i still cant believe the legends only broke time once so heres all the other ways they broke time:
behrad and gideon try to bake an apple pie, and they take to heart the fact that, to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first start with the universe
ava's not had a great day and gary has broken time and is desperatly trying to cover it up whilst sara distracts ava using increasingly wild methods. when ava finds out she gives everyone the silent treatment for a week (apart from sara)
ray and nate want to go see star wars on its opening weekend but the screening is so jam packed with time travellers it finally tips over the edge and breaks time
ava and sara are trying to buy a house and they find one they adore, but someone gets there first, so ava nips back in time and gets it first, creating a loop that breaks time. ava is devastated.
spooner wants to keep seeing the eclipse (after being strongarmed by astra to wear the glasses) but they go one too many times and tear a hole in reality. luckily the hole looks pretty identical to the eclipse and no one notices

okay listen i was talking to ki about constantine in legends and we ended up on "zari and behrad and astra but in constantine" and let me tell you. this idea is delicious
astra kind of already has a set plot we can come back to her if we'd like bc i, tumblr user zaritarazi, would, surprisingly, love to talk about the idea of zari & behrad tarazi and how they would fit and act in this universe instead of the legends one
now you're going to have to walk with me a bit because i am, for all intents and purposes, kind of hot glueing parts of dc magic canon together- in fairness, this is also what dc comics does and i am objectively more valid- so we have black adam who never actually shows up in this imagined second? third? season of nbc's constantine, he's allowed to be bi in this one, but basically zari and behrad are minor characters that flit in and out to be like hey. just a reminder there's way bigger things out there and some of them, at some point, will be either your fault or your problem. also did you kill doctor fate you stupid fuck
so like in my head zari is a mix of comics canon, archeology adjacent, very heavily zari tarazi, outside presentation of a very bubbly socialite (THIS IS A TRICK) actual personality of like, extraordinarily clever, too sharp-witted, cares about humanity, but also feels very detached from it by this point. and she's aware of that and she's not thrilled about it. she and john have a deeply antagonistic relationship, and she's right, they flirt constantly and only through negging.
essentially both consider the other a con-person and a professional liar and King or Queen Not to Be Trusted, any time john's flirting gets too friendly zari threatens to tell teth-adam and any time she does that john asks her why he's never actually around (this is a complicated plot point i haven't decided on. i'm writing an imaginary third? season of a show that didn't get a second. bear with me)
actually everyone shut up i'm a genius bc felix faust is a big antagonizer of black adam and john constantine, had a super gross plot when he brought adrianna back to life that we will not be using, but he is a common enemy even though john kills him once or twice a season. bringing the tarazis in as signifiers of the far-off black adam circling in the distance bc john can't kill faust well enough is like... kind of brilliant of me, actually,
also zari is very very good at getting rare items, either because she's rich or very charming or both. i don't think she's a celebrity in this one, i think the tarazis are just rich, not sure how or why, roll with it, but she's a very good finder of things, and also she can still talk to dragons. this is mentioned once and never explained
okay this post went on way longer for zari than i expected- i'm sure you knew this would be the case but you know me better than i know myself- behrad but in nbc's constantine, he's allowed to be bi in this one, post to follow at some point soon

Request - Based on the headcanon of Hope Mikaelson x male!reader headcanon where his a full on tribrid and is part of the Legends (DC's Legends of Tomorrow). Imagine Hope meets Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon (takes place before she meets y/n).

the way they were treated after s1 is honestly disgusting. immediately backing out of an interracial relationship just to monogamously pave the way for a new white love interest? gross as fuck! the writers admitted that they basically wrote themselves into a corner with karolsen, saying they're both too "noble" for tv-worthy relationship drama post-canonization.
which is just… sooo dumb.
they're too noble, you say? okay, make that the drama. make them repress their emotions for the sake of their relationship, make them start to resent each other because of it, make them passive-aggressive and secretive and feel like they have to walk on eggshells together. it took me less than five seconds to come up with tv-worthy karolsen drama.
but this is abt qpr karolsen, so-
i do love the "best as friends" line. because they are very, very good friends. their friendship is just that- but they're friends that get jealous, friends that have kissed, friends that have been in love. and that's never treated as a reason they can't be best friends.
none of that is inherently queerplatonic, but with them? i totally see it that way. this is a real 'what were YOU doing at the devil's sacrament?' moment.

