3/4AM — O3-12-2O24 : RANT / RAMBLE ﹐🪶 ˖ overview: im tired of tiktok, want to move to other social media platforms. want to start blogging / journaling on tumblr and love the idea of others doing the same and find it interesting. want to redo my intro post really bad (i bring it up alot.) i want to have the 'average highschool experience', feel alone then ramble about my life a bit. talk about how i am rambling and how i dont expect anyone to read it. im tired of having a fucked up sleep schedule and being unstable. then an ending note talking about journaling on tumblr again, moodboards, the fucking intro post again, and want to work on a tagging system. (im really fucking tired oh my god)

im really debating on just leaving tiktok for now, the algorithm fucking sucks especially right now. its boring as fuck and im not even seeing stuff of my interests or my mutuals ☠️ its all the same 3 god damn audios of content i wouldnt ever like want or expect to see??? ive mentally wanted to stop using shit like tiktok and move to using tumblr more and other sites like spacehey and stuff. i really need to redo spachey too. because while tumblr still has an algorithm ofc its alot less addicting and doesnt absolutely wreck your attention span like tiktok has for me. i feel like not using tiktok other than for occasional posts and sending things to / receiving things from friends would make me a bit more productive as well as being better for me mentally. while it wont magically cure me from any mental illness itll make me feel better and probably help my stress a bit.

i really love the idea of using a tumblr blog to post whatever i want and like use as a digital diary of some kind,, its super fun imo. i had an old acc but it felt like more of a chore to keep up with so now it’s abandoned. speaking of that blog i may make a post being like “hey, im [here] now!!” because i had some neat mutuals there. i think its really neat to see people post about their day and share things they like and reblog everything that catches their eye yk! that may just be a me thing.

i want to redo my intro post a bit, because idk im a bit unhappy with it. (dont be surprised if i edit it mid-writing this or before i post this..) i really love to write but i havent had much motivation at all. i typically love researching my interests and taking notes on them but recently i havent been able to no matter how much i want to, maybe this diary / blogging kind of thing will help me get back on my feet with that :)

i really dont have a ‘yearning’ for anything at the moment, besides having the experience of like everyone else my age. idk how (hahaha) corny that may sound but like for background, im online schooled due to mental and physical disabilities, i dont have many friends online or in person, i rarely see anyone, and i live with my dad and see my mom sometimes and dont really have family outside of that. the family i do have i dont get along with very well or theyre distant (physically or emotionally.) the family i really consider is my dad, because hes always there for me, and my friend micah, but he lives like 9 hours away from me like a LOSER (ily bffie.) im a big believer on chosen family and he is that chosen family. ok i got sidetracked, what im saying is i have no social life really, dont have a place to get a social life (school), and cant really connect with people no matter how i try to. i want to live life like how i see in teen life films or tiktoks of people vlogging with their friends, hell id kill to even have an irl bestfriend to be around. i do have irl friends, and i do have close friends, but i dont see them often or have the personal connection of a mutual best-friend feeling. my dads probably my best friend but i need someone my age lmfao.

this post will be so long that no one will read it i garuntee but also i dont mind?? im not gonna spill my guts like someone wont read this but im not gonna act like i have a large audience. this will just be a nice thing to look back on and keep up unless i anxiously delete it whenever i look back on it (maybe in the morning)

im really tired of waking up at 3-4pm right now, but i cant sleep earlier than 5am no matter what i do. and if i manage to fall asleep at 2am or something i wake up an hour later or wake up at 4-5am panicking for some reason. i havent been to therapy in forever, my therapist is like not doing her job as well as id like and i have no doctor other than my pediatrician who doesn’t understand what im talking about ever!!

Watcher - *slaps religious trauma onto them* bitch gets sacrificed. Okay okay so Watcher, wasnt always Watcher. Before they used to be Ena a simple kid who was sent away for reasons i havent thought of yet to a church. Blah blah corruption, Watcher gets sacrificed for not falling in line blah blah they were saved and given a second chance.

