Many much a time later, an updated list of my npc designs I fished shared a bit back! Right now it's sitting at a whopping 40 characters, with 11 of them having first and second game half designs (something that I only plan on doing for the younger npcs, and most of them are done already!). I've been struggling for a hot minute about how to go about describing each of these characters in a quick and easy manner but there's no casual way to do so. The first version has most of them named and described already and if anyone has questions about who or what role a specific one is meant to be my in box is open, but by and large all of the new ones added probably fall under the umbrella categories of "small child you can babysit, occasionally with a noted augment" or "wormhole orphan".
I had a whole thing about the spreadsheet that accompanies this that isn't ready for public sharing yet but tumblr decided to eat that paragraph, so theres that :T. Anyways if anyone else has need for a full landing roster for both ships + about 20 years of theoretical/possible-dependent-on-timeline post-game kids (not even counting any of Sol's), keep your eyes peeled for that niche monstrosity.

Okay, this tree took a while. There were 130+ blogs to catalog, and that was monumentally slow to do. I hope it doesn't take this long for the next tree. Also- ignore my paltry web design skills. I've attempted to input a more dyslexic friendly font option (I'm not dyslexic myself, if anyone with dyslexia wants to inform me if it is better, that would be great), but I'm honestly not that great at HTML. If any JQuery wizards want to help with a few things, I would owe my endless gratitude.
What's next?
After this big tree, I need some quick projects. I'll most likely update Alphidae, then move to the Potatoes or Snoms- haven't decided yet.
Some notes:
Although there have been some questionable things acted out in this family, I do think it has crafted some pretty interesting ideas. @/the-false-sun and @/the-dungeon-core are some of my favorites.
A quick description of the genera:
Systema - Blogs that emulate part of the game system.
Spectaculum - Roleplay blogs contained within or related to the system, usually as some sort of character.
Actus - Roleplay blogs that fit into the box of a conventional video game NPC, or acting as players within the game.
Faventia - The fandom focused blogs of the EPPRBCU.
Moderatus - Blogs emulating the moderators, tech support, and developers of the game.
Lastly, if any of the blogs present think they deserve a reclassification or have a suggestion to improve this, do not hesitate to notify me.

Persona 4 Pachinko Hell
I have (finally) registered for Sega Sammy's 777 Town online service which lets you play from their catalog of digital pachislot and pachinko machines. Persona 4 is one of the available machines.
When you start the game, you can select a character to use as an avatar (there's the IT + human Teddie + Nanako to pick from), and that character will also become the machine's voice over.
Then you start "playing" and a billion silver balls rain down from the top and go into the holes on bottom. If a ball lands in the correct hole, then you get to spin the slot machine, which looks like this:

The objective, more or less, is to match 3 numbers on the slot machine, but the machine throws a billion animations, probability events, etc, that make it way less straightforward than playing a regular slot machine with reels. The blue Persona cards on the bottom of the screen here represent how many pulls I have at the slot machine.
Gasp there's even animations and character art of Funky Student and Ms Sofue:

The player randomly travels around the Inaba world map like in-game. These animations of the map and the protagonist walking around a location on the map play while you are rolling balls and collecting slot machine pulls:

When you're at the Dojima house, the slot changes to Nanako and she dresses up as everyone:

When you get 2 of the same number on the left / right reels, then the game enters "reach" mode, aka "Almost Jackpot" cause you're 1 number away from winning a jackpot:

And what happens then is an animation will play where the number you need is dangled in front of you and the RNG determines whether you get it or not. And of course, you never fucking get it because fuck this game!!!

Some of the events and animations that play when you hit the Almost Jackpot include:
The crossdressing contest where Yu winning = number you need and Teddie winning = wrong number.
A character fighting a Shadow where they use an attack to "fight" the number you don't need, then they usually fail to defeat the number cause yeah fuck RNG.
Kanji trying to knit a stuffed animal, and he botches it entirely so you get the wrong number.
Etc.
I triggered a "hidden" game mode twice, which led to Amenosagiri coming out and filling the town with fog:

During fog mode, the background changes to a remix of The Fog that goes pretty hard, and the slot reel characters change to everyone's Shadow (except Narukami; he just puts his glasses on cause lmao there's fog out).
ANYWAY, I met Adachi's NPC randomly at the Central Shopping District!

I've never played pachinko before but this game pisses me off because I very quickly understood that the unique animations and "everything is fully voice acted" is definitely part of the appeal (it works on me, I'm pathetic). Also I'm salty that there's a remix of The Fog is LOCKED TO A RANDOM PROBABILITY EVENT IN A FUCKING PACHINKO MACHINE SDJSDFJLSJKF.

