Okay so i started an Edward Nashton/Riddler x Reader while i was super fixate on the riddler and ive just now rediscovered it and im here to ask if i should continue it? Or like maybe rewrite it. Anyways here's everything that was in the notes:

'IT IS ALWAYS NICE TO SEE YOU'
Y/n was a 25 year old boy working the graveyard shift at his only job, an old diner. They barely got an customers but to be fair who's going to go a diner anytime between 10pm and 7am except maybe the last hour. They were going into work as usual, about an hour early this time because their coworker had an emergency. Y/n didnt mind much though since he didnt have anyhting else to do.
"Hey- be careful with him. He's a regular but he always seems off" Clarice said while taking off her apron and grabbing her jacket.
"He's reading from a crossword book, I think I'll be fine thank you Clarice" You were grabbing your nametag you kept behind the counter to make sure you dont lose it 'Y/n he/they' it said on it in a black font.
"Just stay safe y/n." She finished getting ready to leave as you nodded and watched her walk out the back. The 'strange' man didnt have anything infront of him except for a small journal, a crossword book, and a pen. Naturally since it is your job, you walk up to him
"Hello, what can i get for you if you have not yet already been served?" You stared at the man that sat infront of you as the counter/bar stools, he had light brown hair, clear framed glasses, and a dark green jacket on. You had to be honest with yourself he was pretty attractive, nothing to be too scared to talk to him over though. He looked up from his puzzles
"Oh- uh- hm. Just a coffee and do you guys maybe have any pumpkin pie?" Why did he seem so nervous? He's the one who sat at a counter instead of his own booth, no one else was here so he wouldnt be taking up unnecessary space.
"We do! So just a coffee and pumpkin pie for pumpkin?" Ew what was that?!??! That was so cheesy oh my god
"Uh- ye-yeah. Thank you-" he blushed at the nickname andlooked at your nametag with your pronouns on it, one good part about this diner is all nametags have pronouns on them which the customers generally respect. "Sir." He smiled and quickly looked back down at his book.
You'd nod and quckly turn around and start getting his order, starting the coffee machine and getting his pie while waiting.
"Here you are" you placed a plate with a single piece of pie topped with a bit of whipped cream infront of him. The man just nods and starts eating. It wasnt long before the coffee was done and you put it next to the plate, earning a quiet 'thank you' this time. "Soooo whats your name?" You leaned against the counter, he looked up and stared back at you.
"Do you like riddles?" You stared at him blankly
"I'd like to say im good at them so yeah-?"
"Get this one right and I'll tell you my name, i am something you own but everyone else uses way more than you, what am i?" You took a minute to think.
"Your name? I know ive heard that one but im not sure if thats the right answer i havent done riddles si-" you got cut off.
"My name is Edward, nice to meet you y/n." How did he know my name-? Oh wait my nametag he laughed quietly as if he could hear your thoughts, in reality the expression said them for you. He started to reach into his pockets as if looking for something. "Uh-"
"Are you alright Ed?"
"Y-yeah i just seemed to have forgotten my wallet." He had a worried expression as he looked up at you, he obviously didnt plan this so hey why not be nice? Clarice said he was a regular anyway.
"They're both on the house today, dont worry" You smiled and took his cup and plate.
"I can pay you back later? When are your hours i can probably be here at some point-"
"10 to 7 on friday, every weekday" I kind of just want to see him again i really dont think its so important that he pays me back he only got a coffee and a slice of pie
"See youuu- uhh- tomorrow?"
"Again, im here everyweekday so yes ed" youd smile and wave as he walked out. Well he was- sweet. Clarice was wrong about him being weird, he wasnt completely normal but he didnt seem like anything to be concerned about.
The rest of your shift was normal, boring yeah, but normal. Once it was over your grabbed your jacket and were on your way home. Due to it being 7am there was many people out unless it was cars and places opening, no one wanted to walk anywhere this early and you couldn't blame them because you wouldnt want to either. As soon as you got into your apartment you took off your black sneakers and raced to your bedroom to change. The outfit was quite uncomfortable after a while, at first it was fine but then you break it in and its just blah at that point. Once changed you set your alarms for 5pm so you could have time to do your shopping, and still have some spare time you considered spending on the music shop. You passed it everyday to and from work and had always wanted to go there, you could see records through the clear glass windows and youve always thought about it since. You slowly drifted off thinking about everything you'd do when you woke up.
WE'RE SWITCHING TO Y/N'S POV BC THIS ONE IS JUST UGLY TO ME I STRONGLY DISLIKE WRITING LIKE THIS
As my alarm went off in my ear i quickly shot up, looking around the room before turning off the alarm. I sat there for a minute or two debating on whether or not I should eat before or if i should just wait until my shift at the diner. Folding the corner of my bedding to let myself up I slowly get up and get dressed, dreading having to be awake. Work itself wasn't too bad but I never got much sleep from it being at such odd times, its never really allowed me to have friends since im basically nocturnal at this point. To be fair though I dont really want friends, I have bigger things to worry about than my social life. Plus I talk to people all night at work it kinda makes up for it, yk? Anyways after getting dressed I go to the bathroom to do my eyeliner, boys can wear makeup too and to be quite frank I even have a slight confidence boost when im wearing it therefore if anyone has a problem with it they can suck my non existent dick. I grab my things including my phone off the side of my bed, I dont know why I check the notifications no one has my number except Clarice and Elliot who both only call me when they want a day off or for me to come in early. I barely hear from or see Elliot however he's still my boss and I need to 'respect' that, Clarice says.
Walking out of my apartment I see a familiar figure in the distance, Ed? I walk faster in hopes to pass him without him reckognizing me, yeah he was nice at the diner but I dont know him enough to want to hang out or talk to him outside of work. I quickly walk past him with my head down but turned back to see him without thinking.
"Can i help you??" Oh thank god it wasnt him
"Sorry I thought you were someone else.." I turn back around and quickly leave the appartment building.

