Hi,,, so i forgot to add a few parts and details in my IKami (my little personal name for this au) submission so i'm adding them here,,

ik has a set of translucent wings, so her final form is something like this. (replace madoka with ik and you're good)

Ik's hair is a lot longer than her original hair, to the point that it reaches the floor, so ik has it float around in the air. But in her disguise form, her hair reaches just a bit above her knees. so still pretty long. (asmo loves it)

ik is still mostly herself, but because of her wish and being alone in a higher plane of existence, shes forgotten a few key points of herself (which is a good opportunity for angst and fluff

Ik's dad somewhat remembers IK. Not fully of course, but he finds himself preparing two cups of coffee each morning before remembering that he's the only one at home, to the point that it feels like someone was missing from this household, someone other than himself.

(also it would be so angsty that while ik was rewriting the universe, she made her dad's lifestyle more comfortable for him so he wasn't poor, GOD THE ANGSTTTTT)

Ik's aura gives off like holy bells, gentle melodies, rewritten universes, hope and joys, just very holy and divine,,,,,

Also I may or may not have made an entire google docs worth of ten pages concerning IKami and Solomon meeting. In like two days. I will share it soon,, just adding the final touches and proofreading!

ooo ik with long hair... once she gets to start living in the real material world again, she has to get asmo to help her with it since she doesn't know how to deal with it now that it's being affected by gravity (plus she still had short hair prior to ascending)

as for what she's lost of herself... i think she tried super hard to be ik, if you know what i mean, when she first ascended, but she lost track of time so fast that she forgot what that actually means. she remembers all the logistics of what happened, she has all her memories intact, but they feel alienated from who she is now

one day mammon casually asks what her favourite colour is and she automatically replies yellow, but she doesn't know why. she knows what 'ik' likes, but can't understand the reasons behind it, so now that she's back in the physical world, it's an excellent opportunity to rediscover who 'ik' really is

part 1

Featuring: Monster trio (Luffy, Sanji, Zoro)

Warning: fluffy fluff, ended up being the monster trio being subtly jealous lol Ik I was going to make it suggestive but I like it better that way, might change it for the others

Note : After 200 weeks, 1500 minutes and 25 years, I’m finally posting this serie after thousands of drafts 👩🏻‍💻 y’all don’t know how many times I wrote and erased stuff 😭

Luffy

The crew just landed on a new island, it was a huge forest, not a person in sight. You weren’t particularly a big fan of walking around in an unknown deserted place, especially in the New World where you never knew on what or who you could fall.

On the other side, Luffy was absolutely fearless and enjoyed the thrill of exploring the unknown and seeing unusual creatures; Sailing was all about that for him. An adventure wasn’t an adventure if he didn’t feel that rush of adrenaline faced to a strange situation. He had insisted you come with the exploring team while you pleaded to stay behind with Robin and Usopp.

But here you were walking glued to Sanji as your boyfriend lead the way somewhere in this lost territory filled with trees and the noises of wild animals. He was screaming in excitement when he came across weird insects or odd looking vegetables. You sighed heavily as the anxiety was still heavily present in your system.

The cook adjusted his pace to match yours sensing your uneasiness about the situation. He knew you only came for Luffy, so he made sure to help you feel more comfortable in his own way.

Luffy ran forward as he noticed a beautiful blue flower tinted with yellow strokes that looked like gentle waves. He took it and searched for you with his eyes.

-This would look so pretty on your hair!

He exclaimed as he walked over to you and Sanji while waving the flower in his tan hand. You smiled as you thought it was adorable, but Luffy’s eyes quickly glared at your arms wrapped around Sanjis. He didn’t say anything and simply fixed the flower behind your ear, complimenting you with loving eyes and his cute grin.

-You look perfect!

He announced as he put his arm around your neck, naturally removing you from Sanji. A giggle left your lips as you melt into his familiar warmth. His eyes looked down at you with so much love and care, he wouldn’t want nothing to happen to you. Sanji laughed as he noticed Luffy successful attempt to get you away from him.

Your boyfriend closed the distance between his face and yours. With slightly furrowed eyebrows and serious eyes, he wondered if you were fine.

-Yeah, I just feel uneasy about walking here if I’m being truly honest. I’m not a fearless warrior like you, let’s say~

You explained calmly as you stared back into his big brown eyes. His expression softened up and he moved his arm to be able to grab your hand instead.

-Alright, then stay close to me only. I’m the strongest, so I will protect you no matter what! I promise!

-You’re sweet, thank you Luffy.

He gave a squeeze to your hand as you two followed the group through the millions of trees. Luffy smiled to himself, knowing you were relying on him to protect you now~

Zoro

It was all going well, a great night where Zoro was simply enjoying his time drinking with the others. It was all going great until he noticed a man that kept staring at you. You didn’t notice as you were busy goofing around with Usopp, enjoying a fun conversation.

Zoro felt this feeling of frustration grow in him the more he glared at the person shamelessly eyeing you like he clearly couldn’t see you were taken. That’s when it snapped for him: maybe they couldn’t tell? And that angered him even more. How can this person stare at you like a candy while he was sitting just next to you.