behind the scenes-wise, and pretty narratively, they're treated as having a brother-sister relationship, and i think found family is its own sort of platonic partnering? i'm not one of those people that think found family has to perfectly emulate legal family, there's nothing even remotely incestuous or otherwise morally corrupt with blurring the lines in a found family.
caitco aren't as physical as karolsen, they don't do mouth-on-mouth kisses or have sex, and i think they would rarely call one another boyfriend-girlfriend. (queerplatonic) partner or friend or best friend is what they go with

probably the other reason behrad doesn’t really crystallize as a character in season 5 is that all the characters he has the strongest relationships with are more preoccupied with their relationships with other characters. zari is first dealing with nate’s advances and then busy with constantine. nate is mooning over zari and also dealing with ray leaving. the sort of feeble attempt to establish something with charlie is maybe meant to combat this but it kind of backfires bc of behrad’s death and maisie richardson-sellers leaving the show.
there aren’t any characters who are really focused on behrad. and honestly that kind of works with his personality. behrad is not someone who makes himself the center of attention. he seems to prefer being in a more supportive role, and there is something positive and powerful in how the show sees value in that. but it also means that his character easily stagnates and turns shallow. i get the sense that one of the ways the show tries to evade that issue in season 6 with astra and spooner is by pairing the two of them up and having them first clash and then become friends. that relationship helps reveal who those two characters are, and highlights how they are similar and different.
of course the other issue is that behrad is a new character who is being introduced as though he has been there all along. so the other characters all treat him like he’s an already established character, which makes it harder to find an excuse to put him in a situation that would more definitively establish who he is for the audience. part of the reason “here i go again” works so well as an episode establishing zari 1.0 is that she and her teammates don’t know each other super well, so as they get to know each other better we the audience also get to know zari better. but since behrad is already close with all his teammates it doesn’t work to put him in that kind of situation.
the characters behrad is closest to, zari and nate, have a lot of stuff going on independent of him, because they are previously established characters (zari of course is a new version of the character but the audience already has some familiarity with and attachment to her because of the previous zari we knew). so they get a lot of focus in the show on plot points that have little to do with him. behrad doesn’t have that past relationship with the audience, so he doesn’t get that focus, but he also isn’t new to the characters, since he was retconned in, so his character has both those disadvantages. and his character development in season 5 suffers for it.

This video contains heartrending sounds. This video was taken by a neighbor of Mohsen Shekari family after they received his execution news. He wasn't a nobody, he was someone's loved one. He was executed the morning after there were huge demonstrations in Tehran and other cities. He had told his friends "they're not actually going to execute me. Who would execute someone for scratching another person's skin! [The death sentence] is just to scare people"
There are more people on the death row. Some has already received their sentence some are in danger of getting sentenced to death.
Mohammad Boroughani is one of the many protesters whose gotten a death sentence. His crime? Chasing a policeman! Accusation? Waging war against God! He along with Saman Seidi and Mohsen Shekari were warned to be in danger of execution two days ago. Now one is executed.
Ali Moazzami, another prisoner on death row is in imminent danger of getting executed.
Sahand NourMohammadzadeh, a body building champion, has also gotten a death sentence. Crime? Putting a garbage container on fire! Accusation? Waging war against God!
Mohsen karami, iranian Karate champion, is on the death row. Crime? Murder he didn't commit (forced confession). Accusation? Corruption on earth!
Three Iranian rappers, Toomaj Salehi, Saman Yasin, and Behrad Alikorani are also in danger of getting executed. Crime? Opposing the regime in rap! Accusation? The usual. Waging war against God. Corruption on earth.
Hamid Ghareh Hasanlou, Iranian doctor and radiology specialist, is currently in the hospital with severe injuries he's gotten from being tortured in prison. He was taken there from prison with at least three broken ribs. There are pictures of him in the hospital I didn't post here because of the triggering quality of them. He was sentenced to death and received his verdict in the hospital bed. His wife, Farzaneh, a lab technician, is also sentenced to death. They were both arrested while in demonstration.
Hossein Mohammadi another convicted protester, was arrested the same day as the above medic couple. He's a theater actor and he has received his death sentence.

