“You just couldn’t stay away, huh?” Tyler asks, familiar boyish grin affixed upon his lips. It’s the one part of him that hasn’t changed, hasn’t been whittled into emaciation by the imprecise knife of imprisonment. His face is thinner, his eyes weighed down by dark bags; his already lanky frame is swallowed up by the garish jumpsuit he wears; if she looked at his wrists, Wednesday guesses she would find angry gouges where Tyler’s been straining against the shackles that bind him.

But his smile persists. Playful curiosity, a trait in which Wednesday had once found kinship, still lingers in his eyes.

Silence stretches between them as Tyler watches Wednesday watching him, neither wanting to be the first to break.

Wednesday’s got more practice winning their battles of will, though, and she prevails again here: eventually Tyler’s smile fades, and his eyes skate away from hers. “If you’re looking for answers, you won’t find any here,” he says. “You’ll just end up disappointed.” Sarcasm creeps into his tone, acrid like the bite of a mousetrap around Wednesday’s fingers. “But I guess you already know everything there is to know about Hydes, don’t you? That’s why I’m in here, and you’re out there, instead of the other way around.”

He gestures viciously toward the glass window that separates them. Its faint blue tint belies the nightshade sandwiched between the panes, the most obvious of the antioutcast measures that reinforce the divider. The nightshade is meant to deter any attempts to shatter the glass and escape via the visitors’ room, but Wednesday has already come up with three different methods for counteracting it. She’s certain she could combat the other antioutcast measures, too, given enough time to discover what they are.

“You don’t know what questions I’m asking,” she finally responds.

“Then why don’t you enlighten me,” he hisses.

“They’re not questions for you.”

He laughs quietly, bitterly. It’s a beautiful sound. “Of course not. Why would they be? You’ve never been interested in me. Not until you found out I was a monster, too.”

Wednesday tips her head imperceptibly at the outburst, the abundance of insight capable of being gleaned from just a few syllables. Monster: a revelation, a peeling back of the gleeful, sadistic nonchalance Tyler affects in an attempt to obscure the self-loathing he feels. Too: for him, this glass window is akin to a mirror, and Wednesday his reflection. Wednesday, a monster, too.

How loathsome. The thought could almost make her smile.

Tyler lunges suddenly toward her, seemingly having grown tired of Wednesday’s silent contemplation. The glass rattles with the impact, then again when he pounds his fist against it. He snarls at her, wide-eyed, face taut with contempt, body trembling as though he’s trying and failing to shift. Throughout all of this pageantry, Wednesday does not flinch.

Instead, she wonders if he, too, has realized he is a Hyde without a master. She wonders if it frightens him not to have another target, not to have someone showing him the acceptable directions in which to unleash his resentment. She wonders if he has even begun to explore the unending depths of monstrosity that now yawn open inside him, or if he is still tiptoeing around their edges, waiting for someone to guide him deeper.

He's right about one thing. Though Wednesday had always found Tyler interesting, even before she knew the truth, his flavor of interesting had been peripheral at best, secondary to the more pressing interests at hand.

But now he’s of interest.

And Wednesday is interested.

She stands. “I have always been honest with you about my intentions. I’ll grant you the privilege of that honesty once more,” she says. “You don’t frighten me.”

“Then you’re a fool,” he says, voice so richly scornful she could almost bite into it—into him—and feel it burst into bitter flame on her tongue. “And you deserve everything that’s coming to you.”

“I wouldn’t want it any other way,” she promises. And with a crisp pivot and Tyler’s gaze burning into her back, she departs.

Okie, so I’ve been thinking a lot about Neko!Wednesday (I know it’s stupid but it’s all I got and it’s surprisingly accurate)

And I’ve especially been thinking about what you said Stream, about Wednesday not really having midnight zoomies like I thought she might. And I’ve decided you’re right! I had to think about it a little more in character and I think I’ve got it!

So, instead of running around in the middle of the night, I think that whenever Wednesday gets these random bouts of energy and excitement, she’d just be doing the things she normally does, faster! So she’ll be in the middle of writing when all of a sudden, her hands start typing at the speed of fuckin light!! Or she’s out on the balcony, playing cello and she bangs out fucking,,, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture in three minutes flat or something i don’t fucking know lmaooooo

But all that’s just in the dorm and Enid’s the only one to see that.

In public, it’s WAY different. The speed that she does stuff is still faster but only barely noticeable and only to the one person in the entire school that’s watching her all the time,,,,, ENID!!!!

Hmmm, the rot is braining right now…

I feel like she'd also end up doing things more aggressively too 😭

So the first time it happens, you have Enid wondering if Wednesday is mad but nope, there is nothing tense in her roomie! If anything, she looked quite at peace

stuff i remember about the qsmp before purgatory? (not in chronological order)

-> Spreen singing an apology song to Wilbur to which the latter flees because the former said "disputa" (it was probably the first thing I reblogged about it)

-> QUACKITEEEEEEE! WILBURRRRRRR!

