I’ve kinda been having second thoughts about watching the movie because so far season 5 has let me down as a ladynoir shipper sooooo I’m not asking for spoilers per say but which side of the love square do you think the movie highlights best?

something something ladynoir fic abt like that idea thats been spreading of ladynoir just like fixating on the little bits of info they have abt eachothers identities. maybe adrien goes on his own lil scavenger hunt to maybe piece together his lady’s identity. not that he would abuse it or tell anyone else absolutely not he just wants to send her his cheesy love letters and little things that remind him of her. like its just them piecing together eachother out of the tiny things that theyve revealed and yk marinette absolutely makes like a whole guy with a whole backstory and obsesses over making a perfect picture and adriens just like maybe she can knit me a scarf with a pawprint on it <3 love her

the fear of being repetitive with art is something i hope im in the process of getting over. because if i still jump out of my seat for my favourite artists and writers because they are posting a concept that i've already seen before but not in their style then why shouldn't i do the same for myself???

it’s crazy to me that in the miraculous ladybug fandom there are four main ship groups and they all get in arguments with each other abt which is better but the catch is that their ships are literally all the same people.

My favourite thing about @wackus-bonkus-maximus' odnlb Marinette is that she was introduced as her typical soft spoken ditzy persona that would probably have a panic attack if an automatic toilet flushed too suddenly but she’s also the most capable murderer in the entire story.

Similtaneously, Adrien if-I-can't-be-free-than-I-will-die-trying Agreste, is this soft cinnamon roll who thinks being inches closer to death is the biggest 'fuck you' to the universe. Boy knows he needs therapy, but not as much as the sad girl crying drunkingly into his £2,780 Givenchy sweater.

Then we have our work efficient Kagami who, in typical fashion, is the one doing the hot pursuing by eye-fucking her long time co-worker at meetings and making him her "problem".

Paralleling Felix, whose introduction makes him seem like a cold, selfish, political juggernaut but who would spontaneously combust if the right girl made eye contact with him over a game of chess.

Anyway, they’re dating.

The only thing left for me to be excited about in ML is Marinette/Ladybug starting to simp for Chat Noir, and I can't tell you how much I can't wait to see it.

Here me out: Adrienette is the worst and yes it matters. Why? Marinette was a stalker for him and lied to him constantly like idk it’s the toxic part of their relationship. I love Ladynoir but it’s also kinda in that area where chat was constantly harassing her even when she rejected him and told him to stop.

Therefore Marichat for the win.

this whole romantic adrinette-platonic ladynoir-thing-in-s5 discourse makes me really wondering about how both stans would have reacted if the situation was reversed, like if romantic ladynoir-platonic adrinette happens.

would some adrinette stans complained about pre-reveal romantic ladynoir? would some ladynoir stans being boastful and superior about how right they are about their ship? would some adrinette stans rooting for the ship to break up? would some ladynoir stans make an entire essay defending about how ladynoir pre-reveal canon is not bad or didn't harm other LS sides? Would both stans still has the "the love square is dead except *LS side that's in the romantic relationship pre-reveal*" mindset?

I probably will never have the answer but I do wonder about this. a lot.

i think what i adore about ladynoir beyond high school age (18 and over) is the opportunity it leaves for some of the most DELICIOUS best friends to lovers scenarios. because, like, two people who've been fighting side by side for years? who've known each other long enough to make jokes about it, haha remember when we were fourteen and you-- we AGREED to never speak of it!!!! who've spent so long learning each other inside out, even, in chat noir's case, getting over feelings, that the idea of anything romantic between them is so far off the radar that they don't feel the need for certain boundaries, because why would it matter if they made jokes about how attractive they find each other, about getting married, about how they could totally mess with the rest of the miracle team by pretending they're hooking up because it's so far out of the realm of possibility.

but then there would be that imperceptible shift. the moment where one of them makes a joke and it feels just a bit more loaded than it should. gazes lingering where they never lingered and playful smiles turning curious. the sudden awareness that, while maybe they were cuddling on a rooftop with their best friend, they were also wrapped up in the arms of someone they trust with their lives, and is extremely attractive, and, wait, if the only reason it was platonic before was because there were no feelings, what does THIS mean?

THE TENSION. THE PINING. THE INHERENT MESS OF BEING IN YOUR TWENTIES. PLEASEEEE
