This is more balanced, I think?
This was a nightmare putting together, I had to redo Carlos entirely (now with pants!), I still need to redo his torso with reference because I did it from memory and I need to find his nipples.
I also had to cut TKs leggies off to move them and I think they're too small now? His upper arm needs to be reworked again too, I hate that arm and its mitten hand, hiss.
I need to stop for now though, my brain is melting from thinking. Why did I decide to include foreshortening. 🙃

There's something to be said about being so stressed about a pain management appointment that you get a stress migraine on the way home, but my head hurts to much to connect that particular thread.

I can no longer hurt myself mentally by going onto Twitter and looking at dumb, bad shit.
*however*
I can go hunt down the cybersmith's (human pet guy) blog and want the sweet release of death within seconds of opening it.
Thank u hellsite

have you ever forgotten that a planet exists, for years?
i had forgotten for years that there was a planet named neptune.
until yesterday, where i saw it mentioned and saw a new picture of it where it has rings.
and i was like "wait..... a planet named neptune??? is that real??? how did i forget about this".
i wonder when i forgot.
when is the threshold when my brain went from "contains neptune knowledge" to "does not contain neptune knowledge"?

also since I'm up (haven't slept) with a giant fucking headache let's talk about Hornet's childhood ok
I don't think Hornet was a wanted child. He was an accident. Shortly after he was born, his parents had to flee Cyprus due to the Turkish Invasion.
Then once they got into the US they got shoved into a shitty shack in the middle of the deserts of Nevada.
Meanwhile their (unwanted) kid just keeps getting weirder and weirder. Hornet was born female, but he was never interested in female activities. Any attempts to grow his hair out ended in him cutting it awkwardly with scissors or letting it get so matted it had to be shaved.
His father was disappointed that he was born female and he could sense that, but even when he wanted to do 'boy things' with his dad he was just pushed aside.
So, rejected by his dad and estranged to his mom (who was intent on shaping him into a proper little girl), he took to rummaging through local junkyards and fucking around in abandoned buildings.
He would routinely bring home nasty, rusted out shit from the junkyard and all manner of skulls, dessicated lizards, and so on.
One time he even brought home a box full of scorpions. No one ever figured out how he found so many scorpions or how he managed to catch them all without getting stung once. He also pitched a fit when he was forced to put them back outside.
He almost died a few times when exploring abandoned buildings.
Then, to make things even wilder, he began to spend more time with animals than people. Even more so, that he began to take on physical characteristics of the animals he played with. Rumor began to spread that Hornet was an abused, feral child, so his parents began to force him to stay inside more, in hopes of 'taming' him.
This obviously backfired, and he started acting out, biting, scratching, hiding under things, refusing to bathe, destroying what little furniture they had.
One night, his mother saw his eyes glow-like a cat's in the dark, but blood red.
It wasn't long after that that he was let back outside, where he found the neighborhood kids tormenting one of his favorite kittens. Despite his efforts to get them to stop, they wouldn't.
He saw red. And before he knew what was happening the kids had turned on each other, violently beating each other as he watched in horror. This would end in several of them being beaten to death by the hands of their friends, who had no recollection of what happened.
It wasn't long after this that Hornet was surrendered to the military as a test subject.
He had brought his parents nothing but shame and indignation. They wouldn't even look at him as he was taken away, and they would not mention him again afterward.
