It's four in the morning and all you want is a good cup of tea and to lie down, but when does anything ever go the way you want it to?
As you sit on one of the kitchen chairs, Lockwood is fumbling around, trying to patch up a gash on your forehead after a scuffle with the ghost you had a case for tonight. You feel like a child. Even more so because he's telling you off.
If you're being honest, you've not been listening to most of what he's been saying, partly because of exhaustion and pain, partly because he's been pattering on for so long that, quite frankly, you've lost interest.
"Are you even listening to me?"
You flinch as Lockwood slathers antiseptic cream on the cut. "Honest answer?"
"Preferably."
"Then no. What were you saying?"
The look he gives you holds no humour. No, this is the look Anthony Lockwood gives when he's tired and irritated and unable to keep up the farce of a charming, unbothered business owner. It doesn't hold much sway over you, and it never has, truthfully, but you can empathise with him. Solely because he often acts the same way you're acting now.
"You can't keep doing this," he says. His eyes are fixed on the plaster he slowly places on your forehead. "You're throwing yourself into harm's way with no good cause."
"No good cause? I think making sure you and George stay alive is an exceptional cause."
"This isn't a joke, (name). This is your life."
The words irk you a little. "I could say the same to you."
Lockwood's hands drop from your head, and he looks at you straight-on now. His eyes, usually filled with curiosity and soft happiness, swirl with something else. Frustration.
"What do you mean by that?"
"You're always so snippy with me after cases," you say, trying to keep the edge out of your voice, "when all I'm doing is keeping you and George safe. I mean, tonight, you were both ghost-locked when I found you! But you're no different. If anything, you're worse than me. You've thrown yourself out of windows before. Shit, you've locked me in a room to fight a ghost yourself while I tried to find a source!"
He starts packing away the first aid kit, tearing his eyes away from yours, and you know you've made a good point. He never looks at you when he knows you're right.
"Lockwood, this company can't survive without you, we can't survive without you. My risks are thought through, and I'm not doing anything that should really cost me my life. You on the other hand..."
He glances at you, a muscle twitching in his cheek. "Me?"
You sigh, willing him silently to just look at you. "You'd give your life in a second. Which, believe me, I am eternally appreciative of, but it's rarely ever necessary, if ever. I've half a mind to think you're doing it to just... you know. Finish things. I'm - we're concerned about you."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh, you absolutely do. You are such a hypocrite!"
"Me?" The look he gives you is scathing, so unlike any way he's looked at you before. "That's rich. Who was it that jumped from a balcony to stop of ghost? Who put themself right in the path of a ghost launching itself for someone? It was you!"
The anger that grips you is almost unbearable, but you push it down. Shouting will get you nowhere, and George is trying to sleep. "First of all, that balcony hung over a thick spread of bushes, so I had no injuries except for some thorn scrapes. Secondly, that ghost was going to kill you. Third, I can name at least five more things you've done in the last two weeks that put you in much more danger. Are we seriously going to make this a competition?"
Suddenly, he stands, and his chair scrapes loudly against the floor. You wince, watching as he shoves the first aid kit back into the cupboard. He pauses, hands on the countertop, standing straight as a rod.
Drama queen, you think, but you don't dare say it out loud.
"You're getting too reckless," Lockwood says, his back still facing you. "I can't risk having an agent who is too reckless. It endangers everyone."
Oh, you want to strangle him.
Angrily, you stand, not caring that you almost send the chair clattering to the floor. You press your hands to the table, wrinkling the thinking cloth, and lean forward, scowling.
"Reckless? Do you even hear yourself, Lockwood?"
"I do."
"I think you just love to hear the sound of your own voice. Surely that's why you spout so much bullshit."
"No, I -"
"I'm talking now, Lockwood," you snap and, thank god, he goes quiet. "You of all people do not get to call me reckless, not with the shit you pull. George, yes, he can feel free. But, you? Not a fucking chance. You go out of your way to put yourself in dangerous situations! And I get it, you want to protect us, but that is what I'm doing, too, and you don't see me almost dying! I leave with a scratch or two, so what. You leave with concussions and ghost-touch and the risk of bleeding internally. But, okay, I'm the reckless one. Whatever."
