A/n: Sorry guys i Felt a little angsty today and i put a little too much of my daddy issues into this lmao

Plot: Basically reader is stressing about going back home because of her father because he's a shit head

LUFY; He knows a little bit more about your past than the rest; he's your captain; he takes that as his responsibility. So when he saw your entire expression change when nami said the next place they would dock was your home island he was worried . He wanted to talk to you about it but Usopp needed his attention.Later’ he told himself that he'd go into your room. Later he actually arrived when you heard a sudden knock at your door it caught you by surprise. When you opened it you expected to see nami or sanji but not Luffy he had a plate in his hand ‘Damn I missed dinner’. You looked at luffy in the eye and he had his serious expression “{Name} Could we talk?”. your heart drops to your stomach, you had prayed that no one would ask you that 4 letter question, you created your throat “Mhm- yea come in” He takes slow footsteps as he looks around your room looking for a place to set down the food he settled for the nightstand. He takes a seat on your bed while patting the space next to him. You go but reluctantly “What’s the problem captain” Luffy not one for beating around the bush and he wouldn’t do it right now “Is there something in your hometown that you fear {Name}?” You feel tears try to escape your eyes when you blink rapidly. You think about lying but it's Luffy he would find out anyways “Yes their is' '. He perks up at this “Well whatever it is i'm all ears.” so you spill everything along with you crying in the process. When you finished everything there were two things on Luffy's mind: How he was gonna kill this bastard and you didn't deserve any of that. you except luffy to say something but he doesn’t he use uts his straw hat onto you and hugs you and you basically jump into his arms and cry some more and he doesn’t complain he knows you need this and who is he to take this away from you “Shit i got my tears all over your shirt” After you separate from the hug “It’s ok i have more” You smile at him and he returns the favor. He gets off your bed and walks to the door “wait where are you going?” “Telling nami that we need to change where we’re docking”

ZORO; He never really knew about your past no one on the crew did. So when he found you crying in your room trying to stay silent it broke his heart. He didn't say anything as you tried to wipe your tears away from your red eyes. He just closed the door behind him and sat besides you in the corner of your room. He saw that you were shaking uncontrollably. He doesn't do emotions well but he would learn for you. He noticed you tried to speak but your voice but nothing went out “You don’t have to say anything {name}”. you looked at him in the eyes for the first time since he saw you “Thank you” Your voice was lower than a whisper only letting his ears hear it. You try to stand but you do it too quickly causing you to fast it causes you to fall back but zoro catches you “Let’s get you sat down ok” He carried you bridal style onto your bed laying you down gently. He goes to leave but you grab his wrist “Dont go please” He sees you silently pleading in your eyes so he stays he crawls into the bed with you he has you lay your head on his chest “Ro can I tell you what happened” “You don't have to” “I just need someone to talk to about it” He puts his full attention on you nothing else has his attention. So when you tell him everything His heart is hurting but angry No human deserves any of that “Do you feel better?” You nod at him “But tired” He gently grabs your face making you look at him “Sleep I’ll be here when you wake up” In zoro’s mind he was gonna kill that asshole

Warnings ⚠️ - g/n reader, I slapped Luffy in here :)

- Blacksmith? You were literally MADE to take care of Zoro’s swords

- he was a bit skeptical at first (his swords are his children)

- but after a little while, he let you clean them and te polish them whenever they looked a bit dingy

- he can’t help but just- stare at you whenever you’re handling his swords

- He just KNOWS that you won’t do anything to hurt them or break them

- the way you delicately handle them, wiping the blade off, and testing the sharpness with pieces of paper

- He can’t help but just fall in love with you even more 😭

- it gets a bit uncomfortable when he’s just staring straight at you when you’re just trying to clean his swords 💀

- “Um- Zoro- im not going to break your swords so don’t worry…”

- “I wasn’t staring- wh- no! Yeah you better not break them!”

