A reminder that the first thing Kakashi did after getting revived was looking for Naruto
Tumblr media
This man here, literally just came back from death, chakra depleted and all and he only had one thought on his mind "finding and helping his kid" and as tired as he ought to be, he carried him on his back all the way to the village
Tumblr media
Recalling Naruto's words when they first met, acknowledging and being proud of him that he achieved his dreams and telling him not once.. but twice that he did such a good job.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And still some ppl accuse this man of being a bad sensei!!
Edit: before you think about leaving another negative comment or reblog we already discussed why Kakashi is not a bad Sensei and replied to everything you're probably going to say here.

I don’t understand why Kishimoto never added Kakashi having thoughts about Gai when he died in the pain assault. It’s like he doesn’t want his relationship with Gai to have depth but then adds all these interactions and feelings that show how much he means to Kakashi.
He thinks of his dead friends and family, he thinks of Konoha 11, but he doesn’t think about his longest and biggest support? Not even a passing thought?
Might Gai is Kakashi’s best friend and rival, he isn’t a nuisance to him and he doesn’t think he’s less than him. Their relationship has substance and evidence to show how much they care about one another, im sick of Kishimoto and his constant need to diminish it then prop it up and then diminish it again. How can he be so inconsistent with relationships and character writing??

Why I despise Hinata after the s*it show she pulled against Pain - a rant.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
People seem to love Hinata because she was "so brave" and wanted to "protect" Naruto, but that's bulls*it. She just showed her selfishness and attention seeking behavior, but people are so blinded by their love towards her, that they can't see the facts that manga showed us.
What is Narutos biggest nightmare? Being the nine tail fox. He is terrified because people see him as a destructive force that he is fighting his whole life to suppress.
Tumblr media
Since first chapter we know that Naruto doesn't want to destroy the village nor to kill people. He is fighting his whole life just to prove to people he is not a demon fox.
He wants to become Hokage and prove himself as a protector, not a destroyer.
Tumblr media
In first chapters we see that Naruto just wants to be loved, accepted and SEEN, but not AS A FOX, AS NARUTO.
So what our selfish princess gonna do with it?
Show him love and support when he needs it, like after Jirayas death? No.
Tumblr media
She will jump into a fight she has no chance in to confess her attention seeking "love" and comit su*cide in front of Naruto. In front of a child that wants love above anything else. A child that lives for a tiniest substitute of love. What did she expect? To win? No. Everyone knows she has no chance. To help Naruto? I'll show how she "helped" in a second.
She is selfish, she said it herself and I hate her for what she did.
Tumblr media
Her "help" just resulted in Naruto losing all control and letting Kurama out. Because of Hinata, Naruto became the thing he tried HIS WHOLE LIFE to prove his not.
Tumblr media
He is in pain. He's hurting.
Tumblr media
He is giving up and allowing Kurama to take over and to destroy the village. His whole life of being hated is coming back to him and he is turning into a monster that destroyed the village 16 years ago when he was born.
Because of Hinata, Naruto is becoming a monster that is about to kill everyone and destroy everything. That's what she did.
Tumblr media
But luckily we have Minato, the person who really saved Naruto in that situation. The person that Naruto is thanking for saving him.
But let's see how he feels about what Hinata did to him?
Tumblr media
"You did that."
Naruto is so terrified that HE destroyed the village, that he really IS THE MONSTER that's killed a person that "loves" him and destroyed whole village.
He is holding his heart, he is in such mental pain that it's hurts him physically.
Hinata almost ruined Naruto and everything he worked for. She is a terrible person for what did to him. If not for Minato that stopped him, Naruto would destroy everything and hate himself.
And Naruto we know would rather die, than hurt people he cares about and Konoha.
So no, Hinata didn't "save him", she destroyed him into pieces that Minato had to put back.
Tumblr media
And that's not the only person that was hurt by her selfishness, but who cares about her guard that literally told her he would be punished if she got hurt, who cares about others, right? It doesn't matter as long as Hinata had her selfish "love" confession, right?
I hate her, I really do. She's a selfish person that's hurts everyone along her way, just to get what she wants.
Random thought:
Imagine y/n being a child-bearing able person who during the pain invasion in Konoha was pregnant right and like mere hours before the invasion goes into labor and then pain comes and destroy Konoha
Kakashi being your lovely and dutiful husband or boyfriend idk y/n chooses. Has to leave and then in those sad moments of anticipated to be his last breath, his only wish is for you and their child gets taken care of properly. Not the way Naruto and Sasuke were left to their own accord.
