BOOM! IT'S FINISHED!!
after so long, it finally done and dusted and ready for public release :3c
LMK SIX EAR MACAQUE SHIMEJI VER 1.0!!
Just click on the big words and ya can download, ye :D
Contains 2 zipfiles: The normal version and less frames version
Read down below for explanations on that
if got any problems launching and stuff, dont be afraid to message me, i'll try to help ya out :>
but as seen in the quick lil poster i made there, it says extra animation + more more info about that underneath the read 👇
from the top,
EXTRA ANIMATION
Same like the SWK Shimeji, this one is has unique frames for each action of the Shimeji. best example is the walk, run, dash actions seen below
Tumblr media
there are other actions that have unique frames like these, you are free to explore them :>
CUSTOM ACTION NAME
There are a few actions renamed in the shimeji code. Here is a guide for what they do:
Take Out Lantern = Mac takes out his lantern and admires it
Create Clone = Shimeji breeding 1
Visit Shadow = Shimeji breeding 2
disclaimer, I plan on making a full action guide list in the future so you can much easier reference what each action does :>, so stay tune when that happens
CUSTOM ACTION
Just like SWK, you may pet the Macaque!! >:3c give the lil bugger all the love he deserves~ (credit to Kilkakon for the original script)
as seen in this gif :3
Tumblr media
Steps to do this action is as followed:
Make the shimeji sit down (any surface is okay, ie work floor/window top)
Move the cursor to the shimeji's head
Make sure it is a hand cursor and not an arrow cursor
Pet away!!
If you want to pick up the shimeji without prompting the pet action, just move the cursor lower until it turns into the arrow icon
NON-SYMMETRICAL SHIMEJI
One more thing that causes this to be my fav Shimeji so far. HE HAS NON-SYMMETRICAL FRAMES. Meaning his black sleeve stay on his left, while yellow stay on his right.
Tumblr media
To do this, Mackie needed much more frames compared to SWK, which might cause him to lag on some devices. Hence why I prepared 2 versions of Mackie here. One with symmetry and one with none
PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE LESS FRAME VERSION TO NOT FRY YOUR PC'S!!
UPDATES WILL HAPPEN!!
just like SWK, this is version 1.0
updates will happen and I am at work working on the next csutom action. But it will not come out anytime soon since it requires me to draw a bunch of more frames again hhhh
BUT DO STAY TUNED >:3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
but for now that will be all for ver. 1.0
many thanks to anyone interested in this project and of course
BIGGEST THANKS TO THOSE THAT HELPED BETA TEST THEM
for privacy reason they shall stay anonymous but
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ >:3
PLUS EVEN MORE HEARTS!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jagged bark digs into the skin of your back through the thin, soft cotton fabric of your shirt. You feel the amber tree sap seep into the canvas, sticking uncomfortably to your back and clinging to you as you try to ease your hyperventilation. The cells of your lungs vibrate with alarm, stinging as you suck in mouthfuls of oxygen.
Get away.
The sunshine thrashes you, your skin slick with the sweat that rolls down your temples. Heat ebbs at the edges of your mind, teasing you with the promise of unconsciousness. Rest. It urges you to let your knees slump, to ease your aching body down to the forest floor and close your eyes for a moment– you can’t. You can’t be certain how far ahead you were or how much of a head-start he had conceded.
Tumblr media
It had been freezing when you awoke, the cold biting your skin raw even as it thawed. A low hum deafened your ears, subconscious tears frosting your coarse eyelash hairs together and forcing your lids shut. Panicked, you had pushed the heels of your palms to your eyes in an attempt to melt the frosty glue, feeling something slippy and thick smear across the skin of your cheekbone.
The metal tang to the scent that pierced your nostrils indicated you were bleeding, pain leaping forward in your skull and forcing your eyes open in your discomfort. Like a mallet smashed over your head, the sounds of your surroundings cracked through your ear drums. A deafening siren screamed, blurring your vision with the intensity of its volume. Glass tinkled against the metal shell of the cryogenic chamber as you’d wearily pushed yourself from the leather seat you had called home for an estimated double solar-cycle. Your limbs were stiff, unused and preserved in ice for twenty-four months.
Green flooded your vision as you rose to your feet, a flashing light on the data pad of your chamber indicating your apparent survival following defrost. You’d been thankful to see your vitals displayed across the screen– you had felt so awful upon waking that you were almost certain you had died.
Relief that had flooded your veins curdled into distress when the data pad beeped, a cursor swiping across the pixels to dismiss the notification of your stirring.
You hadn’t given the scene much notice from then, jittery fear shuddering over your skin and forcing your feet forward. The ship that had meant to deliver you to Somaris was nowhere in sight, but debris pieces of the vessel had lay strewn across the forest floor. Orange embers still glowed within the metal of some large slabs of metal.
The realisation had been slow to arrive, the throbbing remnants of a concussion sweeping nausea throughout your body as you stumbled over the fallen trees. The piercing ring of the alarm continues to circle your agitated mind, tormenting you with the sinking reality of your plight. Stranded on a planet far beyond the solar system you had come from, surrounded by alien creatures you hadn’t seen stored in information holo-pads and without a ship to re-enter orbit– all while attempting to avoid the person who you had no doubt was hot on your heels.
Initially, you had assumed that the scaly, lizard-like animals were causing the snapping of the twigs in the thick treeline of the forest. While some were humongous, you noticed some were of a smaller size. Even the creatures that reached your hips posed a significant enough threat for you to avoid them by ducking behind tree trunks and bushes, their sharp teeth dripping with saliva when they caught your scent.
Whipping around at the sound of another ‘crunch’, you’d caught sight of him. Long, ebony hair fell in strands in front of his face; his brows pinched together in a stalker's concentration. His lips set in a grim, thin line, recharge-blaster aimed directly at your calves. The amber sap that had coated your skin from the trees appeared to have drenched his eyes, irises burning a bright honey colour in the brutal sunshine.