The swordsman pulled you closer to him, making sure his arm around your waist is noticeable. He smirked relieved when he saw the man look away with an annoyed huff. He took a sip from his beer as his smile got bigger. Zoro took that opportunity to slip a quick peck on your jawline.

You stared at him weirdly, wondering what have gotten into him.

-Wassup with you?

-I cant kiss you or what?

-Yeah, but you don’t usually do that.

-You always complain

He whined as he rolled his eye, but still he was glad that no one was hungrily looking your way anymore. You were his and he would make the possible to make it known. Even if it needed him to be outside of his comfort zone, he was going to make sure you were safe from lingering unwanted eyes (maybe to also make himself feel better)

You gave him a funny look, confused about his unusual bright expression. You pecked his lips not giving too much thoughts about it, before going back to your conversation with Usopp. You leant your body on your boyfriends that surprisingly responded to it by holding your waist tighter and rubbing his thumb against your tummy.

-You’re really acting strange, but I ain’t complaining

You said under your breath so only he could hear. He chuckled as he drank some more. You looked over your shoulder with a smile.

-Great, because you’re not leaving my side tonight.

Sanji

Hand in hand, you two walked through the village in the middle of all the varieties of shops surrounding y’all. You wanted to buy a necklace so you were hopeful to find something of your taste and Sanji was more than willing to help you.

He had already made his grocery shopping with you yesterday and organized everything late in the evening, so it was his rest day. He wanted to enjoy the sunny weather with his awesome lover on this pretty day.

It all started when the seller was proposing you multiple options at the table and he invited you to come in the store for something more refined for a beautiful person like you. Sanji didn't care, because of course you are beautiful, so it was only natural that other people would notice. He nodded excited to see what other options the man had that could fit you even better.

Sanji cocked an eyebrow when the seller pushed your hair behind your shoulders and got close to your face as he commented about you smelling good. You laughed as you thanked him, mentioning how your boyfriend bought the scent for you as you pointed at the cook. He put a gorgeous silver piece around your neck and handed you a mirror.

-What do we think?

He asked with a content expression, you stared at the mirror with a floating smile as you nodded, approving the jewelry.

-It's so gorgeous! Oh! What about this one?

You asked as your eyes flew to a more elegant necklace. You walked away from Sanji quickly as you engaged in a great conversation with the seller about the jewelries and some specific information, that your lover was honestly unfamiliar with. Sanji felt like you kind of forgot about him and started to wander around the store on his own as he kept an eye on you, still.

"...should I get into jewelries.."

It was those type of thoughts that occupied his mind as he sulked in his corner. Though, Sanji is a gentleman and he loved more than anything to see you happy and passionate, so he put his jealousy aside to let you enjoy your moment. So, he put his ego aside and started to think about which one would look hotter on you-

-Chérie, have you find something you liked?

He asked you as he wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you into him. You hummed as you looked at the other man and you both nodded, agreeing on something the cook had no clue about.

-I'm going to take this one, what do you think babe?

Sanji kissed your cheeks and whispered in your ears with a smirk.

-They all look beautiful to me, because you are stunning. I don't think I will be of a great help, my love.

You smiled to yourself, because Sanji likes whatever you wear or not. On his end, he just wanted to leave already and pamper you with kisses & hickeys all over your neck to celebrate your new necklace and maybe to let people know you were his..

Bi-Han: -I'm sorry, but he would be pretty cold. -He was raised in a way that even if you were dying, you should take care of yourself without the help of anybody, so at max, he'll send your way a doctor. -Bi-Han has to work A LOT on being a normal human. He really doesn't know how to work around normal feelings that are outside his field of work. -And the future grandmaster lessons he has been given as a kid never focused on helping his partner out. It is already much that he decided who to be with. -Bi-Han probably knows very little about how menstruation works, mostly because they taught him not to care about other people and just think about how to be the perfect Lin Kuei's leader. -First work on making him act as a decent human, then Bi-Han will even make you a special tea to make your cramps less painful. -And if you look particularly pitiful he may snuck junk food too…

Syzoth: -The first time he saw you losing blood, he panicked because "Why are you losing blood?!?!" -After you explain how things work, Syzoth will let out a breath of relief. -Surprisingly, he understands pretty well that losing blood is a pain, so he doesn't mind following your order like a butler. -Syzoth is gonna snuggle under the covers with you, btw. -Not used to you being mean tho, even if he understands you aren't fine, he still takes those words personally.

Shang Tsung: -Actually, he'd make a potion to make your cramps fade. -But he doesn't do anything for nothing…are you ready to try his next experiments? Maybe the potion isn't as safe as he says. -Shang Tsung satisfies your cravings, but don't nag too much, or he'll get annoyed. -Also, don't be mean, or he will snap back, then you'll start to cry, and actually Shang Tsung has a weakness: your tears. Then he'll have to try to make you stop, but sadly, another mean word slips…it's an endless cycle that makes him think just "Hope this will end soon."