Thoughts on the third ep of Hypmic Rhythm Anima (as always, spoilers beware but not only for the anime itself but for future things covered in the Drama CD and the Manga. If you’re an anime only, those are marked with a *)
Right off the bat. Super disappointed that it isn’t a MTC episode. I wanted an MTC episode. :((((
Still got my MTC crumbs this week tho and I think I can hold out until next week which hopefully will give me the MTC episode I so desperately want (Yes, i have a division bias and i’m not afraid to show it)
Jakurai entertaining kids are just so cute. I think its very very precious.
* Also. What kind of doctor is Jakurai anyways? So far we know that he’s a councilor/therapist (helps Doppo w/ his anxiety), a pediatrician (he helped a kid), a family doctor (I think i might be wrong on this one), a surgeon (In the FP vs MTC manga he’s shown preforming surgery), a hitman/assassin (:/ yeah evil line records seems intent on retconning this one), a battle field medic (he’s state to be one during WWIII) and now he’s getting called into the orthopedic (things concerning the musculoskeletal system) and gastroenterology (working w. the digestive system) department, two things that have nothing in common with each other. And I’m sure I’m missing some. There is no way in hell this man can do all that he’s 35 for fucks sake. You’d be old and grey before you could learn and complete the credentials needed to work half of these jobs
Nice to now that theres some hints of jakurai’s past. I have a feeling that we’ll be seeing more of the detective later in the story, esp for Matenrou
Doppo being overworked as usual *sigh*. When will the man ever rest? Never... Though im a bit skeptical as to why one of his co-workers calls him doppo. this is a work environment, usually he’d be called “Kanonzaka” for the least amount of informality. seems sus to me. Though his depiction of his insecurities is nice
I love how his first reaction is to call Hifumi and as him if he’s killed anyone. Peak bromance guys.
Honestly Doppo’s method of trying to calm down is nice but not at all effective. He has the right mindset of calming down and letting his body breath, but the way he goes about it is... eh.
Tom and Iris’ argument is hilarious and I really want to see more of them and Rex! Can’t wait to see what happens with these three new characters

Samatoki respecting the fuck outta Jakurai is amazing and I never get tired of their father-child kind of relationship (yes jakurai is a dad to TDD fight me.)
The Riou and Samatoki interactionnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ah my heart!! they know each other so well and play off each others strengths. its so cute and I love how Samatoki knows his teammates well enough to know when to play each of his pieces. He isn’t just some brute who speaks through his fists, but he does use his head too. I think this is one of the reasons why he’s also high up on the Yakuza ladder since he’s not only brawny but also brainy