You hadn’t stopped running since, chest heaving as the cells of your lungs screamed at the intensity of your pace. The thick fabric of your flight suit, coated in leather around the collar, was heavy to carry, your legs aching as you’d lept over each of the fallen trunks in your way.
Shuddering at the memory of the hours you have spent evading capture, you inhale shakily in an attempt to ease your thumping heart. It threatens to crack your sternum, bludgeoning the bone with its rapid pace. Even though you’d stopped for some time, dread kept your heartbeat thrumming like the wings of the birds on your home planet, your blood rushing in your ears and drowning out the squawks of the flying lizards, their beaks long and sharp, wings leathery with clawed hands at the joint.
A stream trickles nearby, the running water rippling around the surrounding rocks. The breeze is cool against your face, tickling your cheekbones in a soft kiss. Despite the rustling of the leaves, the babble of the small brook, and the distant hiss of the hot spring geysers, it’s utterly quiet.
Foreboding chills you to the bone, wringing you dry.
It feels off, this delicate balance of stillness. Trepidation crawls up the vertebrae of your spine and prickles your skin with goosebumps. There’s an ambience; thick with something sinister. It coats your surroundings and lingers in the air like unsparked lighting, threatening to pounce.
Your hair stands on end, blood freezing along with the beat of your heart when you hear it; the zooming charge of a blaster.
“You can’t run from me forever.” It’s delivered with an alarming deadpan, his even voice ricocheting off the tree line. You can’t tell where he is like this, your neck reeling on its shoulders as you frantically search the area.
Darting your eyes amongst the bushes, you spot him- his footsteps cautious as he picks each footfall carefully. He’s learnt from his previous mistake, ensuring not to reveal his position with a snapping twig.
You swallow back a whimper, skirting around the trunk of the tree. Palm pressed to your nose and mouth; you hear your trembling breaths as you attempt to smother them. It’s terrifying, the level of noise you make. You’re certain your pulse gives away your hiding spot- that the vibration of the very cells of your being is connected to an amplifier and blasting through the woodlands.
In contrast, your pursuer is almost silent, barely making a sound as he picks through the undergrowth. You wonder how it’s possible for such a large man to make so little noise. He’s so careful, so silent that you pause your breath to listen for him better. Where-?
“Sweet Thing…” you hear him coo, a slight taunt to his voice that makes your nails dig into the tree's bark. Your lungs threaten to scream, ankles promising to buckle beneath the suffocating pressure.
Crouching as low as you can onto the balls of your feet, you attempt to shuffle around the trunk's circumference. You’re careful to test each footstep, feeling for fragile foliage beneath the sole of your shoe before setting it on the floor. You swallow thickly, wincing as the dried leaves rustle quietly.
It’s as though time momentarily stops. The rubber of your heel catches on the roots of the tree, slipping down the curved surface and sending your foot crashing through the sun-baked foliage with a sickening ‘crunch.’
Oh.
Tensing up all at once, your muscles pinch with fear. You fail to suppress the heaving breaths that rattle through you now, sucking in mouthfuls of oxygen and wheezing in terror when you exhale.
“Hmm,” a hum sounds to your left, loud to your ears. You bristle, the seams of your person screaming that you need to move, to run. Instead, you stay rooted to the spot, fight or flight bested by the primal instinct to be still. To hide. The atmosphere shifts, the chill of the breeze twisting to an icy disquiet.
Don’t. Don’t move, be still. If you’re still, he won-
They crawl across the curve of your jaw at first, fingertips creeping along the line of the bone before gently grasping your chin. White hot fear holds you perfectly still as his thumb pushes into the soft flesh of your cheek, the scrape of his knuckles biting into your skin as they purse your lips together. With your feeble attempt to shake him, his grip turns solid.
“Got you.”
His gruff voice rasps against the shell of your ear, lips brushing the thin skin and raising goose pimples across your neck and down your spine. Breath caught in your throat, you barely manage a whimper of response– the sound cracks in your vocal cords and sounds more like a startled exhale.
Your resolve fractures into tiny shards as he uses the grip on your chin to tilt your head backwards. Tension cracks between your shoulder blades at the awkward angle, your muscles straining as he pulls them taut. There’s a tensity at your throat, too, the thew connecting your jaw and neck almost pained by the extreme flex.
Amber. The thin strips of gold lay stark against the pitch black of his dilated pupils, irises merely a slither as the abyss swallows them whole. An eagerness paints his expression, even as his thick, dark brows pinch together in concentration. The hulking frame of your hunter stands above you, neck practically folded over to stare down at your kneeling form. He’s scanning your face, assessing each aspect of your visage and taking in the details. The paw grasping at your face tilts it left and right as he searches for… something.
Again, you wail as you feel his thumbprint dig into the soft flesh of your cheek. It braces against the edge of your molars, prints embedding– branding itself into the skin beneath it.
“Shh-Shh,” He hushes you softly, voice somewhat soothing now as he sweeps his knuckles across your temple and over your cheekbone. “Quite the hunt. Chased you all over, 70652. ”
The five digits of your passenger number ring through your eardrums like the alarms that had alerted you to your crash landing. It flits across his expression, a smug, mocking look as the realisation strikes you between your ribs like a wet blade—the pilot. Commander Mills, you had been told before cryostasis, was a skilled enough aeronaut to deliver you safely to the destination of Somaris. It appeared he had failed his mission.
“I- I don’t-”
“Everyone in the cryo-bay is dead,” he speaks over you, matter-of-fact in his unwavering tone. Your eyelashes flutter closed, confident Mills can feel your pulse pump blood through your veins as he trails his fingertips down your jugular. It tingles, the feather-light touch, adrenaline rushing over your body in surging waves. “It’s just us.”
