Has the freakout from twitter earlier today about the fact that the Arachnids in the UK shooting script says Sonya is apparently FIVE YEARS OLDER than Yaz made it to tumblr yet, because... Listen I fully choose to believe this was the plan at some point and then got changed at casting/shooting because Yasmin Khan is an older sibling and you cannot change my mind.

JJ Maybank x burnt out, overachieving Kook

She comes from a large family, always compared to her siblings. Doesn’t matter how hard she works, she can’t quite get the approval or praise from her family. She wants it so bad, wants to be seen.

She’s ruined herself trying to live up to the family name, wasn’t her fault she had a full on mental breakdown at the country club and is banned temporarily. That kook ex boyfriend had what was coming in her eyes.

There’s rumours swimming around that she’s addicted some sort of drug but little did they know it’s just in the form of a tall blonde guy who allows her the space to breathe.

JJ Maybank sees her across the perfect lawn he’s cutting. Her shoulders drooped, arms crossed making her appear smaller as the housekeeper shouts at her to stay outside till the kitchen floor is dry. He doesn’t know that’s the only bit of attention she receives at home.

He hasn’t seen her before, apart from later that day when she’s chucking anything she can get her hands on at the kook that angered her. There’s a fire in her eyes that he’s all too familiar with, the helplessness clawing out, so she lashes out the moment someone hurts her because she’s at the end of her tether. Holding on, to god knows what.

Then there’s the meet cute. JJ’s hanging round the back of the club after his shift, smoking off the stress of the day when she crashes through the fire escape door. Her hands resting on her knees as she catches her breath. The blood drumming in her ears and the thumping in her head seem to silence as his voice filters through the mess in her head.

He doesn’t say anything else just gives her his joint and pats her back. She watches him zip away on his motorbike, the burn on her fingertips reminding her of his gift balancing between them.

The second time he runs in to the her, she’s kicking the shallow edge of water with her boots. He’s wading out of the sea, surf board tucked under his arm. She’s not dressed for the beach, clunky boots, heavy clad in short overalls that showcase her broad shoulders perfectly. The bucket hat hiding her eyes, nose slightly bigger but fit her face and accentuate the shape of the Cupid bow lips. She’s not alone though, an older sister calling her from the row of towels accompanied by some more girls topping up their tans.

The third times the charm though. JJ hears her soft voice, not the scratched scream he first heard in her moment of rage. They might not be from the same place but they’re cut from the same cloth. Tongues dripping with hatred for their fathers, last names weighing them down.

She doesn’t know how long it’s been since she could breathe. The knot in her stomach disappearing as soon as she sees his smile. The comfort they give and find in each other.

JJ pushes her out of her comfort zone, gives her space to feel her way around and find herself. There’s so much potential in the unknown, the expectations set by her family falling off like shredding your armour after a big battle.

The moment to be still. To relax in his embrace, to be held. She just wanted to be seen and held.

Pyrrha learns about Dulcie??? 👀

this WIP is only bullet points in a google doc right now, but i want to properly write it out someday!!

the concept:

in the early weeks of living together, pyrrha notices that camilla and palamedes are unusually good at taking care of nona. from the start, they’ve always tried to respect her agency, even though nona can’t reliably communicate with anyone yet. in general, they have so many caregiving skills that you wouldn’t expect a pair of twenty-two-year-olds to have, and they take on these new responsibilities as if they already expected to have them — as if they’d been studying for years in preparation.

pyrrha wants to know what’s up with that.

she starts with camilla first, because camilla is the one in the body for most of the day, and she’s the one who volunteers to help nona in the bath. (it’s an involved task, especially when nona tries to eat the soap. it’s hard to squirm away.)

pyrrha asks camilla if she trained as a nurse or something on top of being a cavalier — you never know with sixth kids; they’re overachievers like that — but camilla deflects, saying that she and the warden both received some medical training, and it started when they were very young.

(camilla refuses to answer any follow-up questions. notably, she frowns when pyrrha asks if she’s an older sister.)

eventually, it’s palamedes who answers. he tells pyrrha about dulcie — the years of correspondence, the efforts to make her more comfortable, the life he wished he and camilla could have had with her, the doomed proposal, the attempt to avenge her, et cetera. wistfulness drips through his speech — palamedes would’ve been honored to care for her in whatever way she let him, and he and camilla wanted to be realistic about what that might entail.

pyrrha recognized camilla for what she was almost immediately. as palamedes speaks, looking old and tired beyond his years, pyrrha realizes with an odd pang in her chest that he’s a landmine person, too.

