A show or movie will portray a basic interpersonal conflict between two characters (like jealously or anger or miscommunication or disagreement) and people’s reaction is to immediately label the relationship toxic, problematic, and abusive. Like have y’all ever actually had a conversation with another living human being or??

the thing about the queer media tournament that really gets me is that last i checked there wasn't a single mxtx work on it. like not even the untamed made it in and don't get me wrong the og mo dao zu shi books are huge but cql is def more popular among tumblr circles. idk it just really rubs me the wrong way how every single piece of western media that ppl have ever gotten a lil bit aggressive abt shipping with is there and then for east asian media there's utena and madoka magica and the handmaiden and last i checked that was pretty much it. and then for the rest of the world there's next to/nothing but idk enough to really make judgements there.

Thinking about what the Grid/MRU storyline would look like to the viewers, since obviously very few people in-universe are aware of the existence of digital life. 'Cause like, in order for the Grid to operate the way they do they have to be an actual indie animation studio with their own Youtube channel like Glitch Productions, and their tech company branch in the Mushroom Kingdom has obviously been showing up in episodes, most notably Astra's introduction and major role in the Racing Arc, and some hints to them possibly being the organization that took Tari that one time. (Also I haven't actually said this in a post yet but I've been imagining that the Grid's channel has been up for a while doing their own unrelated animation content so as to be less suspicious).
So people already think the two studios are working on something together, possibly some kind of ARG, because what other logical explanation is there for the SMG4 series to be casting this random up-and-coming animation channel as some kind of greater scope villain? And well, Luke can't just come out and say he has no idea how they got into his show, because then he'd have to explain how that's even possible, which is a bad idea since it would involve revealing:
Computer programs can and often do become fully sapient living beings
The only people who know this decided to record them for entertainment purposes instead of telling anyone
The actual real life multiverse is real
We only know this because an alternate version of the show's creator's self-insert main character nearly destroyed all of reality
Time travel is also real but only digital beings can do it
Digital beings are able to enter the real world (though it's extremely hard to do intentionally and there's a very short list of people who know how). It's unclear if IRL people can enter the digital world.
Several of the digital beings known to exist are bizarre parody clones of actual real life people
The vast majority are copyrighted characters and the companies that own them probably won't be too keen on getting them legally recognized as people
It would be chaos if not handled carefully. So GP decides to just let things play out for now, and both sides end up semi-unintentionally playing into the Massive Secret Collab assumption.
And then, of course, the video showing Tears of the Kingdom's activation goes up.

An official, canon side series, made by another animation studio on their own separate channel? That's insane! Nobody could've seen that coming! It manages to blow the AvA Sticks being plot relevant to the Goomba Arc completely out of the water, and that was pretty massive itself!
And, just like during the buildup, the Glitch team can't say anything to the contrary without revealing Everything before it's safe to do so, and the Grid knows it.

What if they didn't put ads every 3 posts. Three posts between ads, literally. Not even counting the ad for Tumblr Live.
Also what if tumblr didn't know what city Im in. I do not want my location tracked or stored anywhere unless I give explicit ongoing permission, like with my GPS app that I allow to track me only when the app is open, and then it deletes the data (allegedly) when I stop giving permission.

I've been going thru a major creative block recently and I'm really depressed over it
#there's so much stuff I want to do but can't#I'm trying to finish some valentines adopts that I want to sell but Im struggling to finish the linearts as well as find good colors#for the characters#I've also gotta publish the next chapter of my book which is late AGAIN#but every time I open the word document to write I cannot put down anything interesting or coherent#I tried to switch to preparing some draft one shots for ockiss week but even with that I'm facing the same issues#I talked to my therapist about my creativity block and she said I just need to carve out time for myself#like. alone time where I can be creative in a way where it also doesn't feel like a chore to make things#but I don't have the ability to make that time#between work and my datemate almost constantly being around I have no way to get that#and even during the times I do get to be alone all I want to do is scroll thru tumblr and reddit or watch videos#I can't even imagine amvs to music anymore for fuck's sake!#I'm literally always fucking tired and mentally drained#I can't do the things I once loved anymore because it feels too overwhelming to put in the energy#I've tried ti meditate too to see if that would help but my brain is constantly thinking#so that doesn't help at all#and I have nobody to talk to or interest in any media to help get the creative juices flowing again#AND on top of that everyone in my life just seems set to make sure I'm as miserable as possible 24/7#ok maybe that last part is just the depressing talking but it does still feel that way#I feel so lost man. sometimes i wonder if i'm the right amount of critical, or if i'm just really hard to please.
#⇢₊˚⊹ 🩷∥ruby∥yo，ide yo !!#i find myself less and less willing to tolerate dumb shit in the media i consume#to the point where it's almost hard to enjoy anything#i like idol anime#but idol anime tend to be chock-full of unbelievably dumb decisions#and drama for the sake of drama that gets resolved literally within five minutes of it starting (that really happened once i shit you not)#even in en stars i sometimes find myself going “yeah okay no literally why” at things the characters do#(the game mostly，not the show. although i have a couple complaints about the show too)#there are definitely other genres of anime that generally have higher quality writing#only problem is when i try them out，90% of the time i genuinely couldn't give less of a fuck about ANY of the characters#even though the show's generally free from the dumb bullshit in idol anime and the like#for the life of me，i have no idea why non-idol anime have such a hard time endearing their characters to me#that's a problem#because if there isn't at least one character i give a shit about，all i can think about is dropping the show no matter how good the plot is#i don't necessarily have to like them，even. just being interested in their development as the show progresses is enough#it's honestly a little alarming how rarely i get even that very low level of interested in a character#it's a problem i have no idea how to deal with though#so i guess unless my standards get lower over time，i'm just cursed to not enjoy the majority of media that i attempt to consume
