Currently taking a little breather in the middle of nomming down on tonight's leftover rice delight. I hadn't made any in a while, and we had suitable stuff, so a version of omuraisu it is.
Tonight's take is sort of a weird-but-tasty cheesedog version. I used sliced-up sausages that were open in the fridge plus plenty of veggies in the fried rice, and layered a little sliced cheese in between the rice and egg. Topping with the classic ketchup, plus a squeeze of sriracha and a sprinkle of crispy fried onions.
My omelet ended up pretty mangled, mostly because the pan wasn't quite hot enough when it went in. May not look nearly as nice that way, but it still tastes good. (But, no photos of the half-devoured plateload of whatever this is tonight!)
If you really don't like ketchup (like Mr. C), I've also made pretty good pizza-themed variations and at least one topped with salsa before. Japanese-style curry sauce is another pretty popular option. Easy enough to turn out vegetarian versions, and I probably would have tonight if we hadn't had the open package of varmkorv at the ready. Pretty flexible all around, in terms of what's likely to be tasty in something like this.
Not a bad filling makeshift meal, at all.

I am incapable of hearing someone mention they went to one of the first tonkatsu and omuraisu places in Japan without thinking, "I wonder if Mitsuri went there." I am even less capable of watching a short TV segment about how heating up sweet potatoes is what brings out their flavor without thinking, "RRRREEENNGOKUUUU"
And I did start spinning meta about how "like a sweet potato, you cannot bring out the best in a person until you make them undergo a sort of trial by fire, and this all ties back to the 'purgatory' which the 'rengoku' name refers too. Wasshoi, wasshoi."
The brain rot is real.

What are the boy's favorite foods? Also: do the boys know what they want for christmas yet?
Acchan is a vacuum in child form, it's more what food DOESN'T he like (bell peppers). Meat in any form, typically; eggs also, omuraisu is a popular choice. Ryuu-chan eats a lot more than Akutagawa but does have similar tastes. He probably likes soba with wild vegetables the best.
As for Santa, shh, they haven't realized how close December is yet, they're still plowing through the mountain of Halloween candy that came from somewhere (Chuuya-oji).

Sushi and Stolen Kisses
pairing - Yuki Tsunoda x fem!driver
“So...I have to feed Yuki for a challenge”
“Yes, there’s going to be a few pieces of sushi and he has to guess each one. Look, he did it last year with Pierre” My PR hand me a phone where a video of Pierre feeding Yuki.
“Seems kinda fun, I guess”
I grab my phone and head out my motorhome to go to a similar spot where the challenge was recorded last year. A few people of the media team were waiting for us. I put my hair in a ponytail and wait for everything being set, Yuki was a bit late so we have time.
“Hello guys, hey y/n” Yuki arrived, when he saw the spot a smile show on his face. “Oh, I’m happy now” I laugh, the japanese was a different person with food around him.
“Ok, so y/n you start the video, the dynamic is the same and have fun. Yuki, you’re going to be blindfolded. In 3, 2, 1″
I smiled and look at the camera “Hi guys, y/n here with Yuki, no kid, the camera is right here” I move Yuki to the direction of the camera. “For this video, we’re going to remake the sushi taste taste with our food genious , Yukino. So, Yuki, please, seat here, thank you”
“I’m hungry y/n” I laugh at him “Plase and thank you”
“Food is coming kiddo” I decided to start with a tuna sushi “So, I saw that you prefer to smell first, so smell” I put the sushi near to his nose and then he grab it “You know what it is?” Yuki start talking with his momuth still full “don’t be disgusting, swallow first”
“Sorry, it’s tuna? yeah, tuna, easy one” I smiled to the camera
“Point for Yuki, next one” I show to the camera the dish, these are not yet mature soybeans, still in their pods “I don’t even know what is this” I repeat the process and give Yuki the food
“Mmmm, there’s more of it?” I nod, well, he can’t see that, and give to him another piece of the dish. “Edamame, so nice”
“Good, another point for Yukino. Onto the next one, I think this is the only japanese food that I would eat with any other think, so” I grab a piece of onigiri and extended to him
“Nice, onigiri. I think that I’m too good for this challenge” Everybody laughs and I thought that It would be a great idea to challenge him and maybe give him a hint.
“Not too fast. Ok, I didn’t see this in the last video” Yuki started moving his nose to smell
“Smells like something fried, it is?” He moved his head like he were waiting for my answer
“I’m not gonnna tell you that, Eat!”
“Definitely fried, mmmm, it’s Tonkatsu? seems like it” I almost smile
“No Yuki, it’s...”
“Wait, no, I know”
“No, sorry, you only have one chance, and...”
“That’s not fair, let me say it”
“Why would I do that?” I asked with a side smile
“I want another point?” I laugh and a few of the media team too
“Not convincing, anyway, say it”
“It’s tempura”
“I hate you” Yuki laughs
“You don’t”
“Last but not least, this looks pretty amazing. I don’t know how to describe it, so, take a bite” I take a piece of omuraisu and he took it and suddenly take his time trying to guess the food
“You know, if there’s a bet for this type of challenges, you’re gonna lose all of them”
“Said that again and I’m gonna hide your ps5″ Yuki gesture me a no with his head, he knows that I will definitely do that.
“So, there’s one more thing, this is an easy one, so, If you guess this I have to give you something but if I win, you have to train with me”
“What? You train at 6 AM, give me food, loser” Lucy, my PR give a weird face, there’s no more dishes on the table, so I smiled to the camera
“Time to guess Yukino” Guess what, I kissed Yuki, a pretty shy kiss that last a couple of seconds. “So, what is it?”
“OMG, I KNEW IT” From the other side of the Paddock was Pierre screaming and a very astonishing Charles by his side
“OH, SHUT UP. So...?” Yuki takes out the abndana out of his eyes and look at me
“Did you...?”
“I did” I smile waiting for him to say something else
“I don’t know about you but I know that was a kiss, so for my prize I want to take you out to a really japanese restaurant I went last night”
“That would be great” We smiled at each other and I saw the red light coming from the came “Oh heck, well...what a challenge...Thank you for watching and bye” Yuki said bye with his hand and I start running out of the spot
Yuki screams “See you at 8?”
“Sure kid, bye!” Guess that this video is going to be viral for a very long time
I pass Charles and Pierre who were smiling at me