You had witnessed this gruesome attack but still held deep love for your father. This made you stronger and a mighty warrior. In the village many people knew this, including Jake Sully.

Your mother came from the same background as Jake Sully. Making you very close to his children. Your mother had come with Jake and Norm and ended up falling in love with a Navi. This man turned against you and your own mother after being bribed by Miles Quaritch to have everything he has ever wanted. But he had to kill his mate. And you, but you survived which he did not know of. Thinking he erased his entire past he moved on and helped Miles with his plan to kill Jake Sully.

Since you had no one anymore Jake gladly stood up to care for you and convinced his mate Neytiri, who also was happy to be there for you because of how close the two were.

“You fucking dumbass!” You shouted. No shouted is not good enough to describe how loud you were being. “What you thought that was ok to do? Lo’ak you are a stupid moron who does not take orders!” You flick his head making him jump back out from being surprised in pain.

“I- look I’m sorry I jus-“ he starts to get out but you flick his head again. “Listen to me. You don’t get to say sorry or say anything!” You start to go off on him but then his brother jumps in “Look Y/n this is my fault it’s ok let’s just go back ok?” Neteyam says in a tempting voice making you want to listen. “You too! You say no you don’t egg him on you idiot. I mean god I know he doesn’t listen but jesus drag him by his ear!” Lo’aks ears go down as he can’t even look you in the eyes, but Neteyam can. And he is. Making you almost stop. But you can’t.

“I’m older than the both of you! I get to yell at the both of you for being idiots. 1, Lo’ak are you kidding me? You get to have a role in the battle but you always need more! Fucking more? 2, your father, YOUR CLAN LEADER gave you a role to follow but what do you do instead? You don’t listen! I don’t care if he’s your father and you don’t care if you get in trouble by him but I do! I’m in charge of your asses out there and if either of you get hurt I get shit for months.” Neteyam starts to smirk while looking at the both of you. He’s thinking Lo’ak deserves this big ass lecture.

“AND YOU! Don’t even start to smirk. Say no! No Lo’ak! I will not let you mess up everything and HARM so many other people because you are selfish!” You yell pushing your finger into his beautifully chiseled chest. He stands there listening respectfully like the gentleman he is. “Guys I’m sorry but what were you thinking?! You could have hurt yourself Lo’ak! You could have killed your brother too! And I know I’m this moment it may not seem like it but I love you both so deeply and don’t want to see you get hurt.”

They both smile at you and you roll your eyes and walk off pissed. But god so heavily in love with Neteyam.

“I don’t understand what you see in that women Neteyam.” Lo’ak says while looking at his brother watch you walk away.

“She’s one hell of a women and it does stuff to me” Lo’ak frowns.

“Get a room freak.” Neteyam frowns at this comment but can’t help just rethink everything thay just happened and smile the slightest bit.

Hours later you are in your tent just laying on your cot. You start to feel sorry and want to go apologize realizing you were way to harsh. Especially on Neteyam. It’s not like he can control his crazy brother.

Before you even know it your legs are taking you to your crushes tent. You begin to walk slowly but your heart begins to beat faster so you pick up your pace just to get this over with.

“Nete are you here?” You know hoping he’s not. “Yes come in!” He shouts back. Oh shit.

Walk in and smile and he smiles back. He looks into your gorgeous eyes but you quickly look away to much of a coward to look at him.

“What’s up? You’re not one to apologize you are way to stubborn.” You giggle knowing this is very true. “I know but I can’t help but not say sorry. I was being very selfish back there. I know Lo’ak never listens you couldn’t do anything about him.” You start to fiddle with your fingers but he stops you and makes you look him in the eyes. “Look love it’s ok I thought it was funny you going off on him. He totally deserved that and now he’s scared of you.” you laugh again.

“I am sorry Nete it was so rude of me.” He takes your hand in his “Love stop apologizing.” Your cheeks betray you and start to blush hard for the second time at the nickname.

“Nete, I-“ suddenly a scream is heard and next thing you know your running towards the mysterious noise.

I must confess something, I do not understand white Vox lol is it just his VA? He may be just a TV with a body but his eyes seem to be drawn as east asian and thats his most prominent human feature. Majority of the time I see people draw him as a human they actually erase his real eye shape to (I assume) make him look more white. There's no real canon so people can hc whatever but I am so intrigued by how people are interpreting him white. I promise there are nasty tech/media ceos that overwork their employees all over the world... maybe im reading too much into it because the show is otherwise verrrry western-centric. Just curious how you view it, you're definitely in the majority and i realize people like me are the outliers but just saw your post and had to ask (if you didnt mind sharing).

Anon ur hella polite and ik u got good intentions so I was stressing a little over how to respond without invalidating ur headcanon cuz like, I never want to be the guy saying “this character is white and u can’t headcanon them as a racial minority” cuz that’s pretty shitty no matter what. We definitely have different takes but when I’m explaining my interpretation I don’t wanna sound like I’m trying to boss ppl around and say there’s only one way u can see these characters. This is just my personal interpretation and I was being funny in my og post implying that my interpretation is the “correct” way. But since u asked I’ll explain my reasoning why I (and prob other ppl) see Vox as extremely white lol.

