Failure is a bitter pill to swallow. ⁣ ⁣ My teammates did amazing during the OCRWC Team Relay! They each completed their legs quickly and with their bands. ⁣ ⁣ Unfortunately during my leg of the relay, I was unable to get through Gibbons after many attempts, and I surrendered my band. ⁣ ⁣ So despite getting through all the Team obstacles quickly, that one failure prevented my team from having 100% completion. ⁣ ⁣ Really stings knowing that I let my team down. Jason Burgess (dad to Jim) aka Jas, a new gr8ful Associate. . I first met Jas through my hubby Si and I see him regularly training at the track when I take my kids to train. I love getting to know people and I was amazed to discover Jas is a World Champion! . Let me tell you a bit about him... . Jas is a retired boxer (Midlands lightweight champion) & he played football in the senior league. A few games for Leek town Buxton Telford. . His recent achievements are... OCR World champion VET won in Canada OCR European champion 2018 VET won in Denmark OCR World champion 2018 won in London I came 4th in 2021 in the Spartan world Championships in Abu Dhabi VET . He as also won all of the men’s health survival of the fittest races (Open) Edinburgh/Nottingham/Manchester/Cardiff/London & winning a number of the rat races OCR. . Weirdest workout today... Mountain biked 45 minutes, Then hid the bike in the woods and ran 52 minutes. Felt unusually tired so I sat on a rock ate some snacks and then... FELL ASLEEP! For 20 minutes!!!.