Outwardly, isn't phased and honestly doesn't care what your profession is as long as you're safe. Inside, he can't help but imagine what you might look like in your work outfit or the things you say and do. It makes him blush a little. Maybe he'll stop in sometime? Maybe.
Majima Goro
This man has two modes and two modes only. He's either super cutesy about the whole thing, sometimes even greeting you with a phrase you might say at work in a cutesy voice, or he's very protective, saying things like "Tell me if a guy creeps on ya at work, okay?".
Saejima Taiga
For the most part, he just thinks it's really cute. Also probably one of the only guys to ask how your job ACTUALLY works. Like do you come up with the cute phrases yourself or is there a script? Things like that.
Akiyama Shun
Most likely of all the boys to actually visit your work just to get the adorable special treatment from you. Knows how your job works and will gift you little accessories to wear to work. He secretly think it's really hot.
Tanimura Masayoshi
Kind of surprised but not bothered by it. It's just not a job he would've really put at the top of his list of guesses as to what you or anyone would do for a living. Likes to stop in on rare occassions to share an adorable dessert with you.
Ryuji Goda
As long as you like the job, he's content. He just wants you to know he could easily financially support you and that you don't have to strain yourself to work if you don't want to. Silently cheering you on. In his heart, you are the number 1 maid at the maid cafe and anyone who tells him different can chew on his fist in their face for all he cares.
Nishikiyama Akira
Secretly a little jealous and he hopes customers don't get the wrong idea or try to get too close to you. He tries to work through it himself as he doesn't want to make you feel bad. Might be a little physically clingier than normal, like walking around with his arm around your waist more often.
Daigo Dojima
Similar mindset as Ryuji. He just wants you to be happy and to know that financially you're both quite secure. He does secretly think the outfits look very adorable on you. He won't ever say it though, he just avoids eye contact with you every time he sees you in a new outfit.
Mine Yoshitaka
Actually probably totally gets off on the idea, more so than Akiyama even. He'll definitely visit you at work at least once just to get a feel for it. Of course, he'd much rather it be just the two of you at home.
Tatsuo Shinada
Also sort of the jealous type like Nishiki, although he might actually say something about it. Not necesarily in a way to make you feel bad or that even needs something to be done, he just wants to get the thoughts off his chest and in the open. Totally supportive though, says things like "Knock 'em dead!" a lot when you leave for work.
Ichiban Kasuga
He turns red as a tomato every time your work comes up. Poor man can't help himself, he just thinks it's so adorable! He'll totally help you practice your cute phrases at home. Ichiban can get very into the spirit of things, but for the most part it's not sexual. He just thinks it's that cute!
Tianyou Zhao
Honestly neutral, even more so than Kiryu to an extent. Wants you to do well and hopes no one tries anything that makes you uncomfortable. Packs you work lunchboxes before each shift you have, sometimes with little cute notes inside.
Joon-Gi Han
Probably has the most of an opinion about which accessories go with which outfit. Lots of times he'll be outside and be like "Ah, those shoes would be good... I should get them" and most of the time he's almost scarily spot on with his taste for your work clothes. Seldom stops by your work but when he does, he usually brings you a gift.