I don’t take Vox’s physical appearance into account at all when thinking about his ethnicity cuz in a show were everyone is pretty racially ambiguous design wise Vox is one of the most ambiguously humanoid characters, like my guy literally has a tv for a head with eyes and a mouth, and that’s it. I don’t see ur point about his eyes at all tbh, to me Vox’s vaguely slanted eyes have always come off more like a devious squint than an ethnic feature. Even still I don’t read slanted eyes as Asian automatically so it never occurred to me.

I don’t read as Vox as white bcus of his VA being white or him being a tech bro billionaire (but ig they play a part). I read Vox as white mostly bcus I see his background as a former religious extremist/cult leader from the 50s with a skill in life and in death for male manipulating ppl and using them for his own gain as very white and western. (I got this info from his official reference sheet for auditioning va’s, here that is)

His capitalistic ideals and business practices r meant to mirror (extremely white) billionaires like Musk and Bezos, which adds to my perception of him. Of course being a billionaire tech guy is not a western white man exclusive thing, but I feel that if we were meant to perceive Vox as someone not from America that would definitely be coded or in some way communicated. And I say this with as little ill will as possible, but for me I wouldn’t want to perceive Vox as an East Asian tech bro billionaire specifically bcus there r negative stereotypes and connotations attached there. East Asian men have a history of being negatively stereotyped as corrupt tech business owners. I don’t think u are trying to imply those stereotypes with ur head canon (frankly it’s hard to avoid negative stereotypes in fiction a lot of the time bcus stereotypes encompass such a vast range of things that its hard to take them all into account). But regardless, it’s smth we should try to be conscious of.

Anyways, I also usually take these character’s personalities and values, self image, etc into account when im thinking about race, bcus race is more then color, and especially for characters with lives and personalities based in much less tolerant time periods, it’s significant to consider how race would play a role in forming the way they navigate the world. Based on how Vox behaves I can’t see him as being racially marginalized. I’m gonna compare Vox to alastor a little cuz alastor is canonically creole and I think he serves as a good reference for someone I perceive as not white in comparison to Vox and how I think he differs and contradicts the experiences of a racial minority.

Vox to me comes off as someone who thinks he is entitled to power, respect, privilege, etc, which is a very standard type of attitude for a white man who was alive in the 1950s to have. He’s very emotionally immature and volatile, doesn’t seem to concern much over his public image beyond petty dick measuring contests with alastor (he regularly publicly has angry tantrums and doesn’t break a sweat over how this will affect his status). He obviously cares about it (scolding Valentino for embarrassing him and such) but he doesn’t seem to worry about loss of reputation in any sort of real way. I get the impression that Vox has always had at least a standard amount of social standing and privilege and can’t see a life for himself without the fundamental privilege he feels owed there to support him. He’s basically a man baby, a man baby who still manages to garner power and respect effortlessly (it comes naturally to him) while remaining whiny and insecure. Very white man of him! White man behavior!

in comparison, Alastor, (who I do not read as white) is always frantically clinging to his composed self image and his power as if it will slip away from him if he loosens his grasp at all. He has an extremely firm grip on his composure to the point where he never allows anyone to see him slip at all, let alone frown (despite his mental health and emotional well being being equally fragile as Vox’s). Alastor understands deeply how little the world owes him and how difficult and unreliable his acquiring of status actually is. He is borderline neurotic about retaining his power and staying on top. Despite the smile, Alastor is always defensive and fearful, picking fights with anyone he thinks might be a threat like a small dog or a prey animal would. Meanwhile, Vox conducts himself like a man with nothing to loose. I feel like Vox grew up with money and doesn’t know poverty or a lack of privilege in any intimate way that would drive him to guard it in anyway beyond flippant. tldr in conclusion Vox’s brand of bad feels very specific to a white man, alongside his emotional immaturity and his attitude, mindset, and behavior. This is why I see him as white asf, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong or it’s in anyway less correct to headcanon him as a different race. That’s just how I see him. Ever since you could remember, you were a pawn to the Court of Owls. Well, you’d be more accurately described as a knight. You weren’t like their other soldiers, you were trained to be more. You weren’t an Owl, and maybe that’s what truly set you apart from them.

You were the Falcon. Perfect, pretty, and prized. Flaunted as the most efficient weapon there may be. You weren’t meant to be hidden within the Court, for everyone gawked at you at meetings and parties as you observed behind your unique mask.

A trained spy and killer, an assassin who answers to their masters without question. And if you were to have one, you shouldn’t expect a good answer. But you were good at what you did, it was all you ever knew. You were taken care of. But it was all you’ve ever known…

Now you sat across from the Batman, who gave you the answers you sought out in exchange for his life, although he was certainly a formidable opponent, you started having your own doubts of your capabilities when you faced off with him, before a draw was called for this.