“Hngg-” you mewl as he crouches behind you, dragging his lips gently across your pulse point as he breathes you in- the scent of your evasion. Soil coats you in an earthy smell, the metallic tang of blood from the scrapes of the thorny undergrowth. Mills groans against your jugular, scraping his sharp incisors over the thrum of your heart while savouring you.
“Aren’t you lucky?” He whispers, gravelly voice barely registering at this volume. Mill’s hand slips down your throat, calloused fingertips tracing down your central points. Your throat, your sternum between your breasts. The deliberate trail has your breath quickening, an underlying threat of danger making the hairs on your arms stand on end. “Lucky that I found you before those creatures did? Hmm?”
The delicate intonation of his question is deceptive. He’s not being kind- he’s mocking you. Still, the enamel of his teeth sinking into the concave connecting your neck and shoulder has you crying out, wetness pooling between your thighs.
“Mhm,” he lathes his tongue over the indents his teeth leave behind, splaying his fingers wide as he trails his palm over your stomach. Need unfurls beneath the weight of his hand, twisting and coating your abdomen when his fingers dip just beneath the waistband of the joggers you had been provided before entering cryostasis. “This... Is thanks enough.”
Heat creeps across the apples of your cheeks as you feel his hand slip further into your pants and wedge beneath your panties. You can do nothing but turn your hot face away from him, squeezing your eyes shut when his fingers brush through the thatch of curls across the curve of your pussy. Mills hums softly, your only warning before he’s sliding the pad of his finger through your slick cunt.
“Shit,” he grunts softly, the tip of his nose trailing up the length of your jugular. “So wet for me already.”
Sinews in your jaw ache at the force with which you clench your jaw, trying desperately to swallow down the moans that threaten to bubble up from your throat. Mills is circling his fingertip just barely over your clit now, the delicate touch coiling a throbbing heat between your thighs.
It’s a subconscious response, one that bypasses your brain and jolts your hips forward onto his hand. You don’t mean to, your fingers sinking into the soil beneath you as your body tenses. It sends a bright, hot arc of pleasure through your body and you wail raggedly, the short-lived friction enough to blur your vision.
Mills leaps.
Ripping his hand from your pants, he grabs ahold of your waist in a bruising grip, flipping you over onto your back harshly. It’s so fast, the world careening sideways. When you land it almost winds you, your spine hitting the ground with a thud. Twigs and rocks dig into your flesh, but Mills gives you no real opportunity to complain when he pins your body down with the hulking weight of his own.
Urgency spurs Mills on, pushing his fingers under the waistband of both your joggers and your panties before yanking them down your thighs. He doesn’t bother to remove them, abandoning them over your shins. They bunch around your ankles, movements restricted by the fabric. Your body is trembling, buzzing with something far from the fear he had originally inspired in you.
Mills is huge. Broad and muscular, when he leans his body over yours he almost blocks your whole line of sight. His muscles shadow through the thin fabric of his shirt, sweat causing the material to cling to his damp flesh. The chase across the forest seemed to have had little effect on his athletic frame, the exhaustion that had afflicted you unapparent when he pushes your knees back against your chest.
“Just look at you. Trembling. Panting. It’s gorgeous.” Subtle cruelty drips from his tongue when he praises you, watching your nipples harden as your folds are exposed to the cool air. Honey irises drag over your sopping cunt, greedily lapping up the view. You shouldn’t be enjoying this, so exposed to a stranger you had been running for in fear of your life just moments before.
“Please,” you beg, pathetic sobs cracking in your throat at the desperation to be touched.
“You’re in no place to be directing me, Sweet Thing.”
Despite his apparent refusal, Mills is pushing the trousers of his flight suit past his hips to expose his cock. Again, he refuses to waste time in removing them entirely, removing just enough to ease himself out of the confines of the material. You only catch a glimpse of his cock before he hoists your thighs over his pelvis, but your heart seizes at the sight– an angry, red tip leaks precum that smears across the inside of your thighs, veins protruding across the large shaft. You can’t fit tha-
God, he pushes the pad of his thumb into your clit and you yelp, seeing stars. A steady, wicked throb of bliss pulses through you as he applies pressure to the bundle of nerves, swiping his print back and forth. It’s overwhelming, and you can’t help the way your hips jolt as you feel him attempt to breach your entrance with the head of his cock.
“Stop moving,” Mills orders, hand wrapped around his dick as he sweeps through your folds. You’re sobbing now, tears welling in your eyes as he continues to abuse your swollen clit. He slips again, dark eyes flicking up to your face when your hips jolt upwards to chase his touch, the build of your impending orgasm catching you off guard with how quickly it seems to blossom. The third time, when the tip of his dick notches the inside of your thigh rather than taking root, his patience snaps.
Mills suddenly draws back from you, removing his hand from your clit before bringing his open palm down on your throbbing cunt with a brutal slap. Pain bows through you, blending seamlessly with your bliss and causes a sharp, high pitched cry of his name to tumble from your lungs. In your shock, your hips momentarily still. Taking advantage of your dazed state, Mills quickly lines his pulsing cock against your cunt and drives home, swiftly ramming into you with an abrupt snap of his hips.
A haggard gasp rips through your throat at the sudden intrusion, the painful stretch of his cock cracking through you and making your eyes roll back. Dirt cakes under your fingernails as you grasp feebly at the damp soil, trying and failing to find any kind of purchase to ground yourself.
“Take it,” Mills orders, his gruff voice impossibly reaching lower octaves as he pushes his length further into you. He sits back slightly, his eyes almost pitch black with how his pupils swallow them up as they settle on your cunt. Fascinated, he watches your lips stretch around his girth and paint his protruding veins with your slick. “Make it fit— Shit!”
His crude growl scrapes your eardrums as he bottoms out inside of you, hips flush with your own. You can’t breathe, feeling as though he’s big enough to settle amongst your lungs. You heave shallow breaths, your head pulsing with mind-numbing dizziness.