Dimension - *slaps alot of anxiety and identity issues onto her* bitch got issues. Same as Watcher, Dimension wasnt always Dimension. Before she was Ellie a poor girl hated by her whole town because of the lies their mother spread about them and their father who had left years ago. She only had one friend, Watcher. Somehow they managed to make contact with each other despite being in different universes. Eventually Dimension snapped and went on a killing spree, slowly ripping apart her world in the process because this wasnt supposed to happen (think spiderverse canon events but different ill explain later) with her world crumbling around her, Dimension messages Ena one last time, not knowing Ena was already long gone, and accepts what they assume to be death only to fall into whats basically the anti void from utmv, gets corrupted and became a villain technically more of a multiversal criminal.

How does what happened to Dimension's universe work? The way i explained it is like spiderverse canon events but different, but heres the details. Idk how to explain this but bare with me

Imagine each universe as a game in a folder on a computer. Each game has different code, story, art assets basically all are mostly different.

Most games are coded to have very specific story events and when something goes wrong everything breaks. Like take a spaghetti thing of code that shatters the moment you try to do something like trying to talk with an npc while having a status effect and thats how some of these worlds are like. And Dimension's was very much one of those worlds, and her breaking down like that shattered the code of their world and everything fell apart.

Im too tired to continue but my main multiverse is like one big computer own by a game creator who only sometimes knows how to make a stable game

YDYD episode one

below the cut are all events of importance that transpired, preserved so that others may learn from the fallen gods’ mistakes