Ah, Doppochin snapped~ He’s very interesting once he gets fired up and thats when I really really like MTR. Don’t get me wrong, I love them normally but its when they get down to it that really makes me squeal in delight
Oh! So i think each character gets their own personalized intro w/ their speakers, not just the leaders. Thats honestly so so so cool. The 3D didn’t get in the way of the sequence and was really flashy and smooth. I love how they show the transformation and reveal of the mic and speaker. Honestly the Anime has so many good takes on thigs that aren’t touched on often in the franchise.
The rap was honestly fire this time around. I love it and have replayed it almost 20 times. According to the ending credits its called Welcome U which is so cute for such a funny and badass song. The strong base beat and imagery were so strong and included a lot of homages to things that really matches both Shinjuku, Matenrou and the lyric’s themes and they’re really small but important details! The humor was on point without sacrificing any of the amazingly cool elements and the three distinct styles of rap were integrated in such a catchy melody!
EG) the verse All Year Round features a quick shot of the four seasons and the things most prominently associated with each season. Spring has cherry blossoms and flower viewing, Summer has festivals, Fall and Winter have food that corresponds to events that happen in those seasons.
Doppo’s line of “The flea counters w/ a bite” is so so so cute bc he’s got a little w at the end and thats jp chatspeak for a laugh and skjdfhsdjfkslad adorable
Hifumi picking up right after and asking if Doppo is okay is just. Goals. And his gratutious english works really well and is super smooth! Very very good
Also the small homage to The Champions with Hifumi’s “Jump around” line and the format where Hifumi takes separate lines than Jaku and Doppo. Its a brilliant way to sneak these references in and they’ve kept that theme going from last episode
Foreshadowing with “We’re the true leader, Matenro!” Nice touch there lol.
Lol of course its attempted murder. Still gotta keep this PG 13 even though theres swearing abound
The ending w/ mimimi..... leaves me kind of torn since i don’t like how it ended but they did provide some nice advice. i guess

Bitch this should be an easy one, one of two flower petals: ROSES, or SAKURA BLOSSOMS. Because I’m a romantic, cheesy , weaboo son of a bitch and by god, this disease would be clear proof of it 🌹🌸 This is a weird disease though, had to look it up and I don’t know how what flower affects if I had it, guess it depends on the person so I chose my ideal flowers.
2. if someone were to catch Hanahaki disease for you, what flowers would they cough up?
See this is where I got confused when looking it up, but they would cough up say my favorite flowers? It would probably be roses most likely because they are thorny and unrequited love is a bitch. If it were the happier side to the disease, maybe pansies or sakura leaves? Piggybacking from my last ask, carnations are favorite of mine and a specific one I like is called “Baby’s Breath”, which can also factor into this disease, I can see it working visually compared to the other flowers.
8. what combination of natural scents would you use as perfume?
This is your expertise, not mine!! :’D I don’t know much about COMBINING scents, some of my favorites are mint/sage leaves, the smell of the land after rain, peach, cherry, apples and strawberries (peach and cherry blossoms for the lotion I use), vanilla, lavender, and coffee. As far as combinations for perfume, maybe things like mint + strawberries/peach, or mint + vanilla, sage + cherry, sage + lavender, or cherry + peach.

WELL, I would probably FLIRT horribly with the witch first and foremost, whether she is the goth gf type witch or the big nosed old fairytale style witch, and she would either cast a spell regarding love or my tongue? For love, it would probably be something like “you fill these people with empty sweet nothings, now they will see through your bluffings!” and suddenly, my charm no longer works, or no one believes anything about me, or it could go as far as a a long term relationship fucking up out of nowhere towards the end. 25. favorite childhood story? (doesn’t have to be a fairy tale)
Okay this one is a doozie and about a video game I’ve probably never talked about here.
When i was a kid and got my first Playstation, my dad had a few games but the one that stood out was called “Orphen: Scion of Sorcery”, some obscure action game based on another obscure anime with the same title character, Orphen, who looked like a wannabe punk but also used swords made of magic. It was probably my first experience with anime before watching anime for reals, since it had characters with colorful hair, over the top music and characters, and anime ass battles, like Orphen fighting basically LEVIATHAN as a first boss, while the dragon is destroying the ship he is on and Orphen is jumping around the sails while shouting anime spells in a cringy voice.
But it’s that same cringy voice I used to replicate on the school yard, I would run around with other kids shouting shit like “THE HAND OF PYRO” (AND ITS SAID EMPHASIZED JUST LIKE THAT) and pretend to shoot fireballs. Like, this shit was so weird that game, and the story itself was confusing but I was able to barely comprehend the story at hand, since it all involves helping three major characters whose stories don’t interact but the villains in one story will be the allies in another, and it was a mess but also very emotional at times.
The last major thing I got from this game was one of the characters you helped called Mar, a little boy who is trying to find his mom, using a lullaby she sang to him as a clue, constantly playing on his flute. What’s cool is who was able to fight by playing notes and sending music notes as an attack, and used other instruments like cymbals too. What stuck with me the most was that lullaby, his theme, and was probably a precursor to my appreciation for music. It was annoying at first because he would play it on a loop, but you would hear it throughout his story in other ways, such as an organ version. It was less annoying but had a bigger impact, because the organ version came from a character that has is possibly his mother, and has to constantly play the song on her organ or else some beast residing in the island their on will awaken. When I fought said beast and he played his song again to subdue it, thats when the impact of the song really hit me, and I understood just how powerful music was for him, to that island, and to the monster. Fuck man, its music therapy for the monster, maybe my pursuit of it stemmed from his story.
ANYWAYS ThAT WAS A RANt. What you need to take away from this is, one of my first big games was some obscure anime game, I shouted the main dudes battle spells at school, and I learned different meanings of music through Mar and the game in general. It was a weird experience but I had a full cathartic experience once I was older and played it to its end and understood it all. It may have been cringe, but its a hidden gem in my book!

