Vacay In The Outlands
The start of Grandpa's vacation in the Outlands. (Just for the record, she hates this dress. I made her wear it though.) It took many attempts to traverse the fence to get on top of the checkpoint, fell off a bunch of times but we finally made it across the border.
Travel tip - Make sure you have plenty of eddies! Vehicle insurance is ridiculous out here!
After the border checkpoint, we arrived at Langley in style and all V got as a souvenir was posing with this stupid giant coin.
Turns out that metaphorical void I kept talking about in my fic is actually real! Right underneath NC, who knew? Wonder where it goes. Wonder if it'll eventually just consume Night City.
Made it to the very scenic town of Yucca (where you start out as a nomad). Construction standards in this place are even worse than in the city.
Grandpa went skinny dipping in Star Lake and Laguna Bend Reservoir. Refreshing but bring your decontamination gear. Got some really nice candid photos at Star Lake.
Saw many strange and alien sights in the Outlands. The work of aliens? Or perhaps the technonecromancers? Perhaps tyromancers with computers?
Climbed the crane across the canyon and got a bird's eye view where they filmed Hell Lake 3. After enjoying the view it was time to head out though.
Said farewell to an old friend along the way.
The fortress Grandpa stumbled across was not conquerable. She tried. The wall was too high to parkour over, even with a makeshift step stool.
Is that how baby trucks are made???
Grandpa trekked far and wide across the map and eventually made it to the Oil Fields.
Also found out why the area has a million EPA violations.
Grandpa took a moment to enjoy the view at the end of the road and the last peaceful moments of her weird vacation.
Back to Night City! (To find some AC and change out of that stupid pink dress.)

I haven't written at all since I wrapped up SIG, but I've got a jumble of notes for the Les Preludes series I'm hoping to start working on over the summer. At some point. The final arrangement of these short stories will be in chronological order but I'm getting the vibes that they may not be written chronologically. We'll see how I'm feeling. I've got a lot of backstage prep work to take care of. The follow up to SIG, I wouldn't expect to see anything until the end of the year at the earliest.
(There is a random piece of smut that's been floating around in my head that I don't have a good place to put in the next long fic, so I'll probs be throwing that out there too at some point. Ghostie's first solo smut, let's goooo!)

WIP Whenever

Writing
Quite literally nothing has happened in this department since I finished So It Goes two weeks ago. Taking a bit of a forced writing sabbatical because my work schedule has been insane (and will continue to be insane until August, summer's my busy season) and I've just had a bunch of random social/housekeeping things I've had to take care of on my weekends. Hopefully things'll settle down soon.
I've got a lot of smaller projects on the back burners at the moment that I've been mulling over, but I haven't had the time to do any actual writing. Been jotting down notes when they come to me though. I also need to go back and give SIG a polish too (and take notes lol), there's a lot of formatting and continuity things that need to be fixed.
And I'd like to try out some other writing software/apps. Google Docs is great for working across multiple devices and any general word processor is fine for shorter writing projects, but considering how massive SIG ended up being and the likelihood that Part 2 Electric Boogaloo is probably gonna be a similar length... It'd be nice to have something that's got a wider array of tools, better file organization, and won't crap out on me after hitting a character limit.
(If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them! I've got a couple of candidates so far but candid reviews would be appreciated.)
VP
Still taking VP even though I haven't booted Cyberpunk up in like three weeks. I have a substantial backlog to work through and have the tail-end of the base game missions to post still. I am currently at the beginning of PL again and did take photos of the main missions getting into Dogtown. Got some pretty epic shots if I do say so myself.
Gardening
Trying to see about getting my front yard and my hellstrip converted into a pocket prairie! This is the preliminary design, which makes no sense without the plant list, but hopefully once this gets approved by my HOA I can start working on it. I'm planning on doing my own installation, so this'll definitely be a whole summer project.
Reading
I've been very slowly getting back into reading again! It's been nice. Mostly non-fiction books I can get away with reading at work, but I'm coming around to read folks fics too. It's just finding some free time to sit in my new reading chair rn...