When he turns, his eyes are burning. "You endanger all of us when you pull shit like what you did today."
Scoffing, you say, "All right. What should I have done? Left you and George to be killed? My question is, what would you have done, Lockwood? Would you have left us?"
His silence is your answer, and you stand straight. Your gazes are locked, both alight with rage, but you won't back down. Not on this.
"That's what I thought."
You make to leave, but he moves quickly, grasping your wrist with a touch that should be strong. You're surprised by the gentleness of his hand, how loose his grip is, and you look up at him, frowning. His gaze has changed entirely, from rage to desperation.
"I can't -" He struggles for the words. "I can't lose you, (name). Not like I lost..."
My family. The words are left unspoken, but you know it's what he would've said. There's a pang in your heart, and you want to apologise for it all, but that's always been your gut instinct. To say sorry for everything. But not this time.
"And you think I can bear to lose you?" You try to hide the waver in your voice, but he's caught it, and you know it from the way his gaze softens. "You can't order me around, demand me not to protect you guys, when you do exactly that. It's not fair, Lockwood. Not on me, not on George. And I don't - I don't want a part in this if all you're going to do is sacrifice yourself and then criticise me for doing the same."
His hand shakes as it holds yours, and that's when all the sadness hits you, the regret for the argument you've had. "I'm sorry. I just..."
Your hand closes over his. "I know. I know."
When his forehead touches yours, careful not to press on the gash, you breathe in deeply. And you breathe out all the bad, all the pent-up anger inside of you. There's too little time in your lives to spend like this.
"I won't stop unless you stop," you murmur, closing your eyes.
His breath is warm on your cheeks. "Seems like we're stuck in a checkmate forever, then."
You sigh. "I suppose we are."

Omg ok ok hello! I had this huge rant in my head about sy and sn so pls feel free to ignore it, but I love your writing so much and it gives me some STRONG FEELINGS.
First of all it surprised me that I like the way you write y/n cuz she doesn't become a "bitch" after the whole deal with Gojo and have some elaborate revenge plan, but she is also not a goody two shoes (even if she stayed with Gojo earlier but she had a lot of external pressure to stay in the marriage). Not that those tropes are necessarily bad but it's just more realistic this way. She's just a person who has been deeply hurt and is trying to do right by others. Even if she has made big mistakes, she still wants to make up for them cuz she's not completely in the right either. Also getting bashed by everyone for trying to make amends/ not following their advice regarding you own life; while very triggering for me (lol) is also just such a natural reaction. Not right, just natural. When things get out of people's hands and they want to blame someone for it, they often go for the one who is actually trying and won't retaliate if for nothing than to just keep the peace. Also wanting people to understand your side of the situation yet feeling undeserving of it at the same time because of your mistakes is UGHHH I feel like you do that so well!
It's amazing but genuinely heartbreaking to see how far Satoru has come as a person too. Also when he thinks about how he wants to be a better person for Akemi IT MADE ME WANT TO PUT MY HEAD THROUGH A WALL... cuz WHY COULDN'T HE BE LIKE THAT FOR US!!! At the same time we have moved on without him, so if we are allowed that luxury then why isn't he? It's just so ANGSTY AND SO SO GOOD! Because we love Satoru we always will but he had a chance and he fricked it over terribly! So it would be idiotic to go back to him but at the same time the heart yearns for him. This is a side tangent but whenever any character says "this is not like you", "you have changed, this isn't how you'd act" makes me so MAD lol (maybe bc I am triggered?) But these guys WATCHED MY GIRL GO THROUGH SOME HORRIFIC SHIT AND STILL EXPECT HER TO NOT BE PERMANANTLY AND IRREVERSIBLY CHANGED???!! ;-;; IDK what they want from her oof >.<
I do think Akemi is a shitty friend but I can't bring myself to hate her completely. Seeing them together is so ANGER INDUCING AAAAA (and her wanting a family with him is fine BUT THIS EARLY?!JUST AFTER ADMITTING YOU FEEL "SORRY" FOR BETRAYING US?! IT MAKES ME WANNA HURL HER TRHOUGH CONCRETE) but at the same time Satoru and Akemi both deserve someone who can love them. It feels hypocritical to be angry when we ourselves told him to move on and find someone who can love him the way he deserves. It's just very very shitty it had to be them.
