Casual reminder that not everyone experiences mental illness and trauma the same way, and there is no "correct" way to do so.
Doing your best not to hurt others is all I'll ever ask of anyone.
Also, if the way other people cope is hurting you, then you need to stop engaging with it. What comforts one person may devastate another, and that doesn't make either of you wrong.
You just need to take care of yourself, and take what responsibility you reasonably can for your own mental health. On the flip side, of course, people need to do their due diligence in making their stuff filterable. I'm never going to say "don't look at it" when the content wasn't avoidable.
Buhh buhh pretty standard stuff, but whatev.

If someone says that they are neutral on ship discourse, this does not mean that they secretly agree with the side you oppose.
If someone says they don't feel like they have enough information to have a solid opinion on ship discourse, this does not mean that they secretly agree with the side you oppose.
If someone says they are uncomfortable with ship discourse, this does not mean that they secretly agree with the side you oppose.
Discourse is draining. It can be stressful or downright triggering to engage with. Someone choosing not to engage with discourse is not a moral failing, and it does not mean that they don’t care.

A PSA to anybody in a group chat that feels toxic, overly negative, or just makes you feel like you're walking on eggshells: you need to leave that chat, for the sake of your mental health. I'm serious. You need to leave. You will feel better eventually. Find people who accept you and make you feel as though you're good enough, like you're on the same level with them.

When it comes to fiction affecting reality, I think the author's intention and the type of story they're writing matter the most. For example, a story that is intended to be educational about certain topics or a fictional character that is inspired by some indigenous culture could have an impact in people's worldviews and behaviors in real life. The reason why I decided to educate myself about CSA and grooming is because of a comic with a main character who goes through these things.
And I'm not saying fiction alone should be blamed for people's ignorance regarding things such as toxic relationships, abuse or racism. Education should always be the primary source of reliable information, but fiction can be an effective eye-opener when it comes to making people actually think about real life issues.

This new term I discovered is such a breath of fresh air. Peacefic, coined by @peacefiction.
God, yes, thank you. Holy crap.
Please, if people want to use this, use it right?? I like my labels to mean something. I can't comfortably call myself proship anymore because it doesn't signify the same thing to literally anyone. I have to reasonably assume that there's a significant amount of people who would genuinely think I'm just calling myself a MAP (I'm not -_-). Like, that's just how it is now. I can't change that. That is the reality of how that label is perceived.
I might start going with neutral/neuship/neufic anyway because I've um, discovered stuff about myself (and about antis) recently. And at least the word neutral is like, meant to be vague? That's fine?
The peacefic ideals are the most important to me. If I tell someone I'm peacefic proship, it should immediately disqualify the connotation of the creep who supports literally everything, even exploitative fiction, and the label combo should also keep the "fiction doesn't equal reality 1:1" thing.
But again I still might not even use anymore proship synonyms for myself because they're going to get fucked by the same problem where my label is meant to give people a quick idea of my beliefs, but it fails to do that and puts a target on me.
Not that I'm the center of the universe or anything. I'm kinda just ranting to the void.
Also this is like completely a shower thought, so feel free to disregard it as me being obsessed with labels and compartments actually, like that's true regardless if I have a point or not lmao—
Why haven't I been calling the types of antis and the types of proshippers I really REALLY don't like "rad-shippers"? Like, we already have this kinda tier-list I've been seeing of inclus, radinclus, and then radqueer. And those terms make sense to me.
So yeah, like...
Proshippers that can't fucking handle criticism of media or how we engage with it, who support explicit rpf of minors, who are free speech absolutists, who jump onto any post that possibly states a dislike for their kink and antagonizes the OP, who think it's okay to trigger antis on purpose, etc.... rad-proshippers.
Antis who think depiction = endorsement no matter what, who think every kink and ship is a direct line to your most raw beliefs and intentions, who think having taboo fictional interests like incest ships or whatev makes you a morally reprehensible person, who reject critical thinking about how and why a story may be insensitive, and/or who think it's okay to harass people for their tagged, properly filtered, or private dark smut... rad-antis.
I dunno! I think it fits. Hell, even ignoring any mention of harassment: I'm so sick of antis who push the narrative that you must NECESSARILY be morally bankrupt and/or predatory for having a rape kink or something, and I'm so sick of proshippers who jump out of their skin at the mere mention of criticism/responsibility and shut down discussions of it.
We're just weirdos on the internet! Just because one person says "I think things should be like this" doesn't mean it WILL be like that if you don't Challenge™ them, and also it doesn't even necessarily mean that person wants the authority to make all their opinions enforceable! I dunno man.
I'm going through a metamorphosis lmao.

