Not to skk post on main but that scene from Dead Apple made me insane for I think a slightly different reason than most...
Ok so. Gonna be honest. When I first watched this, the ah... positioning... did not occur to me at all, other than thinking "that looks really uncomfy :/".
I was too focused on what Dazai's hand does here. He first pushes him. Ok so he was trying to stop him from getting up and losing contact due to the fog. Cool. That serves a practical purpose.
But then Chuuya falls unconscious and Dazai's hand loses that contact for a second before he lowers it back down to rest on his head.
The thing is, there's no need for him to do that. Chuuya is already in contact with Dazai's legs and his ability works through clothes. Moreover, it wasn't just a continuation of pushing him down - there's a slight delay before he sets his hand back on his head.
He sets his hand there just because. And, due to the delay/hesitation, it appears to be a conscious choice to do so as well. Chuuya's out. There's no one around to act for.
I watched that and went holy shit that's genuine, isn't it? It's such a simple gesture of fondness, maybe even a bit of protectiveness, but it means a lot from someone as emotionally closed off as Dazai.
It's... weirdly sweet. He appears to have done it after Chuuya lost all his friends (again...) during DHC in the manga adaptation too, which is... :(
And now, with seeing Dazai immediately start playing with Chuuya's hair in the latest Fifteen adaptation, it also doubles as really funny to me. He saw a chance to touch his hair again and took it. What is wrong with this man.

I had a dream about Ren and Akechi being roommates/both living with Sojiro after the bad ending last night. (Despite the fact at least one of them should be dead)
What had happened and to who had been made public in the trials (idk how Akechi got off scot free) and people at Le Blanc were all like "isn't it kinda awkward/awful to live with someone who literally shot you???"
And Ren was straight up just like "I told him to do it" and shushing/nudging Akechi when he tried to say anything

Let's get uhh...constructicons/Prowl (for the ask thingy)
Don't ship it.
Why don’t you ship it?
The biggest reason is that nothing about the situation was healthy for Prowl. Not only did he become part of Devastator in the most traumatic way possible, but the time afterward was physically and psychologically harmful for him as well. Outside of that, there just isn't much for me to ship there? Prowl sees the Constructicons as a weapon and the Constructicons are just fanboys (up until the narrative decides Prowl needs to be utterly alone and they drop him like a hot potato). The whole situation was incredibly wasted potential.
2. What would have made you like it?
A different writer.
On its own, Prowl being forced into Devastator isn't a deal breaker for me because the Constructicons weren't the ones responsible. They did decide afterwards that they liked Prowl and wanted to hang with him, but until then, he was never even meant to be part of the team; just a disposable test subject for integrating someone new with an existing combiner. And I do honestly get the appeal of, "You were disposable to them, but not to us". Goodness knows Prowl needs someone in his corner. Heck, I can even get behind the angst of "this situation is physically hurting Prowl, but none of them - including him - want to stop".
So the setup was great. Super unhealthy, but you can do some pretty interesting things with unhealthy. But as they say, the devil's in the details.
See, I like the Constructicons. I do not like the way John Barber writes them as an interchangeable amalgam instead of letting them have some individuality. And I really don't like how he tried to resolve that conflict with earlier portrayals by saying that combining "rots away the individual". I like the idea that the Gestalt mind affects its components, not the idea that it supercedes them. I also don't like Prowl's recent instability being ascribed to the combining process and not, y'know. The traumatic events surrounding it. But we get this explanation from Galvatron, who delivers it alongside lies about Prowl killing Spike's father, so I can ignore it. I can pretend it's just another lie.
What I can't ignore is that Arcee doesn't hear this and think, oh, maybe it's not Prowl's fault he's been so erratic lately. Maybe I should see if he's okay when I get a chance. Nope. She just turns on him completely. Because the post-Dark Cybertron arc is the "let's tear away what little support Prowl still has" arc.
So I don't like how the Constructicons were written, I don't like the in-universe explanation for how they were written, and I hate the way everyone saw Prowl falling apart (including people who dared to call him a friend, Optimus), and just went, eh, I don't really care. He's just bad. And then, just to make sure Prowl loses everyone, the Constructicons turn on him too. Because apparently they can spend time in his head and like what they see, but it's still somehow a surprise that the mech who tolerated them because they were useful might not actually want them the way they want him.
Get these mechs a different writer.
3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
As I mentioned above, the setup is great. It had a lot of potential, not just in terms of the relationship, but for character development, worldbuilding, and even the introduction of something like chronic illness with Prowl's physical health being affected by combining (again, he was introduced to the team as an experiment in adding bots to a combiner. It would make perfect sense if it wasn't an entirely successful experiment).
I also like a lot of the art and fics I've seen for them, even if most people seem to ignore the inherent angst in favor of sweet, funny, and fluffy pieces. I just wish more people dived into the physical and psychological impacts, whether in a shippy way or not.