I drew. a lot for this. Also heads up for non RE mutuals this is going to be. confusing for you. I'm going to do my best to annotate and provide context but you are in for a wild ride.

Anyway long ass lore post for how Lisa and Robbie go from fighting to working together in this AU.

In the RE8 cannon all of the Dimitrescu daughters are made at the same time but for the sake of ✨the situations✨ I am going to change that. Lisa lived the longest as a human before being assimilated into the mold with a Cadou (infecting extension of the Megamycite). Technically her 'sisters' are older than her, as they were assimilated a while ago. Lisa has been a member of house Dimitrescu for about 2 years now. This puts her in this. Weird middle child zone. She wants to make her 'family' proud but she's also aware that what makes them proud isn't really the most achievable thing in the world (expecially with Bela to contend with. Older sibling overachiever to the maximum). She's got a certain degree of distance from them and sometimes wonders if she wasn't better off before all of this. Her memories are fuzzy but still there for the most part. She cant remember faces or names but she remembers feelings and situations. She doesen't remember families being like this (she wants OUT).

Chasing prey brought in is fairly standard for her. It's some of the only entertainment she gets. So when she catches Robbie exploring around the castle she has no idea that he's special in any way. He's just some new guy she gets to mess with before eating and DAMN he's FUN. If she didn't know any better she could almost think that he has experience being chased around (he does. he very much so does. all of RE7's worth). What she ALSO doesn't know is that Mother Miranda (big bad. Different from Lady Dimitrescu, who she refers to as 'mother') is planning on using Gabe (who is replacing baby Rose in this) to try and resurrect her dead kid with a 'perfect vessel' and this requires. uh. disassembly (in the base RE8 gameplay the reason Ethan goes to each house is because uhhhhhhhh his infant daughter has been dismembered and stored in jars and he needs to collect them so he can put her back together.... yeah). Robbie intervenes before this can get going and is instead going house to house because if he wants to get out of this stupid fuckass villiage he needs to collect the key components to unlock the gate keeping him in here (i need him to have a reason. to kill everyone. its important to me ok).

When Lisa finds out this random, but fun guy, she's been chasing who she thought was JUST SOME NORMAL GUY killed one of her sisters she mentally goes 'Oh. OH. THERES A CHANCE FOR ME TO GET OUT OF HERE'. That in conjunction with discovering Mother Miranda is planning on FULLY DISMEMBERING A CHILD she uh. Makes some decisions.

What you have to understand about her plans of matricide is that neither Lady Dimitrescu or her sisters can actually really fully die. Sure, their bodies are gone, but their consciousness is stored in the hive mind and they can reform later after gathering their strength. If she has to put her kinda shitty found family in time out for the sake of getting herself out of here + keeping her newly revived conscience clean she's absolutely going to do it.

(fuckin. backgrounds. dialogue. fuck. why can things not just take place inside of the void. DUKE MY BELOVED WE LOVE AND RESPECT DUKE IN THIS HOUSE HES A REAL ONE fuck now I got it in my head that he keeps trying to play matchmaker for them and i need to. go draw that because its too funny not to.)

Lisas plan involves this lab I had her mention in the comic above. It's where Robbie needs to go to synthesize more poison for the dagger of deaths flowers, and SUPPOSEDLY where a medicine that might allow her to go outside again might be (enemies of Lisas type become SIGNIFICANTLY weaker in the cold. She could try to bundle up but its still really not a good idea). She would love to go there herself, but it's in an area of the castle thats exposed to the cold of the outdoors.

The Two of them make a fairly decent team and Lisa finds herself having a LOT more fun hunting with someone else than she does on her own. They balance each other out pretty well; Robbie works primarily with guns so he can watch Lisas back while she's up close wrecking any grunts they run into. It's also pretty helpful having someone who can turn into a swarm of flies for puzzle solving purposes.

After all this Robbies trust for her increases SIGNIFICANTLY. He's still not really sure about her, but she's moved out of the 'active threat' classification into the 'kinda helpful' zone.

Lisa's plan has three ways it could go:

They all fail miserably and get sent to mental and physical time out in the megamycite.

