I love crappy set dressing. This teen girl football player has a big poster with nothing but a ball on it. I'm not saying teenaged girls wouldn't have football posters up, ofc they would. I just doubt they'd be blown up clip art 🤣
Me: yeah no i can cook gutwrenching Batman headcanons
Gotham TV: baby Bruce curls besides Alfred's hospital bed after Alfred gets stabbed in the heart, never leaves his side for one moment to the point that Gordon has to bring him food, he's red faced and hicking up all the time, whispers to Gordon "i can't lose him; he's all i have," and after Alfred comes back to life he brings books from Wayne Manor and softly reads horror bedtime stories to Alfred during the day until Alfred eases down and falls asleep
i have watched amcwtv! some really fun stuff especially with Claudia (her face when she thinks she's made a friend is so magnetically beautiful) and dreamstat was predictably great, but hm. this interview. armand and louis' evil scheme to get Daniel, specifically, to write the story they want. i trust they're going to justify it eventually but i have to admit i'm sitting here unimpressed because aside from "a very idiosyncratic attempt at spicing up their marriage" i cannot imagine what would make this particular dude worth the effort. like yes they (louis?) want to tell a vampire story and convince a human journalist of two truths and a lie but this seems like way too much work to accomplish that end. however daniel's little face when armand and louis walk in all lovey dovey and put on a show was funny. i will give them that. maybe they just wanted to feel something.
mostly this is the claudia show so far and Delainey Hayles seems up to it! she's a delight and so is her claudia, and i really enjoyed all the stunts they gave her. she's properly menacing and there were a few times i was genuinely worried she was going to eat a bunch of humans i liked, but it's impossible not to feel for her and it's so much fun to watch her go. excellent monster protagonist.
Tbh the funniest thing I've seen crop up for mob psycho s3 is when people complain about the characters being off model. Like.... really?? Off-model animation... in mob psycho 100.. Ohhg the horror. Surely the roughness and creativity and freedom in style hasn't literally always been part of this show's art direction.. mob psycho has never been off-model before. Yup.....
Like:
[ID: various screenshots of characters in Mob Psycho 100 getting off-model, either by being stretched, drawn with wobbly or messy lines, having intentionally bad anatomy, or colored in with botchy, stark colors. End ID.]
…..should I watch Hazbin Hotel? The more I see of it the more I’m like oh this is kinda silly this is kinda fucky YOURE TELLING ME A LESBIAN BUILT THIS HOTEL???? So now I’m like ooooo should I?
it's definitely not for everyone, but it so unapologetically is itself that i appreciate the earnestness, even if it comes off a little corny/edgy at times. and it looks fantastic imo, there's always something great to look at onscreen, to the point you can pause it anywhere and get a great image, it's crack for my adhd pretty colors and shapes brain. also the songs have become unexpected earworms i keep coming back to.
i recommend starting with the free pilot on youtube because its events are still canon and properly introduce the characters/foreshadow a lot of later stuff, tho it def has a different vibe from the series proper. the total commitment, assuming you watch all the way through, is 9 half-hour episodes (less, actually, only the pilot hits the 30 min mark and the pacing is much better for it, amazon LET THEM COOK AS LONG AS THEY NEED TO STOP CUTTING THEM SHORT GRRR!!), so not a big timesink.
and yes, charlie and vaggie are an established, adorable couple with their own struggles, i especially love what the last three episodes do with their relationship and characters. after episode 6 reading the fic the diving bell enhanced my appreciation for them tenfold, and it turned out to be right about some stuff in episode 7! hope u enjoy!
so i dropped off of night vale during like year 3 or 4 from a mix of being tired of bad tumblr discourse and a service industry job that left me too tired to listen to things.
now that i have a pithy desk job where i can listen to podcasts all day no prob, ive been catching up
i go to silas the thief pt 1/2 today and.... i love him. hes awful and disgusting and not sorry about most things but...... im so sorry the instant he "~correctly~" pronounced the artists' names i adored him. very much in that "grab him by the scruff of the neck and strap him underneath a microscope for long term observation" sort of way
Ooooh, you've got some good tastes there, I've been meaning to check out Behind the Bastards myself. If you are an Adventure Zone enjoyer, I can and will point you towards Dungeons and Daddies (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), and SkyJacks. If you want more I can pass a few more your way ez pz~
Behind the Bastards is a good one but i would definitely. space it out with some lighter topics cos some of those eps get Dark. I havent gotten into the DnD/Roleplaying podcasts yet, i struggle with more like....fictional ones? but i think TAZ is on my eventual list.