Sera is also such an interesting character. She has a lot of traits that I admire a lot. Her resourcefulness and complete and utter pride/confidence and being unashamed to ask for things/ stand up for herself (even when she is wrong) is something I wish I had sometimes. Still wanna stick her head through a toilet tho and yet when a person who slept with a married man can see the bloody violation of girls' code that is sleeping with your bff's EX HUSBAND oh BOY you should KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG.
I have no strong feelings for Toji (cuz I don't like him much anyways but that's just personal bias XD )but I do think his anger and frustration is well founded especially since he runs over whenever the reader needs him. He's so supportive and invested and honestly he deserves someone who can give that back to him. It's kinda sad but then again I don't like him much to begin with lol.
OH AND THE ENDING OF THE LAST CHAPTER IS SOOOOO PAINFUL. To always be the second choice even for YOUR SON OHHH MAN I'D RATHER YOU PUT A KNIFE THROUGH MY HEART ;-;
All in all I hate how much I love this series and love to hate these characters and take out my repressed anger on them cuz I can't do that irl. This series is my Roman Empire lol. It's so painful, yet so beautiful and it makes you FEEL so many things and yet hold out hope for things to become better. I love this, love you and your writing- ok mwah bye bye (and thank you if you read this rant put together by my post nap, barely coherent brain) I have so much more that I want to say. I can write essays about this series and how it uses so many technically "cliche" tropes but it is anything but cliche . Truly some of the best angst I have read like ever!

can't hurry love with older!dilf!eddie feels like spring. i think it might be loosely set in spring too??? i know i wrote it in spring, so maybe that's why.
also from older!dilf!eddie universe, you make loving fun feels very spring time. very lovey and sweet and established. idk for me, it just gives that time of year when i read it.

I don't know if you are taking requests still or not, i'm the one that asked about the bad stomach aches, just dropping ideas lol but a character crying in bed because of the bad stomach ache while someone comforts them. A character having a hard time walking/moving since it makes the pain worse. Fast breathing, difficulty talking. A character telling whoever is with them to "please, make it stop" while the other character feels so bad because they can't really do anything. A character not standing tummy rubs/their tummy being touched. Walking hunched over or needing help walking. A character not wanting to uncurl so their caretaker can look at the tummy. I love specially the comforting part of this, i find it sweet, i'm a big drama lover tho. Just a few ideas

1. Character that gets bad stress stomachaches and one of their comforts is normally tummy rubs and without asking care taker starts rubbing their tummy to soothe them. Instead of helping the pain, sickie bursts into tears because it’s a awful ache and pressure just made it hurt worse.
2. Caretaker doesn’t actually know what’s wrong with sickie because sickie is crying so hard they can barely form a coherent sentence to explain what’s wrong with their stomach.
3. On top of their stomach ache, sickie is still feels quite hungry from not eating to avoid aggravating their tummy any further (of course that’s great enough on its own) and caretaker still tries to get them to eat anyway and after every mouth full sickie tears up a little because yes it’s settling the hunger, but it’s worsening the actual stomach ache.