DAY 1 michael immediately falls out of a tree while everyone is gathering wood and apples and such ryan is the first to craft tools geoff builds a lean-to in the side of a mountain after an argument about what a lean-to even is ryan finds a hole michael nearly gets blown up by a creeper, but is in the water so he doesnt die ryan has a successful run-in with a creeper in the hole trevor begins building a farm in the pond next to the lean-to. jack argues with him about how to build it gavin: "who do you think will die first?" michael: "alfredo." everyone agrees aside from geoff, who says lindays gonna die first. she doesnt disagree. michael isnt sure jeremy builds beds for everyone in the lean-to, with alfredo's help in collecting the wool (he did NOT help much) trevor: "hey. alfredo. hey." alfredo: "yeah?" trevor: "waddaya say we just.... get outta here?" "lets both... start our own lean-to, yknow what im sayin?" "here we go. while theyre not lookin, lets book." michael: "while theyre not looking- i dunno what the FUCK alfredos talkin about." everyone is perfectly aware of this development and dont try to stop them at all the twins find sheep. trevor is very excited about this lindsay: "what the fuck you two twins doin over here? stop touchin each other." geoff accidentally destroys the "sap of life" night comes. jack calls everyone back to the hovel. ryan is impressed with said hovel despite earlier shenanigans, the twins come back to go to bed ryan is still in his hole, alone, not knowing where the hovel is, because hes obsessed with cooking his irons i guess. too many irons in the fire geoff suggests a dead pool. everyone emphatically condones this ryan, ALMOST back: "oh god, i hear them." everyone makes it to bed jack congratulates everyone on surviving the first night. DAY 2 alfredo steals jeremys crafting table ryan nearly falls in a deadly hole in a desert michael, next to two block deep water: "careful, gavin. you could drown" geoff is about to follow ryan into a new hole ryan has a dangerous run-in with a skeleton, taken down to three hearts. he abandons the hole jack changes his vote from alfredo to ryan. lindsay approves of ryans running away tactics everyone basically just beats up animals and collects shit. sex jokes are made jack: "who put a tree on top of the house?" lindsay: "me. hi. dont touch my tree." michael wants "sap of life" gavin wants "tree of hope" lindsay just wants her husbands to stop fighting trevor changes his bed covers from white to black, because hes an edgy high schooler i guess ryan and geoff are lost jeremy finds a village. michael says to kill the inhabitants and take their shit geoff finds trevor alfredo spends some time being hopelessly incompetent jack is also mining and wants coal alfredo is proud of his shovel trevor threatens gavin with a beating because gavin doesnt like his one-on-one thing gavin apologises after being a cheeky fuck about it ryan returns with an iron chestplate. gavin is upset that he did that before making everyone iron swords. ryan says he needed the armor to get more iron trevor tries to goad alfredo into jumping into a river from the top of a cliff. they dont do it lindsay calls in the stragglers alfredo falls in a hole in the dark, takes out half his health. he is very scared and freaks everyone out. he gets back fine the tree of hope is grown apparently alfredo also got shot in the back. jeremy michael and ryan herd him back inside for the night. poor boy gavin is about to be locked out by jack, who notices hes being chased by a zombie. hes putting torches in the area around the hovel. ryan watches and makes sure he gets in ok and they cant sleep because gavin brought the zombie to them everyone gets up to help, jack advises them to stay put. ryan deals with it since hes the most equipped. he takes minimal damage the gang finally sleeps michael: "ok, nobody do any funny business in the middle of the night." "where are my pants?" DAY 3 ryan: "theres creepers everywhere." jeremy: "theres two thatre-" *hissssss* "piSSED AT-" *boom!* "Me.... theyre gone." michael takes 2.5 hearts of damage from a creeper from behind jack takes .5 damage dealing with the creepers. its the first time hes been damaged so far gavin is writing a diary on the wall with signs. "dear diary- im not sure about this new world. i dont think ive made many friends yet. maybe tomorrow someone will be f-" alfredo sees the publicly displayed diary and reads it aloud, to gavins embarrassment after some apologies and laughter, gavin gets to finish in private- "THEY FOUND MY DIARY! SCATTER!" lindsay is alerted to the status of the tree of hope. "get the fUCK OUTTA MY WAy i wanna go see my kid" jeremys a fyeshin boi trevor rennovates the house. it has wood instead of dirt michael complains no one is dead yet. jack feels like he should give them more credit alfredo: "i made a STONE pickaxe!" jack: "ok, point taken michael" trevor plants some flowers outside gavin: "alfredo, why you starin at me? you wanna go down?" alfredo: "no, just wonderin what a creeper was doin in here" thems fightin words. everyone oooohs when aflredo says he feels like he could take him may 25th is the "i quit" fight i guess ryan: "ok, everyone quiet for a second." ....... "...i think i hear water near me and i wanna know where it is." gavin does some dangerous shit near a hole, a creeper blows up. after a life check, a vern comes out and takes out half of his health jack: "oh, gavin, dont be the first to die" trevor finds this hilarious before he tramples his lilacs geoff gets it mining is now the thing to be doing geoff brings a witch out of the danger cave and tries to get alfredo to kill her alfredo accidentally hits trevor when trying to mine its the first night they spend out gavin is excited about cave squid and gets hit by a creeper from behind. jeremy helps take it out a skeleton takes out a good chunk of michaels health. hes not nearly as concerned as he should be lindsay gets killed by a zombie while shes in her inventory. shes not even in a cave. geoff gets the zombie too late DEATHS- 1. FIRST BLOOD- LINDSAY michael volunteers to make her grave stone trevor and geoff are home damage control, basically just keeping alfredo safe trevor makes alfredo a sword alfredo kills his first zombie a skeleton starts to pick the home crew off so they retreat inside michael nearly dies to a skeleton in a cave near lava a skeleton starts to fuck up the home crew. alfredo has one heart when they kill it jack finds an enderman near a skeleton. half health michael is stuck at half health because hes hungry. so is jack alfredo continues to be incompetent geoff nearly gets stuck outside with zombies jeremy and gavin tag team some mobs and its pretty great the sun rises over nine made eight. DAY 4 michael and jack come home to heal up and pull the arrows out of their poor bodies jack says michael can use his iron sword better than he can and gives it to him "live together die alone" trevor gets a jack o lantern to light the way home ryan tries to argue for lindsays value. michael says shed have died anyway. alfredo thinks it was a murder jack and the twins  build a farm geoff makes the hovel bigger at the behest of jack michael gets domestic on alfredos ass jack thinks alfredo will die next. michael says both the twins. ryan thinks it will be him michael builds a perimeter of cactus and accidentally hits trevor hovel is now happy house ryan finds gold geoff puts down red carpet night two out! jeremy and ryan live underground at this point jeremy finds a skeleton with chain mail and a zombie support. hes poisoned and at half a heart. he survives and gavin comes in to help kill the witch. michael joins in and kills her in a couple hits. "patillo sends his regards" alfredo continues experimenting with crafting no jumping on the farm!!! what the fuck is alfredo building the lads find an abandoned mineshaft jack is unhappy with the house. so is alfredo gavin is unhelpful with torches when jeremy gets fucked by a spider jack gets chased by a skeleton trying to gather supplies. two hearts. he makes it back to the house with alfredo keeping the monsters at bay day breaks. DAY 5 (DON'T FALL ASLEEP) ryan finds diamond. he is now marked for death the tree of hope becomes lindsays grave "here lies lindsay. she was a good wife" its the tree of life and death gavin has armor alfredo steals michaels iron. he is fucking pissed the tree is now the tree of wife

