Spoilers for Nightbringer Lesson 25

If you don't wish to be spoiled, please do not read any further. Thank you! 😊 Things I liked: 1. Showing how Asmo views how being number one in someone's heart works and giving him a character development moment. I really like seeing how he views love, even platonic love, since Asmo's always been the most upfront about his affections.

2. Letting him remember all those moments in the dream.

3. The connection between Lucifer and Asmo and how Lucifer pretty much went out of his way to give Asmo exactly what he wanted. Even if it's Asmo's subconscious Lucifer it really shows how Asmo knows that Lucifer will try to help him achieve his dream at all costs.

4. I personally found Barbatos' reasoning as to why he was upset very funny and a bit insightful. I previously believed that his relationship with Solomon was strictly business. Present Barbatos does state he trusts Solomon but I always thought it meant more in a, he's a good co-worker type of way. Seeing past Barbatos being upset at only being number 8th, to me shows that he cares a lot more about his pact with Solomon then I previously thought.

5. I loved the adorable moments when everybody was worried about Asmo, and when they drew on his face. That was very funny to me, especially when Asmo went out to apologize.

6. Asmo making Lucifer talk like a cat, which is what I picked, was hilarious and a good way to end that lesson.

Things I think could be improved on.

I really wish we got to see angel Asmo and how he met Lucifer. I think that would have added some more context over Asmo's obsession with beauty or how he came around to being part of the brothers.

2. Giving us some context for that forest, even a throwaway line like "this is where he shoves all the thoughts he doesn't like" or something could give us more context for the forest in Asmo's mind.

Personal Note 1. I do worry sometimes that the writers are either uninterested in Asmo's story since he's so underutilized despite being one of the seven. His turn really lacked the same depth that Mammon's self discovery did.

However, I also recognize that it's probably difficult to work with an Avatar of Lust in trying to keep a Teen rating. They've already done a good job of interpreting Asmo while still keeping it fairly PG13 so it's one of those situations I can't be too hard on the writers.

L19 FEELINGS (Satan Spoilers)

MY HUSBAND. MY SWEET SWEET ANGY BOI.

I CALLED THIS 😭😭 Poor Satan is so sweet he would never hold his brothers back from returning to the Celestial Realm even if it meant he'd be all alone. I knew he would encourage them to go without him. 😭😭😭

I LOVE how quickly they shut him down. "Back on your bullshit again? Already?" AND THEN THEY START JUST ROASTING HIM PLS How else do brothers show they love you? Light, loving, bullying

Then Mammon, the one who's secretly a sweetheart, brings the focus back and forces Satan to realize that whether or not he thinks so they've all adopted him as their brother and he's far more loved than he wants to admit.

Then SATAN. SATAN MY LOVE MY PRECIOUS. I NEARLY CRIED. IM SO PROUD OF HIM. He admits to wanting to be part of the family. Which is difficult and awkward for him to do, but he does it. LET ME HUG HIM. LET ME SMOOCH HIM UNTIL HE KNOWS HOW LOVED HE IS.

Aaaaaannnndddd of course he has to ruin it a little bit. This is his response when they're all happily declaring each other family and deciding they're staying in the Devildom. Look at him. He almost has the look of "I'm not worth this" and I just duagsbowhevd Yes you are, darling. Yes you are.

Okay so I may or may not have started playing Nightbringer today since my phone really tries its darndest to make it impossible for me to play Tears of Themis so I accepted defeat and downloaded Nightbringer instead

I have 2 (two) thoughts in my brain so far about the entire ordeal (I have yet to finish the first lesson, don't judge I'm not very far into the game):

First of all, I love the logic of "Oh yes you got yoinked back in time, now you suddenly have completely new apps on your D.D.D. while others are gone without a trace,it has a updated and modern design and while Solomon can for some inexplicable reason still call you from the old timeline, all your other old chats and call history are dead and gone. Have fun :D" I know it's a new app and all but the 'oh it's a prequel that's released later so we have access to improved tech to compared to the original' will always be funny to me

As well as this:

I would pay to see Lucifer's reaction as soon as he realizes that this 'random weird demon' who became their attendant (MC) wears his Ring of Light that he lost during the Celestial War and is now supposed to be part of Michael's memorabilia collection for his Lucifer Simp Shrine. Two Rings of Light in the same timeline might be potential trouble in the future, but I doubt the writers will go that route at any point.

L19 FEELINGS (Mammon Spoilers)

Okay, full disclosure Mammon is not one of my faves. If I had to list them Mammon is probably right at the bottom with Barbatos. Nothing against either, I just like the other characters significantly more.

HOWEVER

When Mammon sends you to try and comfort Luci with pudding he immediately gets shifty and uncomfortable because he's low key jealous and that is adorable.

I kinda felt bad because Lucifer is easily top 2 and that is exactly what I wanted to happen.

This kinda caught me because in the main story he really hasn't shown that much interest in MC??? Some of the brothers have but Luci has been so focused on the other 6 that he just seemed happy to have another babysitter around

OKAY BUT I kinda did here just a tiny bit. It was the "....Please." That did me in. He sounds so desperate for our love that I just kinda wanted to love him anyway. It was so cute and vulnerable, especially for Mammon. He definitely has his moments of being absolutely adorable ngl
