Finally got the case and safety strap in for the new phone! So, I feel safer actually handling it to get it fully up and running as a replacement.

(Actually ordered two cases and two styles of strap, to see which I liked better. Which leaves the other ones for backup.)

After waiting patiently to be eligible to do an upgrade, I was finally able to get the Google Pixel 7. And it figures, on the same exact day I went to T-Mobile to get it, Google releases ads for the Pixel 8 line.

It's that time of the year again! 🍁🍂 Fall leaves, cooler weather, hot chocolate, and new adventures to take more photos. I can't believe it's been nearly 2 years since my wife and I took this trip to Lake Tahoe for my birthday. I took these photos and videos with my Pixel 7 Pro, but the new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro were just announced and released today. I am super excited to use it and try all of the new features, like Pro Controls, Magic Editor, Group Photos, Zoom Enhance, Night Sight for Video, and much more! I'm a total tech geek 🤣

Mini-update: Totodile did a good job while I was gone. We do, indeed, have a fully functioning de-Googled phone.

Which I am not doing much more with tonight, since I am very tired--and also too klutzy at the best of times to trust myself handling a bare phone very much. When I'm this tired, even less so. It's also just going to get the data wiped again when/if I do root it.

(Yes, this idea makes some people upset. I know what I'm about, and have my reasons.)