7/8/17: buy paramore’s after laughter

lol this is mostly me being emo tbh but support paramore ok

i’ve been itching to buy several things lately and idk if i really want them or it’s my depressive state that wants to feed the void with material possessions. i wanted to get a record player bc im definitely buying paramore’s after laughter on vinyl bc aesthetic and the actual record means a lot to me. since i listened to after laughter, i’ve become hooked on paramore tbh and all i want to do is lay around with hayley’s vocals singing into my ears and maybe cry a little. i only started getting into them during their self-titled phase so i’m not remotely attached to the “old” punk version of them. Fake happy is what really sold me on this album btw. It’s everything i want to say to people i’m no longer really close with. It does make me think about how i never want to see certain friend groups again because i’m just embarrassed about my whole existence and feel ok wit it. the line in fake happy that goes “please don’t ask me how I’ve been, don’t make me play pretend” is something that really gets to me. I have nothing in my life right now, other than family and one or two friends, that i genuinely care about and i feel like im at a dead end tbh. having to tell acquaintances/ old friends abt my sad ass life makes me want to scream and i feel like i hate myself even harder. and i always find myself telling half-truths, pretending like im not a failure. Hard times is another relevant jam that’s on repeat. It was the first song i heard off the album and made me check out the whole ep. even if it didn’t feel relevant to me, i’d still bop to it. the overall idea of the album to have cheery synth vibes with depressing ass lyrics gives me life. anyway, i’m not gonna ramble on about this anymore since no one’s gonna read this and i already know my own feelings abt this. 

but yeah, i also want the told u so t-shirt and cd bundle so im gonna wait for the vinyls to be released bc that pink marble record is calling out to me. and a tattoo, which i have a general vision of but im scared of the $$$. + i’m thinking abt moving to ny sometime next year too even tho im not going to FIT bc nj has nothing for me and i need to start living on my own, which means i need to save up. there’s also the last class that i need to take so that i can at least have an associate’s degree, which will def be a couple hundred. there’s also some skincare stuff i want like the eradikate spot solution and the boscia black luminizing mask (best in terms of peeling).

ive been hating my art style even more lately but i still feel compelled to draw

bought a couple books to read even tho my commitment issues extends to reading as well

book related: i read motor crush vol 1 and i like it. babs is always great with the art and the writing is more exciting imo compared to the batgirl comics. snotgirl returned with issue 6 and the art is always pretty even if the plot is still a lil murky and unsatisfying. the plot of vol 1 was kinda messy and i disliked how it ended bc i dont even know if the arc was resolved or still continuing.i like bryan lee omalley’s writing so the writing isn’t something im not used to, i just feel like there’s so many mysteries building up and nothing that really resolves. there are some threads that were resolved in issue 6 (such as what happened in the bathroom with caroline) but another thread shows up in that resolution that has me going ??? Anyways i’ll still buy anything leslie hung does the art for so lmao my gripes aren’t dealbreakers

i went back to watch oitnb even with how pissed the ending of season 4 left me and i did not hate season 5...that much

i’ve been looking into gym memberships bc i want to start working out and lose weight seriously now. this is hilarious bc my diet is shit rn (see above). but im sick of not fitting into my old clothes and some new cute stuff i bought online (that i thought would fit). also i really want to lose the baby fat on my face bc seeing my potato face in the mirror really kills the confidence i have left

another thing that’s nagging me is the idea that i want to buy some things just bc those things would add into the image of a person i want to appear to be. it sounds weird but i feel like i want this costume of a person who’s cool for having hipster shit like a record player or colorful sunglasses. it doesn’t help that ppl on instagram make me insecure asf and want the things they have.

ive been trying to stop stalking certain ppl on instagram bc its v pathetic and tends to exacerbate my anxiety and spiral into a depressive hole. its not even like celebrities or anything, just ppl i used to know, which is extra creepy and sad.