what are your age hcs for tatsuki and soutarou? and misc hcs for urotsuki?
Gonna be blunt, head is a cluttered junkyard and I'm a rambler with zero self control when right conditions are met [you ask about Special Interests]. plus am tired and really out of it from work cause we had inventory and i ordered too many lunchables [oscar mayer can go to hell]. Will do best to make this coherent, or at least intelligible, but apologies if it's a bit of a mess.
Age Headcanons [If we're going for what they are in game]
Short answer: Soutarou is late 20s-early 30s, Tatsuki ranges between 15-18. [tho ofc when I draw shippy stuff it's an AU and they're both early 20s]
Long answer: Actually thought about this on and off a decent bit and could never really get more than a vague, "Somewhere around this area" for them.
Soutarou is somewhere between late 20s and early 30s. He's old enough to have experienced some shit, try to get clean and back on his feet and get some manual labor experience, and have that ripped from him. Plus some time to isolate and have those thoughts wreck havoc on his mental state.
Tatsuki on the other hand is messier and harder to really give an age to. They could be a kid escaping into fairy tales to avoid reality, or a young adult [18-20] that was forced to grow up too fast and is now suffering from dealing with their fractured identity [have thought about Debris endings occurring around Tats 18th birthday, because they have the "You're not a child, so why do you hold onto such stupid childish fantasies?" thoughts to go on top of everything else and it sorta just breaks them.]
Misc Uro Headcanons
Big Deep angsty Uro hc/kinda what shapes her core for me
You might've heard the quote, “I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what it’s like to feel absolutely worthless and they don’t want anyone else to feel like that." by Robin Williams. This more or less summarizes my view of Urotsuki at the core. She may not be weighed down by what other dreamers have gone through, but she knows what it's like to be trapped in darkness and though it may not show, she is doing her best to make others happy because she doesn't want others to go through that. [side note: this is huge part of reason for shipping her with Tatsuki. Feel like they'd be the same, tho Tats is way more introverted. That angsty, "You see through the smiles or notice the little things and softly nudge me to say you understand and are there." sorta thing].
Going off that; for the longest time have hc'd that Uro has struggled with an ED and self image issues in the past and a big part of why she loves food and is okay with being herself, and is so supportive of others doing the same, is because she had to fight to get to where she is and is doing her best to make sure others can simply see the joy in life without experiencing the hell she went through.
More lighthearted/Uro's a goofball hcs
Uro is somewhat lactose intolerant but keeps getting sick because she won't. fucking. stop. eating cheese. Or questionable foods in general. "It smells alright so it's probably fine." [narrator voice: It wasn't fine] sorta things.
Probs mentioned this one before but eh, Uro and Sou are one of few dreamers with a drivers license, and Uro's driving doesn't exactly leave most passengers feeling safe so Sou is constantly stepping in when she offers people a ride. The two bicker at each other like an old couple a surprisingly good bit when eyes aren't on them. This paired with them both being older and able to get drunk makes for quite a scene. [Sabi's laughing, Tats is on the floor trying and failing to hide it.]
She did have a dedicated dream diary at some point, but during a depressive period would start to fill and decorate it with random stuff [silly doodles, poems, stickers , ect], and it's now more like a thought scrapbook or therapeutic outlet for her. Pages that are just her jotting down memories that make her happy have little sticky note bookmarks so she can flip through them when feeling down.
Her head is a mess and all over the place, and her counting sheep is like a ritual she semi-depends on to fall asleep since it gets her to focus on one thing and relax [its a sorta behavioral dependency that if she was somehow barred from doing, she'd probs stress out and not be able to sleep.]

