What kind of difference will your antiharm have from the usual ones? I know you said something about an iseki(spelling???) story. Is that the antiharem?
OHOHOHO I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED!!!!
So my isekai story is different to the antiharem. the isekai is a slavetale with multiple au's where MC gets trapped in the body of the villan and now has to act mean to the skeletons she collect to protect them because they're her favourites but she's not good at being mean and despite her best efforts all the skeletons like her. She has to try and get them to hate her so they won't get taken away. It's very stereotypical and I see it being full of fangirling.
I freaking love this antiharem idea in case you missed my first two post here are some ideas about it so far:
Part 1
Part 2
I've read quite a few since writing these and here are some things I won't be doing if I write it.
MUTT WON'T BE THE FIRST ONE TO TRUST MC!!! like, why why is it always Mutt? He just always is the one who always believed in MC and their best friends and WHY? Like once or twice fine but every time?! not this time
Papyrus won't be being abused by anyone. Neither will any of the other skeletons, I don't need it please and thank you.
Mc will probably come across as mean but really I want her to stand up for herself, not take shit from anyone else and have super thick skin.
Most of the skeletons are in love with MC but don't know it's MC that they like. Orange likes his gaming buddy, Blue has a sort of Cinderella thing going on, Sans is in love with the person leaving cute jokes on the science whiteboard, Red wants to bang the person from two years ago, Berry fell for her somewhere along the way, Syrup and her get close after a near death experience and Edge.... uh IDK, he has a crush on his 'secret admirer 'at work who keeps leaving him gifts (you're just being nice)
I currently only have like the eight skeletons but I could be convinced to change who the are or add like one more pair of brothers. the Horror brothers could be fun, so could Wine and Coffee WHY ARE THEY'RE SO MANY HOT SKELETONS.
Love the collage au so many tropes to do do want to do them all.
MC might be genderfluid.... I'm tempted to do that
Mc is defiantly a delinquent at school or appears to be and probably studying either art or some sort of science, either way they help in the lab
Some of the skeletons are professors some are students
Mc works multiple jobs including, Lab assistant, waitress at a cosplay cafe, line chef at a restaurant, maybe a cleaner too. They just like working though and don't need the money or anything. all of the jobs are more like hobbies then anything else.
Hobbs would make an appearance as MC's best monster friend. The two yell at each other a lot.

I want an XF like series where the aliens have been pulling the strings of big oil in a decades long plot to make the earth hotter so the aliens could comfortably live here. The extinction of humanity is just a side benefit. They manipulated elections and public sentiment to allow it to occur too. Not through any high tech wizardry, just by playing on human greed and bigotry.
In the final season the heroes reveal the existence of aliens, and the globe works to defeat them the only way they can - by declaring war on climate change. Carbon emissions and livestock production is immediately slashed. The change in people's lifestyles are seen as patriotic sacrifices. Even trump voters compete in having the lowest carbon footprint.
The heroes, especially the sceptic of the pair, start to have questions. Some things still don't add up. In the final episode it's revealed that while the threat of extinction of humans by climate change is very real, the evidence it was an alien plot is not. It was created by environmentalists in a desperate last ditch effort to save the world.
"We warned people for decades. Showed them study after study. Nothing worked," the climatologist said. "They denied the evidence right in front of them. Giving them an external enemy was our last chance. We are fighting for the fate of the earth. That part is true. Does it really matter who the enemy is if the result is literally saving the world?"
The heroes now have to make a decision. They've spent years fighting to reveal the truth and see justice served for all those harmed by this plot, at great personal sacrifice. Do they reveal the truth, and risk going back to policies that doom the planet, or keep quiet?

