i got my very first tattoo yesterday and i'm soooo happy with it! looking forward to getting some more, too!
this is a quote from Detroit Reawakening, an @octopunkmedia film. i chose it not only because it's a cool quote but also to remind me that i do, in fact, feel more than i sometimes allow myself to. also the original version of the film is what brought me to the octopunk comunity and it's impacted my life for the better so it felt like a fitting choice for a first tattoo ^.^

Posting here in case any of you didn't see Maximilian's story on Instagram, but he just started a GoFundMe after his partner of two years (that was at the Octopunk event too, letting Maximilian sing love songs to him) stole his identity and drove his credit down 200 points, then broke up with him a few weeks ago. thinking about nines just finding any excuse to have his hands on gavin- he looks relatively tired? piggyback.
it’s cold? he’s huddled up to gavin, elbows linked.
his hair is mused with sleep? he’s brushing through loose curls with careful fingers and flattening the sides for him at the kitchen counter while gavin nurses a mug of coffee.
working over lunch at the DPD? (pre-absolution) nines is thumb-swiping crumbs from the corners of gavin’s mouth, despite gavin’s “disgruntled” whining and shoving at his hands.
they’re swimming over the summer? nines is armed with a bottle of sunscreen and nagging him about it until gavin caves and lets his lover rub the lotion into scarred, slightly freckled shoulders and as a result, gently rouse a now half asleep gavin, basking in the sun and nine’s caring touch.

I just watched Detroit: Reawakening and omfg, loved it. I deadass was grinning so much I swear to god these two are just so AHHHHH ❤️
Though when they fought I nearly cried; the acting was mwah beautiful.

Two years ago, Michelle Iannantuono posted the Detroit Absolution script to Patreon. She explained why the script could never be made into a film, and they were all perfectly understandable reasons. She's handed over full creative reign of this work to the Octopunks, and so, here is the start of of a comic version of the script I've been wanting to make.
Yes, the whole script. No, I don't know how often I'll be posting new pages. But the whole thing will eventually be done. Enjoy!

Have you ever heard of Octopunk Media? Michelle Iannantuono is a queer ace writer and director, and all her films (and her one novel so far) have tons of LGBTQIA+ characters. Her spouse Austin Byttes, also ace, composes all the soundtracks and co-wrote Seven Deadly Synths.
Her Detroit:Become Human fan films (Detroit:Evolution and Detroit:ReAwakening) in particular center on a gay asexual character, and no one has a problem with that part of him.
Seven Deadly Synths actually says the word asexual in regards to the respective character. There is quite a lot of queerness in the 13 minute short; hopefully they'll be able to make it into a feature film someday.
All the shorts are available free on YouTube, as well as trailers for the distributed features. Check them out.
I've gotten a few ace recommendations from other people recently. Definitely going to look into this and hope others do too. I'll be posting the other recommendations soon as well :)
