> You were having a day, and Diluc could tell. As he grew closer to you, he learned your mannerisms and could read you like a book.

“Is... everything alright?” He asked you one night. The two of you were alone in Angel’s Share, and you had come to get away from your troubles and calm down, even if you weren’t planning on having any drinks.

“...Everything’s perfectly fine.” You looked up at him, picking your head up and meeting his eyes. He studied you. Even with sadness laden on your features, you looked beautiful to him.

“If you say so.” He said in return, going back to the glass he was cleaning. Silence blanketed the two of you for a few moments, before you finally broke it.

“I lied.” You said softly. “I’m not alright. Nothing is alright right now.” Your voice came out as a soft whisper. It was laced with pain- pain that stabbed him in the heart sharper than a knife. He kept his straight face, though, not even looking up from his glass.

“Would you like to talk about it?” He asked you. You shrugged.

“Not really. Can I just... have a hug?” You asked, looking up at him. You knew he would probably say no. Even if you two were friends, he was never affectionate with you, at least physically.

You waited for a few moments, but he didn’t respond. Silence filled the bar, broken only by the sound of his cloth rubbing against the wine glass he was cleaning. The squeak of the wet cloth filled your mind as you put your forehead back down on the counter, seeds of disappointment growing in your stomach, blooming into tall trees of heartbreak.

The silence didn’t last long, though. In a moment, you felt a pair of strong arms wrap themselves around you. A weight pressed itself against your neck, and you could feel warm breath tickling your skin. Fluffy red hair touched your jawline, and your senses were filled with the scent of wine and old books. No words were said. Nothing was spoken. All you did was turn around in your chair and wrap your arms around his neck.

The two of you stayed that way for quite a while, just existing in each other’s warmth. Diluc was on cloud nine. He had dreamed of this moment ever since he met you. The way you felt in his arms made his heart soar. You fit perfectly in his grasp. The both of you fit together like a puzzle, and he knew this was meant to be. You were so soft, so comfy to hug.

“...Are you okay now?” He asked, his breath tickling your ear. You shook your head.

“Don’t let go of me. Please.” You pleaded. His response came in the form of a tighter hug and the gentlest, most unnoticeable kiss on the forehead.

Maybe your day wasn’t terrible after all.

> The fight stung, and it stung hard.

Of course, neither of you wanted it to get out of hand, but it did. Until you were hurling insults, sharp as knives, at each other, stabbing each other with your words and cutting each other with what you said. Things lasted until you ran out of the house in tears, and Kaeya, not even crying, went to the bar to drink off his pain as he usually did.

The fight was all his fault. He was never open with you. He would always hide his true self behind a wall of smoothness and flirting. You were fed up. You two dated for a year. He should be comfortable being open. So you yelled. He only responded with a cool smirk and a kiss to your lips, complimenting how cute you were when you yelled. And this only made you yell louder.

Now, you crumpled beneath a tree, sobbing your eyes out. Were you not good enough for him? Was that why he was never open with you? Guilt filled you to the brim, spilling over in the form of tears rushing down your cheeks. If only he knew how you felt. You tried to explain that to him, but he wouldn’t listen. He never listened.

Meanwhile, Kaeya downed his third glass of wine that night. For him, it wasn’t that much. He was used to drinking much more, and he probably would. After all, his guilt hung high in his mind. He felt horrible. You were mad at him, and it was his fault, and he knew that. If only he knew how to show it. If only he knew how to open himself up. After all the abandonment and hurt he’s been through, it seemed only natural to wall himself up, to protect himself the best he could. He just didn’t know how much that would hurt the ones he loved.

Minutes turned into hours, and hours turned into days. Days without speaking turned into a week. A week, and you couldn’t take it anymore. Your boyfriend of a year hadn’t so much as spoken to you in a week after your fight. You were upset and heartbroken and hurting. And so, you decided to visit his brother and your close friend, Diluc.

“How is Kaeya doing?” You asked in a sarcastic tone, knowing the answer would probably be something like “he’s doing well” or “he’s great”. You knew the brothers never got along well, but Diluc still saw him around.

“You haven’t heard?” He responded. His words spilled confusion in your mind.

“Heard what?” Suddenly, you grew worried. Even if you two had fought, and he was ignoring you, you still loved him quite dearly.

“He left on an expedition to Dragonspine, and hasn’t been back in about a week.” He looked at you, furrowing his eyebrows. “Why weren’t you aware? Didn’t you know? He is your lover after all.”

“I- No. I didn’t know. We.. had a fight. I’ll talk to you later. Thank you.” You said quietly. You just needed some space to think this over. Diluc only nodded, understanding completely, as you walked out.

So he just left you. Just like that. He just got up and dipped on an expedition without so much as letting you know. You sunk to your knees and sobbed.

