hiii how you're doing? i really love your AU so much, it's very original but angsty :') there's a few questions about it:
-can't timmy just wish to avoid the memory wiping or travel in the past?
-even if he's the only who'll forget, can't the rest of the nicktoons try to make him remember what they went through?
-(unrelated to the AU) what does timmy think of jimmy's parents?
but your AU makes the channel chaser even more bittersweet than it was because even if he's smiling at a picture of him as a kid (in this pictures he looks like he's about to cry but he still finds it nostlagic)
he can't really understand why he was so nostalgic about it when a good portion of his joy (his fairies and friends) is now forgotten and him smiling at the picture made it more sad :(

Absolutely, the others will do everything in their power to reverse the memory loss. But it won't be an easy feat, for at some point in their journey they might have to drop their mission altogether if they want Timmy's sanity to remain intact, whose feelings to emptiness worsens the closer the three reaches their goal 😳
Timmy thinks his bf's parents are the absolute coolest!! He plays and laughs along with Hugh's antics while he loves Judy's soothing voice and fresh-baked pies. He melts under both of their warm hugs, something he doesn't get much from his actual parents. He couldn't have asked for a better future parents-in-law 🤗
Funny story, I have not seen Channel Chasers (but I plan to soon!), but long before I hyperfixated on NU I saw that screenshot along with the others that led to this one. I had no idea that time that months later I would make something big (this AU) out of that moment alone, that Timmy would actually forget what once made him happy as a kid, but also not entirely 'cause somehow he finds himself smiling at the picture where CosWan could have been. And to an extent, the other three as well 🥲

Decided to elaborate on this post because 1.) why the fuck not and 2.) I have nothing else to do. So first I’ll start it with:
SpongeBob:
Based on Season 1 “Neptune’s Spatula” I can see SpongeBob being the God of Life. Neptune used his Divine Magic to turn SB into a God and, in theory, SpongeBob never gave up his divinity whether or not he realized it.
In “Bubbly Buddy” SpongeBob blew a bubble in a humanoid shape to keep him company when Patrick was away. By the end of the episode, it was revealed that Bubble Buddy is actually alive and sentient the whole time.

Danny:
Ghost King, literally the most basic thing anyone could ever think about.
Or he could be a guardian for new and old souls in the afterlife (NOT the ghost zone)
Jimmy:
God or Spirit of wisdom.
That’s it idk much about Jimmy’s lore and character. Or either he could be an astrology related deity.
Timmy:
God or Guardian Spirit of Memories it just make sense because Timmy’s secret wish is to be a kid forever so he can keep his fairies and memories.
I think Timmy would be the type to protect one’s memories because memories are precious according to him, especially good memories (bonus point if said person had a bad childhood and barely even has good memories about it)

just finished the new quinton reviews video about nicktoons unite and. like.
there was a version of this post i was going to make talking about my own personal nostalgia pings that were triggered by the video, but the ending of the video kinda put that aside for me bc… idk. i really just hope he’s doing okay….?
like. i love the long videos! i do! but i don’t love them just because they’re long. i find the summaries of the content he is analyzing both informative and hilarious. i think he does some really interesting and thoughtful analysis of the media he is examining. i think the themes/commentary he has which serve as the impetus for the videos to be insightful and worth thinking about, especially in the wake of his last few videos. and i truly appreciate his willingness to fully drop any bits or goofs or speculative veneer in order to address serious topics related to what he is discussing.
generally speaking… my heart really goes out to him, i guess, because yeah. he’s right. he very much Is just a guy, who happens to publish content reflective of the kinds of conversations you stay up until 3am talking to your friends about because you rewatched an old show you used to like, or had a kick of nostalgia for an old game, or found an old collection of comics on your bookshelf. and like! he’s just had a really shitty hand dealt to him recently! because he worked with his dad on this ENORMOUS video that then got nuked to hell by a greedy corporation, in the middle of hyping himself up to post a video in time to promote a plush (which i’m sure was really stressful to do bc of the previous plush)
like. dude’s just a guy. and personally i’d rather see him make stuff that he makes because he has passion for it, not stuff he makes out of obligation. but mostly i hope he can get some rest, rly, bc my god. last few years must have been a fuckin marathon.