I finished chapter 11 and need to edit/revise but my brain just hasn't been in the mood for it.
Here's a chapter 11 excerpt. You can get a hint about who Rivka is if you search for the first line in all caps in the Hanukkah fic
Cheri didn't look up from her computer when she saw V. He was such a frequent flyer for so long she knew him by the sound of his footsteps. She merely motioned to the device on the counter, prompting him to jack in. V thought about Bea, how she felt and how she smelled, how she looked, the color of her hair, the softness of her legs, the shape of her breasts.
A beeping sounded in his head and four headshots were displayed on his retinal field. Angel and Skye were who usually showed up. They ran into each other at Riot a few months after Evelyn's murder where he explained himself. They flirted and parted on good terms. Two new faces were displayed underneath the other two portraits. One was a beautiful Hispanic woman with gold eyes and purple hair, and the other was someone that looked almost exactly like Bea. But even in the small frame, he could tell it wasn't really her.
He selected that photo and a name popped up underneath, "Rivka".
"Rivka just started. I'm sure you'll like her," Cheri said. Professional politeness, she didn't actually care how V felt. He stashed his pistol and knife in a locker before passing through a scanner. He walked to booth 5 and gently touched the glass door. It slid open without a sound and he stepped into the dimly lit room.
Got more of the collab smut outline done that I'll put under the cut. I hope to learn a lot from the person I'm working with (I admire their writing a lot also sorry idk if you wanted it public or not yet) and write better smut in the future
Starts coming back from a gig, Bea has a slash on her shoulder, V has a minor GSW in his hip
V got impatient and rushed in, outnumbered but both dispatched all. However, they weren't supposed to kill the target.
Start in the weapons room, bickering and bandaging each other up, each being rough to make it hurt. Bea's bloodlust dips in and wipes up his blood with her finger (you could have her sticking her fingers in his mouth, maybe with a little mean quip)
V does the same with her slash but jerks her face towards his with his fingers inside her mouth
Heal their wounds, go to the couch to relax and debrief. She’s in a tank top, pants, and still wearing shoes, he’s just in his boxers. Start nitpicking and blaming each other. V says something about her combat skills like she relies on her smartweapon too much and it would have gone a lot smoother.
She punches him (where?) not hard enough to do damage but hard enough to make her point, she stands up they exchange a certain look where they’re not actually mad and need to release the rest of the tension and adrenaline before they can go to sleep
She starts quizzing him about guns (I can research this) and every answer he gets wrong she slaps him which just makes him hard, visible bulge, etc
He gets snippy and she throws him to the floor and steps on his bare chest, painful but hot, leaves a print, quips about like watching his back, how he’d die without her, how she could move her boot up to his neck and kill him now. She puts more of her weight on him and he’s starting to struggle to breathe a little.
Grabs her legs and flip her back, cracking her into the table and scraping her side. He is on her fast and pulls her shirt up to lick the blood
She slams her palm into the GSW making him roll off her. While he’s recovering she gets undressed and orders him to sit against the couch where she then kneels on the couch to ride his face BUT he’s a complete teasing little shit which she loves but pretends to hate it and he’s just enjoying/shoving in her face how much he can control her
That riles her up and she drags him to the bedroom and throws him on the bed to do the same, her teeth DEFINITELY scrape his dick a dangerous amount and he’s really fucking annoyed and also genuinely a little scared

I'm really horrible at table top rpg games of any variety and I've played dnd like twice. (literally the world's most ridiculous campaigns) Tried doing this for Grandpa, got chaotic neutral which I think tracks but the little class quiz I did said ranger, but she's got horrible aim lol. She kinda ended up looking like tomb raider or something. The picrew had cargo pants at least and a smol rat friend!

Howdy, you can call me Ghost (she/her) and welcome to my digital haunting grounds.
This blog’s been a lot of things over the years, but, as of right now, it’s primarily my repository for whatever catches my fancy and Cyberpunk 2077. I refuse to make a sideblog, so if you’re not up for all my shenanigans, know that I’m not keeping you here. I’ve gotten pickier about who I’m following these days and don't always do follow for follow. Nothing personal, I just already have a hard enough time keeping up with people on my dash, but I know my regulars. I see you!
You don’t have to be a mutual or even a follower to interact with me though, I’m down for tag games and my inbox and messages are always open. (You can’t ask anonymously because I do require a return to sender address.) Almost all of my posts and reblogs are scheduled or queued. I may or may not be online but if you leave a message after the beep, I’ll get back to you eventually.
I like to keep it organized around here and prefer to tag my posts (weird notes included) for archival purposes and batch queue stuff, so expect a delayed reaction on almost all of my reblogs. If something’s not tagged it was probably an accident. I’m not great with buttons.