4. Sickie’s stomach hurts bad enough that they can’t walk (or don’t even want to try) so caretaker gives them a piggyback ride. It’s a bumpy ride and they keep slipping and caretaker has to ‘hoist’ them back up which jostles sickies stomach nearly as bad as walking would have. (Add on a bit of caretaker apologising every time the ride gets rough, or they have to reposition sickie but caretaker still feels guilty since their apologies aren’t going to change anything.) (If you want to make it more dramatic you could also throw in sickie silently crying into caretaker’s shoulder which soon starts to drench their top which make caretaker feel even worse feeling that damp spot)
5. Sickie and caretaker aren’t alone and sickie really doesn’t want the others to know how bad their tummy is hurting, so they try to make gestures to get caretaker’s attention, but caretaker keeps misinterpreting them. So on top of holding back tears from how bad of state their stomach is in, now there is also frustration tears they have to hold back. They finally get to let it all out once the caretaker understands what they mean and takes them to a private area.
6. Caretaker letting sickie cuss/yell/cry/etc at them while they feel around sickie’s stomach because they were getting really concerned with how badly it was hurting sickie. Caretaker knows them feeling and prodding sickie’s tummy must be making it worse, but they have to make sure everything is okay and they let sickie get all their frustration out without taking it personally/sickie really doesn’t mean it. Once they have confirmed it’s nothing serious, they let sickie cry into their shoulder and console them softly while sickie gets the rest of their pained cries out. (Even later while sickie is crying they might start to cry about how bad they feel for yelling at caretaker and caretaker just shushes telling them they know sickie didn’t mean it and it’s all alright :)
7. Caretaker has to spoon feed sickie their medicine, bring their water bottle to their lips, wipe the sweat/tears off them etc since sickie physically can’t bring themselves to remove their hands from their stomach.

you've got me invested with Unwanted! and I've got stuff I wanted to say. First off, buckle up because this is a long one. Second, I'm not defending him in anyway shape, or form, Bucky is still an absolute piece of shit for what he's done. BUT I will say, I do see why it came to that point. I mean, the obvious manipulation from she who i will not name correctly. look, Jusepie is smart, I'll give her that, bc she's so calculated about every single interaction she and Bucky have. The way she played into his insecurity, self-doubt, and fears, it didn't come off as a surprise to me why Bucky went down that rabbit hole. I saw it this way, Jordan made his fears worse unbeknownst to him, she's the reason why Pocket and him are arguing more and causing a rift in their relationship, AND THEN she throws in that life vest of "oh i understand you more, you can be open to me because we're basically the same person" so she seems like the good guy in the eyes of Bucky. it's kinda like, you push someone who can't swim in a pool without them knowing, and then you save them from drowning so at the end, you still end up being a hero even tho you caused the problem in the first place?
THEN you add the layer of what Hydra has done to him which, we already know how much that messed him up both physically and mentally AND THEN you add the layer that he's not even from this century! And during that time? fragile masculinity? lack of consent? so many things wrong in that era? It's This might sound so condescending but Bucky is a very very VERY fragile man with a fragile mind that can easily be manipulated AND ON TOP OF THAT, actually has a really fragile ego too. And Jeremiah FED all that, she kept telling him things he wanted to hear to make it SEEM like she's on his side and that's she's the only one who gets him even tho that's not true at all.
Bucket isn't innocent obviously, especially with the things he said and didn't say (a.k.a. defending pocket, calling out Jerico and putting boundaries). basically everything he's admitted about the mental gymnastics he was doing to make it seem like he wasn't doing anything wrong blah blah blah. i could only shake my head bc, really? But then it circles back to how fragile his emotional and mental being is. but still, you can't use that as an excuse. AND i will argue, he was having a power trip. what, someone who thinks no one will ever love or even admire him after everything that he's done (even tho it's not his fault) to suddenly having two women vying for his attention? better yet, FIGHTING for him? he's a man, at the end of the day, and they ain't shit.
now, while i don't see him as unredeemable bc I do see his side then again, people keep saying i have too big of a heart so lol, i also don't think this is going to be an easy fix bc hell, i don't trust him either. like everything that comes out of his mouth, i'd be side-eyeing a lot. While I do believe that once you start spying on who your partner talks to, texting, interacting, etc, that relationship is already over. But i also can't blame Pocket bc this is more or less a last resort to save a friendship for than anything else. bc I really do think they need to start from scratch to be able to come out of this. like, build that trust first, then that friendship before they can even start thinking about dating each other again.
