my favorite fics that i wrote and why
So, first I'll explain. I'm gonna being reccing my own fics which I'm not super sure how to do cause I mostly just yeet shit on ao3 and let the fates decide, and I'm never sure what's like, too much? Like I see other people rec their own fics and I'm like (O O) how do i do that. Like idk why I have this resistance to like, telling people that I like my own fics? So today I said fuck that, everyone's gonna know now.
And I've just been doing not so hot recently for a number of reason and I figured like, I've been obsessing over so much, why don't I get to be excited about the good things? So anyway, these are my favorite fics that I've written, not just the ones that have done the best or whatever, just my personal favorites, so without further ado...

First up is sorry that i can't believe anybody really starts to fall in love with me , don't ask why the name is so long I just like the song lmao. This one's special to me cause it was my first KPTS fic. Is it the best? No. Does it have a super deep meaning? Nope. But it's cute and it's mine so I love it. Next!
the imperfect art of making it. Very self indulgent. I wrote this for the endorphins fic fest which gave me the motivation to write, but really I just loving transing my characters, and soft KimChay deserves lots of love.
Next up, do you look up to the sky? My first whumptober fic and the first one I wrote bc as soon as I looked at the prompts I was like "oh Kim's getting locked in the fucking basement for sure" and then he did! Success. Also KimChay are a pstd4ptsd couple, I won't be taking questions at this time.
This is getting longer than I thought it was gonna be but fuck it, I told myself I was doing this to remind myself why I like writing and that I do actually enjoy it so the longer the better tbh bc it means I really do love it. It's not a bad thing if all of my fics have a special place in my heart, right?
Ok last of the non dead dove ones is i should have kissed you. I don't exactly have a reason, I just think it's a good fic.
The next ones are dead dove cause I have two modes which are cute fluff and illegal <3
chay and kinn and chay. This thing is my baby. I love him with my whole heart. I wrote him in discord messages on my walk to and from classes. This is one fic that I would not be ashamed to say I've read several times over. This is the fic that I think of when people say "write the fics you want to read." This was also a spite fic which makes all of that even funnier lmao
Willow Dancin' On Air. This one's not dead dove but it is KimVegas so eh. But this is another fic I wrote purely for myself. I just wanted some fluffy lil somethin somethin and now every time I listen to this song I think of this fic
Ok last one, Why minors shouldn’t gamble. This one also started on discord and was written in my notes app at like. 9 am while I was still in bed lmao. Because that's where inspiration peaks. And it's hot idk. omegaverse will never not be be a special interest of mine, hopefully one day we can find out what happens when Kim joins the party, I'm genuinely curious.
OK! So. That was something. Tbh I feel a lot better lmao. My therapist would be so proud of me if I ever told her I write fanfiction pff. Normalize reading your own fics over and over. I'm saying that directly to myself cause I see all these like motivational things about writing and then I don't believe them, what's that about?? Doing this reminded me that I actually like the things I create, highly recommend. Now I'm gonna get myself a glass of water cause for the next maybe 12 hours I'm changing my life!! Ok, so I've been thinking about my favorite Bridgertons (admittedly mostly I'm ANTSY for Season 3 news, but we're going to pretend I was doing something productive with that energy), and I have decided to make Book and Show lists of my favorite Bridgerton men and partners.
Disclaimer: I'm a Polin girl. Colin is topping every list and everyone else is competing for silver, so bear that in mind.
Book Bridgertons
Colin Bridgerton. Our boy is a writer and basically the human incarnation of a golden retriever. Best Bridgerton, no questions.
Anthony Bridgerton. Say what you want about the daddy issue, but this man managed to keep things together throughout his dad's death and the antics of seven siblings. As a fellow oldest child, RESPECT.
Gregory Bridgerton. Despite this man being objectively the dumbest of the Bridgerton boys, he's at least a bit of a sweetie.
Benedict Bridgerton. I do not understand why people like Book Benedict. He spends the entire book going "women are stupid." He has a literal bowl of rocks. Dislike.

Colin Bridgerton. I warned y'all. Babyfaced boy who wants to be in love and has a white knight preoccupation? I feel like Angelica Skylar looking at Alexander Hamilton and going "I want to take him far away from this place".
Anthony Bridgerton. The single most relevant recipt: "Do you even know all the ways a woman can be seduced?" Also, despite flaws and arrogance, still a kickass older brother holding the ship together.

(Hey sorry I haven’t really posted yet! I’ve got a couple requests in drafts but I’ve been suffering through some physical illness and writer’s block. Obviously the physical illness was more worrisome. Straight up had to go to the ER, really sucked. Anyways, to tide you all over here are some hc’s of some of my favorite Pokés with an autistic reader, cause it’s mostly for me.)