“You…you shouldn’t be associating with them. The Court isn’t looking out for your best interests.” The Batman explained to you like you were a child, knowing full-well that you were much too mature for a tone like that.

“They are all I know. I may not know much, but I know when someone is speaking to me like I’m stupid.” You countered, growing increasingly agitated, but there was a fizzle of sorrow in the back of your throat. “I have always done as I’m told, it’s why they hold me to such a high standard.”

“Then why are you talking it out with your target?” Batman questioned. He could see your eyes from behind the mask just shimmer a bit as tears fought to spill, but you still had some control over said emotions. “You have lived in a cage your entire life, depending on monsters to keep you fed as long as you do their bidding, no matter how gruesome or immoral.”

“I don’t have morals, that’s what made me their top agent.” You snapped back, aching to just cave and agree with him, but it’d go against everything you’ve ever been taught. You looked through this narrow lens all of your short life, right and wrong being dictated by people hiding behind owl masks, feeling superior to all of Gotham, instilling their will no matter who it affects and how.

“You are a child. Not a Falcon. You have been robbed of a lifetime of education and experience that should have given you morals, taught you about the world.” Batman himself started to feel personally about the subject. “No child should have to see death, to look it in the eye.”

“I can’t erase what happened to me. I can’t start a normal life. This is what I’m good at and I’ll do it until I die.” You pushed against him in such a way that he knew you were doing it on purpose. The two of you stared at each other behind the obscure masks you donned. No words were spoken, no breaths were drawn, you just stared. Two dangerous, dark figures that found a story behind each others eyes. And then you sighed, removing your beaked mask and setting it before you, then pulling down your hood. “What do I do?”

“You have options. They’ll still be that of an abnormal childhood, but they’ll save you a lifetime of pain.” He said, leaving you desperate for more answers.

“Just tell me!” You banged your fist on the wooden table, not causing so much as a flinch from this protector.

“You’re going to have to defect.” He plainly stated.

“What? That’s your plan? That’s obvious!” You became more frustrated, letting the tears fall. “I need more, Batman! I am tired of being given easy answers to shut me up!” Batman stood up, rising above you and walking closer, which to you felt deeply threatening. But he placed a hand upon your shoulder and quieted you as you tensed.

“You leave them, you come with me.” That was the plan, his offer to you. “I know what it’s like, and if you come with me you can still do what you’re good at—to an extent.”

“And where is the line?” You grumbled.

“No killing.” You were told.

“That’s it?”

“No one needs to die. That’s not up to us.” Batman’s words happened to make perfect sense to you now. “You’ll be taken care of if you can follow along, but it’ll take some time. For now, I need you to wrap up any loose ends you might have.”

“I have to go back to the Court.” You told him.

“I understand, but don’t do anything you’d regret later. The no-killing rule is in effect as of now.” That warning changed your plan for the better. You would make sure they never forget what they’ve done to you.

I’m finally done with school so I can participate in Dannymay for the first time :)

Day 17: Temper (ik I’m late but shhhhhh)

Jazz had three options, none of which she liked. She could leave, consider this conversation over, and pummel the punching bag at the gym until she passed out or the employees kicked her out again. She could stay and talk until she came to peaceful resolution with Principal Ishiyama, maybe talk her into a corner to admit that requiring Danny and her to pass a ectoplasm screening before being allowed back in school was a mistake. Principal Ishiyama liked her, it wouldn’t be hard to manipulate her rapport for the benefit of her baby brother. It would take a while, but Jazz could do it.

Or.

Jazz could smile, agree, and then burn the building to the ground on her way out. She had a lipstick blaster in her purse. The classrooms had plenty of flammable material. Books, paper, wooden desks, posters. It wouldn’t take much more than a few seconds of a focused blast and whoosh, a fire. Tucker would erase the camera footage before the police got access to it, if the tapes survived the blaze that is. Jazz wouldn’t even need to call in a favor for it, he’d probably laugh and say he owed her for getting him out of ap world history.

As Ishiyama explained the PTA’s petition to document all student’s ectoplasm exposure to her in slow syllables, Jazz noted that Ishiyama’s desk looked really breakable. One solid kick and Jazz would snap it half. The paper weights might hurt her ankle if they collided, but the desk was made of plastic made to look like wood. She could throw the thing over her head if she wanted, right out the window. Maybe that would be more satisfying, to be forced to use both her hands and hearing the crash. It would at least avoid breaking a heel.

Maybe Jazz should play this smart. Ask for the signatures on that petition. Write down their addresses. Take her time the next time a ghost attack wanders down their street. Shoot their mailboxes and say she has terrible aim. Steal their dogs and raise them as her own. Maybe that one’s a step too far.

Instead, Jazz bites the inside of her cheek. Option two was worth a try. “And why isn’t every student required to take a physical examination?”

Ishiyama sighed. “Not every student has been so thoroughly exposed to ectoplasm as those that have passed through your house. It’s a safety issue, one that I’m sure you understand, Jazz.”

