Mha/Khr crossover where the Tenth Gen kind of trip their way into becoming a teen vigilante group (something that Reborn finds infinitely amusing) and through a series of near misses find themselves cornered by a group of Concerned Adults who offer them a chance at “rehabilitation” and to become true heroes by going to UA on a probationary basis.

Reborn thinking it’s funny/good training so he lets it happen and even gets himself named as their homeroom teacher despite the fact he looks maybe seventeen at this point.

Including Tsuna and Izuku bonding over having generational trauma, Mukuro and Chrome breaking any and all laws of quirk science intentionally or not, Reborn and Nezu being terrifyingly good friends, and poor Aizawa Shouta who will never know peace again.

To also go off of the point about cop!akihiko being annoying to me I gotta say that Akihiko as a character is very hit or miss with me because of how different adaptations of p3 will subtly alter his character. I felt like in portable with the femc route he comes off best, he’s a bit of a hothead with an obsession with fighting, but he’s overcompensating his strength so he doesn’t feel as weak and helpless as he’s been in many situations. He defines strength in a very literal sense, being physically strong and using that to protect others, but he’s lacking in emotional strength as a result. And in particular in this version I think he’s portrayed as a bit more goofy and sweet in a sense. He cares deeply for you as a friend and leader but he struggles with finding the words to describe how he feels. Hes kinda naive and gullible and has trouble noticing his surroundings. He has no clue what he’s doing but his heart is in the right place. I think he just comes off much more human and he has flaws, many many flaws, and that makes him all the more lovable

But then in other adaptations and spinoffs it’s like. They look at him through some hetero male bullshit filter and seem to view him as a lot more admirable and cool. Like in p3 dancing, theres literally an event where he’s talking with Junpei and Minato and they’re gushing about how perfect Akihiko is and how he doesn’t seem to have ANY flaws at all. And it becomes clear his inability to flirt with women just gets added as a way to make sure you, the Straight Male Player, don’t get insecure being next to such Perfection because at the end of the day, you’re still more charming and sexy than he will ever be because you’re better. It’s a “flaw” that’s only there to shield a sensitive male ego. And then in arena I mean, come on. He’s overly beefy and is a damn cop and travels the world and loves Protein™️ it’s his whole personality and he’s so clearly meant to be seen as hot but like, he’s just some shitty hetero male fantasy. Hes what the writers deem to be a Perfect Man that every guy wishes he could be, but don’t worry he’s still bad with women so you don’t gotta worry about him stealing your property- I mean, girlfriend!

And though I’ve not played reload and don’t really plan to anytime soon, judging from his social episodes they seem to have a similar problem. Akihiko comes off as a lot less approachable, like the year age gap is just too much of a barrier to get to know him properly. And he doesn’t have that dorky sweetness he has in portable, he’s just that perfect hetero male fantasy guy and don’t you fucking worry- he still has his protein powder with him

I feel like Amon hasn't prayed often in a while because of his past, but he may still on occasion (habit), and may get back into it properly after actually resolving his feelings with the past. At some point Kaneki starts to join him. He doesn't really know How to pray, especially since a lot of it is in silence, he probably just kneels there and silently wishes for safety for his friends, for strength and resolve, etc. etc. But when Amon starts saying the actual prayers out loud he just sits there and listens to him quietly saying them.