Crazy how any time Midoriya or Bakugou have been drawn with other characters in a "potentially shippy" way, BkDks are like "eh, cool". They're real chill.
Hell, the third movie was practically about a love story about RoDeku (I'm joking, calm down, folks) and I don't recall BkDks freaking out. I'm sure some BkDks probably acted out because Bakugou wasn’t in the movie as much as we thought he and Todoroki would be, but the majority was like "cool movie" or whatever.
But ooooh! Anytime Bakugou and Midoriya is drawn in the same panel and don't even be looking at each other, others want to start a whole riot. They send death threats, cursing, calling others slurs, foaming at the mouth from anger and it's ridiculous!
Like don't they ever get tire of acting out like that? Isn't it exhausting to be so toxic? If you really hate something that much, do you really want to put all your energy into be that cruel to others?
Why not draw fanart of the ship you do like? Or write fics? Maybe go back and look at the content that is provided for your ship in canon?
Honestly, if BkDk makes you that mad... just drop the series completely. Just drop it. Give yourself a break.
To act so brutal to other people? That's not good for anybody, no one benefits from that.
In general, no matter who you ship, attacking others is NEVER okay.

Hey guys… so I wanna take a break from critiquing Viv and just want to share some art for fun.
Though, I’m actually nervous to. Because part of it is mainly gonna be oc x canon stuff as well as ummm… writing dark headcanons of stories of certain characters….
So I had want to tackle the serious topic oc co*rcion similar to blitzo and Stolas, but it involves one of my ocs. But I also wanna talk about purity culture, it’s harm, and I’m basically wanting to do my take of Heaven and headcanons I have for it.
And ummm these dark headcanons I have involve Adam… yes admittly I thought the idea of Adam being the leader of the executioners was extremely stupid and the leaks I’ve seen were eh… But let’s just say he somehow warmed up to me and I found a way to make him slightly intimidating.
Actually my friend @samiliy4me has been doing headcanons and ideas of Adam and we’ve done a lot of roleplays and omg… the way she writes him is so sinister yet fun. We’ve done roleplays of him with our Angel ocs and it’s been giving me content to do things with my Angel oc
She also did amazing headcanons for Mammon and keeps him an asshole in our roleplays which also gives me content for my hellhound oc.
Now that being said with things concerning Adam, my main thing with him is to criticize toxic masculinity within Christianity and all the Republican Christins that use religion to harm others. While my Angel girl and others badly want to help restore heaven with the New Testament. I’ve been watching history of Christianity and how is slowly because something republicans used for evil (when it wasn’t always like that )
So yeah… I may touch on a sensitive topic with Adam and one of my ocs… but here’s the thing, I am NO WAY gonna romanticize this relationship. Some of this is based on personal experience to help me cope with trauma.
And I know how many antis in the critical blog tend to act like babies over things like this.🙄 Thing is I get it, Viv doesn’t know how to properly discuss this topic without separating her n*nc*n kink. Besides, he’s not even the oc I’m gonna have my Angel end up with.
But I’m also scared shitless of the fandom taking mine and a friend’s take on Adam super personal because me and her refuse to sugarcoat him or do draco in leatherpants. Like the idea of him fascinates us and I rather actually write him being A villain Same with Mammon since we refuse to woobify them.
Now don’t get angry fandom…. I actually may redesign Adam…. BECAUSE GOOD LORD HE IS A PAIN TO DRAW. THIS IS WHY FANS REDESIGN. ITS NOT ALWAYS IF MALICE ITS JUST HARD TO DRAW SOME DESIGNS. I’m gonna do the same for Lute since she also looks tedious.
I won’t change to much of his design but I may change his horns and give him some skull mask.
Also I’m gonna make Bee into a bug/canine hybrid and make her be a princess while her mom is the actual queen since I love that idea Lovearts made.
And possibly do shippy stuff with her, Tex, and Loona… I’m mainly an oc x canon and self shipped but idk I feel like this OT3 can help me develop Loona as a character.
Do you guys care to see these ideas I have? I really don’t want this fandom to get the wrong idea of me as well as the critical community.
I don’t always agree with critical takes and I try not to jump the gun with every allegation if the evidence is flimsy. BUT this doesn’t mean I like Viv as a creator and the spindlehorse as a company since I do believe there’s mistreatment and Viv is kind of toxic.
But hey, I love Ren and Stimpy and hate John K. Been a Catscratch and earthworm Jim fan and hate Doug TenNapel so separating art from the artist is not gonna he that hard for me.
I’m still a fan at the end of the idea and these roleplays and such I’ve done with friends gave me fun art ideas.
But yeah would you guys care if I share this stuff?