They win and get to go free but either the medicine isn't there or it doesen't work. In which case she's just planning on getting as many coats as possible and Try-or-Die-ing it.

The medicine is there and she actually gets to roam free

Luckily for her, the medicine IS there, it DOES work, and Robbies sense of honor / noticing her usefulness (its hard to wage a one man war on an entire community of mutants ok you cant blame him for appreciating having some ACTUAL HELP for once) all align for the best possible scenario.

The cold does still affect her; her healing isn't as quick as it usually is and her increased strength / speed is a bit reduced, but she can go!! outside!!

She decided to stick with Robbie in getting out of the village as a whole. She doesen't really know what the world outside is like but anything has to be better than here (plus if she stays here she's probably getting shoved into the Megamycite by Mother Miranda PERMENANTLY and that just. wont do).

Also yes Lisa being with Robbie for the rest of his adventures means that she is there for Heisenbergs 'proposal'. She uh. Does not like that much.

Intergalactic Sisters - April is cockblocking Raph from making a move on her sister, Mona Lisa.

Mazes & Mutants - Raph and Mona Lisa are a barbarian warrior battle couple ready to ruin your day with their chaos. (that or Mona is a pirate instead of a barbarian)

Vampire AU - Raph is a vampire, Mona Lisa is a vampire hunter, hijinx issue.

Medieval AU - Raph is the Prince of the Hamato Kingdom, he falls in love with Mona Lisa, Princess of the Salamandrian Kingdom, but he is heartbroken to discover that she is engaged to his older brother, Prince Leonardo.

A little about Junie

Hino Junie

Physical appearance please reference the pictures above but you can really envision her however you want whenever you read. I personally see her a certain way but I don't know how to draw or have a face claim for her lol she just looks a certain way in my brain. The only concrete physical feature I want readers to envision for her is her hair as I felt it was important for her to have some blonde to match with her brother but I didn't want her to be fully blonde.

Cobra's (Hino Junpei) younger sister

By default ALL of Sannoh's little sister

They nicknamed her “Baby” because she is the baby of the family. Baby and Junie are used interchangeably.

Baby used to hate the nickname but grew used to it over time.

Cobra and Yamato taught her how to fight for self-defense purposes but they REFUSE to allow her to be a part of anything S.W.O.R.D related.

But they also contradict themselves because any time something is happening they be telling Junie like she's their certified therapist.

Like when Noboru was being a little shit thinking he was gonna work for Iemura? Girl, Junie was stuck listening to both of them spill their hearts out about it.

So really she isn't involved in the fights but knows everything going on.

Their father was never in the picture, and their mother isn't very present either. This left Cobra to be the one to raise Junie.

Cobra didn't mind, he loved Junie a lot but raising a girl in the world he was involved in was stressful.

Being a girl was already hard, throw in gang life and you have an endless cycle of stress.

Cobra's money he earns from the gas station goes to bills and paying for Junie to go to school.

Cobra never saw school for himself but he does for her. He always encouraged her to do well in school. This led to a lot of arguments while the two were growing up.

"But you didn't go to school!" "That was me! I want YOU to go to school so YOU can be BETTER."

This stopped around the age of 11. Junie realized he was working really hard, juggling being the leader of Sannoh and also raising her when he really didn't need to.

Raising Junie should've been their parents' job, not his, and yet here he was trying his best.

Junie went from average grades to being an overachiever because it felt like the only way to pay Cobra back.

Junie found an interest in contemporary dance and piano.

So Cobra transferred her from her old school to an art school farther from home.

The commute ended up being a little longer ( a 30-minute motorcycle ride instead of a 10-minute walk) but thank god she had a bunch of older brothers who drove motorcycles to send her to school and pick her up at the end of the day.

If it was late and Junie thought it was better to stay at school, she would just crash at one of her friend's dorms.

Some of the girls at school were nice. They wanted to know what living in S.W.O.R.D was like. They asked questions and found it cool that Junie's home life was different from theirs.

Some girls were real fuckin mean though. They would sneer at her, making fun of her home life. Talking about how a girl with that background had no business being here.

They also talked about your looks because you definitely looked the part of a delinquent's sister also. The school didn't make you dye your blonde hairstreak back to black, you just had to put your hair up and it didn't bug them too much.