Idk if that made sense but it’s was an angsty thought I got
….maybe future imagine? 🤷‍♀️
Every journey has a beginning, even the bad guys’
The Naruto angst got me once again. My favorite antagonists❤️
Jeez I really wish they had explored Orochimaru’s character like they did with Itachi and Nagato. There was so much potential and sad scenes to show XD
Hinata Jumping into the Pain Pit is Weirdly Executed
The Pain Arc is among my favorites, but something’s been bothering me about it; Hinata jumping in to save Naruto before she gets folded by the Deva path. Not the fact that she did it(I think it’s a really nice way for her to overcome her anxiety) or even the scene itself, but the fact that it was her.
To me, Hinata’s role in the arc feels very disconnected. She has no presence at the start of the arc. She doesn’t comfort Naruto after Jiraiya’s death, she certainly has no connections to Pain/Nagato or Konan, she has no relevancy in the question about world peace, and I don’t even remember her making a passing appearance. When Pain attacked, she didn’t take out one of the paths or anything(again I don’t remember her even appearing). Then she suddenly has all of the attention on her as she jumps in, proclaims her love, and gets “killed,” which causes Naruto to flip his shit. Then, she’s back to being near irrelevant. Kakashi carries Naruto back, Sakura hugs him, Hinata makes a brief appearance to show she’s alive, and the arc ends. She doesn’t say anything to him, Naruto isn't especially relieved to see she’s alive, and the confession is never addressed.
Do you see why I think this is a weird decision?
She has one moment of relevancy and then she fucks off until the war arc where she will once again have a brief moment to matter before the epilogue. This decision gets even weirder when you take in the bigger picture. For the scene, Kishimoto needed a liked character with an established relationship with Naruto to futilely jump into save him before getting “killed” by Pain. That character’s “death” would cause Naruto to lose control of the nine-tails, resulting in Naruto meeting Minato and yada yada yada you get the point. (Bonus points if that character jumping in progresses that character’s arc.) Now, I’m not saying Hinata doesn’t meet the criteria, but there were certainly better options. To list a few:
Sakura Haruno was literally right there. She is the primary heroine and love interest of the Naruto franchise. She wasn’t a focus character in the Pain arc, but she was at least present. In early shippuden, it was established that she was insecure about being unable to help Naruto in bigger ways. It was also established that she wanted to help Naruto fight back against the Akatsuki. Moments before the Pain Pit scene, Sakura was shown screaming for Naruto’s help so her having a moment of desperately realizing that someone has to help before turning the tables would’ve been a nice scene. Sakura “dying” would mean that Naruto wasn’t just pushed over the edge by seeing another friend die, but by pretty much losing the last member of the original team 7. I could go on about it being in character for her to do and her saying her choice to step in is selfish would be nice foreshadowing to her later actions in the Five Kage Summit arc and her hugging Naruto at the end of the arc would not only be more impactful but make more sense, but this post is long enough already.
Shikamaru Nara would’ve been a nice segway to becoming Naruto’s right hand man later. He was already one of the most present characters in the arc(helping decode Jiraiya’s code and Naruto moving forward) and it would justify the amount of screen time he’s given in both the arc and the manga. I like Shikamaru as much as the next guy, but it is odd how he’s given disproportionately more character depth and growth than the other tertiary characters despite contributing little to the greater themes of the series and stories of the main characters. Him participating in such a major moment would not only make the prior screen time make more sense but him protecting Naruto specifically could be an alternative start of him choosing to become Naruto’s advisor/assistant. Granted, him jumping in wouldn’t be very “protect the king” or “200 iq” of him, so his decision would have to be justified somehow or lead to some sort of character change.
Iruka Umino would’ve been a gut punch. I’m biased and I love Iruka, but sometimes a story needs to twist the knife and this is literally the arc’s darkest hour. He got a little screen time prior to the attack when he comforted Naruto, Iruka’s death was already teased when the Deva path nearly killed him while he was trying to protect someone, and he appears again at the arc’s finale. Iruka “dying” would, at least temporarily, make Shikamaru telling Naruto about the old generation protecting the new all the more grim. The scene could also be a nice call back to chapter one of the series. I’d also like to add that, while any of Naruto’s friends dying would’ve set him off considering the amount of buildup, him reacting so extremely to Iruka “dying” would’ve been undeniably an in character response and it would’ve added at least a little more weight to him choosing to forgive Nagato.
I think I’ve made my case why, without changing anything outside of who jumps in, at least three other characters would’ve made more sense narratively. So, why Hinata? I have two theories as to why Kishimoto thought he should choose Hinata.