I am worried though, because the thing with Bucky and Josiah, as much as we don't like to admit it, they have built some sort of friendship (toxic one but i'll digress). And it has also become a habit (i could argue addiction) for Bucky, especially when he's been open and vulnerable to her (i get there are things you just aren't brave enough to tell your part but like dude, pocket isn't the fragile girl that you think she is, she can handle it) so it's going to be a tough thing for him to navigate and there's still a possibility that he'd crack under pressure (i don't want to say relapse but u get my point), especially knowing the lengths Jose will go through to get to him. It's really up to him to resist her as much as he can, but Bucky is also a good man. He tends to see the good in people even if they absolutely do not deserve it. I mean I'm the same, because if i see someone cry, even if that someone has been absolute shit to me, it cave so easily. and I have no doubt Julian will play into that HEAVILY. i don't think she's shown what she's fully capable of and that's scary.
I know you said that something is still about to happen come chapter 18 before things become all fixing and groveling, and i'm really worried that this would be a nail on the coffin that would make Bucket irredeemable but, you also said it wasn't as bad as chapter 13 so i'm having my theories that the angst might not come directly from bucky, or that he has no control over it a.k.a it's all Jack's masterplan that Bucky wasn't conscious about it (i really hope not please i'm thinking about the worst). And while i don't agree with Pocket doing a nasty revenge just to get back at Bucky. I think it's more powerful for him to hurt solely because it's his own doing, not because Pocket did something intentionally to hurt him. But I also can't say I don't blame her. but I mean, if it wasn't intentional though? I could look the other way haha. Anyway I can't wait to see how you've decided to play this out! sorry for this whole essay haha much love 🤍
Okay, first off, I fucking LOVE THIS. All of it. These J names? SENDING ME. GIVING ME LIFE! I am cracking up over here to the point my dogs are concerned. They’re giving me Looks.
Second, it fills me with unspeakable JOY that you completely, 110% get where I’m trying to come from with Bucky! It’s been difficult for me to express all the things going on in his head when he’s not a POV character, especially without making it sound like he’s just bullshitting Pocket with his words, or being insincere or flat out lying, so to read that you picked up what I was putting down so succinctly is just ::chef’s kiss::
Third, Pocket gets her revenge, but not in a malicious way. Like, she doesn’t set out to make him suffer. She just… makes some decisions that lead to him facing the consequences of his actions in painful ways. Some are satisfying and funny and some are sad and difficult, but they all build toward Bucky seeing how absolute shit he was to her. As for Judas’s master plan, if you’re thinking what I think you’re thinking re: Bucky not being conscious of it, don’t worry— I didn’t go there. If you’re not thinking what I think you’re thinking, then I have no idea what you’re thinking lol
Trying to be purposefully vague about Chapter 18: it’s not so much what Bucky does that causes the angst— it’s how he responds to what he did that really gets to Pocket. She notes to Wanda and Nat that she could have forgiven him for his actions, in time, but not for the way he followed up on them.

Just finished reading your Fish out of Water collection and it's *chef's kiss*. I saw that you're talking a small break from it before the end of the manga - take all the time you need! Don't feel pressured to write before you're ready<3
Also, I wanted to add that I absolutely agree with your takes in the Q&A section of Tsunami. The only reason antis are so bitter is because they *know* that no art (drawings or writing) concerning fictional characters is illegal, no matter how "icky" it is, so there's absolutely nothing they can do lol
As for the ask, you mention in other asks that all of the yanderes are not opposed to different types of abuse to keep Hime in check. How much of their abuse is dependent on Hime's "push"? If she tells them that she wants to "behave" and tries to do so, will they, for example, give her some space if she would ask them to? How much is up to negotiation with each of the yanderes?