A smidge late but of course I gotta jump in for CubScar Week! Day 2: Redstone/Terraforming. Cub asks Scar for some help with maintenance out at Total Chaos. This one's not particularly shippy, just a couple of kisses at the end. :3c
Cubfan135 whispers to GoodTimeWithScar: Hey are you free? I need some help out at Total Chaos.
Cub put his communicator back in his pocket and continued making a circuit around the perimeter of Total Chaos while he waited for Scar to arrive, making sure every dispenser had enough of the appropriate contents. He'd just finished and jumped down in front of the entrance when Scar came into view, and Cub took a casual step to the side as a flame arrow embedded itself in the wall only inches above one of the many boxes of fireworks. Well, that could have gone poorly, thought Cub, and wondered how big the resulting explosion might actually be.
"Dang it!" complained Scar, landing a few feet away and putting away his bow as he approached. "Maybe I really am losing my touch." He frowned at the arrow, looking more despondent than Cub wanted to see.
"There, there." Cub patted Scar's arm. "'Hotguy' or not, you'll always be a hot guy."There, that was better, he thought as a smile returned to Scar's face.
"So what do you need help with?" asked Scar. "Is it terraforming? Please tell me you need some help terraforming and you're finally going to cover up whatever all of this is," he said, gesturing at the rows upon rows of exposed redstone parts.
Cub laughed. "Not today my friend. Come with me." He led Scar inside and up the scaffolding to the arena. "Stand over there," he said, pointing at a corner.
"I already don't like where this is going," sighed Scar, but moved over anyway.
"Hah, I'm not Grian. Feel free to dodge anything that comes your way," said Cub. "It's encouraged, actually. ...Did you set your spawn? Eh, doesn't matter too much," he shrugged and went back down the scaffolding, hearing a splash potion break open and a surprised yelp from Scar. He went back to the redstone lines outside and began his inspection.
Group? buzzed the message from Scar on his communicator, and Cub put in his earpiece. "Cub, there are scary things in here!" complained Scar immediately as soon as Cub was in the call. "How long am I supposed to stand here and not die? I can't see a thing!"
"Ah, whoops. Meant to give you a night vis," said Cub. "Can you move to the east?"
"Which way is – okay, got it," said Scar, and Cub moved down the line at roughly the same rate he assumed Scar was, keeping an eye on the redstone lines as he did so.
"So far so good," said Cub. "When you get to the next corner wait a sec while I check some things."
They made their way around the entire arena that way, and once in a while Cub stopped to make an adjustment to the redstone. He listened without much comment as Scar rambled about whatever came to mind, punctuated by the occasional yelp or complaint when he took damage from arrows and potions. "Shulkers, Cub? Really??" Cub smiled to himself at how indignant Scar sounded. "Great, now I'm levitating, and I'm going to oh geez there is lava, Cub, there is lava above my head and I'm headed right towards it! Cub!"
"You'll be fine if you only got hit once or twice," said Cub. "It should wear off right about - " There was a short scream and a thud over the com. " - Now."
Scar groaned, more annoyed than hurt. "You suck. I hope you know that."
"Yep, I do now, I guess," said Cub, and frowned at a repeater that was in the wrong position. He put it back as it should be before continuing down the rest of the wall and back to the entrance. "Okay, you can come out now." He put his earpiece away and met Scar at the scaffolding.
"What was even the point of all that?" asked Scar, rubbing at his arm and following him outside. "Just wanted to make me suffer?"
"Wanted to make sure all the redstone was stable," said Cub. "And you can break any contraption just by being in the vicinity. It's a great stress test."
"What? I do not!" argued Scar, sitting on the nearest shulker box.
"Yeah? How's that storage system working for you?"
Scar opened his mouth, closed it again, and settled for crossing his arms and pouting. "Rude. Okay, maybe – maybe! - you're right, but still. Rude."
Cub laughed. "Hey. Scar."
"What?" he grumbled. Cub leaned over and kissed his cheek, and Scar blinked. "...Nope," he said after a beat. "Still mad."
He wasn't, and they both knew it, but Cub rolled his eyes and kissed him properly anyway. "Better?"
Scar pretended to think for a moment. "One more," he said, "and I want lots of cuddles tonight."
"Unbelievable. I'm being scammed," said Cub, and leaned in for another kiss.