Then he’s moving. He drives forward at first, reaching depths inside you that make your abdomen ache before pulling out of you. The stark emptiness he leaves you with is short-lived, thrusting forward and stealing what little oxygen you had swallowed down.
Heat simmers through you with each shred of the head of his cock against something blinding inside of you. It gives you no room to think, to move, the cruel pace Mills sets. It’s merciless, pummelling into you and driving you up across the forest floor. “Fuuuuck, that’s good,” Mills groans loudly, holding on tight to your hips to prevent you from sliding away from him. You sob brokenly, hitting his chest with the heel of your palm as you struggle against the orgasm that’s practically hurtling towards you. Christ, his dick is so hard, ramming through you and pushing up against your cervix and causing a delightful ache.
The wet sounds of him thrusting into you are obscene, slick and desperate as he begins to pull you down onto the snaps of his hips. Fat tears stream down your cheeks, collecting in your hairline as you sob his name over and over.
“Look at you,” Mills practically snarls, eyes set on the bulge in your lower abdomen and in awe of what he finds there. Fuck fuck fuck. You can see him, see the outline of his cock driving in and out of you through your abdomen. “Mine.”
Through your haze, you feel Mills press his giant palm against your abdomen, feeling himself twitch and thrust inside of you. His forehead drops against your shoulder, hips beginning to stutter as your walls flutter around him.
It’s overwhelming; the intense pace, the brutality of his thrusts, the way your clit brushes against the pubic hairs on his lower pelvis. You sound fucking wrecked, wails spluttering with each devastating rock of his hips.
“Aha-ah- ohfuck,” you babble, eyes rolling back as your body curls inwards. You’re burning, tightening, your orgasm creeping across the pit of your stomach. “I-I’m gonna-“
Mills groans loudly, and your back arches suddenly when he bites into your collarbone. His teeth sink into your flesh, hard enough to draw blood, and the pain shoves you right over the ledge you’d been dancing over. You cum with a scream of his name, clamping down around his cock as ecstasy surges through you from head to toe. Your vision blurs, hearing cuts out.
“Shit,” you hear him spit distantly, despite the close proximity to your ears. Mills’ hips push up deep inside of you, his body lurching and trembling as he cums inside of you. It feels, even in your altered state of consciousness, like it takes forever. Milking him endlessly, his breath shuddering against the wound on your clavicle as he gently grinds into you to ease himself down from the high.
There’s no movement, no sudden release of your body and flopping to the side. Mills stays stuffed within you, your mixed cum dribbling down the inside of your thighs as he squeezes the flesh of your hips with his palms.
Your sobs of his name had been loud, noisy enough to draw in all kinds of lizard creatures, but Mills seems insistent on remaining like this, scraping his teeth across the curve of your shoulder and beginning to rock into your swollen cunt again.
“There’s a few hours before nightfall,” he talks over your garbled string of noises, overstimulated and exhausted from the hours of running and the brutal way he had fucked into you. “You can take me again before then, can’t you, Sweet Thing? Before we head back to the ship?”
Your body resigns to his question, already far too wearied and submissive to argue what feels more like an order than a question— besides, bliss is already pooling in between your thighs when he pinches your clit with the pads of his forefinger and thumb.
“Good Girl.”
You stare at the blank word document, watching the cursor blink impatiently as it waits for you to write something. Anything. With a brain like yours, you were never short on words when it came to papers. The real issue is making it not sound like a wikipedia article. You've spent the past couple of weeks hanging out around Seungmin and his apartment. You did homework together and spent a lot of time talking but you kept putting off your paper. How could you say what hasn't already been said. It's giving you a headache. Your headache dulled slightly when Seungmin started texting you earlier.
Bam!
"What the hell...?" You send Seungmin a quick text as you get up from your desk and poke your head in the hallway of your apartment to figure out what that noise was.
The last time you heard a loud noise like that, Felix somehow managed knock down the entire bookshelf on top of himself and you were the only one home to help get it off of him. Magically, he only had a few cuts and bruises.
"Han, stop throwing shit at me!" Felix's voice booms through the apartment.
The yelling is coming from Felix and Jisung's room. Their door is wide open, letting you see straight into the bedroom, which is messier than usual. You abandon the safety of your room and walk into theirs.
"Why? Don't you trust me to not hit you in the face? Do you think I would stab you in the back?" Jisung shouts back. He's standing on his side of the room, clutching a rather large book. You recognize the book, it's the one you got him last Christmas about famous composers throughout history. You thought that reading it would get him out of the slump while he was composing his own music. You were right.
"Look, I said I'm sorry. But in all honesty, it wasn't fair for you to put me in the middle like that." Felix says softly from his side of the room. He's clutching a pillow, probably to protect him all the things Jisung has thrown at him. You can see the various stuffed animals, half empty water bottles, and notebooks littering Felix's side of the room.
"Fair? Bro, you went behind my back and told Y/n something I told you in confidence. How is that fair?" Jisung shouts before hurling the book straight at Felix's head. Luckily, Felix ducks narrowly dodging the book.
"What the hell is going on?" You ask panicked. You've never seen Jisung so mad.
"Oh for fuck's sake..." Jisung mutters before walking over to you, gently shoving you out of the room and slamming the door in your face.
You stare at the door trying to process what just happened. You can hear muffled yelling on the other end, Felix's voice significantly louder than Jisung's. You're unsure what to do. The three of you are the only one's home. Chan left a few hours ago to go to play rehearsal and Changbin has been at work for most of the day. You know better than to get in between them right now. You've gotten hurt getting in the middle of their play fighting before, you don't even want to think about what would happen if you tried that while they're actually fighting.
You anxiously shift the weight from one foot to the other as you stand behind the door with your hand on the door knob unsure if you should at least try to intervene. You freeze when you hear a pained scream come from the room.
You swallow the lump in your throat and open the door. You find Jisung flat on his back on the floor, clutching his face, and Felix standing over him, all the color drained from his face and eyes transfixed with horror, unable to look away no matter how much he wants to.