It used to bug Junie when she first started but eventually, tuned them out considering she was top of the class anyway. (insert that one video of Bebe Rexha saying slay here lol)

Naomi was Baby's older sister. You loved having all the Sannoh members as older brothers but needed an older sister at times.

Junie's first period was a nightmare for Cobra because the dude didn't know how to explain it lol. Thank god we have Naomi though!

Hair, makeup, and emotional days were with Naomi also. Considering Sannoh can barely keep their own emotions in-tact, they had to leave that to Naomi.

Yamato's mom loved Junie. She always remembered to make extra onigiri for her as well. She wasn't the best but she tried.

Yamato's ranting about his home life usually fell on Baby because she listened to him. He didn't feel the need to always be strong around her like he did everyone else. He knew that at the end of the day, she would listen to him. Funnily she acted like both an older and younger sister to him. Always checking in on him but also always there to annoy him

DTC was scared of Baby low-key because she wasn't scared to fight with them but they all loved her.

Baby is always calling them out on their shit and telling them that "That's why you're all single."

They all come to her for their therapy sessions also😂

Whenever they needed someone to talk to they came to Junie because she would listen to them before roasting them.

Everyone in Sannoh was protective of Junie. They also all helped Cobra to keep Baby motivated to go to school. It was like having one really big family.

Anyone could make fun of her or talk down to her but at the end of the day, their family probably wasn't nearly as good as hers <3

Current Timeline

The current timeline following the movies and TV Shows currently in the franchise

The first person Junie meets is Hyuga, pre- S.W.O.R.D. and pre-High&Low. Junie meets Hyuga while her brother is active in Mugen. This is right after Hyuga-Kai disbands because their kidnap attempt on Cobra failed. After all, Mugen saved him. Junie meets Hyuga when he first attacks Mugen for his brothers and is arrested.

Junie also meets the Amamiya Brothers during Mugen era. She has her own little run-in with Masaki and Hiroto

Once S.W.O.R.D. emerges, the first official leader she meets is Rocky.

Junie meets Hyuga, Rocky, and White Rascals at age 12 and these encounters happen before the start of the series.

Junie meets Oya and Rude Boys during Story of SWORD / Road to High&Low at age 13

High&Low The Movie is when she officially meets Mighty Warriors

During High&Low The Movie and High&Low End of Sky Junie is 14 years old.

Final Mission and The Worst Junie is 15 years old

According to the Discord Besties, The Worst starts like a week after Final Mission so that's what I'm going based off of

Once The Worst X comes around Junie is 16 years old

Since we don't get an actual timeline for the franchise of how much time passes between each show and movie, this is just me doing a rough estimate because I need Junie to be old enough to know what's going on during S.W.O.R.D. era but also still be Fujio's age by the time he is introduced since he is her love interest. Fujio is a third-year student by the time Worst X rolls around, which is the last year of high school in the Japanese school system. According to Google, Japanese students are around 17-18 years old at that time because their third year is the equivalent of a USA student's senior/last year in high school so I have Fujio's age sitting at 17 in my story.

I will get into Fujio and Junie's relationship more in posts dedicated to them.

Again this is all a rough estimate because we never get a concrete timeline in this franchise so don't take my word for it lol.

There is potential for this to change if LDH ever makes more High&Low movies or shows but that doesn't seem to be happening any time soon so...

And this is my OC and my story you can't tell me I'm wrong it's literally mine 😂

I will be making a master list for Junie and the shit she goes through living in SWORD because I have so much for her. Junie's story was supposed to all be one post but I realized it was already too long and we weren't even halfway into the lore yet so I had to split it into multiple parts.

Credit for High&Low and the contents from the franchise goes to its respective owners. Hino Junie however is an OC and belongs to me. Her dialogue in scenes that occur in the franchise belong to me and scenes that I make for her that do not appear in the franchise belong to me as well as I am the creator. i remembered how pre purple hair era, fans would make edits of amity w her natural hair colour, and i was kinda curious how that would look on her current style

she looks like it's 2010 and she is A LITTLE BIT scene but not fully devoted to it so there's just a weird sort of Scene Lite vibe to it. and also she's a Quirky marching band academic overachiever kid but she's still a little bit scary even to her peers

she looks like she would tell my 9 year old self that if i prepare some pizza rolls for both of us then i can hang out in her room and listen to her new paramore cd with her while she rearranges her bookshelf, and if i am quiet and helpful during that then MAYBE we can watch a pirated movie together later

I wrote this as a part of my advent calendar fics, I hope you like it!

