Dead But Not Forgotten (Part 1/3)

It has been a while but I have finally responded to another prompt. One from @rabbitofdeath-atcastleaarrggh. This is a continuation from the batman au. Part 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 . This au is getting quite long.

You can read my previous prompts or send me some new ones.

Nancy was gone. Robin wasn’t sure how it could have happened. She wasn’t sure what had gone wrong. Something must have. She hadn’t been there, that’s all she knew. She hadn’t been there, and Hopper hadn’t been able to protect her from the arrow that raced through the sky.

But Nancy was trained. She should have survived. And Robin shouldn’t be sitting on her bed wondering what she could have done to prevent this from happening. She shouldn’t be dressed in all black. They were superheroes for God’s sake. They weren’t supposed to die.

But none of that mattered. Because Nancy was dead. And nothing would change that. Robin fell down on the bed. She shouldn’t be moping. She should be sucking it up. She should attend the funeral of the only woman she had ever loved. If she didn’t drag herself out of this room soon, Steve would force her.

So, she got up. She dusted off her blazer and she walked out of the room. Steve was waiting downstairs. He gave her a sad smile but refrained from saying anything.

The cemetery was crowded with all the people Nancy used to know. Her mother, her siblings. Hopper was hiding away at the back of the crowd. But Robin could feel her blood boiling as she noticed Ted Wheeler stand next to the open grave. She was ready to push him in the hole.

“Why didn’t you tell me he was out?” Robin whispered, leaning towards Steve.

“You had a lot to deal with already.”

Robin rolled her eyes. “You know I needed to know that,” she mumbled. “How dare he show up here. As if he was ever a decent father for her.”

“Just keep it together for a little while and then we’ll go home.”

She shouldn’t be doing this. Somewhere in the back of her mind she knew she shouldn’t be doing this. But Cluemaster needed to be defeated and no one else was going to do that. So, Robin had to do it. She was all suited up, ready to attack. And she would.

She pushed open the window, sneaking into the building she knew he was hiding in. He would have to pay for what he did. He would have to pay for his crimes.

Before she could reach him, four of his goons ran up to her. She was surrounded. Maybe she knew this had been a suicide mission from the get-go. Maybe she had wanted it to be. Because she didn’t want to live without Nancy.

Robin started her attack. She knocked out a man here and there. But one of the goons had jumped on her back and Robin knew it was over.

She fell on the floor, face first, deciding to protect her head. Maybe it would only increase her suffering. Maybe that was exactly what she deserved.

The pressure on her back vanished. Slowly Robin crawled back up to her feet. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a female figure in a purple costume. She turned towards the figure. Her heart skipped a beat as she recognized the costume. And then her blood started boiling as the figure started running away.

Here’s some more Business Co Inc OCs, coming right up! @cuppykin

Meet Swatch! His daughter is not other than Pencil herself. He really loves and supports her very so. Even he lets her live with him still, for now until she moves out by herself, with a founded roommate, or future beloved.

He’s an interior designer and a very kind hearted man. He’s a single divorced father even since Pencil was 8 years old. He used to have a son as well but decided to go with his mom. To this day, he’s very caring and very loving for Pencil. He’s grateful to still have his sweet lil daughter in his life.

Yeah, he’s not really not aware about the adulthood shenanigans his daughter gets into nowadays. Not even the most hot secrets she has. So, recommended that nobody should try to say anything about it… he’ll hopefully be ready to understand what ‘situations’ she’s in.

Oh yeah, fun facts! Her father is 7’3, he loves all kinds of interior theming but mostly favorites Hollywood Regency, he loves Halloween like her daughter, he keeps a ‘pocket’ knife at hand and he loves spending qualiyty time with his friends or daughter! ^w^