How do you guys feel about Azul x Riddle and Azul x Leona?
Since we don’t really care for Leona, Azul x Leona is eh alright, I guess? It might be fun, there might be some potential; I really do love that Azul is still bitter about what happened with his contracts, and he is definitely the one to hold onto a grudge for ages, so any revenge scenario would work well with them.
And Azul x Riddle is actually quite enjoyable! While we haven’t explored the romantic aspect of their relationships, visually they’re pretty interesting, and character-wise have a lot in common, but at the same time are different enough to have an interesting conflict fueling their relationship. Well, a conflict from Azul’s side, for the most part, because Riddle apparently makes him insecure about his academic achievements lol I’ve talked about them a little bit in this reply, but in isn’t very shippy, just me ranting about how I enjoyed their interactions in chapter 6.

I'm not actually sure where Ratchet/Ironhide and Mirage/Hound came from either, but I've seen some older fan content of them that is definitely the aesthetic of the sunbow cartoon rather than the comics and while their content is sparse— it's actually a lot compared to some of IDW1's rarepairs, it's just a matter of looking deeper but it definitely exists
As for why, my own guess would be that:
• Ratchet and Ironhide are both given the grumpy old man treatment and people enjoyed the thought of that shared aspect of theirs bouncing off of each other. A recurring scenario that I've gauged is Ironhide fending off Ratchet's wrench as he is roughly repaired while Ratchet grumbled about Ironhide being irresponsible, though I don't actually know where that common denominator came from or originated
• Mirage and Hound have "similar" abilities, to the point people argue about Mirage's name to this day (especially with the release of Rise of the Beasts) so they're almost inherently linked on the down low in that manner. I'm somewhat certain that they may have had a short moment together in the sunbow cartoon that wasn't necessarily too “shippy” but people have gone on less so eh
I was not aware that Ironhide blatantly said he loved Optimus in IDW1. Even if he didn't mean romantically, that's usually a detail that would have fans brought up because Optimus' close bonds with his team has always been something close to the heart of fans— his close friendships cross-continuities with Jazz, Ratchet and even Prowl are usually noted or brought to attention. However, IDW1 Ironhide blatantly saying he loves Optimus hasn't, which is a bit disappointing because as you have graciously pointed out with panels there IS substance for a romantic lens
I can't remember if IDW1 Ironhide was Prime's bodyguard but I'm pretty he was in G1, the bodyguard trope is a pretty sought after in romance and is a common AU that features in fanfiction so there were "shippable" aspects to the two even back in the sunbow cartoon. Ironhide's role as Prime's bodyguard as opposed to a High Command role like Jazz, Prowl or even Jetfire/Skyfire (in some comics he was Autobot Air Commander) would allow him to be around Optimus a lot and presumably he'd gain an understanding of him that is different and/or deeper from everyone else. The position would presumably allow Ironhide to become more intimately familiar with Optimus, opposed to those who would be more likely to maintain a barrier of professionalism such as Prowl and/or Jazz
LMAO if those are the reasons those ships were popular that's hilarious. Real "they sure are standing next to each other" energy! I do remember these pairs interacted in early episodes but I didn't consider the interactions to be significant... Ratchet did threaten to disconnect Ironhide's vocal components if he kept complaining while being repaired though I believe!
And I know, right?! I would think if people want to ship Optimus with someone, looking to the person who outright said he loved him would be a good place to start, and Optimus's and Ironhide's relationship involves many tropes fans usually like in ships. The thing is, though, I think I know why people don't talk about their bond in IDW1—it's because after a certain point they just never really interact intimately again… there's nothing really from the later phases of the comic that people prefer. IDW1 dropped characters and relationships a lot. Like, does anybody remember how Sixshot was a super big deal and a main villain but then disappeared forever and was said to have died off-panel after, like, a decade of not being in the comics?
Ironhide was canonically Optimus's bodyguard in IDW1! He mentions that officially being his job in some panels I didn't put in the post. So it's actually even more official than it was in the Sunbow cartoon, in which he definitely acted in a similar capacity.
Though one of my favorite things is that there are just as many moments of Optimus protecting him ^_^ They really care about each other!
I really do think Optimus shared the most close and intimate moments with Ironhide out of all his friends in the Autobots. ...And if it turns out people don't talk about this because Ironhide is fat and masculine or something I'll be so mad....

i love fh in 3rd life. love it. loveee beloved. … i dont like empires fh- like i did in the moment rly like it bc its very cute but the payoff felt kinda ‘eh we gotta do this bc we started it’ and i dont think it rly felt. like. natural or fun. idk that sounds like a weird way to say it but.
i like empires fh the way id like any cute shippy thing. lots of fun moments and seems really sweet but im not super invested in it. 3rd life has ruined fh for me