"What the fuck happened?" You ask, kneeling down next to Jisung. Now that you're closer to him, you can see blood dripping down the side of his face and spilling through between his fingers.
"I-it was an accident. He, he started shoving me and getting in my face and I told him to fucking stop but he wouldn't-- He fucking sucker punched me and I swung back without thinking. I didn't mean to hit him that hard, but he was pissing me off." Felix says quickly. You're not even sure how you understood him with how fast he was speaking, running his words together.
"Ji, let me see your face," You say calmly. You grab one of the shirts that's laying on the ground, ready to use it to help stop the bleeding.
"I'm fine," He chokes out as he sits up, more blood dripping down his face.
"Bullshit, you're bleeding profusely all over yourself and the carpet. Pretty sure you broke your nose. Let me check," You say, gently trying to get him to move his hands.
"Why do you even care?" He chokes out. He almost definitely has blood in mouth.
"Because you're my best friend even though you're being an asshole to me."
"Best friend, right..." He says softly.
"Ji--"
"Just leave me alone," He get up and leaves the room. You hear a door slam on the other side of the apartment.
You shut your eyes and take a deep breathe before running off to your bathroom and grab the hydrogen peroxide and a washcloth. You go back to the room and quickly clean up the bloodstains.
"How are you doing, Lix?" You ask Felix as you clean.
"He knocked the wind out of me and my hand hurts but I'm okay." He explains.
"What happened? Why were you two fighting?"
"I told him that you knew that he likes you and then it escalated very quickly."
"He's acting like a fucking child," You mutter under your breath.
"You can't exactly blame him. How would you feel if Seungmin didn't like you back?"
"I wouldn't be throwing a temper tantrum about it, that's for sure. He's 21 years old but he's acting like a toddler who didn't get his way. He can't get mad at me for not liking him back."
You finish cleaning up the blood on the floor just as Jisung walks back into the room. His nose is noticeably swollen and red, already forming a bruise. He has a cut on the bridge of his nose. He refuses look at you or Felix as he lays on his bed.
"Get out, both of you." He says loudly.
"This is Lix's room too. You can't just kick him out." You argue.
"Y/n, it's fine. Let's just let him cool off," Felix says softly as he ushers you out of the room. Closing the door behind him. You take another deep breath before pushing Felix into your room and leaving him to get him an ice pack.
Hello everyone and welcome to me dumping a bunch of Cookie's Bustle images used on the RODIK website I've found by tackling a couple different angles of it on the Wayback Machine, with some little bits of commentary from meeeeeee
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Smaller version of the above gif (and the blog's current favicon!)
Tumblr media
Matching alien gif used alongside it on the front page. Easily one of my favorites
Tumblr media
Full-body, non-animated version of the render used for the blinking gifs
Tumblr media
This actually comes from an english version of the RODIK site! There's not much left of it in the wayback machine- for example, the Cookie-specific page is just a bunch of broken images... But we can see from the hiring page that they hoped to make more games after, with even more focus on foreign markets!
Tumblr media
I actually found this on the product page for one of their office softwares, and not any of the Cookie related pages! Maybe they started using her as a company mascot? (It would be really funny if desire for a mascot was what lead them to making Cookie's Bustle in the first place... That would be like if those BK games were made before Burger King was even named Burger King)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These from what looks like a page for ordering Cookie's Bustle by mail (which was also on the pages for office software... but I like the look of them)
Tumblr media
This was on what seems to have been a page that had a different picture every month! Unfortunately, only two months were captured in the Wayback Machine, and only this one still had the image...
Tumblr media
An image used to link to the merch store on one of many versions of the RODIK homepage! (And proof that the plushies did indeed happen! When I first stumbled across a tweet about them, I was ready for it to just be somebody being coy about one they'd made themselves...)
Tumblr media
This one you may recognize from me making cursors out of it. It came from the software museum page! I'd looked at that page several times before, actually, when I was first getting introduced to the game, but I didn't actually notice it until I went out of my way to save as many old Cookie images as I could find.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Various promo images
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And ending the post off with the in-game screenshots! (I keep forgetting about the Adventure Zone sign and getting cracked up about it all over again)
Given your dislike of BG3 and preference for the previous games, how would you rework BG3 to be better?
COMBAT
Round Based Combat (Turn based combat playing in real time on a 6 second rhythm)
The cursor will now snap to an enemy's hitbox.
Class Kits have been re-implemented
Mages get access to Horrid Wilting because what even is the fucking point of playing a Mage otherwise?
Larian has been sent to Sunday School to repent for their wicked and sinful fetish for surface effects, explosions and arson.
Boss mechanics are about positioning and reactivity, rather than finding the one button in the room that wins the fight for you
Cantrips are now called Innate Abilities and can be cast within a round independently of regular spells and actions, creating a higher skill ceiling of weaving them between regular spells and attacks.
NON COMBAT GAMEPLAY
Dice rolls have been removed from 80% of dialogue. The game now rolls the relevant skills behind the scenes when dialogue options appear and if you succeed, that skill's dialogue option is available. If you don't have the relevant skill but a party member does, this still works only choosing the dialogue involves asking for their input. Ideally this should only fail if nobody in the party has that skill, or you haven't levelled up at all.
The Dice Roll animation now runs three times faster and most of the drawn out animation of all the bonuses and penalties has been removed.
Thieves will re-roll a perception check every round. If you fail a perception check, put a thief in the party and wait until they finally find it (just like BG1 and 2 does, that's another thing Larian changed for some reason)
Multi-Class characters will have their classes level up independently rather than choosing which class to level each time.
Mind Flayer abilities no longer require inserting more tadpoles. Once the tadpole is inserted, the tadpole levels up as its own unique class with your others as it roots itself into more of your brain. It was always strange that removing the tadpoles is the primary motivation and then it gives you four more and says "put that in your eye."
