“Pietà”
Ah yes art of Frenchmen with an italian title and a Latin quote added onto it. I somehow made this in a fit of mania.
Pieta is one of my favorite works of biblical art. It means pity.
The Latin phrase is “acta est fabula, plaudite” which is “The play is over, applaud.”

#SOME BOOKSTORE WINS DESPITE THE LACK OF TEMERAIRE: FOURTH COPY OF KIDNAPPED#it turns out that there is a tiny hidden Pirate Section in the used bookstore and it had Another old copy which of course is mine now#if you show me an older edition of rls with color-plates and an illustrator I don't have yet I will spend. too much money.#the new one is from 1949! and has lovely watercolors!! (altho' the oldest one in this pile is from 1925!!)#and also this illustrator (william sharp) does the proper height difference between alan breck and davie (which is Very important to me)#ALSO on this journey I have acquired a PRINT EDITION of TIGER TIGER and thus gotten a GOOD GRADE IN GAMES&COMICS STORE#which is something that I have been hoping to do for all my life!

When I had to take breaks from studying for my exams before my brain leaked out my ears, I naturally spent the time scouring my computer for a 1790s f!lesbian!Fitzwilliam Darcy #aesthetic.

#0.txt#there were a few botanical prints i rly loved as well but they were colored and way out of my budget#there was also a gorgeous one of the louvre pyramid but it was too big for my purposes#and also a smaller print of the nike statue i rly liked but it felt too basic#i saw the real thing anyways that satisfied me ❤️#i wanted to look around more but my sister was being all impatient for god knows why 😭#i probably would have found another print i wanted there were so many#i avoided the bigger ones bc i thought they sold them flat like in the display#and i have to worry about bringing it back home#but it turns out they do roll them up ughhh i would have looked at the bigger prints more carefully#wahhhhh im so happy though my one goal was to get art here that rly speaks to me and this one does so much#i admire super detailed engraving prints the texture in this one is gorgeous i love love love love love so happyyyyy#it means so much more to me too that it used the original copper plate too