P.S. can't wait to have Choso be more involved in the story! I stumbled upon Tsunami in the first place because I was looking for works with Choso and dead dove lol. But Kuna-chan and Yuji kept me pretty entertained while I wait <3

"kinder" yanderes like choso, yuji, yuta, and megumi would lessen their abuse if they noticed that hime was behaving well (tho choso and yuji wouldn't really be that abusive in the first place tbh). they'll be nicer, grant her a bit more privileges, etc. but they're still gonna keep an eye on her. yuta ESPECIALLY cuz he's a creepy motherfucker 💀

2. How many fics did you work on this year? (They don’t have to be finished or published!)
Oh... Heavens to Betsy, you have no idea how long it took me to add that up! Thirty-five (and counting!) for Soul Eater, four for Star Trek, two for Steven Universe, and forty-two for Kim Possible, so a total of....83 that I actually, actively, worked on... Some way less than others, some way more... In fact one of the Soul Eater ones is sort of a one-shot anthology so I'm currently counting it as one story even tho each chapter is its own thing... I just have no clue how long it will be, ultimately. So yeah. Myyy gosh I worked on a lot and finished/published very little. I gotta do something about that, lol.

All right... I thought of a line, but...I don't want to post it out of context. So...I added some context. Full story excerpt under the cut.
Major, major spoilers for I'll Break Your Fall (Soul Eater, young Spirit and Stein).
"Now you understand..." Stein murmured. The sadness that emanated from the boy was heartbreaking. "It's okay. You can leave me here. You'll be better off."
Spirit frowned, his jaw setting in stubborn defiance.
"No."
"I'm sorry, Spirit."
"No! You're coming with me!"
He reached down with his right hand and pulled Stein's up from where he was digging his fingers into his thigh, clutching it to his chest. Stein looked up in wary surprise.
"But...you'll be better off," the younger boy repeated slowly, still resigned. "If you leave me here then..." Stein lifted his free hand, but as it shook he dropped it and dug his fingers back into his flesh. He took a shuddering breath, his next words coming out in a frightened whisper. "I'll become a...a kishin... Death will send someone to destroy me. Then... I won't be able to hurt you."
Stein's gaze sank in defeat. The agony and fear radiated out of his soul in heavy black waves, weighing Spirit down as he still gripped his meister's hand to his chest, nothing being returned.
The fire, the pressure, the intermittent static, and the whirlwind of blood and horror... The fear that had finally been exposed, and the madness that was the reason for everything... Spirit ignored it all. It was for another time.
He wanted to question, to mourn, as the realization that he couldn't fix this caused his heart to ache. Not only was the madness borne of Stein's soul, he had probably suffered it his entire life. The grief tore at Spirit's heart as if it truly had been rend in two, not by a blade but with the pain of his partner's fears.
There was nothing he could do.
But his soul swelled in fierce determination.
"No. Stein, you're coming back with me."
Stein did glance up then, but his eyes were hollow, already having sunk back down to somewhere within himself. The boy shook his head slightly, sullen and resigned.
"Don't...don't try to save me," he whispered, an almost imperceptible quiver in his voice. "You can't."
Spirit's fingers clenched on his partner's hand as he blew air out through his nose in frustration.
"Well you know what, Stein?"
The boy's dour expression didn't change as he stared at him.
"I don't give a damn!"

Context: Mumbo important business man and Scar incubus/imp/whatever
Mumbo sighed as he looked up from his work and saw Scar sitting on his desk. He knew he couldn't ignore the imp's presence for too long, but he was trying his best to focus on his work. “Scar, can you please move off my desk? I need to finish this project by the deadline.” Mumbo said, trying to sound composed and in control, despite the anxiety he felt inside.
Scar smirked mischievously and shook his head. “Oh, but Mumbo, I'm so comfortable here. Besides, you know you love having me around~” Scar said, his voice low and seductive as he continued to sit there like a particularly annoying cat.
Mumbo frowned, feeling a mix of annoyance and fear. He knew that Scar had a tendency to distract him from his work, and he couldn't afford any delays if he wanted to meet the deadline. “I don't have time for your games right now, Scar. Please, just let me finish my work.” he said, his stutter making his words come out in a jumbled mess.