COMPANIONS
Your first companion is not a complete stranger
Your first full party is not entirely composed of absolute cunts
Companions are no longer acquired as rapidly and are spread out among Act 1 and 2.
Shadowheart is now a Fighter/Cleric. Her Wisdom is increased to 18 and her Strength and Constitution are increased to 16.
Wyll is now a Rogue/Warlock. His Charisma is increased to 18, his Strength to 13 and his Dexterity to 16.
Karlach is now a Berserker. Her Strength has been increased to 18 and her Constitution has been increased to 17.
Jaheira has been returned to a Fighter/Druid. Her Strength and Wisdom have been increased to 18.
Jaheira and Minsc are so old that their equipment is itemized using Second Edition rules and as a result is unusable by the other party members. Fuck you that's funny.
Jim Cummings has been restored as Minsc's voice actor, because the decision to recast the meme character with the meme actor of the week was always a bone-headedly stupid decision.
Companions have a wider array of stories than "abuse victim."
Halsin and Shadowheart are now only romancable by male characters.
Astarion and Minthara are now only romanceable by female characters.
Lae'zel and Gale are no longer romanecable.
Karlach, and Wyll remain bisexual.
Romanced Ascended Astarion will now completely end your relationship, claiming you have outlived your usefulness. Because apparently some people were too busy listening to Niel Newbon doing his best Seth MacFarlane impression to actually get the message.
Shadowheart's story no longer involves Viconia de'Vir.
Gale's story no longer involves him being Mystra's side piece at Level 1
Astarion's personality is no longer a blatant copy of Anomen Delryn
Astarion's story is no longer a blatant copy of Anomen, Keldorn, Aerie, Imoen, Dynaheir and Hexxat.
STORY
The game will now allow you to import old Infinity Engine save files. The only notable effect is that any mention of "Gorion's Ward" in text will now use the Ward's name, pronouns and race from the save file imported.
The Narrator can be disabled.
Origin Characters have been removed. Larian's characters suffer greatly from having to fit into this concept.
Dark Urge has been removed and moved to its own separate series of games called "Baldur's Gate" "Siege of Dragonspear" "Shadows of Amn" and "Throne of Bhaal." They will all be made available on Steam immediately.
Tav has a personal motivation for getting involved in the story, rather than being shepherded through the story by everyone else.
A level 1 character does not start the game on an exploding Michael Bay ship. Seriously Larian, what the fuck?
The Mind Flayer tadpoles are inserted into Tav at the end of Act 1 instead of the prologue as a consequence of getting involved in all this "True Soul" malarkey.
Tav is now the only one infected by the Mind Flayers deliberately. Over the course of Act 2, the others will be infected due to their proximity. Companions now get involved with each other for mutual advantage and companionship instead of "lol same brainworm."
Sarevok Anchev and the Conspicuous Consanguinity Conspiracy has been removed from the game. Like seriously Larian what in the actual fuck?
Bhaal and his children are no longer present in the story. The only mention of any active Bhaalspawn will be a footnote in a journal and only if you imported a save from Throne of Bhaal where Gorion's Ward was a long-lived race that chose to remain Mortal, as that is the only possible way for any Bhaalspawn to still be alive. They still won't be involved in the story owing to being banished from Baldur's Gate during the events of Siege of Dragonspear.
I started paying attention to mods around that part of the Temple of Shar.
There are many gems already available.. if you are on PC, it is worth the effort the learn how to install these mods.
Some of these mods address events or characters that happen further down the story but I didn't feel like having multiple posts about my mod list so I included them here.
Quick tip - the BG3 Mod Manager tool is definitely your friend.
Quality of life mods No Intro - This is 2023 and we still have to click through logos and animations. Multiple times. Every time the game loads. Why can't games have a checkbox in settings to skip intros? or better yet, show these intros the first time the game runs if you must and make them disappear automatically. Is that too much to ask?
Achievement Enabler - I understand the reasoning behind blocking mods for achievements, but that feels pointless when it comes to cosmetic mods. Why should Steam care if I use a mod to add a skin to my dice? and really, why should they care even if we have mods that help us cheat on achievements?
Aether's Immersive UI - With no Photo Mode, this mod is essential to keep the UI uncluttered and immerse yourself in the game. Native Camera Tweaks - Perfect complement to the immersive UI. This mod allows you to look up, look down, get closer to the characters and enjoy views of the games that were not possible before.
WASD Character Movement - This mod changed the experience of the game for me more than any other. Not only you can move around more naturally, but centering the camera on the selected character has the unintended consequence to keep everything in line of sight. No more 'looking over the ledge' or 'around the corner' to see if something is about to attack.
Infinite short rest potion and Infinite long rest potion - For roleplay purposes, I needed a way to force a short or long rest without breaking the flow with a visit to the camp. These mods are useful when you get back to back combat with no logical excuse to rest at the camp (like it happened to me after getting a beating in the Temple of Shar then going to the Moonrise Tower, and then fighting Ketheric Thorn and his minions - twice!).
Custom dice Mysterious Artifact Dice - numbered and non numbered - I can't imagine a more perfect skin. Diamond Dice - That was my favorite before the Artifact dice came out.
Nostalgia BG2 Mouse Cursors - I didn't realize how much I missed these icons until I saw them again in action.
Shadowheart's hair Shadowheart hair change - Simply changing the color of her hair just didn't make sense as a symbolic action to reclaim control of her life. The change had to be more dramatic and yet keep some continuity. This is a solution I came up with after researching forums and it is working nicely even though it requires some manual editing of config files. Back to Black Shadowheart - This one is useful if you want a sense of continuity of a drastic cut without a magical color change.
