If you haven't seen it already, PLEASE go watch it. Don't Google anything about it, you have to go into this blind. It has well written canonical sapphics with a hopeful ending, I promise you it is worth it (tw for sexual assault tho)
I'm seriously so bummed that Suzume didn't even get a nomination this year in the Oscars. I thought non-Ghibli anime movies were finally getting their time to shine but I guess not, even though Suzume is, to me, one of the best animated films of 2023.
