Fun facts about moray eel teeth! 🦷
Morays typically have two rows of teeth in their lower jaw, but their upper jaw often has three! There is one extra row going down the middle.
All of the moray's primary teeth are basically there to provide extra grip. As ambush predators, they're content spending a very long time waiting for something fast and slippery to pass by... generally, unless the prey is of the big/strong/fighty variety, one bite is all they need~
Eeeverybody already knows about pharyngeal jaws. If not, this post is probably not for you... move along, sane person...
But here is a cool detail you may not have heard, fellow weirdos!
Morays, despite being opportunistic buggers who can and will eat everything, sometimes have specialized diets. You can see this by examining their teeth. Morays who eat more fish, octopi, squid, and shrimp have sharp, pointy, dagger-like teeth--for taking out bites, or for grabbing and holding before the pharyngeal jaw does its thing.
But some morays mostly eat crabs, mollusks, and other hard-shelled critters. These have evolved broader, more-rounded teeth, specifically for crushing rather than shredding their prey.
The teeth in eels' pharyngeal jaws match their primary teeth! Bitey-toothed eels have pointy pharyngeal teeth, useful for grabbing trapped prey and dragging it into the throat.
Meanwhile, smashy-toothed eels have yet more smashy secondary teeth, so they can grind all the way down~

I love teeth. So much. I don't know how to deal with this whole thing, as it is hard to go to an orthodontist without feeling pleasure, sadly. I don't want to freak them out so I hide my attraction, but I wanted to hear the opinions of other odontophiliacs. Should I be more open about this attraction? Is it okay that I like licking my teeth and feeling the bumps and ridges in like a weird way? I have so many questions.

hey my beloved freaks, genuine question here, because i'm curious if anybody experienced this problem before
how do you deal with having difficulty engaging in kink involving teeth because your teeth are "bad" in some way?
examples:
- i would love to do more and harder biting, but i get the compulsive fear of my lower incisors being ripped out with how flimsily (or at least it seems so to me) they sit in the gum
- i love love love the idea of having my teeth examined, but if that were to happen i would get super embarrassed and anxious (not in a fun way) since, well, ive got cavities and some pigmentation and halitosis (bad breath)...
plus im generally insecure about my teeth but any kind of praise towards them wouldnt feel genuine because, well, it is an objective fact that theyre misaligned and uneven (despite having worn braces in the past) and not in a healthy state ):

i just know rook is an odontophiliac who loves exploring your teeth. feeling every groove with his fingers, licking them, even biting them. he also gets super turned on looking at and feeling the teeth marks you leave on his skin after biting him.
while he’s mostly obsessed with your teeth there is a part of him that likes the idea of you being turned on by his. rook’s transfer to pomefiore showed a shift where rook started to believe he could be just as interesting and beautiful as those he loved to observe, so he is delighted any time you want to study him in some manner. i think he would like having you use a dental gag on him (like whitehead or jennings)

ok but like can we just.. the scene where she’s on all fours and starts retching like a cat/dog about to puke.. when they arch their backs up and down like that.. and then the amount of white puke she brought up was insane.. and the close front shot of her puking with her eyes kinda rolling upward/closed and her cheeks puffed from the force.. my favorite aspects of ellie are her most inhuman traits - anything animalistic is my bread and butter (honestly the main reason i adore zombies so much is their lack of humanity, the line that separates them from a person is just so good to wrap your head around)
and the way she drags herself across the kitchen floor, half human, half demon in that instant… MAN it gives me feels and so much inspiration for her character. and YES the way she looks so helpless and pitiful and scared while she’s puking, she was probably terrified in that moment and it’s so fucking like, good and upsetting to think about omg
as for writing it, probably some body horror-ish nasty stuff, i headcanon she forces reader to hallucinate a lot just to be the mean fuck that she is - maybe she forces reader to feel that really shitty feeling you get right before you throw up, just to fuck with them, never actually letting them puke, just wallowing in the feeling of nausea 😮💨 ooorrrrrr she’s just disgusting and knows how much you adore her and will do anything to please her, so some good ol’ puking on you type stuff occurs… man i would really have to put a warning on this one LMAO