“I don’t understand. Explain it to me again.”

“It’s a simple screening. It’s noninvasive, just a swab and a stroll through the ectoplasm detectors your parents invented. You’ll be fine. Your brother will be fine. What is it you don’t understand?”

Jazz pushed her toes into the soles of her shoes hard enough for it to be uncomfortable but unnoticeable. “An ectoplasm screening is not standard school policy. We live in the most haunted city in the country, don’t you think every student has some ectoplasm exposure?”

“If they do, it’s not enough to become a problem.” Ishiyama pulled out a file and flipped through its pages. “Thirty-six broken beakers, forty-two detentions, nine unexcused absences, and a letter of concern from one of your brother’s teachers. His grades aren’t pretty and he’s said to fall asleep in class more often than not.” Ishiyama took breaks from her reading out the files to make hard eye contact. “You have five unexcused absences, a significant jump from someone who had perfect attendance for three years straight, and three of your teachers have reached out to me about your jumpiness and sudden lack of participation.”

“Your point? These are behavioral issues, not physiological ones.”

“My point is that the petition mentioned the two of you by name, and your files give me good reason to listen.”

Taking a deep breath, Jazz let the silence hang for a moment. She put on her best I’m-thinking-very-hard face, an exaggerated pout with scrunched eyebrows. She bounced her leg, a false tell. She didn’t mention that it was wrong, manipulative even to have this conversation without her brother or parents in the room. She didn’t ask what would be done with their information if they submitted to the screening, or what they were expected to do if they didn’t pass, or which staff members signed. She didn’t take Ishiyama’s school district issued pen and blind her with it. Jazz didn’t do a lot of things that she could have, or maybe should have.

She half listened to Ishiyama’s justifications, comparing the screening to vaccinations and flu shots. She stayed quiet, nodding when expected and making unflinching eye contact. Ishiyama had one tell, to her credit. She hesitated over the flowery language of the petition, like she wanted to say “ghost” instead of “ectoplasmic entities and substances.” Jazz daydreamed about keying Ishiyama’s bright blue volkswagen in her assigned parking spot, carving a cartoonish ghost into the paint.

Jazz left the meeting with her shoulders back and her chin tilted downward. She was making a plan. She had many more options than what she first thought.

Its during season 2 when Din and Boba ask for Bo Katans help to rescue Grogu. She spends most of the scene being quite racist towards Boba Fett specifically targeting him because he is a clone.

Saying he's a disgrace to his armour, that he shouldnt be considered a Mandalorian, and calls his father "his donor" and says shes heard his voice thousands of times and thats why shes being hateful about his existence.

Its very uncomfortable to watch because shes white, being racist to a character played by a Maori man. But his helmet is on during he scene to make it look less racist.

Maybe its because im indigenous too, but the racism in that scene stood out a lot and it upsets me the show refuses to acknowledge it. (Id recommend a scene rewatch its really jarring to see compared to how they portray her this season)

thank you for telling me, that scene went right past me. bo-katan’s racism is so… yikes. i know there’s general racism towards clones by a lot of people but the fact that bo-katan outwardly expressed it right to BOBA FETT’S FACE.

honestly tcw bo-katan seemed much more likeable just because her hatred and rage made her an interesting character. no hate to katee but live action bo-katan is so dulled down and her getting a THIRD CHANCE at the darksaber is getting so fucking boring like. just bc she’s a woman doesn’t erase her blatant racism and terrorism. ik it’s fun to joke about “god forbid women do anything” but like real talk here, bo-katan (in the live action at least) is getting more and more unlikeable. i don’t want to see any more of her. i’ve seen a lot of people saying that they hope she dies and frankly it’d do her better if she did. make her go out doing something honorable in parallel to her horrible past.

handing the show to bo-katan is such an awful take. i try to avoid controversy in the fandom but giving the “princess” role to a white woman who’s very much racist and has also expressed her hatred towards followers of the creed (calling din’s covert a cult when miss maam was literally part of the death watch) is so UGHH. like i love women but get this clown out of here. i tried liking her, i did. i actually really liked her in the clone wars and her characterization there was so interesting but putting her into the live action and doing her dirty just feels so wrong.

i’m sorry that scene was so jarring for you. i’m indigenous as well so i understand how you must feel about it. i’ll probably rewatch it soon just to remember what happened.

taking away the spotlight from a man of color just to give it to a racist white woman who’s lost the ONE thing giving her importance twice and then giving it back to her for a third time is just. like respectfully, i don’t think ANYONE wanted to see that. and people who are like “it’s good that din gets to be a side character! bo-katan deserves to be the princess she is!” are literally lying to themselves. favroni is systematically giving us bad content so our standards are lowered and we celebrate the smallest things even if they’re terrible. bo-katan being a princess is a boring idea and taking away din’s development into WHY he doesn’t want the saber is just bad storytelling.

i have so much more to talk about but i just KNOW people are gonna get mad 💀 sorry to hate on your fav but she is a racist white woman who plays no importance unless she has an object that she’s lost 2 times before.