Self Care Real Talk
I, like many others suffer from depression. I, also like many others, read the cliché self-care posts on Tumblr. I don’t always feel like I can agree with some of the self-care posts. Now there are a lot of good ones and a lot of cliché ones and you never know which ones are going to work the best for you. To whoever is reading this I want you to realize that you are a unique individual. (Yeah Lizzi, obviously I know that) Ok but let me finish this before you Kanye me.
You are not just a unique individual you are a unique creation of chromosomes and DNA and so much more. And no one will ever live the life that you have lived, and no one will ever have the experiences you have had; and that is amazing and horrifying all in one. So please keep that in mind as I write this.
The first thing I want to say is I am not a doctor.
Or a professional in anyway shape or form. All I am is a 25-year-old woman in college for her masters with severe anxiety and depression and ADHD. Usually it is very difficult for me to talk about these things but I wanted to share this with you or with anyone who’s willing to read this so that maybe what I have learned about myself can help you.
Onto the real topic: self-care. As I said a lot of different, varying posts can be found. Some are cheesy, while some are more practical. One thing that can happen while trying any specific self-care (whether practical or cheesy) is that it can feel like it doesn’t work. And the reason I am making you read all this is so I can tell you this.
Be patient. With yourself, as well as with how long it may take your body or brain to acclimate to the self-care.
I am going to give you a real life example from my path to show you how self-care posts and the care itself affects me.
Water: I think most of us have seen somewhere that “drinking water and staying hydrated can help lift mood and give more energy etc”
And the meme where someone commented that *sip sip* I’m still depressed like do you think water is going to help?
And sorry to say it is. You wont notice right away but gradually drinking more water everyday can also gradually affect your mood in a positive way.
Thats how it worked for me anyway. And even now I still have days where I dont drink anything let alone water, so also remember these kinds of changes take time.
Basically, when someone tells you to do something, like if you had the flu as a kid and your guardian told you YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR MEDICINE. It tasted awful, but it was something you had to do to feel better. So you did it.
That is the same thing with self-care and depression. I feel that (and of course this is just my opinion) the thing you know you should do but you really really dont want to or you are scared to do, is just what needs to happen.
Exercise is another example of something one can do to alleviate symptoms of mood disorders. Yes I am trying to do so more and can see a difference working out a little bit but also I have days where I only move from bed to living room with sporadic trips to the fridge.

the irony is this: i asked for nothing serious. my exact words 11/12
in retrospect, neither of us saw this coming. coming out of a serious relationship of 3 years (serious to me a serial non-committer) i thought id take this time to step back and look at the bigger picture that is my life. find myself again. reprioritize. dig up my values. renew and restart to live a life invested in myself and my truth. then it happened.
and when it happened it seriously happened. all at once. as cliche as it may sound it started really slow then hit me all of a sudden. i was, in love? falling? super duper fast and hard. all of a sudden. then next thing you know we cant spend a day apart. was i getting comfortable? did i not have enough time to get uncomfortable? what was happening... what is happening. my patterns can be unhealthy but i couldn’t find anything wrong with what we were doing or what i was doing. then as quickly as it rose, it fell. enter all the negative, gross emotions that come with love. skepticism, distrust, jealousy, comparison. yuck. i couldnt take it. i almost bailed... twice. 3x if you include the time i got really drunk and ditched the kick it to drive home on my own. then didn’t answer your calls or texts all night. a classic nicole move right there. you stuck around though to my surprise. you got mad for a sec then got over it. is that love?