Week 06: Something Awesome Bandit Game Level 26 - 33

Level 26 -> 27

Okay I just ran the program inside of bandit26

./bandit27-do cat /etc/bandit_pass/bandit27 and grabbed the password 

Nice to have a relaxing game after the previous ones 

Level 27 -> 28 

So I need to clone a git repository 

I tried git clone ssh://bandit27-git:[password for bandit27]@localhost/home/bandit27-git/repo but it said fatal, could not create work tree dir 'repo': permission denied 

I googled the error, people were saying to try sudo chown -R **username** /var/www but that didn’t work either

Eventually I realised ... I couldn’t create new folders/files in /home/bandit27, so I made another /tmp/foldernamehere to work in 

Ran the git clone command git clone ssh://bandit27-git@localhost/home/bandit27-git/repo

Typed in the password and a repo folder appeared 

Got the password!

Level 28 -> 29

I did the same thing as the previous level, cloned a repo

I got a README.md file?

It says:

#bandit notes

some notes for level 29 of bandit

Hmmm... md files

I googled git commands, and just tried a whole bunch of them

Eventually I tried git show, which showed the changes made to the file README.md

and it shows:

Git show shows these changes:

I remembered that git creates a hidden .git folder, so I went in there and opened up everything, nothing here either 

After a couple of hours, I looked up a tutorial and damn, how did I miss it

Git branch has an option to show remote branches 

And there it was zzz, dev branch

So I did git checkout dev

Git show ..., yep there’s the password 

Level 30 -> 31 

Same thing as before, but now there’s an empty file 

After trying like every git command out there

I found that running Git tag gave out the word “secret”

So I googled git tag and one you could do with tag was 

git show [tag name]

So git show secret -> gave me the password!

Push a file to the remote branch

I googled how to push files to master and followed a guide

I did the following:

git checkout -b new

echo ‘May I come in?’ > key.txt

git add -f key.txt 

git commit -a “1st commit”

git push origin new:master 

which gave me the password

Oh no.... im worried

After i logged in, i get "WELCOME TO THE UPPERCASE SHELL" 

Okay I think I understand, anything I type becomes uppercase 

So I started experimenting here 

Any letters or numbers gives the output :not found

# doesn’t give any output 

! gives syntax error, new line unexpected

/ gives permission denied 

“.” doesn’t give any output

apostrophe ( ‘ ) gives unterminated quote string 

~ gives /home/bandit32: permission denied 

backtick ( ` ) gives EOF in backquote substitution

[ gives [: missing ]

Oh wait, is this an sh script?? The level command hints say sh and man

I’m gonna try to write a little sh script and paste the whole thing in 

Oh wait, a=$( $TERM ) gave the output

xterm-256color: not found, so something’s working

OKOK wait

$TERM gives xterm-256color not found

So I started experimenting with any “$” variables I could think of

$HOME gives /home/bandit32 permission denied

$SHELL gives “WELCOME TO THE UPPERCASE SHELL”

If I try like export $SHELL=/bin/bash it just says export not found 

It was at this point that I tried $0, because I remembered $0 from perl programming 

It made the >> turn into $

Echo “test” works now!! 

Maybe I can set the shell?

So I tried :set shell=/bin/bash, but it didn’t work, :set not found

Ok wait, I have access to the command line now, not sure what I can do, try to copy the password out?

I ran whoami and got bandit33, but wait a minute, shouldn’t I be bandit32? 

I tried cat /etc/bandit_pass/bandit33 and it worked!

i got the password and I’m out of here

That’s it!, finished bandit

What did I learn:

Got a refresher on like every git command

Clone, add, commit, log, show, branch, tag, checkout, push, pull 

Because I had to try out every command to see which one would work, I ended up reading up on them all 

I have a bandit.txt diary, 840 lines long containing what I was doing as I was doing it, what I was thinking at the time and what ended up happening. It’s what I’ve been cleaning up/formatting and posting here in the “something awesome” posts. Maybe I should paste it into a paste bin and put the link up as well.