Scar's expression softened, and he hopped off the desk to stand in front of Mumbo. “Hey, it's okay. I'll let you work in peace. Just promise me you'll take care of yourself, okay?” Scar said, his almost neon green eyes filled with concern.
Mumbo nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him as Scar disappeared from view. Despite his annoyance at the imp's antics, he couldn't help but feel grateful for Scar's caring nature. He knew that his taxing job could be both a blessing and a curse, and he was glad to have Scar around to help him navigate it all. He set an alarm before going back to work.
By the time the alarm went off, he had forgotten what it was for and turned it off before working more. As Mumbo continued working, he started to feel more and more anxious. He knew that he had a lot riding on this project, and the pressure was starting to get to him. Suddenly, he remembered the alarm he had set earlier, and he realized that he had been working for hours without taking a break.
Feeling a bit dizzy and disoriented, Mumbo got up from his desk and stumbled towards the kitchen to make himself a cup of tea. As he was pouring the hot water into the mug, he felt a sudden chill run down his spine. He knew that this was a sign that Scar was coming. Just then, Scar appeared beside him, looking concerned. “Mumbo, are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost,” he said, his voice laced with worry.
Mumbo shook his head, feeling embarrassed by his sudden panic. “I don't know, Scar. I just feel like something weird is happening. Maybe it's just my anxiety acting up.” He said, taking a sip of his tea.
Scar nodded, looking thoughtful. “Well, I'll keep an eye out for anything unusual. In the meantime, why don't you take a break and rest for a bit? You can't work yourself to the bone, you know!” he have a sharp-toothed grin, giving Mumbo a reassuring pat on the back.
Mumbo smiled weakly, feeling grateful for Scar's support. Despite anxiety, he knew that he could rely on Scar to help him through the tough times. As he sat down to rest, he made a mental note to take better care of himself in the future.
“Take a break, darling.” Scar pressed kisses along his neck.
Mumbo blushed as he felt Scar's lips on his neck, but he knew that he needed to focus on his work. “Scar, as much as I appreciate your affection, I really need to finish this project. Can we maybe save this for later?” he said, trying to sound firm but gentle.
Scar pouted, looking disappointed but understanding. “Of course, my dear. Your work always comes first~!” he said, giving Mumbo a quick peck on the cheek before disappearing from view.
Mumbo took a deep breath and tried to push the distraction out of his mind as he returned to his work. As much as he loved spending time with Scar, he knew that he had to prioritize his responsibilities. He worked tirelessly for the next few hours, only taking short breaks to stretch and rest his eyes.
Finally, as the deadline approached, Mumbo put the finishing touches on his project and hit the submit button. He let out a sigh of relief, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over him. He knew that he couldn't have done it without Scar's support and encouragement, but he was also proud of himself for pushing through his anxiety and finishing the job.
As he sat back in his chair, he felt Scar's presence beside him. “Congratulations, my love. You did it!” Scar beamed, placing a gentle hand on Mumbo's shoulder.
Mumbo smiled, feeling grateful for Scar's love and support. Despite his workload and anxiety, he knew that he had a friend in Scar who would always be there for him.
Scar returned to kissing along his neck. “You’re so good. I’m so proud of you for getting all your work done.” He purred, sultry eyes staring up at Mumbo’s.
Mumbo blushed as he felt Scar's lips on his neck again, but he couldn't help but feel grateful for Scar's praise and support. “Thanks, Scar. I couldn't have done it without you..” he said, feeling a warm sense of comfort wash over him.
Scar chuckled, his breath hot against Mumbo's skin. “Oh, I know that. But seriously, Mumbo, you did an amazing job. You should be proud of yourself!” he said, his voice full of admiration.
Mumbo smiled, feeling a sense of pride welling up inside him. He knew that he had worked hard on this project, and he was glad that it had paid off. As Scar continued to shower him with kisses and compliments, he felt a sense of contentment and happiness that he hadn't felt in a long time. He knew that he had a long way to go in terms of dealing with his anxiety and work habits, but with Scar by his side, he felt like anything was possible.