It is a Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin x gn!reader imagine.

Day 20: meeting the family

Warnings: none

To be honest you had doubts about meeting your boyfriend’s family.

It wasn’t that you were scared that they were mean or anything.

But Jake was such a perfect specimen that you felt like every one of them had to be an overachiever, and there were at least six of them.

Jake’s mother seemed normal enough from what he had told you while his father was a politician, aspiring to climb higher and higher on that ladder of opportunity.

Jake had an older sister, Lisa Anne, who was expecting her first child with her husband while being one of the top partners at a law firm, Jake’s younger sister Anne graduated top of her class and studied medicine in some prestigious college.

The youngest Seresin, Thomas, was a gifted football player and aimed for a career in the field.

Every one of the Seresins had a list of accomplishments that far exceeded anyone you had ever met.

You had told Jake that you were nervous to meet them but Jake had only laughed it off, telling you that you had nothing to worry about.

You didn’t quite believe him, so when Jake asked if you wanted to meet his family for the first time around Christmas time you reluctantly agreed to it.

Jake drove the two of you to a small town near Beaumont, where the Seresins had been born and raised.

As expected the outside of the house looked as meticulous as you had imagined, the perfect American family house with the perfect Christmas decorations put up.

It wasn’t too much or too little, just the perfect amount, and you looked over the clothes you had chosen for the event to see if you had chosen well.

“You look great, baby, don’t worry,” Jake said softly as he moved to hold you closer, wrapping his arm around your waist as he rang the bell.

You held your breath as you waited for the door to open and let out the air you were holding when an older, small woman with a Christmas sweater stood in front of you.

“Oh darling, how we’ve missed you,” the woman said as she made her way to embrace her son, a wide smile on her face as her arms wrapped around his middle.

You smiled too as you watched their loving exchange, before the woman turned to look at you.

“Love, it’s so good to finally meet you! My name’s Cecily, but most people call me Celia,” she smiled as she moved in to give you a hug that was at least as welcoming as the one her son had gotten, shocking you with how welcoming she was.

“I’ve heard so much about you, dear, you’ll have to tell me more,” she smiled, taking your forearm gently but determinedly as she pulled you along into the house.

“Don’t be shy, we’ll all get along so well, I know it! Jake can take care of the bags, he knows where to go,” she went on, she looked excited as she accompanied you into the living room.

“Frank, darling, they’re here,” she shouted, and a tall, broad man appeared in the doorway.

You slowly realized that the Seresin family looked very similar, the two sons looked almost exactly like their father, and the daughters took after their mom.

Frank Seresin looked like a politician, he was wearing a pullover above a checked dress shirt and khakis.

“Good to meet you,” he said as he reached out his hand to shake yours instinctively, greeting you as if you were someone he’d undergo a business deal with instead of his son’s significant other.

Celia made sure you were well taken care of and Frank engaged you in a conversation about politics, the main field of his interest and expertise as you realized.

Jake hurried to join you to be by your side and after a while he stole you away to show you his room, even if it was just to get some peace and quiet without his parents in the same room.

“Your parents are amazing,” you said softly and Jake chuckled, holding you close on his childhood bed to relax a bit.

“They’re a handful though,” he chuckled, and you smiled as well.

You were about to say something else when you heard his mom yell from downstairs.

“Loves, I’d like you to help with this batch of Christmas cookies I’m making!”

While you were happy that his family was so accepting you slowly realized that you’d have to come up with a lot of energy over the course of the next few days.

Random Facts

Atlas is the only son and oldest of two. He may only be 18 months older but he doesn't let her forget it either. He and Ivy had been close growing up until they became teenagers. Atlas isn't into school and getting straight A's. He often feels like the black sheep in a family of overachievers. His sister was always on the honor roll and won multiple scholarships where he barely got into a good school.

He knows he's a disappointment to his parents but he can't imagine becoming a doctor like them. The sight of blood makes him ill but he likes to help people which is why he volunteers to tutor students who need help.

His favorite book is Treasure Island and every sommer when they went to visit his uncles on Isla Paradiso he'd spend hours on the beach searching for treasure.

He has a fascination with the starry skies and would sneak out of the house when everyone else was asleep to stare at the sky.