If you’re overwhelmed from a sensory overload, like super loud noises and crowds, or some bad smells coming out of nowhere, time for a ride on their back outta there!! They got big ol hands so they’ll cover your ears if you don’t have headphones, if you’ve accidentally left them home or they broke.
If you like pressure on you, they👏 are 👏 here 👏 to lay on you gently. But they’re also a heavy so you may want to remind them not to do that and get you weighted blanket instead, or one of your lighter Pokés.
If you do hand flaps when you’re happy they love doing hand flappies with you!!! Hand flappies all around! Also happy noises!! Lots of happy noises! Back when they were a Totodile they most likely chewed on everything of yours, and if you’ve got some oral fixation, guess what, chewable jewelry buddies!! Or you might call them chewies like me. Also got giant fricking hands to cover your ears in emergencies. They are all absolute big brains so they are super good at reminding you to take your medicine on time, they probably organized it in one of those holders the sweetheart.
They are a ghost type, but not to worry, they can definitely give you that physical affection kick when needed. Seriously they give fantastic hugs! Those arms aren’t just for yeeting spirits into the afterlife y’know. Though their texture isn’t unpleasant it isn’t like, as comfy as like a dog tummy. A little cold too.
Will also yeet anyone who’s being an asshole to you! They must protect.
They don’t really have a mouth like people or other Pokémon but so they don’t really get oral fixation but dammit if they aren’t going to help you pick out some cute chewies. Yeah sure they got the tummy mouth but it’s not the same thing, they don’t really have teeth.
Like fiddling with stuff in your hands so your mind doesn’t wander off or so you don’t feel anxious, yeah they like fiddling too. Get one of those fidget cubes or a rubix cube and they will be occupied for a while. Or maybe just play with each others hands! That’s always really cute. (๑>ᴗ<๑) Yes they will let you fiddle with the antenna on their head, but don’t do it too much! They might accidentally take it another way.
Since they only have one eye, they have some depth perception issues, so if you have problems with running into doorways or tripping over stuff even when you know they’re there, they get you on that. They’re also super worried cause like, ow.
They don’t really do hand flaps but they think it’s super adorable when you do it! Shows that you’re happy and they love it when you’re happy.
Verbal communication problems? No worries, they’ve got you. They most likely know quite a few sign languages, so they’ll help you get by when you can’t say anything out loud.
Look they might be big brain but first thought they had when you said you liked pressure on you they thought to lay on top of you. sksksskk They totally remember to place a weighted blanket on you but they love snuggling with you so much they just thought they’d help more directly.
Gothitelle
(ok we all saw Gothitelle coming. she is the face of the blog pretty much and i call myself mod Goth lmao)
Like all psychic types they are very in-tune with your emotions even when you’re not. Like, if you’re feeling overwhelmed and are maybe red-faced over stuff, they get that, literally. They legit feel what you’re feeling and will do what they can to fix the problem, by helping you calm down or by getting you out of the situation. They only have those tiny little mitten hands so they can’t really cover your ears that well but trust me that they will remember to have backup headphones just in case.
They will very much hug you when you’re craving physical affection, they may have noodle arms but their hugs are so comforting. Also texture wise, on the dress and bow-like parts of their body, they kinda feel like t-shirt material, so they are very comfy if you like that texture.
Will also yeet people who are being mean to you, but with psychic powers cause psychic type and noodle arms.
They’re really not a chewer and since they don’t really have fingers they can’t really fidget/fiddle with stuff either. But they will definitely join in with hand flaps!
Also since psychic type, they can just telepathically tell people what you’re trying to say, or just talk to you that way. Much easier than trying to use your vocal chords when they’re not wanting to work.
Another big brain who’s super good at organizing your medication and getting them to you on time. Also very good at waking you up on time, gotta keep everything consistent or the medicine won’t work right!
Will absolutely remember to lay a weighted blanket on you when it’s time for bed, gotta keep you comfy!
They’re just so gentle and will smooch your bruises when you accidentally bump into stuff.
Will also do brushies on you when needed! Gotta make sure those nerves are firing correctly and that certain touches won’t overwhelm you too much!
(I hope these were ok! I know these were mostly for myself and some of these things I don’t have, the weighted blanket thing for example, but I know fellow autists have those! Btw to the anon that sent in the Lucario thing, seriously that’s just so precious and I haven’t ignored your ask! Basic Premise of this AU: Through some magic fuckery or whatever, Chantilly is allowed out of the Troupe and decides to tag along with our funky wyrm gal because nowhere else to go/hrnng big lady pretty. They actually do start going out and it turns out hey! They like each other, like a lot.
They like each other so much that they get married and bam, WyrmThread real
This is great because not only is my otp now canon and alive, Fuego (and later on Lune when Fuego adoptskidnaps them into the family) now has both parents! And they love their kids sm like damn do not get in between them else you want to get yeeted to Unalive World.
In this one, the motivations for [REDACTED] have now morphed into somewhat the same way in terms of being dealt with but now we got the lacey boy to help Quezal do [SPOILERS], fight [SPOILERS] and help complete [SPOILERS] and help establish her empire. (I’m sorry but I am not revealing any important Codex spoilers yet)