Effects tuning Blood Of Lathander Re-divined - Much needed adjustment to a weapon that had to be hidden under layers upon layers of security and puzzles only to turn out to be a modest magical mace. Overpowered Aylin and Isobel - Seriously, I was expecting to see a glorious Dame Aylin mopping the floor with Ketheric Thorn after what he did to her.. only to be disappointed when she was incapacitated in the first half of the fight. For an immortal daughter of a Goddess, she needed to be beefed up. To balance things a little, I used a combination of the 'lite' version for Isobel and the full version for Aylin.
Custom Mouse Cursor Installation, how to on Windows 10:
There are certainly better people to explain this than me, and I'll add a link to a site for a more in depth explanation, however some people don't wanna go to external sites, and as I am the owner of this blog, I gotta explain it. Y'know, since I am making those little ani and cur files that some of you may want to use, I know one or two things, even if I'm inexperienced.
This is a long one, so everything important is under read more. :>
Explanation on what a custom mouse cursor even is: A custom mouse cursor can either be one of two data file types, on Windows at least: .ani or .cur. Basically ani files are animated cursor files, so those are what you need if you want an animated cursor, and cur are static cursor files, if you want a non animated cursor, this is the file type you need. Each ani and cur file has an assigned hot spot, these may differ depending on what cursor role it takes on, but the hotspot is embedded into the file itself. (As an example: An ani/cur file that is intended for text selection, will have a different hot spot than let's say, the normal link select cursor.) Note for the next part: My operating system is in German, and the settings names are roughly translated, I try to explain where to find the options in addition to their names. Thank you for understanding. Okay, but how do I install those little files?: You don't install them, you simply add file that you need in the mouse control panel in windows. Let me explain how to get there: You first open Windows settings, there are multiple ways to do this, but I like going to the notification side bar, and click on all settings. However if you don't have that bar, you can click on the windows icon on the windows icon, and it should be right above above your power (ON/OFF) settings. Next, you go to the devices setting that handles Bluetooth, printers and mouses. (It should be right next to System settings, and is the second option below the search bar.) There you will want to go to the mouse tab (3rd from the top) and click on the Additional Mouse Options. (It should be found in related settings, as the second option.) Now a window should have opened called Mouse Properties. To change the cursor image, you need to go to the second tab, called Pointers. Now you can begin replacing images. Be cautious of moving the ani and cur files after this point, because if you change where they are placed on your pc, you will need to set them again even if you set them as a preset /more on that later/. To change an a cursor image, simply double click the one you want to change, or use the button under "Use as Standard", to look for it on your pc. Now you simply need to search for the cursor images on your pc, and add them to each slot. I try to name my cursor files according to what they are called in the small description to the left of each mouse cursor role, so just try to follow that and it should be alright. I recommend making a new scheme, or preset after adding all the ani or cur files you want to add. You can do this by setting your preset to none before you add all of them, and / or simply pressing save as, give it a fitting name. Voila, now you can set them again without much hassle, unless you moved the files. Mouse cursor images reset when changing the cursor size, so presets are pretty useful for that, or when you have a bunch of ani and cur files you want to switch between without much trouble.
Changing mouse cursor size: Speaking of changing cursor size, if you like your mouse cursor images to be a bit bigger, so it's clearer to see, you can do that fairly easily as well, simply go to the mouse settings again, and there you will want to click on "Change Mouse & Cursor Size" (should be the first / top option in related settings.) Once at the next page, you simply need to adjust the pointer size (it should be the first slider on that page) and re apply the preset you made of the cursor files you chose. I exported the files in 24bit colour depth, so it shouldn't blur when upscaled. Feel free to experiment with what feels comfortable for you, and be sure to give it some time. A new cursor size needs some time to get adjusted to.
Additional Links:
A website that goes into more detail, and has images:
If you want to get more custom mouse cursors RW Designer's gallery tab, and cursor sub tags, also have a lot of neat ones. This should be it, if anything else needs to be added, I will reblog this post with more information.
Bugs I have observed in Rogue Trader, particularly if the game has been running for more than like two hours:
Character barks and non cutscene voice lines become faded and echo, similar to the filter that is applied at high Veil Degradation
Trap that was highlighted by Awareness but could not be selected or interacted with
Companion quest event triggers out of order, causing a dead character to suddenly be alive again.
Dialogue options specific to a certain event or sequence persisting after the event has resolved
AoE attacks highlighting affected enemies, but then not affecting anything in the area but a single cover object
A-posing NPCs and character models getting stuck in specific animations or poses
The Bounty Hunter Heroic Action, Wild Hunt, failing to activate and not doing anything.
Skill bonuses not being applied and characters not being nominated for appropriate skill checks
Talent and ability effects persisting after battle
Stat screen incorrectly displaying stat bonuses
Enemy bodies disappearing and becoming uninteractable but still appearing on the map as having items
Status effects having inconsistent or random icons
Tiles randomly being unselectable, preventing precise character movement
The Bounty Hunter talent Savor the Kill activating when it shouldn't
Empty spaces being indicated to have cover on all four sides when there is nothing around it
Dynamic mouse cursor getting stuck on a single cursor appearance
Party member chatter triggering for characters that are not in the active party and reference events the player has not done
Prompt to install extractium on planet resource fails, preventing resource gain
What's wrong with orientalism in TMNT? || It's actually more probable that the creative team of most media don't go through fans' content, to avoid fans claiming plagiarism if the content does something a fan has also done. I'm not saying all creative teams stay away from their fans' content, just it's more likely they avoid it. Unless you have significant proof? || Your blog's cursor animation is cool.