- To try and get closer to you, he asked if you could teach him how to properly clean his swords and polish them

- He still doesn’t understand it- but you’re just so perfect in his eyes

- this mosshead is adorable to you, always asking how to clean his swords himself, staring when you’re polishing them for him

- You appreciate how much trust and faith he has in you, you’re aware that his swords are literally his life

- and he’s clueless about directions so it’s always funny when he gets lost 😭

- you help keep this mosshead on his feet, and he loves that about you

- You pretty much took on the job of taking care of Zoro when you started to look after his swords

- And tbh it’s a pretty nice job :)

- You love him, and he loves you

- … his confession needed a ton of work but- it got the message across

- But now with you? His life just- he can’t even find words to describe how much he wants to stay alive, just to be with you forever <3

ok backlog of thoughts on the one piece arcs i did not think to liveblog! putting a bunch under a read more because this got long and i don’t want to make a ton of separate posts for retroactive takes.

- luffy really just set out to sea with the thought process of “if i die well lmao.” decidedly unlmao, but don’t tell him that. he also immediately decided koby made a perfect punching bag

- the entire exchange with zoro was basically “join my crew!” “no.” “i think you should.” “guess i have absolutely no choice but to join.” and that is now their entire story

- luffy getting anyone to join his crew is basically just that gif that cuts between bryan cranston dancing and pointing at himself. luffy isn’t asking, either. welcome to the crew, you start in an hour.

- also, love this dinghy. two dudes, chilling in a small boat two feet apart because there’s no room. luffy’s having a blast with his two man crew and zoro’s just along for the ride. completely unfazed. gonna work on his tan and nap.

- also, also. they showed it later in the anime but it was the first thing in the manga, but luffy stabbing himself in the face. see, i remember reading the first volume in middle school so i was waiting for that scene. i also had vague memories of other characters like zoro and sanji, so it was nice to see them appear again. not so nice to remember my first introduction to one piece was the 4kids version lmao

- i love makino. this woman is like 20 on the outside but you know after dealing with luffy and shanks & co. she’s gotta be feeling 50 on the inside. i hope she gets to hit someone with a broom at some point. or go on vacation.

- shanks is like the cool uncle you’ll let watch your kid for a few hours, but only because you called another adult to watch shanks. the dude leaves a devil fruit on the bar in plain view of a hungry child and goes yep, surely nothing will come of this. of course he fuckin’ ate it. freaked out for a minute and went damn, well what can you do lol this is inconvenient

- these bandits coming into the bar and giving shanks shit, only to have luffy give the leader shit back and the guy decides well! guess i, a grown man, have no choice but to beat up a child.

(karma said lmao)

- nami showed up and said she’ll fuck luffy’s shit up if she has to. and then she did. good for her.

- i think the introduction of buggy was the first time i really went oh, so we’re weird weird here, huh. i mean, with a name like “buggy the clown” being taken seriously that’s when it clicked. AND THEN HE STABS THE STRAW HAT? sir you’ve crossed a line. luffy’s gonna chop chop your head clean off and drop it in the ocean.

- when i got to the syrup village/kuro arc i was like damn, how long is this battle. oh you fool, you pathetic fool. you knew nothing.

- jango got sent after some kids to go kill them and like. not for nothing but if i had a nickel for every time someone went after a kid in this show ...

- ok but when kuro was doing his whoosh whoosh invisible move or whatever the hell it was, why didn’t someone just get out a stick and trip him. fight’s a lot shorter then.

- zoro’s backstory thus far is just here’s his friend! and now she’s dead! he has no friends but he has a dream! he + the others need therapists.

- see when we got to sanji i knew him!! i remembered this man. 4kids also gave him lollipops instead of cigarettes. lolly suckin’ loser. love zeff too. between the anime and manga i’m not sure which canon i want to lean into more: him severing his foot to save sanji, or him eating it.

- mihawk fight!! the way luffy SCREAMED when zoro nearly got slashed in half and the weight behind “i will never be defeated again. YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT, KING OF THE PIRATES?!” ohhh these two boys in a dinghy. there are a lot of promises being passed back and forth.