That's a lovely flag and very nice emojis. I had to look what peacefic means, and I agree with it. Guess I'm a peacefic neutral.
The only thing I'll note is what do the colors mean and why a swan as a symbol. I understand the peace and book emojis, but not the the bird.

Thanks for making this blog. A friend of mine in the Lego Monkie Kid fandom has been getting really controlling and has vaguely threatened to screenshot anything said by people they disagree with, and I'm willing to bet it will be out of context. They've smeared people in the past for disagreeing with them before, and they're messaging me under the guise of "making sure the others aren't attacking or manipulating" me, but I just feel even more unsafe. I'm scared to block or unfollow them, because they've jumped to conclusions before, and I'm sure they will again and will talk smack behind my back. I'm just so done. It makes me not want to participate in the community of LMK anymore.
Hello! I'm happy that you find comfort in this blog, and I do apologize for taking so long to answer this. 🙏
I'm really sorry that your friend is frightening you. It definitely sounds like a sensitive situation, especially with the friend checking up on you to make sure you're not being influenced by people they don't like or something. ><
I think it would be ideal if you could get out of that situation, but I understand that it can be risky when dealing with someone who's that trigger-happy against people they perceive negatively. I suppose you could try to slowly distance yourself and hope they eventually stop thinking about you and thus don't notice when you unfollow them, but I'm not sure how reliable that is.
I'm struggling to think of better advice, so I'll tag this with some proship tags if that's alright, cause they usually have some thoughts about this sort of thing that might help, and I'll see if anyone I know has ideas too.
Either way, I wish you the best and hope you stay safe, Anon. 💛

Whether someone is an anti or a proshipper tells you almost nothing about them.
So, you're an anti. What do you consider to be too problematic? How big of an age gap is too big? Do you think that childhood friends are "basically siblings?" Where do you set the line between a relationship with some issues that need to be worked out & an abusive one? Do you think ships with a rocky past are incapable of changing and treating each other well in the future? Do you post hate or gore in the tags of problematic ships? Do you think proshippers deserve to be harassed? Do you think proshippers deserve to die?
So, you're a proshipper. Do you consider shipping real people to be included under proship? Do you bully minors for being uncomfortable with underage sexual fiction? Do you respect other people's triggers, or do you insult them for "not being able to tell the difference between fiction and reality?" Do you believe it's important to tag content warnings correctly, or do you think antis deserve to be triggered by unexpected problematic content? Are you genuinely anti-harassment, or do you consider antis fair game to harass? Do you think antis deserve to die?
Picture two people, called A and B. A and B are both antis. A and B are both against problematic fiction, such as depictions of incest, noncon, pedophilia, and abuse. However, B ships two characters that are 17 and 19 years old, respectively. These characters are childhood friends in canon. A calls out B for liking pedophilia and incest. A calls B "secretly proship."
Picture two people, called C and D. C and D are both proshippers. C and D both support the creation and consumption of problematic fiction. However, D is triggered by pedophilia and incest, including in fiction. D puts these topics on their blacklist and requests that accounts that post those topics do not interact with them. C mocks D for their triggers and tells them to "grow up and learn how to separate fiction from reality." C calls D "an anti."
There is no universal standard for problematic fiction. There is no universal standard of antis or proshippers.

Understanding Tongue Drums
Tongue drums are becoming popular in the metaphysical world of powerful energies, natural crystals, and other elements. When devices like the orgone pyramid, available at Peacefful Intentions, transform the energies of a given space, the tongue drum portals you to a different realm where peace and tranquility prosper. The origin of the Tongue Drum can be traced to ancient times, however, the drums we find now are a modern invention. These drums offer many benefits, which we will get into shortly. Tongue Drum, or Happy Drum, is an innovative product that helps soothe our minds like the ever-popular orgone pyramids.

Here's a couple questions to the people who participate in fiction/shipping discourse (mainly for antis but others can weigh in too):
1. When it comes to problematic fiction, where do you draw the line? What kind of things are too problematic in your opinion?
For example: romanticizing abuse or explicit sexual scenes involving children, animals, nonconsenting people etc.
2. How should problematic fiction be handled in your opinion? Is censorship ever okay?
_________
I'm asking this out of curiosity and I want to understand everyone's viewpoints, regardless of stance. Please be civil.