1. not to say that tmnt is "irredeemable" or anything like that, but orientalism and anti-asian stereotyping has been a bit of a recurring problem throughout the franchise history ('87 especially... some of the lotus blossom episodes were hard to watch). for the last ronin lost years issues in particular, now that mike is going through parts of asia (japan, korea, china, mongolia so far), it really kind of becomes evident when taking into consideration how each country is depicted. more under cut cuz this got looooong
the second and third issues that partially took place in korea especially bothered me, since i'm ethnically korean with a family history on both sides of the border. unified korea is either portrayed like one of those neon, oversaturated, exoticizing pictures of east asian cities (see issue 2's cover) or dirty and full of violence, corruption, and criminal activity, depending on which side of the border mikey's on at the moment. the orientalism here is in this portrayal of koreans as a dirty, violent other for the turtles to judge and beat up. hell, donnie even calls them uncivilized:
Tumblr media
what the hell man, i thought you were cool. also, the writers saw fit to... turn all of what was china into a nuclear wasteland after a 9.6 earthquake in beijing? despite china being massive??? this is a confusing decision and i can only wonder why it was made
the parts of the comic that take place in japan and mongolia feature characters that seemingly exist only to help mikey on his journey and train him. i fucked up here and accidentally deleted a huge chunk of this paragraph, and i'm neither japanese nor mongolian, so i can't and will not get into the specifics because i really don't want to put my foot in my mouth talking about the specifics of cultures and ethnic groups that i'm not a part of
either way, asians in the last ronin: lost years are portrayed as an "other", a contrast to our american (mike explicitly refers to himself as "american" in issue 2) protagonists. they're either violent goons for action scenes or wise, hospitable mentors for mikey to learn from, but so far we haven't seen many asian characters outside of these two roles
unfortunately i think orientalism is something thats kind of hard to avoid in a franchise like this, where its primarily non-asian, american creatives writing stories that feature asian (japanese) characters and cultures for almost 40 years running (i checked, and i think there's only one asian american working on tlr:ly as an associate editor). ideally creatives would avoid orientalism and instead treat asian characters like actual people instead of "the other", but...well. yknow. to clarify, it's perfectly fine to like tmnt, hell i'm a MASSIVE fan with a decent collection of comics on my shelf. but i think its something that we as fans should be mindful of when engaging with the source material and fan works. sorry if my explanation is a little scattered, i need to go get dinner rn haha ^^"
2. at the very least, one of the artists scrolls through the lost ronin hashtag, he liked and rted my picture of lost years issue #1 and my ronin figures' boxes. i didn't really mean like fanfic or anything like that, just casual social media stuff, and so i didn't really want to bother the actual creators because lord knows how the twitter algorithm works. shit's dark magic to me and if i got pqrted id cry and wail because twt confuses me [exaggeration]
3. ty! i'm surprised it still works after all these years haha, i think i got it from this site
House of the Dead (Short Theory)
The protagonist's are Bioweapons themselves.
House of the Dead is the arcade version of Biohazard(Resident Evil) before Resident Evil had its own arcade shooter. The HoD games covered a lot of the same ground and lore that RE/BH did.
There was underground research facilities, haunted houses, zombies, and "Bioweapons". Bioweapons aren't unique to the Resident Evil series by the way, they are a common trope used in a lot of 90s media. They may have originated with ideas like Captain America's "Super Soldier Serum" which itself originated from World War propaganda between the U.S. and Europe at the time.
Japan, having witnessed the effects of nuclear radiation firsthand took the idea in a different direction, with series like Godzilla, Akira, and Astro Boy (a pre-cursor and influence on MegaMin.)
My focus is on the special agents aged between 25 and 50, who are able to stand toe-to-toe with genetically engineered pseudo magical beasts, and survive where nobody else does.
Also; they consume the life force of the people they rescue.
Now, commonly in rail shooter games, you'll encounter hostile characters and non-hostile characters. Sometime in these games; not shooting the survivors, non-hostiles, or hostages will result in a "life up bonus" which is usually only given to the players for inserting more coins into the arcade machine.
The game even has animations of the saved survivors giving up "life" to character the player is currently controlling, and if you save all the civilians; you get extra bonuses.
Some civilians are saved during the events of HoD; and some are revealed to have escaped alongside the protagonists; but usually because they had important information or items to the story itself.
What this says to me; is that the agents are a form of vampire, able to regenerate or use life energy in a similar way to the monsters of the game. And that the developers chose not to display that visual due to potential media censorship at the time.
---
Actually, this is all fluff and I have no proof of any of that. But the character "G" having the same name as a certain virus from the Resident Evil series is super sus.
Wraparound cursors, also known as "fungous cursors," are a popular trend in the tech world. These cursors are designed to closely resemble the appearance and behavior of fungi, which adds a unique and playful element to computer interfaces. However, while this trend may seem harmless and even exciting, there are some reasons why wraparound cursors can be detrimental to both users and their devices.
First and foremost, the nature of fungi is to decompose organic matter. When applied to cursors, this can lead to a gradual deterioration of the cursor's shape and functionality. As the cursor is used over time, the design will likely begin to blur and distort, making it more difficult for users to accurately click on icons or navigate their screens. In extreme cases, the cursor may completely disintegrate, leaving users without a functional tool for their computer.
Furthermore, the fungal aesthetic of wraparound cursors may also lead to confusion and frustration for users. The non-traditional design can be visually distracting, and users may find it difficult to distinguish the cursor from other elements on their screen. This can disrupt productivity and increase the time it takes to complete tasks.
Additionally, the popularity of wraparound cursors can also have negative effects on device performance. The complex design and animation of these cursors can use up a significant amount of processing power, which can slow down the overall functionality of the computer. This is especially true for older or lower-powered devices, which may struggle to keep up with the demands of wraparound cursors.
In some cases, wraparound cursors have also been known to cause compatibility issues with certain software or websites. This can be frustrating for users who rely on specific programs or websites for work or personal use.
Moreover, the trend of wraparound cursors can also lead to a lack of accessibility for users with visual impairments. The unique, non-traditional design may be difficult for these users to see or distinguish, making it harder for them to use their devices effectively.
In conclusion, while wraparound cursors may seem fun and innovative, their fungous design and effects on device functionality and usability make them a less than ideal choice for computer interfaces. It is important for users to carefully consider the potential drawbacks before adopting this trend and to opt for more traditional cursor options that prioritize functionality and accessibility.