My shitty headcanons for Nicktoons unite

Jimmy Neutron
When the group first met, he was 13
His is currently 16 and the second youngest
he's also 5'7
He was kind of a bitch for most of their first adventure, but eventually became nicer to the group
His full name is James issac Neutron
there was a time when he convinced the group into thinking his last name was Newton but someone misspelled his name on his birth certificate
when he was 14 he gave himself cybernetic implants just in case he was ever in an emergency +he didn't tell anyone (this is inspired by choraa)
sometimes when he is alone he'll use the arms/implants doc ock style
the longest time he slept was 1 hour, 58 minutes and 26 seconds
he basically lives off of energy drinks and shit
he also is anemic (iron deficient) and he doesn't know
there are a lot of times when he doesn't have his ice cream looking hairstyle bc he doesn't have time to do it, or he'll just forget
after becoming friends with Nicktoons, he became a better person and treated Carl decently and people were scared (including Carl)
his main weapon is his inventions (think of whatever)
he knows 10+ languages (English. French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Greek, Latin, Italian, Swedish and Dutch) and a few alien languages
he's gay and he thought he liked Cindy
even though he did date Cindy for a while, he did break up with her bc their relationship was falling apart (they were literally never meant to be. THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS GOING TO FAIL AT SOME POINT. THE BOAT WILL SINK)
Timmy Turner

he is the shortest and the youngest of the group
he met the group when he was 12

he kinda thinks of Cosmo and Wanda as his parents and not just God parents
he has a normal sleep schedule but he is also narcoleptic
he has ADHD and doesn't take his meds out of spite (no one knows why lmao)
he is trans (ftm)
he is bisexual with a preference for men
he may or may not have had a crush on all the members (he got over all of them except for Jimmy)
his main weapon is gun(s) both Wanda and cosmo are guns (DUEL GUNS)
his other weapon would be a bat with nails
he has a hard time with schoolwork and is really stressed about school
Daniel Fenton / Danny Phantom
He is the second oldest and second tallest
he is currently 17 and 5'7
he was 14 when they first met
when the group first got together, he tried to hide Phantom's identity from them until SpongeBob told him that he knows
he can be very nice then very threatening in a snap
he tries not to sleep bc he has a lot of nightmares from his adventures
he is probably the most powerful in the group
him and SpongeBob have the ideal friendship
he makes a lot of puns and stupid references
he has anxiety
he has panic attacks not that often and it's kinda alarming for the rest of the group
he is a bit self sacrificial bc he is already half-dead
ON THE TOPIC OF HALF DEAD- he is not affected by stab wounds
his blood is green
he is planning for a day when Jimmy and Tucker meet up and they can be "science-y" together
he didn't tell anyone in his universe about his time with Nicktoons, one day they did come to see him and everyone was confused
he is very protective over the people he loves
there will be times where he'll throw up or have green goo leak from his eyes (tgs Henry Jekyll style)
his family is his parents, Jazz, Daniel (future him) and Dani (younger female clone)
SpongeBob / Bob
He is the oldest at 18
he first met them when he was 15 (yes, he was working then)
He is a shapeshifter.
His main two forms are his normal self (sponge) and his human form
he first met the group as a sponge and didn't tell them about his abilities and they found out bc one day he accidentally turned into a human in front of them and their reactions went like this
Jimmy: *shocked, wide eyed*
Timmy: *gaw dropped, flabbergasted*
Danny: oh my god....YOU GREW, SPONGEBOB!!
After that he would spend more time as a human
he is 5'9 as a human and 4'5 as a sponge
he has the fucking hammer as his weapon bc why not
he is "glue" of the group and kinda the mom too
he is strongest in the physical strength category (he's the type of guy to hug you but then pick you up and spin you like a parent would to a baby"
he is actually a good therapist and helping the others
he'll help Danny after or during his panic attacks, he will make Jimmy sleep for once and sometimes hide his energy drinks, he'll try his best to help Timmy with his schoolwork
he is a great cook and will make for the gang
he is overworked and underpaid (I love Mr. Krabs but please pay your workers the money they deserve)
he has ADHD and autism
he pays really good attention to the others and knows there's something worth in a snap (like if Danny had a nightmare the night before, SpongeBob will know the next morning bc of how Danny acts)

They've all seen the horrors

during meals someone will tell stories of what happened in their world