1. Kishimoto originally planned to do something more with her character, but ultimately didn’t. Maybe the editors stepped in, maybe he changed his mind, who knows? Not me. I wasn’t there and even if I was, I’m not fluent in Japanese. This would explain both her stepping in specifically and her actually confessing her feelings, but neither being mentioned or relevant again(save for the one movie). It’s also possible that her encouraging Naruto after Neji’s death was that “something more” but it was just awkwardly executed.
2. Hinata is meant to be thematically relevant in the grand scheme of things.
Remember when I said Hinata didn’t have any relevancy in regards to the larger question about world peace? That wasn’t wholly accurate. To explain why, I have to explain the thematic conflict of the Naruto series very quickly.
The series is packed with commentary on humanity, but the thematic question most relevant to what I’m talking about(and arguably the franchise) is “Is it possible for people to understand each other?” (This is specifically in relation to conflict resolution.) This is why talk no jutsu exists, this is why Naruto and Sasuke’s rivalry is so relevant, and this is why the resolution of Naruto is international alliances rather than systematic change or whatever alternative plot resolution people where expecting. This question is lingering in the background since Part 1, but it’s first vocalized in the Pain arc when Nagato asks Naruto if he thinks world peace is possible(which is a stand in for the thematic question of if he thinks two people understanding each other is possible). Naruto answers that he doesn’t know but he’ll find out then spends the rest of the story doing just that. The Five Kage Summit arc is him finding an answer(only if the anger/hatred which would normally cause conflict is directed at a single target), the War arc is him reevaluating that answer once he sees it fail when put into practice(the infinite tsukuyomi/Obito/Madara), and the Valley of the End/Ending is the presentation of the final conclusion(yes). There’s more to it than that and the discussion of how well the theme was executed and if the conclusion was accurate is still open, but all of that is irrelevant in this discussion.
What does Hinata have to do with this? Simple, Hinata is integral in both Naruto reevaluating his answer in the first place and the conclusion he comes to. Naruto treats a large chunk of the war arc like a personal conflict. To him, it’s less of a world war and more of a “Naruto vs Obito/Tobi/Madara.” Because of that, he’s done whatever he can to shoulder all of the weight of the war. However, Neji dying for his sake was like a personal failure. Naruto, unsurprisingly, began to crumble at that failure(with the help of Obito’s taunts). Hinata snaps him out of it(slaps him out of it?) and reminds him of his ninja way. Specifically, she tells him that his conviction to protect his friends is shared by all of the shinobi there. She tells him that it’s not shared hatred or pain that connects all shinobi, it’s the love they have for their comrades(as cheesy as that might sound). That’s all to say that Kishimoto may have chosen Hinata to enter the Pain Pit to connect her to the theme that she’ll later be an impactful player in forwarding. By having her face off against the antagonist that brings the theme to the forefront, it makes her transition into her later role smoother.
However, I still think the execution was weird and the product we ultimately got leaves something to be desired. This isn’t to say that the Pain arc is ruined by this scene by any means—I wouldn’t blame you for thinking this is a nitpick—but I’m still bothered by it. Hindsight is 20/20, but even without hindsight I think the scene could’ve been better. Kishimoto should’ve either chosen a character other than Hinata to jump in and connect Hinata to the theme in some other way(or use the character she’s replaced by if you want to completely scrap her) or he should’ve given her more time to be present in the Pain arc.
Ibiki x Eiko: Pain war arc.
I woke up this morning and I was just crying my heart out. This image was stuck in my head since I opened my eyes, I needed to let it out and the only way that I knew was writing it down.
Words: 1518
Warming: Mentions of death, blood and dead name.
“This woman feels no pain at all…” His eyes open completely, he felt a deep pain in his abdomen, the woman freed from Ibiki’s prison. He gulped; he looked down. - Summoning technique- was all he heard before kneeled on the floor, vomiting, he couldn’t stand up, the pain froze him; fogging his mind, there was not a single thought but pain. “You have gone worst Ibiki” encouraged himself “Don’t die…she would be mad” He collapsed on the floor. His limbs did not let him move, he was conscious he heard the shrieks, screams, the rumbling, the falling, the destruction of his village…
Eiko did not went to the refuge, she felt uneasy, anxious, what she really wanted to do is find her husband and runaway from the village. They could leave in a far away place, sure they will miss their friends but nothing of this would affect them, they could have an easy-going life. No missions, no torture, no -AHH! – she screamed as a huge boulder from a building fall right behind her. She touched her breast; she could feel how her heart wanted to leave her body. She swallowed it back to its place. She kept running, missing her shoes at some point of her frantic race. She kept eluding debris and whatever she found on her way; her objective was clear the T+I department. When she reached that place, it was all but ruins. She denied and kept walking, nobody seemed around the battle was already settled in another place within Konoha. She walked, she rushed, feeling how the filth of the floor cut her feet, bleeding but she did not care. The explosion noises did not matter to her. He left home with just a simple kiss on her lips, promising to be back on time for dinner.