Just then, a pair of familiar looking boots entered your peripheral vision, shielded by your hands over your eyes. You looked up to meet the shiny blue eye you knew very well. His cool smirk was gone, but it was Kaeya. And man, has he looked better.

He was limping and supporting his weight on the tree you sat beneath. His lip was split, and you could see a massive gash in his chest, the blood dotting through the bandage he had wrapped around him. In his hands, though, he held a bouquet of those pretty blue plants only found on Dragonspine. He knew how much you loved them, but you could never find them because Dragonspine was too scary a place and you didn’t want to go.

You didn’t know what to feel. You wanted to yell at him for leaving, yell at him for not contacting you, hug him and kiss him and thank him for being safe and thank him for the flowers, and you wanted to cry seeing his injuries. The only thing you could bring yourself to do was stand up, fall silent, and wrap him in the tightest hug imaginable.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything. I... will work on being more open. That’s a promise, my love.” He whispered, threading his fingers in your hair. It was a short apology, but it was the best he was able to give.

The flowers dropped in your arms, but the only thing you wanted in your arms at that moment was your loving boyfriend Kaeya, back and ready to try his best.

And so he kept his arms around you for quite a while, his head buried in your hair, ready to try again, ready to be worthy of such an amazing lover as you.

oh BOY, back in my hq phase i had a Dream Turned Fic where two characters marry but accidentally piss off a magic creature that curses them into turning into monsters and as the fic progresses one becomes more and more ravenous that at the end his husbands gotta put him down and right after that the creature that cursed them in the first place appears and gives the surviving guy the antidote as he cries for his dead partner, it was brutal, it was GREAT and i still love that fic so much lmfaooo

hm... i want to think i come up w/ cool concepts? and when I have a grasp of character's voices i think i make some pretty good dialogues :)

i am Not Good at long fics, not bc i cant plan a whole thing but bc its extremely hard to stay motivated enough to finish them :/ also i suck at writing domesticity or normal settings bc u know i love suffering ♥

what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

its a complicated issue. bc the thing is, ppl that are billingüal most likely will mix and mach those languages when talking or thinking, and putting that in a fic isnt a bad thing, but when ppl that obviously only know english do it without any sense of structure its literally cringe worthy, im literally wincing here, its painful

if you dont mean peppering words and straight up writing lines of dialogue in another language then fuck yeah that sounds great! if you know what tf you're saying

written AND finished? A tie between Sweet Irony (martin/elias, sort of unrequited attraction on Both sides considering its two scenes w/ years of difference) bc i like elias being struck down by his own hubris and also martin being horny lmfao, and Desperately Safe (peter/mikaele, mikaele taking a rest on peter's pocket dimension of loneliness while resisting the urge to just, stay there) bc i love sad lonely men in love u_u ♥

sorry abt pkmn hate or w/e but i will never like regional variants U_U i always think theyre wasteful at most and pointless at worst like.... no i dont need this k@nto pkmn reimgined as a barely modified design when u could just make a Whole New Interesting Pkmn.... ill alwyas be mad tht gen 5 had this cool all new p0kedex with ONLY NEW pkmn with older gen ones only being released after u beat the game and then..... never implimented a system like that again like ESPECIALLY seen in swrd and sheild like they MAYBE had 40 brand new non regional variant form pkmn and like... obviously not blaming the ppl actively coding and working and designing the game bc between crunch time and w/e stupid decision Big N1ntendo makes its not their fault but i am so sick of current pkmn games. the past 4 games or so have been complete disappointments and im just at my limit w the series at this point im done throwing away $60 for a half finished low creativity game im done w it

Exactly. The show’s great for visual references (Harry Shum Jr’s rendition of Magnus Bane is my frikkin religion, pass it on), and some of the stuff they add/change is pretty neat, but I had a feeling they were never going to catch up to the books. U_U I didn’t expect the show to go and get effing cancelled though, and not so soon, and certainly not over stupidness.

And the crazy thing is, I heard there’s been talks for a Shadowhunters spinoff -- only it’s for The Infernal Devices (Tessa, Will & Jem’s story). Literally the spinoff NOBODY asked for. >_< Where the EFF is the Dark Artifices spinoff, or even better: THE BANE CHRONICLES SPINOFF!?!

Urgh, I’m so mad.

Also I understand your frustrations. Honestly, knowing Cassandra's TMI world, it is so diverse and has a lil of everything and everyone. And I honestly can't think of any other story that suits perfectly well for the lgbtq + community!

The representation is insane. There’s literally a character and/or story for all the LGBTQIA letters included. Malec is legendary and iconic and everything wonderful, but Gwynburn I feel is up there, too. And Raphael Santiago being confirmed as Asexual was another amazing move, too -- that’s frikkin rare for pop culture tv/film, and seriously needs to be explored more.