Soooo I'm watching Ugly Betty. I'm on S4 rn. [Don't continue reading if you haven't watched Ugly Betty or you'll spoil yourself] At first it was really hard to watch because Hilda, Betty's sister, seemed so off to me, like their relationship don't really add up to me. But maybe I'm biased by my own experience (my own sister hates me because I'm not they way she wants me to be) and I can't understand how Hilda loves Betty sm and isn't embarrassed of being related her when they're so different. Hilda cares about her appearance while Betty is a fashion disaster. Anyway, once I got over that (and maybe I'm really projecting onto the characters) I started enjoying it.

I love that they took the original Betty and put her in a whole new context (NY and a fashion magazine instead of Bogotá and a clothing company) with new people (there's no really Daniel Valencia, Marcela Valencia or Nicolas Mora. You can see some of them through other characters or are erased altogether). Daniel Meade (this version's Armando Mendoza just as in that he's a manwhore and B's boss) is has a really different storyline than his Colombian version and as far as I got, didn't fall for our girl just yet. But learns to appreciate her earlier than Armando and kinda like him way more. He's still got daddy issues and all, but also is kinda way less toxic that Armando (ik that that's the whole point of ysblf and loses part of its charm)

I also really love Alexis Meade's character, Daniel's sister. I just wish they'd handled her exit differently, without turning her into an almost baby-murderer and exiled. She deserved more love. Her introduction was also beyond bizarre, I mean Daniel hitting on his deceased brother who was now a gorgeous trans woman? Idk. That was a little bit too out there.

Anyway, you wouldn't really connect Ugly Betty with Yo soy Betty la fea weren't ir for the main character's name and the title, they could've been two completely separate shows.

LOVED seeing raffi work. focused and a with a clear directive like that’s queenie. the only light in a season that’s really not in service of anything but ‘hey remember when’ (aka lowest form of conversation word to tony soprano!)

if i was a tng fan who’d waited all this time to see my faves reunite and was being fed this badly lit slop id riot. low effort stupid stakes and characters who are lacking facsimiles of themselves on a dull version on an ‘adventure’ that was done better decades ago? the pits.

like i know this ain’t the ‘greatest season of star trek picard’ the press and era stuck fans have been praising??? lmfao everything is so stupid

seven and raffi’s scene was even more diabolical the second time around because what do you actually mean this is the best you can do star trek picard don’t piss me off

three and a half conversations solely between women (the fact that saffis breakup convo counts helppp) that weren’t about men i think so. that’s the future :)

sevens whole voy family moment was bittersweet like it’s nice that they finally remembered that part of her life existed but also it left a bad taste in my mouth. maybe id feel differently if i thought it was actually going somewhere idk. with the brushing off of the lsc and the way things are playing all these references only come off as heavy handed reminders from the writers that the past is everything and looking forward is useless because why try to build and go on when everything you used to know is actually all there ever is (unless you’re giving up vital aspects of yourself to blend into and serve the institution in which case change is not only accepted but encouraged*) ik they did less than the bare minimum to cement la sirena as a group but they were still important to each other and the constant reiteration of the way things were is so bleak. *situation is a lot more nuanced than that blah blah im in my feelings lol

should definitely be used to it by now ik but it still blows me that they erased damn near everything. like just fuck the la sirenas huh. those two years was just lallygagging with randos ig

the endless disdain for the past seasons as if this season is anything to be proud of is ?

so much about how this show is written and presented (will someone turn on lights goddamn!!) is absolutely unbelievable. things just happen like there aren’t actual paid professionals in charge of making it good. nuts.

honestly im not well versed in theory really cause ive been too busy stuffing my brain with ecology stuff for the past few years so i dont have a strong opinion on anarchists. I used to claim to be one and was like the kind to hate tankies or whatever but i grew out of that. I dont really know where I sit rn. But ik a lot of anarchists are really cringe and annoying online cause a lot of the time they dont know anything practical other than "state=bad therefore no state=good" and end up sandbagging a lot of attempts at organization and discussion because of it.

And like anarchist communes are neat in the rare occurrences where they arent cults and id live on one given like, a lot of standards are met (ie not being a cult) but I think, generally, they only work on a small scale and as exceptions to society as a whole. Im kind of talking out my ass here maybe but i feel like at some point people will try to organize and certain people will take leadership roles (given willingly or otherwise), especially if the community is larger than say, a few dozen people or whatever.

and like the production of modern goods (thinking of like pharmaceuticals and tech and stuff primarily) i cant really imagine that being a viable thing under an anarchist society, especially if theres nothing to regulate consistency. Of course there are like anti-civs who are kinda weird but im not really sure what to feel about them other than im not sure i trust that.

Like in part i hold this fantastical wish that i was born a caveperson just hunting and gathering and all that then id die at like 27 years old cause of some infection, but realistically its not something people should be striving towards, we are too far past that point, unless society is annihilated or whatever. Technology has done a immeasurable good for quality of life of so many countless people, and if used properly, can increase the quality of life of everyone with debatably minimal downsides, which sounds like a better deal than erasing it all and returning to the stone age.