-> Wilbur adopting Tallulah for the first time. I remember them picking names together- He thought about calling her "Sacapuntas", she mentioned how her favorite word was "Wednesday" and how "Tallulah" sounded like a pretty musical note.

-> Roier and Vegetta pulling up to a strip club and poledancing and doing sus stuff (as part of a plan to get Quackity to drop some huge stuff while drunk)

-> "All the eggs are going to die" or smth idk

-> Slime going on a killing spree targeting all the eggs and trying to brute-force his way into Chayanne's room

-> Philza, Chayanne and Tallulah encounter the Nightmare Stalker resulting in the biggest angst of the week

Devil Fruit: Neko Neko No Mi, Model: Calico (zoan type)

Ayara 🍀 is a female original character, depicted with a dark green hair with a black colored peek a boo hair style. The hair is styled as a semi-jellyfish or long wolf cut. Green eyes and green brows.

Her age is a year younger than ace, her personality is often seen as an optimistic and always curious. She always talks what she has in mind and hates lies. Also can be a bit brute but she never has the intention to hurt without reason.

Baroque Works (Double Agent),

as a part of the revolutionary army, she joined baroque works as a double agent to investigate about the organization and things that they’re up to. She was able to join without suspicion of the upper ranks and crocodile making her job easier and did not draw much attention to herself being as slick as a cat. She was one of the upper rank with 20-ish code name thanks to her great power and ability (devil fruit).

As for her relationship with some of the members at baroque works, she has acquainted with Miss All Sunday and Miss Wednesday after some occasions. Not the best of relationship but they know each other.

Neko Neko No Mi, Model: Calico. is a zoan type fruit that allows her to transform into a calico cat form and have the ability of what a cat can do!

Ayara is a girl who always expresses herself freely, and with that her devil fruit suits her perfectly. Her personality is already a cat person, she does what she wants and is unbothered.

She ate the devil fruit when she was 10, thinking it was a treat that her mother bought, the fruit was laying on a coffee table at her backyard. After a while she was surprised by how long and sharp her finger nails are, she was also able to see clearly at night when it was so dark. One time she transformed to her cat form and almost causing heart attack to her mother. After a short while they were able to accept the fact that she ate a devil fruit and is learning more day by day about it.

she was born and raised in the East Blue only by her mother. She has one big brother.

DO YOU PREFER REAL-LIFE OR ANIMATED SHOWS?

Both, although there is a definite bias towards the former.

With the latter it greatly depends on the overall quality of the show, as well as the style in which it is presented.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST FANDOM?

As a child I had quite some:

Disney Ducks, Pippi Longstocking, Ronja Rovarsdóttir, Princess Fantaghirò, Queen Millenia, and The Addams Family.

While I never was a gamer myself, I very much loved to watch others play games - especially the classic Sonic games, as well as the Super Mario ones … which you can (somewhat) call a childhood fandom of mine, too.

WHAT’S THE LONGEST YOU’VE EVER BEEN IN A FANDOM? WHAT FANDOM WAS IT?

I'm in the Star Wars fandom since the age of twelve, which, in fact, was some years before the prequels came out.

A PERSON WHO GOT YOU INTO A FANDOM. WHAT FANDOM DID THEY PULL YOU INTO?

@mikeilo got me interested in Prince Phobos (W.I.T.C.H.) several years ago, but to say that I was “involved” in the fandom is a bit too much. It was more about this particular character, though.

No idea.

Tbh, I hardly search for fandom stuff on Tumblr - given experience showed me that the majority here and I don’t get along, taste-wise.

HAS TUMBLR CAUSED YOU TO STOP LIKING ANY FANDOMS? IF SO, WHICH AND WHY?

No, why should I let a community affect my love for a fandom!? It’s not the fandoms’ / characters’ / authors’ fault that some people are just plain disagreeable and obtrusive.

If anything, it has just reinforced my aversion against the things I disliked from the get-go - especially if there is some “activist” fanaticism, connected with aggressive, proselytizing behaviour involved.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE OTHER PEOPLE IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM(S)?

Ambivalent.

There are some obnoxious brats, which should be ignored at best. Drama is a waste of time and energy!

Then again, there are also some very nice people out there.

Most of the time I prefer to have just a few contacts, anyway - i.e. like-minded ones I & my preferences & convictions get along with. Those, I do appreciate greatly, though.

Friendships are an entirely different matter, though. But that wasn’t the subject of this question here, was it!?

