On March 9, 1959, at the North American International Toy Fair at 200 Fifth Avenue, Ruth Handler, founder (with her husband Elliott) of the toy company Mattel, displayed a new doll she called Barbie. Named after her daughter, the doll was meant to show that little girls could grow up to be more than mothers or caregivers—they could be firefighters, doctors, astronauts. "Experts" predicted that the doll would be a flop—they couldn't imagine children wanting to play with a grown-up doll.

They were wrong. In its first year, 300,000 Barbie dolls were sold. The first one sold for $3.00. And the rest, as they say, is history.

I tried out my amazing new rabbit tonight, here she is again looking lovely in pink

I had considered recording the first time I used it and I’m glad I didn’t. I’ve used a vibrator before and didn’t like it so didn’t think I’d like this. But I came in under 60 seconds and when I came, my pussy clenched so tightly around it that it actually hurt. I tried to turn it off but didn’t press the button down for long enough and turned it up instead and I think I came again.

Anyway, it took 5 minutes to be able to sit up and that’s the best £30 I’ve ever spent! Thanks to everyone who voted for it!

Finally got the case and safety strap in for the new phone! So, I feel safer actually handling it to get it fully up and running as a replacement.

(Actually ordered two cases and two styles of strap, to see which I liked better. Which leaves the other ones for backup.)

För now, I decided not to root it after all, and just go with the stock Graphene experience. Always the option of making sure my data is thoroughly backed up, and doing that later if I really want to.

One of my best friends stopped by with my jacket that I had left in their car and they also went and got my dog nelly a toy! Nelly is loving her new toy! I’m so thankful.
