so as i was brainstorming for my reverse omens au because i also want to switch the other characters, i thought who would the antichrist be? who does adam switch with? we know that the them are parallel to the four horsemen of the apocalypse, so i have the biggest brain blast...

so even before this april fools post was made, i had been reading terry pratchett's novel, mort!! the synopsis is almost the same as what's written here, (plus death has the same desc on mort and good omens as having sparkling blue eyes) and since more people are now aware that this novel exists, i've figured i finally reveal who death/the anti-christ is in my reverse omens au!!

he's not the exact same character from the book, rather an au version of him if he was in a good omens plot (and aged down to 11)!! also he's childhood buddies with human versions of war (scarlett), famine (raven), and pollution (chalky)! i haven't drawn them much yet, but i got too excited to show some mort concept art!! 🕺

was trying to make a poster for my reverse omens au, but i'm not too proud of these cause 1) it's been years since i touched color pencils and 2) they're homeworks and i was running out of time 😭 i swear can do waaaaaaaaayyyyy better but i'll put this here anyway for archiving sake. maybe one day i'll remake this with justice 🥹

1st is concept art on procreate (which i like far more, rip), 2nd are color pencil test drives, 3rd is classmates checking my shit out 🫠

also i think i'll be sticking with the name, "bad coincidences" from now on, suggested by my sis 🫣

i absolutely LOVE composing comic pages!! i love injecting deeper visual meanings (panel choices) into what's on the surface (dialogues)!! and the way you guys have better articulated how i reinterpret this scene and somehow tear my hearts into thinier shreds is just... wow... i didn't really think this was gonna blow up even though we're just on the first page. seriously, thank you all 🥹🙏💕

Because it’s just. We spend all this time thinking about how affected and hurt Crowley would be after the final fifteen, and yes, of course he would be -- one look at his face tells you he doesn't think he'll ever come back from this, but fucking-

Aziraphale. What about Aziraphale?

Imagine how hard it would be to tell your best friend in the entire universe that you have to go. You have to, you have no choice, coffee or death — leave or death — and you both know it.

He tells you he loves you, asks you to run away with him again, and he has no idea how much you want to. No idea. You want him so badly it hurts, and on some level he knows that much, but he also knows you have to leave.

He knows, but he’s still desperate.

He looks at you with broken eyes and pleads at you with a broken voice. You put that pain in his eyes.

He kisses you, and it changes nothing except how much it will hurt you when he leaves the bookshop.

How hard would that be? To keep yourself from melting into his touch. To shoulder his confession and harden your heart, because it’s coffee or death - leave or death. How hard would that be, to keep a brave face against your abuser when the one person who has ever managed to convince you that you are more than what they say you are, is gone.

How much would that hurt?