It seemed like that happened yesterday.
She reached what was left of the building. She wondered, she tried to look for anyone, she wasn’t ready to see him there. She could recognize him anywhere; he was laying on the floor with his face down. She gulped saliva and rushed, one of Tsunade’s slugs was trying to help him. She went to his side:
-Ibiki…-hushed to his ear. No answer. The slug kept working, unbothered by her presence.
-Ibiki….-she repeated moving his shoulders, trying to get some answer for him.
-Honey…-her voice already broken; a squeak was what she could afford.
-Deadfish…? – she bit her lip and started to call him names as she always did. Their names, their play…
His vision was different, the door of his home. He was slightly confused by it, but he could smell Eiko’s dinner from the door. It brought him peace; he opened the door and step in such a familiar place.
-DAD! – He froze in place, a figure unknown to his memories that stabbed his heart came arms opened at him. He received the hug confused. He patted the kids head, they looked at him with a familiar face, it was his, but it was also Eiko’s. Their hair was short and wavy, but it had his greyish colour, the eyes small and terrifying hide Eiko’s colourful pupil. The big mouth revealed that some teeth were missing, they pointed at one of those holes – It finally came out! – he looked around, Eiko’s silhouette was finishing to prepare something to eat.
-It did? - he found himself answering. The kid walked towards the kitchen counter and sat there, Eiko turned around revealing that there was a smaller creature sleeping near her breast, she had them tied up with some short of blanket to kept them closer.
-Wash your hands Ibiki…- said her with a smile, she left a big plate on the counter
-Lasagne!! – screamed the kid. Ibiki smiled, he loved her lasagne, he could differentiate hers upon a million different ones. He got closer to her and cup her face in his hands.
-Are you going to kiss the chef? – mocked her. He found himself kissing her, inspecting the inside of her mouth with his tongue, minding little that…their kids were watching him kissing their mother so profusely. He got her near him, feeling her heat, her warmth, smelling that sweat aroma of freshly cooked food…
On the other side she did not receive any kiss from her lover, it did not matter how many times did she tried to make his lips part apart and kiss her back. His face was rigid, static…lifeless. Her tears have become a roaring waterfall that wet his features. She kept calling him by different names, she couldn’t hold it anymore. She bit her lips, she blood, she would hate herself for it – Amhya…- muttered softly, hoping that hearing such a dreadful memory would wake him up roaring in fury. He didn’t. He remained quiet, he did not look at her angry, he did nothing, he was laying there:
-Ibiki please…- No answered
-Please…don’t go…please…my loved…please…- her hair danced in the wind, violently, her make up completely ruined and her feet and mouth bleeding…she was already losing herself to madness, she was ready to die there in his arms, hugging him, kissing him. She wanted that the demonic creature that started this whole mess hit her with one of those boulders. They did not need any engraving that proved that their bodies were laying there. She just needed to be sure that her meat and bones would rest side by side with his.
-My knight please…you promised me… we will have dinner together…Ibiki…you promised it…
-Dinner is ready! – She said lively. He kissed her forehead once more and looked at the beautiful cargo that she had near her torso. He peered it, small, fragile, safe in their mother’s embrace. He let his fingers round through their small puff of hair, he kissed their head feeling his whole body shaken and weaken. He sat at the table, and helped everyone got their serve of food, the kid ate furiously the food, just like him, big bites, and a glued smile when food was in their mouth. Eiko let her breast out and he saw how the tiny them sucked from her nipple; she ate small portions.
-More!
-You need to slow down when eating…Ibiki do something! – Ibiki laughed. Their appetite was just like his, he just gave him another portion of the food. He loved it in there. He loved this place…he looked through the window and he was stuck with horror, Konoha falling into pieces. He wasn’t on his way home…he looked around. They don’t have kids. The whole home started to shake, rumble under an earthquake, they kept their smiles as if they were not sensing the seism. He was no father; she was no mother. He clutched his fist on the table. There was no family. He looked at the window a shriek, a banshee’s lament calling his name… He looked at Eiko on his side.
-What’s wrong, lightbulb?
-You are not real
-What? Have you hitting your head with something or what? – the kid laught. He denied with his head, he had no kid, he had no kids… He ran to the door and opened.