CP2077 Vanilla Photomode: Clipping Through NPCs
Okay, finally managed to snag footage of me actually doing the thing where you clip through NPCs. So for those of you who are wondering how I take all my kissy pics and weird group photos in vanilla photomode on ps5, this is it. And feel free to do this, it's why I'm sharing in the first place! Even if you don't have a full-rig gaming pc setup and aren't running mods, you can take cool pics too! It's possible!
The Corpo Plaza apartment has a pretty ideal setup. Only place this works is on the couch, but with the sitting area being depressed and there being a railing placed conveniently a little above head height, I couldn't have asked for more. It's a little tricky trying to get the full catalog of poses to populate since it's not a flat surface, so you'll have to mess around with the exact positioning and probably hop in and out of photomode a bunch, but if you haven't tried this before, much easier then the Glen apartment...
And in theory, this works in other locations and with other NPCs too! You just need to make sure there's 1) objects that are roughly head height in proximity to your NPC 2) you have enough ceiling clearance to adjust the up/down slider on poses and 3) you get all the action poses to populate in photomode.

Figure out what pose works best for the kind of shot you're trying to take, rotate the camera, exposure and contrast adjustments, frame the shot so you can't see the gun Grandpa is holding, or the weird thing she's doing with her other hand, and voila. Bob's your uncle.

Early NPC
In footage from 1992, an unused female NPC design can be seen in Fourside. This NPC uses a very similar sprite to Paula's mother but with some differences, most notably, her hair being brown instead of yellow.

Yknow this is another thing that I've been chipping away at for the past few months (and if you're in the LQ or Exo Creator Servers you've Definitely seen me share these before) and haven't posted on Tumblr yet; it's the current WIP of my attempt to give every named, mentioned, or heavily implied to exist character in the game that doesn’t have a canon design! Default Replacement Text for Good and Evil Traits
So my game just assigned the Evil trait to an NPC. “Evil” is a pretty heavy word, hence why I rarely use the trait myself; the Good/Evil trait thing also feels too much like an alignment system, which I don’t particularly like. What’s a modder to do? Replace the text, of course! For other simmers like me who dislike the implications of those terms, I’ve uploaded my replacements here (SFS).
The Good trait is now called Generous - that is the only change I made to the name and description. Evil, however, got a moderate description change as well as becoming the Devious trait. Its catalog text now reads “Devious Sims take great delight in planning the misfortune of others and prefer to lead a life of scheming and manipulation.” Reference to liking the darkness was removed, because I see no reason why dark automatically has to be bad. I like lying in a darkened room and practising mindfulness. Besides, racist overtones much, EA?

The Ork Influencer, a Better Ork Archetype for Shadowrun (1st Edition)

This recent spate of archetypes was inspired by the art of @skullchicken, and when I saw the above images, your first thought might be “Ork Rocker”, but I opted against that because:
The Rocker is the most useless archetype of all time.
I’ve already made an Ork Rapper.
Instead, I’m stealing an idea from the excellent 2nd Edition Podcast Pink Fohawk and the NPC of Faye Feelzall, who is the Sixth World version of a Social Media Influencer. It admittedly could be better if I included some cyberware from the Street Samurai Catalog, but still sticking with core rulebook. They will be moderately cybered, focusing on cybereye/ears and filling a surveillance niche on the team. In addition, they will be the first character I’ve ever made that has followers:
“As many as five archetypes come when you call. Roll 1D6+1 to see how many are available at any time. They are willing to die for you. They have standard Archetype Ratings and Cyberware, but you supply the gear.”
Emphasis mine.
Because let’s face it – makes sense for an influencer.

Build-a-Veteran v1.0, for creation of higher-ranking Garou
Hello friends! I thought I would share this tool I made to provide another method to generate higher-ranking werewolf characters (in addition to the ones from Werewolf Storytellers Handbook Revised and Rage Across the World W20).
Build-a-Veteran v1.0
It's a trait-distribution model (more similar to the WSHR method than the RAtW one) based on average trait levels I derived from cataloging all 672 statted werewolf characters I could find across the gameline's history. In that regard it can produce Garou that wouldn't look out-of-place in a sourcebook.
Hopefully it can be a useful alternative for making NPCs or even PCs for a chronicle of yours if you find the WSHR version to be a little muddled or the RAtW one to be a bit overwhelming!
It also has a system I devised for determining rite levels known for such a character. That may be of use to you even if you like one of the other systems, because neither addresses that in a practical way to my knowledge. The following is a spreadsheet that streamlines the process.
