Since my cat won’t let me read again (love you, Alley) I have something awful to share about my mom. The behavior I will share is atrocious, and I mean that whole-heartedly.
TW: Serious car accident, drunk driving, mention of injuries, and of course how awful my mom is.
There was a serious car accident in my neighborhood last night. A drunk driver was driving 80 mph on a street where the speed limit is 30 mph, and she smashed into a house, the car went airborne (I can’t remember at which part it flipped over, but it did), and then hit a pole. Drugs and alcohol and a baby’s carseat were strewn across the road. The engine was in the yard across the street. What was left doesn’t resemble a car AT ALL. It looks like smushed metal and that’s it. Thankfully there wasn’t a baby in the car at the time, but the driver was severely injured. The people who lived in the house which had apartment units inside were displaced. Three families displaced, and one woman severely injured and surely traumatized.
Overall, something absolutely dreadful, and horrible.
What does my mom keep telling everyone, while actually beaming, and giggling with glee? That she was on the news because she was loitering around as people do at accidents out of curiosity and the back of her was on the news. She gleefully told me this last night after a nap, and it was the first thing she said to me this morning. She took screenshots of herself to send to people. Because the back of her was on the news.
I’m absolutely sickened to be living with this woman, to have been raised by her, to even know her. This is true narcississm at work.

Quick question so i know using "narcissistic personality disorder" as an insult/synonymous w inherently abusive is Gross and ableist but i worry sometimes that ppl use just the term narcissist by itself to imply the same thing?
Idk basically is Narcissist not always synonymous w npd and it? Can be neutral term vs bad connotations, right? In theory anyway, ppl have bad connotations w the term but i dont think its always bad to be narcissistic so long as ur self aware abt.it and not bein a bigot or abusive asshole, same as like Pretty Much Every Other Personality Trait a person can have?

What’s an Author
The Philosopher Roland Barthes in his phenomenal essay has proclaimed the death of the author, meaning the text ritualizes into life with interpretative reading and writing. The author comes to life with the writing of the text.
Here in this essay, I would like to enunciate what is meant by an author. The following are the ideas of narration that I have developed.
1 Aestheletics
Aestheletics is birthed from the words, aesthetics and dialectics. Aesthetics as we know is the science of beauty. Dialectics has come from the philosopher Hegel and later developed by Marx as an ideology of class struggle. For the Philosopher Hegel, dialectics meant that every proposition had a thesis followed by the antithesis and then a synthesis. For the Philosopher Marx the idea of dialectics was class struggle and class war against the ideological apparatuses of the State. Now what is Aestheletics? Aesthelectics (Aesthetics and dialectics) is a dialogic encounter of the author to the writing of the text. The class war of the author, derived from Marx comes to a transition with the socio-cultural ruminations of the author to write a text. History, gender, politics, and culture become the role playing models which engage the writer into the writing of the text. The text makes a transition from the conditioning ideologies of the society and culture to a liberalism and iconoclasm. The ritual of the text is a poem of subjectivity.
2 Mental Corybantism
Corybantism comes from Greek culture from the lexicon of Corybantic meaning a drunken revelry and a ritualistic dance and sexual orgies of Greek dancers. Mental corybantism for the author is the dance of creative ideas and the writer has to indulge in creative madness to birth a text. The author is becoming of the text. The author is a dance in streams consciousness narrative. The muse of the author becomes creativity in altered states of consciousness. The pen becomes a persona of poetic subjectivity. The pen is a garland of copulation. The pen is an ecstasy of mental madness. The pen is a ritual of sweet masochism and sadism. Letters are poems which wake up in the pen.
3 Psycho-Catharsis
Psycho-catharsis is an ideology of internal reflection and the bringing out of the Socratian womb and exodus of creativity. The form of the text is from the ego of the author. Psycho-catharsis proceeds to the unconscious of the author. Texts become phallic or vaginal in the writing of the discourse. The gaze of the text is an appropriation of intentionality. The text is a ritual of the excess of a deranged mind to copulate in the ecstasy of Freud’s calypso. The narratology of the text is the subversion of the id, the sublimation of the ego and the violation of the ideology of the super-ego.
4 Ideo-Genesis
Ideo-genesis is the propulsion of the text to give rise to new ideas. Ideo-genesis is the copulation of the ideas with the figures of speech. Ideas can be sexual, political, mythical, psychological and social. Ideo-geneis is a writeIcide (write and homicide) meaning the killing and massacre of customs, culture and traditions of the society. The pen becomes a ritual of incest. The pen is the flower of an orgasm.
5 Lexis –Narcissism
Lexis Narcissism is the sophistication of the style of the author. The author becomes an auto-machine of creative manifestation. Lexis is the muse of the words in engaging the pen in a torpedo of acceleration. The narcissism of the self is the vehicle of carrying the ideology of the self to mastery in self-transcendence. The text is a manipulation of vocabulary. The text is an aesthetic sign of being written on.
6 Economy of Self Contentment
Economy of self-contentment is the muse of the involvement of the self of the writer to be edified with written aura of self-gratification. The Sisyphus of Camus unlike boredom, nausea and apathy, transforms himself into an oasis of creative subjectivity. Sisyphus becomes a creative machine and like Icarus he is bold enough to fly up to the sun and not get burnt. The writer in his writing overcomes the ritual of suicide and becomes a begetter of creating the ritual of accomplishment.
7 Polyphonic Gymnastics
Polyphonic-gymnastics has come from the idea of the Philosopher Michael Bakthin, that source of the text is dialogic encounter of meta-textuality and inter-textuality. The phone and the sign of the text becomes a ritual masquerade of a dialogue with ideas. The text copulates with the signifier and the signified. Meanings become an explosion as the signs of writing. The text becomes an orgy of edifying letters. The passion of the author is a ritual of self-becoming. Writing is the template of self-gratification.
Lastly I would like to conclude that: What is an author is answered in the text with the literature and philosophy of discourse. The self of the writer is a play of becoming. The self is a playful masochistic and sadistic phallus. The self is a ritual of meaning. The self is the subversion of the self and deification to an ecstasy of sublimation.
The terms that I have used for what’s an author are: Aesthelitics, mental corybantism, psycho-catharsis, ideo-genesis, lexis narcissism, economy of self-contentment, and polyphonic gymnastics.