As someone who has always been fascinated by ancient myths, I can’t help but love this stuff.

occult / magical elements

Given I am interested in these subjects, I very much like to see (and incorporate) these themes in the fictional universes and characters I like.

anachronistic elements / fusion of different historical period styles

For example, say, Cyber Victorian (garments that combine Victorian era designs with a Matrix style twist, plus futuristic technology, and a setting in a likewise futuristic world)

scientifically sound elements and reasoning

I think this is a quite important aspect, especially in sci-fi.

philosophically & politically inspiring + visionary elements

Such as caste-free social structures & natural law anarchy (not to be confused with the “rule of force” one, let alone the woke version).

scientists, explorers, philosophers & (martial) artists

I just happen to enjoy seeing these types of characters.

It certainly adds some “spice” to the mixture.

Should be a given, but unfortunately isn't, more often than not - especially these days. Shame!

If not canon, I’ll do it myself.

I've always been fascinated by the concept of redemption.

In connexion with my favourite villains, it is a theme I am quite obsessed with and can't do without, as I find evil as such not appealing at all. In fact, what makes these characters attractive to me is their power & potential, and not their misuse of it. The process of redemption finally brings said potential out and puts it to good use, which I find deeply satisfying.

Plus there is also the element of defying the forces of darkness, who always twist and pervert - and this is the ultimate solution to it, making everyone and everything whole again.

Imho, redemption arcs are a great "f**k you" to the devil & I love it all the more for that!

It’s a dynamic that I find particularly intriguing - always have - also regarding the redemption theme.

Why yes, that’s just my personal preference, as that is something I can actually relate to.

not overly sexualized portrayals of relationships

I just don't want to see the explicit content (graphic description of genitals, for instance). Most of the time it's enough when it's just hinted at.

Or if you want to write about the sexual act, then at least express yourself in a more pleasant manner - it doesn't always have to be this crude, pornified language.

If anything, make the characters make love - with all the emotional intensity, intimacy, and tenderness that should be there - and not just plain fuck, like mere beasts.

portrayal of female characters where being badass and being feminine isn’t mutually exclusive

Darth Vader doesn’t die and gets the chance for an actual redemption arc, atoning for his ill deeds as the Dark Lord - as an act of purification and reclaiming his original, true name - as well as helping the Alliance free the galaxy. (given how powerful he is, his contribution would be immense)

more importantly - he finally has the opportunity to make up with and actually get to know his children - especially Leia. That has always bugged me a great deal. Ani didn’t even get the chance to talk to his daughter. There is just too much focus on the father-son dynamic anyway. Nothing against Luke – love him, but it’s just not right that Leia was being left out of it almost entirely. Plus she is the one that resembles her father more (personality-wise) after all. I’d so have loved to see a confrontation of these two. (not to mention some cute father-daughter moments, eventually)

An Over Written Post About Hilary Cass

Hey, so chances are, you folks have probably heard about something in the UK that cam out recently called the Cass Report. Named after the woman behind it, Hilary Cass, the report purports to provide a thorough, impartial evaluation of trans healthcare in the UK, with the intention of being used a guidance going forward.

Now, if you've already heard about the report, you've probably also heard how this this thing has more holes than swiss cheese and seems to be held together by spit, safety pins and seething hatred for us uppity queers. For example, you probably heard how Cass chose to disregard 50 out of 51 studies that support the current model of trans health care, on the grounds that they didn't utilize a "Double Blind study group", something that is recognised by medical professionals to both unethical and untenable in this situation, whilst accepting as evidence four studied that suggested trans healthcare had negligible results, all four of which ALSO did not make use of a double blind.

She also believes the toys children play with are biologically pre-determined. Seriously. Boys like trucks, girls like dollies, basic biology, simple as.

But this overly long post isn't about the report, it's about Hilary Cass the person. Who is this totally impartial, fair and balanced individual?

Well, this exact same Hilary Cass has personally warned the Conservative Minister for Equalities (this is actually very funny, trust me), Kemi Badenoch, of the "risks" of any kind of ban on conversion therapy.

In addition, Hilary Cass is a follower and supporter of far-right anti trans hate group, "Transgender Trend", an astroturfed UK group that was one of many found to have been the receipient of vast amounts of dark money from US Conservative groups such as the Heritage Foundation and Alliance Defending Freedom.

"But wait Neko!" I hear you cry, "Us poor Yanks are feeling all left out, is there anything she's done over on our side of the pond?" Well, my hypothetical American reader, there is, how astute of you.

Cass has also worked very closely with Patrick Hunter of the Catholic Medical Association as a consultant on potential anti-trans and anti-LGBT legislation to be implemented by Govenor Ron DeSantis. The CMA is an overtly anti-LGBT organisation and Hunter himself is purportedly part of a group of anti-trans activists working across the United States to undermine and undo LGBT rights, for which he was hand picked by Ron DeSantis for his role in the "Florida Review".

So yeah.

Hilary Cass: A fair, balanced, impartial, hate group following, conversion therapy supporting, fascist policy advising writer of the Cass Report.