“Wilbur, it is four fifty-eight! I checked the wall clock!” Ghostbur stops for a moment. “Wall clock. That sounds a little bit dramatic. How do-“
“Ghostbur, you need to hide.”
Ghostbur’s eyes widen (thank goodness, he’s finally looked away from the bloody mirror). “You called me Ghostbur!”
“What?”
“You haven’t called me Ghostbur since we met! Even though I’ve called you Wilbur a lot!”
Wilbur stares, dumbstruck, for a few seconds. Then he shakes his head. “Okay, I don’t care! You need to hide!”
“Hide? But I just got here.”
“Listen: Technoblade is coming.”
“Technoblade?”
“Yes, Technoblade. My flatmate.”
“You have flatmates?!” Ghostbur squeaks, holding his hands to his chest and shaking them excitedly. “I didn’t know you had flatmates!”
“Just one, and he doesn’t know about you. So come on, just hide!”
“So we’re surprising him?”
“Hide!” Wilbur explodes, racing forwards and pushing Ghostbur away from the mirror himself, paying no attention to Ghostbur’s surprised yelp.
Where to go, where to go, where to put him, where to go, where to-
“Bedroom,” Wilbur announces, steering Ghostbur in that direction. “To the bedroom.”
“The bedroom,” Ghostbur repeats, sounding awestruck.
Wilbur stops abruptly, grip tightening on Ghostbur’s shoulders in order to stop him as well. Ghostbur doesn’t complain. “No. Crap, we can’t go in there. Techno’s gonna go in there. We can’t… crap.”
“Why would Techno be going into your bedroom, Wilbur?” Ghostbur asks, turning his head around to make eye contact.
“Because we share.”
“Ohhh.”
“Crap crap crap crap crap, turn around.” Wilbur, still gripping Ghostbur’s shoulders, spins around, beginning to walk in the opposite direction. “Kitchen. We’re going to the kitchen.”
“The kitchen,” Ghostbur repeats, sounding just as amazed as before.
“You can get behind the island and stay there untilllll nope, not doing that.”
“Why aren’t we doing that, Wilbur?” Ghostbur questions, voice hitching just a little bit when Wilbur tugs him to a halt.
“Because Techno’s gonna go into the kitchen.”
“Why will Techno go into the kitchen?”
“Because he’ll want a glass of water.”
“Ohhh.”
Wilbur stands still, face tightening. “Crap. Umm…”
Is there anywhere else Ghostbur can go? Wilbur doesn't really think so, because he’s scanning as much of the flat as he can and he can’t see a single good place to-
Wilbur’s eyes widen. “I got it.”
“A place to hide?” Ghostbur prods, sounding freaking excited.
“This way.”
Ghostbur lets out a surprised sound as he’s pulled away from the kitchen and down the short hallway, pushed mercilessly along by Wilbur. “Where are we going?”
“Bathroom,” Wilbur replies shortly.
“Oh!” A pause. “Why the bathroom?”
“Because it has a door.” Wilbur walks just a little faster, not bothering to slow down when Ghostbur trips over his own feet. “And you can lock it.”
“Oh!”

Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?
I don’t know, most of my fic ideas I’ve written :0 At least partially.
That being said, I did come up with one AU during church that I like but haven’t really written yet XD
The premise is…
Modern AU (I have too many of these it is a Problem)
Sally and Wilbur are young—like twenty—and newly married
Sally is also pregnant aksvsksgjs
They have sucky families so as soon as they married they took off in a van and never looked back
They’re basically just traversing the country, no end goal in mind. They are wanderers *nods nods*
At some point they come across three little kids who ran away from home/a foster home/etc etc I’m still figuring things out
They’re all Teeny, like seven or something
Smol bench trio :)
So now Sally and Wilbur have to figure out what to do with these random kids
Sally is all “oh my gosh babies I am their mother now I have adopted them oh my gosh Wilbur we’re parents”
And Wilbur is all “kids ew”
Something something Wilbur starts to grow attached to the little guys something something found family something something
That’s kinda it lol!

The Resisty adopting Zim
The Resisty lands on Earth after hearing of the Irken invader tasked with conquering it. They’re confident in their ability to take this “Zim” down, but when they locate his home base, they are more than a little surprised.
In the place of a fully trained member of the Irken elite is a babbling, clueless smeet.
Young smeets have the habit of imprinting on the first thing they see. The members are quick to shut down any indication that any of them could even be considered parental figures. Unfortunately, their leader has a certain affinity for babies.
Zim grows up (again) not as a hardened soldier, but as a member of the Resisty, unaware of his own species. This changes less things than you’d expect.

Some spins on the "mostly male team with a token woman" trope:
The woman is trans and stayed in her old circle of bros even after transition
The woman is the only one in her circle of "girls" who didn't turn out to be a trans man

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)
At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.
Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

