Thinking abt the fact that Elliott is an unreliable narrator and will just outright lie about things about himself, or twist them so severely that they threaten to break in order to be palatable and not say anything he thinks people won't want to hear. Man who spent a lot of years lying about his family, and upbringing, and sexuality, all because none of it was something someone else would want to hear and he doesn't want to be seen as broken, or a bummer, or to speak ill of the dead. It's better to mangle the truth until it fits whatever narrative you want to spin than it is to say something that's going to horrify someone

Always been a little bit confused by the whole ‘our ocs are often inadvertent reflections of our personal traumas haha’ like i mean yeah in a ‘horoscopes are so generic they can apply to anyone’ kind of way
Idk my characters have their own stories
‘Oh so none of your characters are at all personal reflections?’ No, it’s often clear they’re written by a singular person with core values that show up in them too in some ways, but there’s not really any of that ‘oh i struggled with an abusive family growing up and oops all my characters have abusive childhoods’ kind of stuff that I see people talking about a lot
Like I’ve got a couple of characters that are expressions of personal struggles but they’re few in number, I know who they are, and I know this because I designed them that way intentionally, everyone else is doing their own thing man idk
Seeing that topic go around always feels kinda like what being ace feels like in that I can see that there’s something I’m just not getting but everyone says it and I can kind of see how that could happen so I smile and laugh along despite that not really ‘getting the joke’
#like let’s see the untouched are LITERALLY intended to be metaphors for neurodivergency#and auru is an rp character who has mental health struggles as one of his defining characteristics#and has endeared himself to quite a few people because of it actually lol#he’s the mental health issues projection boy and turns out a lot of people i’ve played with relate 🤣#but everyone else just kinda. has their own stuff going on. idk.#so basically i have one projection character and then a group of characters#that are INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED to be metaphors for neurodivergency#haha eldritch horrors being baffled by our world and not getting things that seem obvious to us#and so being called monsters because its OBVIOUS so they MUST know what theyre doing#which means they MUST be doing it INTENTIONALLY so they MUST be TRYING to hurt people#meanwhile the untouched have absolutely no idea what’s going on because no. no it’s not obvious. not to them.#they’re beings that exist outside of time they dont have an intrinsic understanding of what things are ‘right and wrong’ by us#and when they say theyre confused and don’t understand everyone just gets angrier at them and insists theyre lying and they MUST be#doing it on purpose - and are just trying to be manipulative#and the untouched just keep crying that they don’t understand what theyve done wrong or how to not do it again#and no one will answer them#theyre just deemed monsters#because well#its OBVIOUS - isnt it?#so saying theyre confused must be a lie#and they MUST be doing it on purpose to hurt us#even as they cry and cry that they don’t understand why we’re so angry with them and don’t know what they’ve done wrong#but again they were made that way intentionally lol#everyone else is like ‘oh beni was a feral child who lost his parents when he was young’#my parents are alive and well and raised me quite caringly thank you lol

Am i the A-hole for trying to protect a women focused space?
I'm the mod from the super one sided retelling of the "Refusing to change OC's sexuality to bi/pan" situation. Shin (the person who wrote that post) know i don't use tumblr so of course he bring the drama here so that people would judge "Laura" and me without knowing the full truth. Thankfully, a dear friend of mine who followed this blog told me about this and was kind enough to allowed me to send this ask using her account.
First of all, it's pretty clear that Shin is lying about his identity. Shin said he is a trans man but he admitted that he don't want to transition beside wanting flat chest. Shin also said that he is south east asian but his display name and his OC's name are all japanese, which is a huge sign of white weeb fetishizing japanese culture. The fact that his english and understanding of slangs is way too good to be south east asian.
Secondly, Shin joining this server knowing that 90% of the members are yumejoshi, he should be grateful of the fact that we even allowed those yaoi characters invading what basically a space for women. I know we advertised the RP as a non-shipping focus death game story but you should have read the room and know what type of people this space is catering to and not bring your gay character in if you didn't want him to be shipped with women.
Thirdly, if Shin was uncomfortable then he should have made it clear from the start instead of letting "Laura"s character flirting with his, like having him respond rudely or out right rejecting her or something. Shin said he is having undiagnosed autism in his bio then he should have understand how it feel when people don't state what they mean clearly. His OC still being nice to "Laura"'s OC even if he didn't like the flirting, of course she would misunderstand that his OC developed romantic feeling for her OC.
Fourthly, Shin said before that he didn't count alternate timeline versions of a character from a visual novel he likes the same as the original timeline version because of their different life experiences then why can't he do the same to his OC? Why can't he just agree to let "Laura" make an alternate version of his character if in his logic they are completely different people? Hypocrite much?
And finally, "Laura" was very upset about this and it took her a while to move on, she could have hurt herself back then because of you. Also, we had to revised our server's rules and banned all the non-yumejoshies, which cut several RPs short.
So who is really the A-hole here?

as a certified crazy triggered by unreality type things, i dont know why the famed #unreality tag has become so diluted it's being used on fucking rp blogs. unreality is not the suspension of disbelief of fiction. unreality is not a person lying. obviously all psychotic/delusional/paranoid/otherwise mentally ill people have different triggers and definitions of the term, but from my experience and other's, unreality is one or more of the below:
(a) content that has existential themes related to reality/things not existing (example: a philosophy such as solipsism, do not look up the term if unreality stuff is triggering for you)
(b) extremely surreal content(example: sometimes content such as weirdcore/dreamcore aesthetics can fall under this umbrella but again this is very subjective)
(c) content that reinforces or encourages common delusions(example: that one "im living in your walls" meme)
there is obviously gray area and I'm not claiming to speak for all people affected by this content but as a whole it seems that tagging so much stuff that is just. engaging with the mode of fiction. as unreality, is just diluting the tag to mean next to nothing and making it useless.
feel free to add (civilly) if you're a person of similar experience about the #unreality tag, I appreciate any input on the subject.