Girlboss and Malewife, except they’re both still murderous and would happily see you to your grave if you intervene with any of their plans. I’ve given Chantilly throwing knives :) because he deserves to be dangerous.
He deserves to look cool!! With knives!!! Fighting alongside his wifey!!
Of course NKG fucks off when Chantilly leaves the Troupe but I love to think of him being akin to a disapproving in-law (“Really Chantilly?? You run off and marry some wyrm that didn’t even have a kingdom to begin with? Have the standards of the Nightmare Vessels deteriorated as time went on?”)
Chantilly is somewhat concerned that Fuego is much more, for lack of a better word, feral than a regular Grimmchild would be but he doesn’t regret the decision to have him. He loves his bitey son even if he scratches through fabrics like water.
And Quezal enjoys having another person to coil around and snarl at anyone that gets too close to them. It does take a while until they’re like velcro due to her issues with touch being equated to violence (Thanks dad /s) but once she overcomes that fight or flight response she absolutely does not let go of him.
Burrowing into a dark place and nuzzling until he smells like her makes Wyrm brain go brr. And since he isn’t a wyrm there’s no instinct yelling at her to maim him if there’s no babies to take care of/mating season passed, he in her eyes is harmless. Even if they both know different, at least in her brain he is just a lil guy, no threat to her.
Chantilly loves all the attention he’s getting from her, absolutely will allow her to carry him off and coil up against him as long as he can work on sewing while she broods over him.
He’s naturally warm and for a wyrm that needs outside heat to regulate her inner temp like a snake he’s like a hot water bottle, world cold husband warm.

Love languages!!!
Quezal once she gets comfortable with physical stuff likes to nuzzle and bite :) but not to draw any hemo or cause harm, just to hold in mouth. She also likes to do acts of service, making sure that her husband is wont for nothing and doing little things like sharpening his knives for him.
Chantilly loves to gift-give! Usually things he made by hand.
“Quezal pls let me make you pretty dresses and outfits please you would so look good in teal”
He likes kissing a lot, smoochies for wife and cuddling is great for him too, as long as he can sleep with his chest unobstructed he’s good
They both love showing each other off

When the empire is finally formed and Quezal takes her place as Empress she offers the title of Emperor to Chantilly
He declines, Royal titles are just not his thing and he feels uncomfortable with them, so instead he goes by the title of “Lord”
His duties consist of assisting with any paperwork Quezal doesn’t want to deal with and being eye candy (/j but also not really he loves being shown off esp in new outfits)
He also deals with nobles that aren’t too pushy, the ones that do are quickly steered towards Quezal. And usually after a meeting with her they learn better than to try to smart mouth either of them.
Family Notes!
Chantilly’s the one to go to if you need advice and soothing comfort
Quezal’s the one to go to if you need someone beat the fuck up and also advice but in the no nonsense way.
She also comforts but it's not in the way that Chantilly will delicately soothe the pains away, she tells you how it is but will hug you and tuck you into bed if wanted.
On the other hand, Chantilly is the one Fuego and Lune go to if they want to do something crazy or stupid and know that mom won’t say yes.
He dresses them up in poofy outfits (see the clown costume I’ve thrown on Fuego as an example) and shows them off to Quezal

A/N: i love steeb. also thought I’d mention that this is based on a horrible day I had when I was like 10... I didn't have a steve to comfort me, but after writing this, I REALLY wish I did

