Good grief I have many an oc… I’ve spoken vaguely about my mains online BUT I keep it vague for privacy stuff lol. The main set are from a story me and a close friend began IRL years ago that was all but abandoned after the pandemic. They aren’t really into it anymore so essentially I’ve been given free reign over them. However… I have no set plan on what we’re gonna do. We both love art so we’ve considered making it into like a webcomic or a book but neither of us know. It’s just this series stuck in my head. I keep things vague with them love in case we ever do get around to making this a real published thing (also because I am… 60% sure said friend has a tumblr and Do Not Want Them To Find Me.)

I respect Rebel Moon's sole purpose of showing us funky sci fi settings. I just think The Croods did it better.

#In terms of characters/story Rebel Moon gave off the impression that it was a summary of a campaign from a discord roleplay server #all the characters have cool backstories mentioned in passing. because your oc has to have a cool backstory #whether or not you have the time/energy to rp arcs/resolutions to your backstory's story #and you've gotta get all your friend's characters in on this campaign because it's fun!#so the movie is the arduous process of Getting The Gang Together #General Titus didnt lead BECAUSE he didnt NEED to lead. that was just the watsonian reason for picking him up!#the REAL reason they wanted him in the guild is that he's the server's meme mascot. i bet theres a custom emoji of his glare #the robot didn't come along because his player dropped out of the campaign #everything is warhammer 40k themed because the server creator liked the aesthetics but hated the mechanics so they just made their own thin #that Noble guy survived falling from a stupid height as a compromise between mods and his player because he whined so much #shitpost #rebel moon #the croods

#seriously they look almost unrecognizable everytime I draw them help #especially Corunir but I think I know what the problem is there #see there's two designs for him that I love right? the one Poetry Draws made and the one Dr Pumpkins made #they're both amazing but they look so different from eachother #so like my dumb brain is trying to draw both at once and it Does Not Work #so every time I try to draw him he looks like a totally different character #I just can't decide which one I like more Poetry draws version of him looks So Soft and huggable #and Dr Pumpkins' version of him looks SO cool and is more accurate to his in game appearance and also looks huggable #I think maybe the solution here would be to make up my own design for him instead of trying to base drawing off other people's versions #but I still want some consistency y'know?