What don’t you agree on?
I’m only referencing the bits relating to Sonic and Dr Eggman in those notes. I don’t want to be here all day. For the record, said notes are here.
- Don’t agree wholly with the “listens to reason” thing. Twice in SatBK (His most triumphant depiction IMO), Sonic refuses to heed what is pretty much sound reasoning i.e 1 - Refuses to heed Caliburn to get cracking on trying to fulfill Nimue’s requests whe doing so would compel her to instruct him in a way that would facilitate a stronger oppoition to Arthur and 2 - Refuses to heed the three knights to stop and flee from Merlina when she has him on the ropes.
A writer with a good grasp of Sonic as a character has him answer to no one’s reasoning but his own even if it’s arguably foolish as Sonic himself follows his own feelings. But we know why this is in that document - For the sake of making to Sonic-Sally dyamic look good, to make Sally look relevant and important. She was a creator’s pet afterall.
- Don’t agree at all with Sonic’s idea of a romantic evening. Nope. Sonic may be arrogant and boastful but he’s not narcissistic to the point of languishing in self-adoration like that. In fact, he’s capable of modesty despite his ego. SatAM!Sonic called Flynn. He want’s his loathesome narcississm back.
- So-so on the Eggman not being cagey or good at strategy. Whilst it is true that Eggman tends to lack foresight especially when desperate or enraged, he is still capable of some geuinely clever shit and insight/foresight. Like when he saw right through the fake emerald plan in SA2 and was leading Sonic on throughout Unleashed’s intro, successfully enacting the first phase of his plan.
- Eh. Important distinction to make is that Eggman isn’t evil for evil’s sake. He’s callous and uncaring in the execution of his plans, the means to realize them but doesn’t get up in the morning thinking “In what way can I kick the dog today?”
- Don’t really agree. Eggman, at the end of the day, is quite self-righteous in his visions and whatsmore does it partly because he wants attention because his desire for fame is larger than his fat gut. I wouldn’t call it “childish” as much as I’d call it “obsessive”. It’s not the doctor’s intelligence that causes his world viewpoint and inability to think like other people. It’s his obsessiveness and self-righteousness as well as his flagrant narcissism.
- No. Don’t agree that he crushes nations and families for giggles. Eggman is not a sadist. What he does is a means to a end. Not for the evulz.
- Disagree. Eggman’s fright factor again doesn’t stem from his desire to do stuff for the evulz. It stems from his non-chalance about the things he does to serve his ends. Which don’t involve arbitrary sadism.
- Again, disagreed. Eggman does have a line he won’t cross - He won’t destroy the world intentionally as he’d have nothing left to conquer.