its comedy. you think you love someone and see the rest of your life with them. all of a sudden you drop them and its like life never stopped. it keeps going. you realize, you didn’t need this person. but they were great to be around. you cared about them so much. you admired them. then. you fall in love. you obsess. you cling. you need. you desire. you crave. affection has never felt so perfect. being cheesy and corny all of a sudden make sense. all those movies and songs that you rolled your eyes to are the latest pleasures of your everyday. you are feelin it. them. in love. and its absolutely perfect.

remember when i talked about the negative feelings that come with love? yea. thats the suckiest part about the whole deal. its a high forsure. that comes with huge...and i mean HUGE risk. of hurt. thats where im at now. im scared. my ego chimes in and she is loud. she likes to tell me that itll never last. that there will be someone better. prettier. younger. more talented. more to give. she tells me that this is nothing. that it can never be “serious”. that it can never actually be you. she tells me that im just here for company, that im filling a void. that i only take care of him and receive nothing in return. she tells me hes interested in other people but cant get them. he settled.

(this is ego talking) and let me tell that last one might have fucked me up today. 2/25. i was trippin at work. i mean i usually do, its an easy environment to ruminate in. but im working on it every day. finding myself exercises and questions to work through. redirecting to my senses when im stuck on a thought. making flow charts and maps to analyze my own thought process. unlearning bad thought patterns. reestablishing healthier patterns. forming new habits when a thought enters my mind. [is it true? does it serve or starve? is it out of my hands?] when i focus on my sensations i ask myself what do i see? hear? what can i touch? (i like feeling change in temperature hot/cold) what can i smell or taste? and the last one, what am i thankful for?
ironically enough. i fell in love with you. and in order to stay with you, trust you, not repeat my mistakes and fall into old patterns. i reacquainted with myself. without trying or forcing myself to be alone. i fall in love with myself everyday. not because im loving myself and getting better at it everyday, but having to wake up neutral and finding reasons to love myself as the day progresses. because i need to. in order to love you. in order to trust. to make this work, i had to trust myself enough to know that i’ll be alright if it goes to shit. and i will be, i know that. because. im the fucking shit. and youre pretty great too.

2. How did you hear about Sonic?
Back when I was about 3 yrs old, my parents had an old SEGA Genesis and Sonic 1,2 and Spinball was one of the few games we had, One of my older Cousin gave us Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles later. I use to watch my mother play Sonic 2 before I got the chance to play it myself so I have her to thank for getting me into Sonic (As well as Mario)
5. Favourite female character(s)?
Cream the Rabbit is one of them, I am a sucker for cute things, characters, critters, etc. Boom Amy, they finally ditched the “Stalker Girlfriend” trait in her. that was one thing that prevented me from liking Amy and now that they removed that, shes a much more likable character and the fact she does more in the Boom TV show is a plus
11. AoSTH, Satam or Sonic X?
Adventures hands down. I use to watch that show before I went to school in my elementary years. I haven’t seen Sonic X and I’m not too big of a fan of the serious Satam series. I just like adventure’s admittedly cheesy as hell comedy at times
13. Favourite Sonic form? Pick one.
Werehog Sonic. I like the idea of Sonic being outside of his comfort zone inter ems of his abilities. Instead of being all fast and nimble like he normal is, hes a slow, powerful beast with stretchy arms. Which is a shame we mostly likely won’t see this form again cause most fans hated the werehog sections in Unleashed and the fact the form is only possible thanks to some of Dark Gaia's power manifesting in Sonic at the time
16. Favourite Sonic soundtrack(s)?
Ohh boy, I have so many, I’ll list the games that have my favorite songs to put a long question short cause there are some songs I can’t say is better than another
Sonic 1, 2 (Mega Drive and Game Gear), 3 and Knuckles, 3D Blast (Mega Drive and Saturn), CD (English and Japanese), Chaos, Triple Trouble, Adventure 1 and 2, Heroes, Mania, Advance 1, 2 and 3 and thats only scratching the surface
25. Favourite voice actor for Sonic?
I like all 3 main VA’s for different reasons. I like Drummond (forgive me if I misspell their last names) for his adventurous attitude his gave Sonic. Griffith for his performance of werehog Sonic in Unleashed. Smith for Sonic’s statistic and comedic side and I will admit he is getting better as Sonic in my eyes. He may not be on the levels of Drummond’s voicing but I can see Smith’s potential and the fact it sounds like hes having fun doing Sonic’s voice in the Boom cartoon
