The crown is the best period drama series I ever watched. The writing, the costumes, the cast, research into each events and their execution? Perfection. Yes, it's probably a propaganda to sympathize with the royal family or whatever but gosh, the emotions it invokes...so raw and human. You feel for each character. A lot of historical series are sometimes just overly acted but The Crown was more grounded in that aspect which made me like it so much.

Another historical series I would definitely recommend is Medici the Magnificent. Both of these series have a banging osts.

Started watching The Crown at long last with The Captain, Pat and Julian. Is this really what Queen Elizabeths’ go through these days? Family politics and colonies?? Talk about boring! Sure there’s some war - who hasn’t been there - but what about the swords and the plotting? At least there’s no head’s being cut off though, so it’s not all bad. 👍🏼