I didn't know who cursed my day because it wasn't going well at all. It started with small things, like; mission report deadlines were changed and no one told me, Sam accidentally tripped me over and then proceeded to laugh, Thor dropped my mug and made me clean up all the glass
Or the fact that I had just poured cereal and then found out that there wasn't any milk.
I literally stood there for about 5 minutes staring at the bowl of dry cereal and at one point, contemplated whether it would taste the same if I poured water on it.
"Hey, Y/N," I heard from the other side of the island, interrupting my train of thought - probably for the best.
"Steve, hey," I said in a monotone voice, pouring the dry cereal back into the box.
"Oh, Buck just got back from the store with some milk—" he stopped once I gave him a glare. "Sorry," he said as I sighed watching Bucky walk in with the groceries.
"Morning, Y/N—"
"Don't-- just pass me the milk," Steve looked at him, signaling him to leave as soon as possible.
"Uh sure, have a good day," he practically threw (yEeTeD) the bags across the island and fled the scene. I poured the cereal back in the bowl, this time with milk following straight after. As I took my first bite, I glanced up at Steve, wondering why he was watching me eat.
"Oh— I just wanted to let you know that Tony wanted you to help him out with some new prototypes after lunch," I nodded, watching him give me a small smile before I continued.
"I'll see you later," he left before I could say anything.

The day didn't get any better. My phone was being slow, so I accidentally threw it at the wall and broke it, Clint accidentally spilled water over me at lunch and now I had to spend time with Tony - just great.
As I walked into Tony's 'playroom' as I liked to call it, I noticed a pod looking thing.
"Ah! Y/N, my trusty assistant—"
"Yeah, there's no way I'm getting in there," I pointed to the weird capsule.
"Well, you're gonna, so," he guided me into it as Pepper entered.
"Um, this isn't putting Y/N in danger is it?" She asked leaning against Tony's work station, looking through his notes.
"Well—" my eyes widened as I looked between the pair.
"Well, is it?!" my muffled voice said through the glass.
"I don't really know, but you've got us two if something goes wrong—" he shut the door.
"Tony," she said he rolled his eyes, walking over to Pepper.
They began having a secret argument, presumably about my safety, and just as an aside, Pepper was totally winning. As I sighed, I heard a rumbling noise coming from this pod thing.
"Uh, guys?" I asked but they continued their bickering. Before I could ask again, I saw sparks burst from the side of the machine I was standing in. The couple snapped their heads towards me, but before Tony could open the door, a piece of the top came off, cutting my forehead.
"Oh my gosh, Y/N! Are you ok?" Pepper rushed over, helping me up.
I was so frustrated with the headache and the events of the day, that I just ran out of the room, not paying attention to their voices shouting after me. Tears streamed down my face as I ran back to my room, clutching the some-what bleeding injury on my forehead.
The tears and dizziness from the shock hindered my vision. Not paying attention, I felt my body collide into a larger one; I braced myself for impact, expecting my body to meet the floor, but instead muscular arms wrapped around me, catching my fall.
I looked up to see Steve with a worried expression staring back at me. He looked around, before rushing us to his room. He sat me on his bed, and rushed to his bathroom, grabbing a towel and a first aid kit.
He passed me the towel, telling me to put pressure on my forehead, as he opened the kit. He sat beside me and removed the towel, using an alcohol pad to wipe the injury. As I hissed slightly from the stinging, he grabbed my hand, rubbing the back with his thumb.

As he placed the band-aid on the cut, I felt myself begin to cry. Refusing to look at him, he sighed sadly before wrapping his arms around me once again. I buried my head into his chest, sobbing quietly, letting out all of my frustrations. His warm hand rubbed my back, before I revealed my puffy face, resting it on his shoulder blade.
"You ok?" He asked softly.
"I- I'm just having a bad day," I felt tears fall once again.
"That's it, let it all out. I'm here," He said to me as I wrapped my arms around his torso.
Once I had calmed down, he asked if I was ok again. I ended up telling him all of the things that happened, and even though he was there for most of them, he sat and listened, comforting me.
"I was actually coming to look for you," he said once I had told him what had happened moments before he found me. I looked up into his blue eyes, smiling slightly.
"I glad you did," I said before the doors opened dramatically, revealing a worried Tony.
"Oh thank God! Are you alright?! You weren't in your room, we thought you left," he said before Steve motioned him to calm down.
"I'm so sor—" I yawned causing Steve to let out a small chuckle.
"Y/N's had a long day," Steve saved me as I smiled shyly. "Come find me tomorrow, and maybe try not to give me a concussion this time," I said as he nodded before leaving the room.
Steve scanned my face before getting up to grab one of his t-shirts. He passed it to me and turned around, signaling me to change. Once I was done, he guided me to his bed and laid me down.
He went to his door, to turn his lights off and I watched as he hesitated for a moment. He glanced back at me as I smiled nodding, and with that, the room dimmed as I watched his silhouette walk closer to me. The bed dipped as I immediately felt the warmth of his arms surround me once again.
"Thank you, Steve," I mumbled tiredly as I felt him smile.
"No problem, Y/N," he said, placing a soft kiss on my cheek before I drifted off.