- the don krieg fight! idk that guy was just annoying. not much else to say about that aside being glad when it was over. also hilarious how for each of these fights everyone took their turns. like no, no, like mihawk and zoro fight, and then we’ll go next. and meanwhile those not involved are just pivoting to watch each fight.

- i feel so bad for baby sanji. i still want to study the grown man like a bug, but that baby has been through a lot. (hey, so, does this show hate kids or something.)

- arlong park! ok this was the first arc that really shows how deep the story can get, i think, or at least the first glimpse into it. this was more than “i took over this town to get some money.” this was using a young child to get something he wanted and her using him in return. and she had to work for the man who murdered her mother! who he shot right in front of her and then laughed and dragged her away!

- zoro beat up a bunch of fishmen because he got BORED. luffy told him to wait and “what do you do while i’m gone?” “wait for you to get back” except there are bodies everywhere

- NAMI STABBED HERSELF IN THE ARM SO MANY TIMES how does she not have serious muscle pain after that? AND THEN LUFFY GIVES HER HIS HAT. that’s the first time we’ve seen that one. oh my god

- also zoro is still heavily wounded from his fight with mihawk, arlong rips his bandages off and even he’s shocked he’s alive, nami and the others are horrified, and then luffy just fuckin’ tosses him into the ocean

- luffy’s secret move in a boss battle is just to piss them off. what’s the difference between their species? idk, noses? he’s going to break arlong’s. AND HE DID.

- luffy: “huh, maybe we should get a doctor on our crew first instead of a musician.” zoro, getting his innards sewn back in: “why do you say that?”

- he’s so excited about his bounty! good for him. he’s a wanted man.

- i like this smoker dude. seems like an okay guy.

- roronoa “can i borrow money but also jk i got two swords for FREE” zoro who has so much debt his credit score has plummeted. he’s never going to be able to financially recover from this.

- usopp v daddy fight. words i didn’t think i would say and yet.

- only luffy would nearly get executed and treat it as a “WHOOPS LMAOOOO” only to have an act of god save his life.

- the millenial dragons arc. oh my god. why does apis SCREAM LIKE THAT. they spend five episodes going back and forth to two different islands. “is this the right one? oh jk actually it’s the one we just came from.” is this what hell is like

- because sailing UP a mountain into the grand line makes perfect sense

- THE WHISKY PEAK STORY AHHHH the first moment where luffy jumps to conclusions and zoro doesn’t get a chance to explain himself, but also why should he have to? and luffy yells that he’s going to kill him? they’re supposed to trust one another implicitly! since day one! and then luffy punches him in the face and he’s not holding back and neither his zoro

- luffy says “i’m going to beat the shit out of you” and zoro says “go ahead and try” and nami says “WATCH THIS”

- love that vivi’s like don’t say his name too loud! and luffy immediately goes “who, CROCODILE?”

- an island with dinosaurs. because it just makes sense.

and that’s about caught up to where i started blogging during little garden

the rumors are true my friend and i will definitely tell you about my top 5 op scenes

BUCKLE UP this will be LONG

disclaimer: i dont think im going to label them in any particular order though it’s too difficult

THE FIRST SCENE that comes to my mind is one that plays in my mind literally every day at some point. it takes place after marineford, where luffy is in his recovery process. one of the days he’s being all negative and stuff, calling himself pathetic and weak, all that jazz, and that irritated our boy jinbei. the moment itself was when jinbei straight up THROWS luffy against a rock and says, “I know you’ve lost a lot, and I know it hurts, but what is it that you still have?!”

once the question was able to absorb itself into luffy’s mind, he calmed down and began counting on his fingers. i DEADASS remember CHOKING when he started doing that!! EACH FINGER COUNTED AS ONE OF HIS CREW MATES!! BOY!! i was so, SO emotional at this point because i realized how much luffy really loved his pals and how much he needed them and GOD the flashbacks that went along with this moment just threw another heap of angst at me.

