Ren the King was no more. Stripped of his title, stripped of his crown, stripped of his castle. Power and diamonds taken from him by an army of hermits, lead by the Soup Group and given back to the people. Most of Ren’s knights had turned on him. Bdubs had charmed (flirted) his way out of punishment somehow. And that left Ren, well, alone.

After Ren was declared de-throned, no one quite knew what to do with him. So, he was set free, told to never enter the crastle ever again. And although it wasn’t meant to be a real punishment, it was.

Ren slunk back to his tiny doghouse at spawn town, and that’s where he stayed. The revolution paranoia was gone, replaced with a dark purposelessness. Even GigaCorp had withdrawn for the time being. He knew he deserved this pain, because as his mind grew clearer, he realized how power hungry he’d really been.

He kept his head down, only ventured out when he needed more food, and otherwise stayed in the doghouse, which only seemed appropriate, given it all. He didn’t know how long it had been since the revolution after a while.

“How do I convince my friends to love me again?” Ren whispered to himself.

An answer, perhaps not the one he had asked about, but the one he needed answered, came in the form of a knock on his door.

“Hello?” His voice was rough from disuse, and he opened the door to find Pearlescentmoon standing before him, holding out a piece of paper. “What’s this?” Ren asked, taking the paper and reading the three letters on it.

“It’s an IOU. An IOU from you to me, actually.” Pearl said. “I can’t even remember what for now, it was so early on in the season. But I’d like to cash it in now.”

“Cash it in?” Ren looked at her, confused. “I have nothing to give. I have nothing.”

“I know.” Pearl took a deep breath. “For this IOU, I want to help you. You owe me a favor. This is what I want.”

Ren looked down at the note, and then at her face. The same face that, only a few months ago, had been set with grim victory, with a sword pointed at his chest. The demoness from a past world. Pearl.

“Why would you, one of the soup group members, want to help me?” Ren asked. “After all I’ve done?”

“It’s not a want, I’m exchanging my IOU for it.” Pearl corrected him. “And, first of all, my guy, your doggie scent hits the nose from like thirty blocks away. And also, fam, you’re not, like, evil. Sure, the power went to you head and you corrupted yourself. But to spend the rest of your life in a tiny doghouse? You’ll ruin yourself. We don’t all hate you, Ren. You’re our Ren! We gotta have our buddy back. I wanna help you help yourself.” Pearl smiled, and held out her hand. “You know how I’m the trash lady? Well, I can also recycle mad kings into good ol’ Rendiggitydogs too.”

Ren smiled, and took her hand. “I think that would be nice. Thank you, Pearlescentmoon.”

here is what i know

music both tears me apart and sews me back together the lyrics are the thread in the needle made of steel strings and backing tracks

i find myself and what (who?) i want to be in between pages of books about twelve year olds on missions and nineteen year olds looking for love

if i could have what i want i might not have anything at all

i am not my mother's daughter and she has no idea

i was meant to spend my weekend doing research on abortion for an expository essay, due at the moment i step foot inside room 206 on tuesday october 4 2022, at approximately 12:20pm

(instead i spent the past day and a half losing myself in horror stories)

i am afraid to be next - next to die, next to live, next to succeed, next to fail

i write so that other fourteen year olds can find themselves lose themselves in words

someday (soon) i will make an unretractable unchangeable choice and i will live with it for as long as i live and i won't know if it was right or wrong until it's too late too late to take it back too late to regret too late

On this day, October 12

In 2022: My Chemical Romance performed their 55th show of the 2022-2023 Swarm tour in Inglewood, California, USA. At this show, Gerard Way wore a red "black sheep" sweater (a design also worn by Princess Diana) with a black neck-scarf, and two tally marks were drawn on the drums. The majority of the songs performed at this show were from their second album, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge". (🖤)