I guess like, i can only really see anarchism potentially working while a majority of the world isnt anarchist. not necessarily capitalist hell obviously but something outside of the commune to produce the goods (even just metals) they use with actual regulations besides honor system. but like i said, Im not well versed in theory. These are my general beliefs currently, but im not gonna die on this hill if someone much more well-read has any contradictions

constantly being in therapy mode is exhausting lolol. today was hard again despite how good of a day i had before i got home so its a little devastating but even after i got off therapy all the therapy talk was taking up a lot of my headspace after. nd after such.a horrible episode where i was severely dysregulated again its just like ahhh. and after it i therapized myself so much being introspective trying to work through why i acted this and that way what i was feeling and maybe im processing it a little better or able to give myself more grace but im also not trying to make excuses but its just sooo hard. ik identifying is the first step but it is like so hard when the process of healing and changing behaviors ingrained in u from trauma and mental illness that manifests out of ur control is so slow and takes so much time to change how u react and how to self regulate and handle difficult intense emotions etc like i think im processing it better or jn less despair bc im bejng more rational and using so much therapy talk to even understand my partners pov and relsase my own feelings of hurt but its so much and i have therapy again in 8 hrs and it felt rewarding to go today nd take so much in and feel like a lot of the content resonated and being proud of myself for identifying these difficult emotions and behaviors and the why but i am so ready for a big change and it sucks that i cant just erase all the pain and the maladaptive behaviors and the unhealthy trauma responses and flip a switch and become a stable person like okay it really takes time and work and im willing to do it it is just do hard when im on day 2 and i want results now lol

phil was the captain of the ipre .! he becomes the director of the bob . he is Maybe tommy n wilbur's bio father - three quarters elf n one quarter human , he is . is a magic man , wizard stuff and cleric . also is good at fighter shit too ! he's the one who erases their memories , like lucretia , w the same motivations n intentions as well :) ! (he asks ran for his journal , and bc he's the captain n ranboo trusts him , ranboo gives him the journal and ,, yea)

Kagami focused episodes are actually so good and every single one of them expands her beyond badass sword girl that I'm shocked people still view her that way. I fear that it's because maybe some yt people feel like they just can't relate to an Asian girl (who has more pronounced Asian features and has her heritage superficially more emphasised by the narrative). Like I really hope that isn't the case and I don't want to assume but as an Asian girl myself, the west has always viewed us like some sort of invading Other. A perpetual foreigner that will never belong (no matter how hard we try to assimilate) and thus can never be properly identified with. Sorry for oversharing but idkkk I guess I'm sensitive about this stuff. Also ironically this makes kagami fit the senti thing even more bc that's also like feeling othered and stuff, with her desire for perfection sounding similar to how lots of east asians are fed the model minority myth (if you work hard enough without complaining, eventually you'll overcome racism and belong! no it doesn't work like that) and also how if Asians slip up (eg their English is not "perfect") people will start viewing us as foreigners again who don't belong (so we have to be perfect). So even though I know this isn't intentional and will never be explored, I actually identified a lot with her and it makes me sad that no one even thinks of her enough to come up with stuff like this. And also, ofc it would be great rep if she was a lesbian and it's a valid hc but she canonically isn't and I feel like people who only care about her if she is implies that... they don't care about women of color in and of themselves? like woc by themselves aren't interesting enough for you to pay attention to unless you add something else to them. Plus, everyone weirdly erases adrigami as if that wasn't a vital part of her character because they just can't stand that adrien was interested in someone other than marinette, and I kind of feel like that's why they hc her as a lesbian so that they can take adrigami out of the picture. Sorry ik this ask is weird but I'm just frustrated at how no one cares about her and just misinterprets her all the time

no bc this is super important and you bring up a lot of good points !! admittedly, part of kagami's character does revolve around her relationships with the main leads but what i noticed is that canon always focused on her feelings and her side of the story whereas in the fandom she's an accessory to them.

i also had the impression that (most) people boil her down to the lesbian headcanon as a way to invalidate adrigami and/or feligami and it's so dismissive of her actual character, it shows how they only care about her when she fits certain criterias or holds up well to the one-dimensional standard they set for her as the blunt perfectionist ice queen, the very thing she's trying to avoid being seen as. people can only appreciate her when she's being all buddy-buddy with marinette and they're doing a poor job at hiding it bc this season had 3 episodes that were about her in one way or another and all three times the fans managed to make it about adrien and marinette, with perfection probably being the worst offender out of all of them.

i don't think anyone who has neglected her arc up until this point should be allowed to have a say on what's in or out of character for her, bc i doubt they can even tell the difference between that and choices they personally don't align with. kagami is one of the most well written and multifaceted characters in the show, and she deserved a fandom that recognized all the ways she stood out from the rest of the supporting cast as opposed to one that only cares about her in relation to other characters