At some point Kaneki might start mumbling along with them, he vaguely knows some of the prayers and has heard Amon say them enough times to kind of know them. Amon is surprised when Kaneki starts doing that and it just kind of becomes a Thing; maybe Kaneki even asks Amon to tell him how to pray the rosary since he sees him doing that often as well (when the rosary is prayed in a group there's one person leading that says the first half of most of the prayers and the rest say the other half, and I think it would be interesting with them alternating like that)

While Kaneki isn't catholic himself he finds it reassuring, while it's unlikely to him that there's someone out there that'll actually grant his prayers it's a nice thought, y'know? It's also just very relaxing there, even if it was kind of awkward at first

I also think Kaneki would be atheist, while he wouldn't completely deny the possibility of there being a god of some sort he also isn't really a follower of any particular belief system (note: ive actually been informed that there is a better term for this, agnostic, which is essentially being neutral lol). I think Amon would know this, and therefore doesn't really know why Kaneki chooses to pray with him despite this, but he figures that Kaneki does have a lot of things he would want to pray for, things he would want to seek forgiveness for, too, and he appreciates that Kaneki is willing to spend time with him like this anyway.

what i think is the reason I'm Just Ken is a good/as popular as it is is because the way it somehow explores both what its like to be a woman and man just through ken.

like the line "I'm just Ken. Anywhere else I'd be a ten." just feels very hitting as a woman in a social media world, especially if you've seen the truerateme subreddits and the ways they judge women.

and of course the fragility and inability to find meaning/self worth outside of a romantic relationship due to the strict boxes placed on men and male relationships (and even friendships between men and women).

theres more and i know im getting annoying with the barbie posts but i did really like the movie, regardless of how "bland" its feminism is. also just all the chronically online feminists complaining about how basic it is, like oh should we tell everyone? thinking about this ask that led to me rambling about how Stan and Kyle might have a fallout once Kyle gets romantically involved w/ cartman and I wanna go down this rabbit hole some more—

I was wondering whether Cartman fit the traits of a psychopath, sociopath or a narcissist (spoilers, Cartman is very much a textbook Narc but it’s not clear if he’s a complete sociopath, it’s hard for me to pin down bc his rare bouts of empathy and how they surface have been inconsistent and far in between seasons for me to make a call. again, it depends on the writing and direction for a particular season of sp) and in my gay ass research I kept seeing resources that constantly disclosed “do not take these descriptions and explanations of the narcissist’s childhood trauma as justification for their behavior. More importantly, you cannot fix them, so please maintain healthy boundaries and keep your distance.” and then more info is given and i immediately thought of Stan dealing w/ Kyle and Cartman dating.

It helped me realize Stan may not be okay with Kyle and Cartman dating because Stan can see through Cartman’s bullshit, doesn’t take it, and knows when to walk away. Kyle however, has always been over involved and obsessive over Cartman’s behavior, correcting it or being the one to stop him, etc. I have no doubt that when Kyle gets caught up in his emotions then rationalizes them and says he can “handle” Cartman, Stan gets pissed off. I can see him telling Kyle it’s not a matter of “dealing” with Cartman, he points out that there’s nothing Kyle can do to change him, and getting into a relationship for the purpose of change is gonna end badly. if any transformation is to take place, Cartman has to make the decision himself— which, Stan is certain he won’t, because he’s a Narcissist. (he also says so bc Stan doesn’t see the potential Cartman has the way Kyle does, but he probably won’t disclose that jfjffj)

Stan probably won’t articulate it as well and gets caught up in his own stubbornness, maybe jealousy too since his best friend is choosing to hanging out w/ his boyfriend over him, and isn’t always available like he used to (again, Stan’s aversion to change and anxiety in losing his friendships are an undercurrent here), but he’ll at least get THAT across. Kyle won’t respond well ofc… criticism is a hot button for him and he already has a lot of doubt if liking Cartman is “the right thing” hfkfkfdh

I rly would like for Kenny then, to talk w/ Stan bc obvi Kenman bffs forever and he gets Kyle, in a sense. He sees potential in Cartman too and can slap sense into Stan, like, bro, they all have a body count, none of em are in the clear, and he does think Kyle and Cartman are good for each other… not entirely for the reason Kyle claims tho. “it’s kinda always been like this, Staniel, whether we like it or not. There was always a chance they’d become a thing, and we both know that. They won’t let anyone else get in between them, and whenever something tries to, someone ends up emotionally scarred or dead.