-IBIKI!!!- shouted Eiko, she had decided that if his dead name did not bring him back, she would smack, hit him until his eyes were opened once more or her life out of her. He felt the hit, sharp, painful, aching, he stopped the second slap, although by the heat he was feeling in his face, it was not the second. Her face was a mess of make-up, tears, buggers, and hair stuck in there. She was all puffed and red. The air that entered his lung was fire and the tears that were falling into his face, felt like a spring rain.
-Eiko…-muttered
-You fucking bastard! I hate you! You piece of shit! – he started to insult him with everything she got. He let his head stablished while she banged his chest – You stupid son of a bitch! You… - she ran out of names to call him and cried in his chest.
-Go to a bunker…-muttered him. She denied with her head, he did his best to sit, he saw the destruction that his village was in. His face got pale, and he hugged her. She looked at him, he kissed her. He memorized every corner of her mouth; his memory did not grab all of it as it should. He let his tongue roam free inside of her, he let his hand rest on her hair feeling its texture. He put an end to the kiss.
-I am sorry…- muttered.
-Summoning technique: Iron maiden
-IBIKI NO!!- he trapped her in his summoning technique, he saw how the iron lady protected her from the destruction and mess that their village was in. He stood up and touched the iron maiden, he heard her screams, her cursing.
-I must…-she silenced for a moment ready to hear whatever he had to say
-I must protect us. – his voice was shaking – I must protect our future – he left. He had a new dream to protect.
Thoughts on Pain from Naruto
Tumblr media
Now that I'm done with #Naruto, Pain's arc and character are my absolute favorite. I would even go as far as saying that he is one of my all-time favorite characters in anime. Imo, this was the series & Kishi's writing at its best. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
Most characters in Naruto have tragic back stories, but #Nagato's motives behind his actions were the most convincing and compelling in the creation of Pain and everything he embodies. Everything he did made sense. At first I deeply resented him for what he did. I mean, how can you not after he killed such a loved character (for good)? But as you learn about him you begin to realize that he is just a product of the never ending cycle of hatred he spoke of.
Before encountering Pain, the only point of view we got was through the Leaf Village and Naruto without much consideration of the suffering their actions may have caused. Pain's character brought a realistic picture of the state of the shinobi world, which completely challenged Naruto's understanding of justice and views on peace. Like #Naruto, all Pain wanted was peace, and his philosophy, regardless of how he tried to achieve it, was thought-provoking, realistic, and so relatable.
Honestly, almost everything about the way his character was written is amazing.
....So you claim Hinata had no consideration for life of anyone other than Naruto... and then use a screenshot from the manga of her literally showing consideration for the wellbeing of someone who isn't Naruto.
Hinatas guard: I'll never be forgiven if you got hurt.
Tumblr media
Hinata: *proceeds to get BADLY HURT in seconds... for Naruto-kun*
Tumblr media
KO LITERALLY TOLD HINATA THAT HER "NOT BEING HURT" WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIS LIFE.
Knowing how nice the Hyuga clan is to not-main family, the lack of forgiveness can be rather... deadly. They put cursed seals on THEIR CLOSEST RELATIVES, so it's safe to assume they wouldn't have much mercy to further one's.
Tumblr media
Hinata knows this. She saw what happened when someone thought about her in a "bad way".
Tumblr media
But Hiashi is talking about "foolishness" of his brother, I think he will be a lot nicer about ORDERS TO HIS SUBORDINATES, right? Sure...
But... well... Ko is not Naruto-kun, so who cares about his life or if he gets punished?
Hinata only cares about Naruto and everyone else's life is irrelevant to her.
In fact, Ko's life is so irrelevant to Hinata, that she doesn't even remember about him later on. Is he dead? Punished? K*lled as a punishment? Meh, NARUTO-KUN 👉👈.
That's just how she is.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a few panels later, it wasn't so hard to find, but tell me you didn't read the manga without telling me you didn't read it, I guess... 🤷‍♀️

So does anyone remember that time when Sakura called for Naruto's help in the Pain Arc and how everyone makes fun of her for that?
And how they call her useless?
Well I have something to say about that scene.
It was not because she was useless.
It was because she called for help the only person that could even stand a chance against a person that destroyed Konoha in one fucking jutsu, and it was the same person that killed her sensei, so who else was she supposed to do?
Fight Pain?
Keep healing people while everything is down?
Sure Konohamaru did defeat one of the Pains, but it was thanks to a surprise attack and was a goddamn Rasengan, you know, an A rank Jutsu.
What jutsu was enough for her to stand a chance? She is a medic ninja, a ninja that is supposed to heal people.
Hell, I would too call for help for Naruto since it was known to her that he was studying Sagejutsu, you know, the main reason why he left Konoha.
Stop calling her useless, and start looking at the context you dumbasses.