nah people tend to be chill

Sometimes, but not often, and I post it even less often. I prefer reading it to writing it, but I do like tossing around ideas I'll never write about the characters' weird and intriguing kinks lmao
10. Do you write crossovers?
I don't tend to, unless they're incredibly funny to me. Reading-wise, crossovers just annoy me because there's 2x the chances for mischaracterisation/misunderstanding of the setting(s), but sometimes a really good one can scratch my brain.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not to my knowledge!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not into another language, but I have had a podfic made of Cabin Fever -- which was great since it was a scriptfic anyway! It's really well made, go give it a listen!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Quite a few! Not in a while, but it's fun to work with someone whose brain ticks in synch with mine about a character or ship. I actually started dating my current partner in part because we were talking about a fic we wanted to write together! We'll get to it one day, and get sooo much hate about it it's quite fucked up LMAO
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
MAN. YOU CAN'T ASK ME THIS. it's like picking children. uhhh Shadowgast (Critical Role) is up there for All Timers but they are def not the only one. Probably the one I've thought most about, but now I'm thinking about Blupjeans (TAZ)... JMart.... augh. i love when people love each other despite the very terrible consequences
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
little blue pills! It's a fun concept -- I love fucking with the very rubbish trope of soulmate AUs and making them Weird and Queer, but I am not great at finishing projects and I have also cooled slightly on TMA since I started it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
big emotions! being purple prose but like good about it! Weird People.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
finishing things, plotting, writing convincing dialogue -- yknow, just little things (🥲)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
It can be done well, but it needs to be considered deeply. Also, used sparingly. I like throwing in terms of endearment in other languages, but when it's whole conversations, it's not fun to be checking google translate/the AN every five seconds.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
the first one that's still up? Layton Brothers! the first ever? harry potter 😔
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

3. Describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic
I'm the worst person to answer this I have no process sometimes I plan everything out and then write based on that and actually do what I planned, most times the characters take life and change everything and I keep trying to go back to the original plan and sometimes can still fit some things, usually not lol when I have time I just go with the flow and then if I'm interrupted I have to write down what I want to happen next otherwise I will not remember when I open the docs again, on the good days I write without actually thinking about it so I don't remember it well just feels like my fingers can't type fast enough lol very automatic
4. Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?
(I think I've answered this before in a better way) everywhere, things come to me at the most random times, usually when I'm daydreaming before falling asleep, sometimes by other books, tv shows or music but mostly it just feels like I spent six years of my life repressing my creative side so I could do physics and calculus so now that I'm letting it loose it's running wild lol
14. how do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experiences?
I don't write emotional scenes, I can't do emotional or vulnerable therefore neither can my characters which is why I mostly write from Barty/Evan's pov lol it's a different type of emotional I guess I have a dificulty in making my characters say I love you, I just cringe so badly. I don't feel what they feel at all lol and the only personal experience would be from emotions like anger
17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)
inspiration never lacks the problem is the lack of time, but when things aren't flowing I stop and go watch something, read or go to the gym until my mojo comes back

30. Do you share rough drafts or do you wait until it’s all polished?
sometimes I just post the draft lol I cannot re-read things before posting so the first few people reading are definetly getting screwed over sorry, but then I feel the pressure of having people seeing all my mistakes and it forces me to go polish it
35. What is one essential thing to remember when writing a villain?
question what are his motives and why did he chose that path and maybe not make him one-dimensional like his whole purpose isn't just to go against the hero, make him compelling, make us believe in why he chose that path make us understand him and feel sorry for his motivations, I always like that lol
43. Do you take a sadistic joy in whumping your characters, or are you more the "If you hurt them I would kill everyone and then myself" kind of person?
Definetely the first, I'm very disattached to death, I have cried in very few fics and it's not when people die lol sometimes living is more painful so I never expect people to say they cried and when they do I'm always in shock