I don't know how we can stop the executions. There are demonstrations and calls happening in iran. We're trying to share their name to spread awareness. But would that stop the regime? They have no moral code, no face to save. What would literal murderers care about west condemning them? They're killing my people and west still hasn't closed their embassies. They're still considering negotiations with the regime. Europe says the door to conversation is open. USA says we might loosen the sanctions! What do you have to tell to a child-killing murderous regime? Why are they helping the islamic republic?
Imagine waking up and receiving a list of your people on a death row. And then your friend tells you "we're all in the line, God knows when our name is going to be a tag!" I felt that.

When I was watching Succession because of Sarah Snook and her incredible acting 😭

No (and honestly, I'm not really sure that I ever want to have any 🤔)

Yeah way more than I should probably. Just ask my mam, she'll tell you all about it 😂
5. what sports do you play/have you played?
I've played football, tennis, golf, mini golf, basketball, rounders, tag rugby and badminton. The only one I still play sometimes is badminton though.
6. what's the first thing you notice about other people?
I'd have to say their eyes. They're not called "the window to the soul for nothing". I'm just always interested in eye colour and we spend so long looking at each other that eyes always jump out at me first.

Brown! 😁
8. scary movies or happy endings?
Definitely happy endings. With the exception of a few horrors that aren't too gory, I'm too much of a coward to even watch scary movies.
9. any special talents?
This is more of a useless talent but I have a thing where I'll remember most actors names after I read them in the credits of something. Pretty pointless talent tho hahaha

iF i could reboot legends i wld def have zari as reluctant captain, astra and spooner as her foils who always want to go against the plan, behrad, gary and gideon as the other crew, with an ava and sara and baby episode to close out their story. i think zari could find her place as the captain and the team learns to work with a new captain. behrad and gary become full time bros. gideon's storyline is around exploring her new existence. i think it could be fuuun

AND I DO TOO! I MISS BEHRAD SO BAD! You have actually activated my trap card which is "organic reason to talk about behrad in constantine" which is branching off of this post i made about zari
so the thing about me is, i love behrad and i think he and zari should've fought more. i think we were denied crucial aspects of their characters because they made up so quickly and indefinitely. i think two characters who love each other and sacrifice for each other but also have a really hard time getting along is infinitely more interesting and dynamic than them just kind of hanging out.
so as i've discussed, the tarazis, minor characters in nbc's constantine season 3 he's allowed to be bi in this one, are there to represent the dark marvel fam, to help john against felix faust, he's alive again part 6/?, and to, sometimes, be antagonists. i think that's sexy of them! i won't apologize! it doesn't mean they're the bad guys, antagonizing john constantine is always morally correct
behrad is someone in this universe who appears as more honest and genuine than zari, and maybe sometimes he is! but john also immediately misreads this vibe based on his own patent-pending Constantine Bias and is like oh well obviously zari keeps him under her thumb and he doesn't really want to be involved in this he's just like me in a lot of ways, actually, if i were cool. and handsome. and likable. and tall
but then, twist, behrad is just as cunning as john himself or as zari is! he's fully capable of making his own decisions! once again john was like "this person needs saving" and the person is like, that is my purse, i do not know you!
now that being said, i think behrad is the "nicer" one. i've described minor character in constantine zari tarazi to people as someone who loves humanity but is tired of being around people and who understands the explotative nature of humanity and is very resentful of it. behrad loves humanity without the caveat, and he also, i think, does actually really worry for zari because like sure. teth-adam loves her.
but he is also, fundamentally, not behrad's family. and he doesn't appreciate teth-adam assuming he is, or that he's part of a larger picture. his powers are his. his magic is his. and no one, not john, not teth-adam, not zari, can tell him what's right or wrong. he's behrad, first and foremost. then he's zari's brother. then he's behrad again, but this time with a cool all-black outfit
he doesn't have zari's knack for bargaining for rare items but he does give off extreme "my big sister is zari tarazi i can decide who lives and who dies" vibes sometimes. and we stan