imagine a lanky brunette in a boxing ring. then, imagine the word “angst” body-slamming this poor brunette gal into her own grave. that was me

the flashbacks had a pure little moment for each individual crew mate, and they were all just saying his name the way they always would as they were doing things that they would always do and it just ruined me. i missed the crew so much, and to see them brought up again in this kind of instance was so different and so eye-opening and so beautiful. also the music that went with it in the anime was so beautiful and the true breaking point was when luffy shouted “I WANT TO SEE THEM!” rip i want someone to love me like luffy loves his crew

THE NEXT SCENE I CAN THINK OF IS 100000000000% SABO’S RETURN. i think that does a lot of explaining for itself. everyone had theories that he would return and i halfheartedly believed them but MAN OH MAN WHEN IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED MY LIFE FLASHED BEFORE MY EYES 78 TIMES. i am STILL trying to get over it. i dont think i can elaborate any further with this scene i think it’s just safe to say that this reigns as one of the most iconic scenes in this series. jesus leapfrogging christ. sabo is COOKIN my guys. wait ok i also wanna throw in the moment where sabo actually ate ace’s fruit holy shitbiscuits and gravy, batman. that was incredible. you bet your ass i cried.

my next favorite moment of mine is all thanks to mr. grassy ass himself, roronoa zoro. i knew zoro had a kind of bond with luffy that was somewhat on another field than everyone else’s throughout the course of the series, but when he faced kuma for the first time and sacrificed himself for the sake of luffy, i realized that this man’s loyalty stretched much further. i was so astonished that this stubborn boyo was so willing to throw away his dreams for the sake of his cap’n, ESPECIALLY when it was zoro himself who said that “if you get in the way of my dreams, i will not hesitate to get rid of you”. even when sanji came and tried to turn the tide, zoro still wouldn’t take that shit. no way, no how. if he wasn’t letting luffy get hurt, there was clearly no way he’d allow anyone else on the crew to get hurt. gosh, sanji. what r u doing. he took ALL of luffy’s pain and STILL stood on two feet after. what an absolute legend. i want someone to love me like zoro loves luffy rip

next moment, four words, “I WANT TO LIVE”. to summarize, there was a point in time where i felt like i was invisible to everybody. i would allow my ass to get beat by life on a daily basis, and i just had no overall motivation to do anything anymore. i felt so useless to everyone, and boy it was so hard to find people that would tolerate me. but when i witnessed this moment with my own two eyes, it honestly changed my entire perspective on my life. it made me feel like i had a purpose!! we all knew robin had one hell of a rough childhood, and she never really felt like she belonged anywhere, and of course, not a lot of people liked her because she was different. she was so used to the feeling of being alone, but the goddamn rubber boy comes along and completely obliterates the darkness around her. he introduces the feeling of being loved to her. his words allow her to be reborn into a brighter world, and when i saw that happen, i knew that i should probably keep on keepin’ on as well. i knew that maybe soon, i’d find friends who will truly care for me. here i am today with the friends i’d always dream of havin. thanks luff. robin, keep being you. u are beautiful. luv my pals. also i rly loved how luffy declared war on the entire freaking world bc of her. u know what im gonna say now: i want ******* ** **** ** **** ***** ***** *****

this last moment is really dumb and im mad at myself because i KNOW there’s a better scene, but since i cant think of it, i’m going to say that the davy back fight event with zoro and sanji holds a special place in my heart. it was golden all around. i have not a single complaint. ballman sanji lives on in my heart. though in all honesty im a slut for zoro and sanji combo moves since it rarely happens, so when i saw them absolutely DEMOLISH those bitches by using some dope combo moves, i YELLED. i am still yelling. quite honestly i am still yelling about 97% of what has happened in one piece thus far.

i hope this isn’t as messy as i think it is. it’s hard for me to talk one piece even though i love doing it; i always end up rambling. nonetheless, i hope u enjoyed this a bit!! thank u for such a monstrous yet amazing ask, pal! :D