There is a story idea I have been thinking about for some time and unlike many others of my story ideas it is one I would feel capable of writing with my current skill level.
But I am afraid that this story will be too weird to be accepted and will brand me as weird. Because the story would handle a pretty thorny theme without treating it in the way that is socially accepted. More about that under the cut.
The story would be loosely inspired by the myth of Hades and Perspehone - but I'm not sure if it has more similarities to that myth than to other bride kidnapping stories; CN for forced marriage/bride kidnapping and threat of rape.
Summary
Soft Sci-Fi setting. A Skilled Warrior wins a great victory for his empire. Is rewarded by the emperor with gifts, but he would prefer to be given the Emperor's Daughter in marriage. Emperor rejects this because social norms have changed in favor of free marriage choice, Emperor's Daughter rejects this because she isn't interested. Skilled Warrior kidnaps her with the intention of forcing her into marriage and brings her to a location beyond the reach of the emperor. The Emperor's Daughter has a limited time window to convince the Skilled Warrior to change his mind.
Much of the first half of the book would be taken up by the debate between the two. And here is the problem: To have this be a debate, rape cannot be treated as axiomatically wrong. Instead, a potential rape victim would need to convince a potential rapists that it isn't in his best interest to rape her. This is far from how the issue is normally discussed in the present, where some crimes (rape among them) are treated as so evil as to be beyond discussion.
She then succeeds in convincing him to release her, by arguing convincingly that the joys of a consensual marriage are greater than the joys of a forced marriage and that a consensual marriage is more conductive to achieving his religious and societal goals. Which is different to how "redemption" is normally handled in media - there is no emotional "oh no, what have I done!"-moment, instead the "redemption" goes like "I see now that my actions were based on faulty reasoning, so now that I know this I will change my actions".
And then, some time after the Emperor's Daughter is released, she would contact the Skilled Warrior with the offer: "Visit me and present your argument why I should marry you." The second half of the book would largely be that debate, in which he ultimately convinces her of marrying him. There are two aspects of this that people might consider problematic: that she ends up marrying her attempted rapist, and that this is explicitly framed as a rational argument instead of, for lack of a better word, vibes-based (as love generally is in modern stories).
The point (or at least a point) of the story would be to analyze how the selfish aspects and the selfless aspects of love relate to each other. A possible title I came up with would be "A Dispute of Desire and Affection".
My worries about the story
I get the feeling that the story would feel pretty weird to many people and if it ever gets some amount of prominance would get much criticism. Presenting immorality as understandable, only misguided and open to logical argument is quite different from the more vibes based morality that I get the impression is common; but that is something I think public discourse is on the wrong path. I think loosing the ability to rationally argue against evils like rape, slavery, and genocide is actually quite dangerous. So writing a story like that should be good, shouldn't it?
But what I fear most is people using the story to psychoanalyze me...
(I have wondered if I could tell the story more explicitly as a retelling of the myth of Hades and Persphone, that way I could just say "all the problematic elements are from the original text, I am just engaging with them". However, I don't think it would work because a) there is not really place for Demeter in this story idea while in the original it is her action that gets Persephone back, and b) rape is probably too normalized in Greek mythology for the way it is treated in this story. So I am doubtful this could work. - But maybe I should take a closer look on what changes would be required and what advantages and disadvantages would come with that.)
I wonder if my worries on this are rational, or if the perspective of public rejection just scares me on an emotional level.

“In the war film, a soldier can hold his buddy—as long as his buddy is dying on the battlefield. In the western, Butch Cassidy can wash the Sundance Kid’s naked flesh—as long as it is wounded. In the boxing film, a trainer can rub the well-developed torso and sinewy back of his protege—as long as it is bruised. In the crime film, a mob lieutenant can embrace his boss like a lover—as long as he is riddled with bullets.
Violence makes the homo-eroticism of many “male” genres invisible; it is a structural mechanism of plausible deniability.”

OK, so I know that despite saying I have some story ideas I barely showed anything, and I just showed some simple Khay’reek designs so far.
But without getting into it more now, let’s just say there is something in the story that can make Khay’reeks immortal.
And yeah, sometimes people are just like: Immortality, neat! But it is not that uncommon to show just all the horrible ways immortality is terrible.
Well, there are some characters that are already immortal in the story and they seem fine. But they kind of have to be, they cannot be anything else.
But there are characters who are regular mortals. And one I have specifically in mind. And imagine if he was in danger of being forced into immortality.
After everything he already came through. Just to lose everyone he ever knew, eventually. And then forget that he ever knew them in first place. The body is immortal, but brain can only hold so many memories, that is how it works in my story. Not a single immortal is consistent through their eons of existence because they only ever remember so much. There are stuff with the others I have in plan for this.
But this poor guy. That would loose him everything, even if some aspect might look benefitial, immortality is really more of a threat here.

