Gotta be honest, I've been a subscriber for a while and I'm still not entirely sure what the last name thing is entirely about, I'm assuming Orchard is not your parents last name and that's why Courtney calling herself that is creepy
Orchard is not the surname I was born with. When I changed my name as part of my transition, I changed it to something else entirely.
Courtney's last name is Peet. That she deliberately chooses to go by the same last name as me is more disturbing than you realize.

So what started this new muse for loving and supportive siblings?
Well a combination of things.
1. I was introduced to the nightmarish level of "are the straights okay" where parents were suspecting their kids were "too close" because they *checks notes* cuddle sometimes.
2. The Shock Value video uncovered an entire ecosystem of people who are so emotionally deprived they can't fathom the idea of emotional intimacy that isn't sexual.
3. None of the above is helped by the prevailing attitude that it's nornal to hate your siblings.
4. Courtney forcing her way back into my life unearthed some repressed memories that I would like to re-bury under as much fluff as possible.
5. All the wholesome sibling stories from a whole back inspired me.
So I decided to be the change I wanted to see in the world and started working on a few ideas, some of which are still just in the idea stage, but all of which are about high intimacy platonic relationships between siblings that are healthy, supportive, and soft as all fuck.
It's already working as people who do have good relationships with their siblings said they felt seen by them.
