What are your thoughts regarding why tumblr is ignoring our distaste for "Live" and it's popularity with pornbots?
Tumblr has been trying to be the next Instagram for 10 years and now is trying to be the next Tik Tok, hence the "Live" thing. Tik Tok is under constant threats by the White House (it doesn't matter the Administration) because it is owned by the Chinese company and therefore also by the government. Here is the article of President Biden backing bill to ban TikTok in the U.S.
There's been an uptick in Tumblr accounts thanks to refugees from Reddit and Twitter, and if Tik Tok isn't sold and gets banned in the U.S, then those Tik Tokkers may go to Tumblr, everything gets monetized and your followership numbers exposed.
If Tumblr doesn't become the next Tik Tok and it's going to try to be a version of Only Fans, hence the privacy feature. Maybe that has something to do with pornbots, who can say.
Anyways, I just saw on my dash that you can mute Live for 30 days.

Just got caught up with The Mandalorian. I hope season 4 gets back to basics with Din and Grogu training.
Enough with the other characters having big storylines.
I'm not holding my breath for it but that would be great cause this season was such a no from me, the writers completely forgot what had made this show good in the first place.
And if they decide not to do that, I hope we get told from the beginning and don't get played like we were this season.

After nine years on Tumblr, I'm still amazed at asks (usually anon) complaining about our blogs.

this is the classic story of most desi households haha my own wasn't too different. though i can kind of understand where her mother is coming from. she's afraid kamala might forget her roots and culture. at the same time i definitely feel like her mother knows something (see how quick she was to dismiss the wrist cuff as "junk" and hide it away, the numerous references to coming from a family of unrealistic dreamers, and her reaction when kamala came back from the party). so i'm curious to find out what the situation is with kamala's grandmother!
i LOVE abbu. LOVE him, he's so cute! the absolute dad-ness of him. his excitement over the zuzu system and then his annoyance (haunted by a djinn lmao). i won't lie, i got so upset when abbu was hurt by kamala, i almost cried myself. i guess adulthood means understanding the parents in tv shows more than the kids 馃ぃ anyway yes we need to protect abbu.
what did you think of it overall? personally i really REALLY enjoyed the cultural elements, i felt sooo seen. and the music! the song over the credits is by eva b, i adore her.