Wilbur really likes Tommy as a baby. He wonders if he'll like him when he gets bigger.
That's silly. Of course I'll like him when he's bigger; I'll like him for always, no matter what, even if he gets really tall and stops liking dandelions.
I think he'll always like dandelions, though.
Wilbur takes a peek around the side of the stroller, looking for mum. She's walking down the sidewalk, and she still has a cigarette in her mouth. She removes it to blow out smoke. Wilbur looks back at Tommy.
"Hey."
Tommy makes a thoughtful noise, though that probably has more to do with him shoving his empty hand into his mouth.
Wilbur watches him evenly. "I just want you to know that I'll like you forever. Even when you stop being a baby and everything. Even when you get big. I'll always be bigger than you, so that means... that means my love will get bigger, too!"
Wilbur brightens, eyes widening. "Yeah! Every time I get bigger, my heart will get bigger, which means that I can fit more love inside it! That means that the bigger I get, and the bigger you get, the more I'll love you!"
Tommy pauses trying to gnaw on his hand to gaze up at his brother, eyes brilliant and blue. A lot of spit dribbles down his chin, but Wilbur's going to wait a bit before he wipes it away.
"Tommy, will your love get bigger too? I hope it does. I hope both of our loves get so big that we don't know what to do with ourselves, and all that we can do is hug each other and say, 'I love you soooo much'!" Wilbur smiles, and a breeze strokes his face. The sky is light purple now, and most of the sunlight is fading away. It's getting cooler.
Wilbur leans forward and kisses Tommy on the forehead. "I love you so much, Tommy. I love you now and I'll love you when you're big. And even though you can't talk yet, I'm pretty sure you love me, too. Right?"
Tommy pulls his hand out of his mouth, slick and shiny with saliva. Wilbur laughs.
Then Tommy spreads his mouth into a wide smile, letting out a happy squeal.

"That's cool, that's cool. I'm like that, sometimes." Tubbo takes a deep breath and lets it out, sagging lower into the bench. "Serious conversations can be weird."
"Very," Ranboo adds, chuckling breathlessly. "Very, very weird."
Tubbo smiles. "So... maybe we don't talk serious this evening, then? Talk about something else?"
"Yeah! I mean, um, yeah. Th-that is, if you want."
"Hey, I'm fine with whatever, big man. Whatever floats your boat."
"Whatever floats my... what?"
Tubbo turns to him, and Ranboo quickly averts his eyes. "Oh, that's an expression. It basically means, 'do whatever you want' or 'do whatever feels best for you'."
"Then... why don't you just say that?"
"Say what?"
"What you just said. Do whatever you want, instead of the boat thing."
Tubbo purses his lips. "Because the boat thing is more fun. Gives it flavor, y'know?"
Ranboo doesn't know.
"Oh yeah, sure. Obviously."
Tubbo nods, turning back to watch the sunset.
A minute or so passes, and Ranboo briefly closes his eyes, letting the gentle breeze blow back his hair. It feels really nice right now; not cold, but not hot either. A wonderful in-between.

Share something angsty from your WIP
"My house. You're in my house, Ranboo." Tommy takes a step forward, and Ranboo quickly rises to his feet. The flower tumbles off his legs, landing in a crumpled heap on the ground. "Why are you in my house? Who did- who let you in here?"
"I-I think, um, Tubbo," Ranboo replies, voice quivering.
Tommy stares at him. "I think you're lying."
"N-no!" Ranboo draws his hand towards his chest. "I'm not- I'm not lying, Tommy! Why would I lie?"
"That's what I want to figure out."
Ranboo's brow furrows, and his chest fills with warmth again—a very different kind of warmth. Not like sunshine, but like fire. "I'm not lying, Tommy. I wouldn't- I don't lie. I don't do that."
Tommy stares at him, nostrils flaring. Ranboo flicks his eyes away.
And then:
"Were you hanging out with Tubbo?"
Tommy doesn't sound loud and angry anymore. Instead, he just sounds quiet.
Ranboo nods minutely. "Yes. Well- well I was, earlier. He's not here now."
Tommy doesn't say anything.
Ranboo swallows. "Do you need, um, need him for something? Because I can send him a message if you want."
Ranboo immediately knows that he said the wrong thing. Tommy's eyes turn fiery, and his jaw tightens.
Ranboo doesn't know what he did wrong.

Post the fic summary for a fic you haven't written/published yet. It can be hypothetical or something you really plan on releasing...
OOOOOH okay, hmm…
AU. Alright? AU in which Ghostbur and Tommy go to the prison to kill Dream, but instead of Ghostbur dying, Tommy’s invisibility potion wears off a little too fast, and Sam panics and locks Ghostbur and Tommy into Dream’s cell!! So now Ghostbur, Tommy, and Dream are stuck together!! Wow!! Totally nothing bad is going to happen and no one will get hurt and no one will experience PTSD/traumatic memories!! Totally!!
I’ve gotten really excited about this AU lol. It’s the one I wrote 1,500 words for last night :0
