Haha no worries! It's downplayed a lot in the series because it's supposed to be a comedy, but when you start looking more closely at the stuff Kuniharu does, it paints a picture of a terrible father and a bad husband too.
It's been a topic on the blog several times, so I'm sure people can chime in with more evidence, but here's what's off the top of my head...
Raised Kusuke. Nuff said tbh lol.
Kuniharu calls Kusuo a monster multiple times and is almost certainly the reason why Kusuke and Kusuo himself believe that Kusuo is an inhuman freak. This attitude is certainly not coming from Kurumi, and nobody else knew about Kusuo's power. From the beginning of the series, Kusuo genuinely believes he's unable to connect with other human beings, and it's mostly because of this attitude inherited from his father.
Kuniharu is never seen attempting to prevent Kusuke from constantly picking fights with his brother, and only attempting to discipline Kusuo for behavior that Kuniharu considers disrespectful to him. This is mostly a fact by omission, but we do see him belittling Kusuke when the kid obviously already has an inferiority problem.
Kuniharu is one of the worst performers at his job and the first to be let go in the case of a crisis. When he loses his job, he's unable to find any others because his only real skill is shoe-licking. This was a parody chapter though so questionably canon. He's always running late for his job though and we see him trying to make a manga artist rip off Naruto, so honestly it makes sense that he's that bad at his job. The only time he's shown as slightly competent at his job was during a parody chapter too hsfjdlshfks.
However what's definitely canon is that he either doesn't make much money or mis-spends most of it. In an area where Nendo's mom, a single woman, and Satou's family, the exact average family, can afford to live, Kuniharu had to take out an 80 year mortgage to pay for a similarly sized home. For context, most mortgages are for 30 years, 15 if you git gud. Btw, the house was literally a gift from Kusuke, Kuniharu insisted on paying out of manly pride or something. Sir, Kusuke is a freaking billionaire and this is like the only single no-strings-attached genuinely kind thing he's ever done hsfjdlshfks
Completely irresponsible with money: has a huge Valentine's day budget for his wife's gift ($3,000 iirc?) and then spends it all at the bar paying for his coworkers' drinks (the same guys who abuse him at his job and think he's garbage). He also spends huge amounts of money on his model figure collection, and has a whole room of gym equipment he never uses. As a result, Kusuo has a very small allowance and for some reason, his one favorite food (coffee jelly) is not included in the grocery list. Even though Kusuo canonically gets insane rock bottom prices for literally everything that gets bought in the household. How do you fuck up so badly financially that you can't buy your clinically depressed son the one (inexpensive!) thing that brings him joy??
By the way, Kuniharu started dating Kurumi when he was a college student and she was in high school. Kusuke was born like a year after they met, so you can do the math about how little time he spent before knocking her up 😬 They basically had a shotgun wedding. No wonder Kurumi's dad is NOT a fan of Kuniharu...
Literally one of the first chapters is Kuniharu and Kurumi domestic violence but make it funny. They're throwing furniture, Kuniharu is breaking the windows, Kurumi is yeeting her husband, and all this shit is over a single coffee jelly, which again, should be a normal part of the groceries for their household. They constantly bring their son into this drama too, which I'm sure is fantastic for his mental and emotional development btw.
There's a manga exclusive chapter that's a parody, so questionably canon, but in it Kuniharu physically attacks Kusuo multiple times over differences in opinion.
However, it IS canon that Kuniharu takes any opportunity to try to physically harm Kusuo. Ex. Hitting him in the massage episode and trying to step on him when he turns tiny.
Canon tries to redeem him a bit by showing moments where Kusuo is a baby and Kuniharu is trying really hard to make him smile because he wants his baby boy to be happy. Unfortunately that just makes it seem like he tried to be a good father for a bit when Kusuo was a baby, and then as soon as Kusuo's powers developed enough to make him miserable (the time when he needs the MOST familial support!), Kuniharu just gives up, and starts using Kusuo as his personal genie in a bottle. While also trying to fix his own fragile ego by attempting to establish dominance over his son. ????? Get therapy bro.
Canon also shows that Kuniharu's love points for Kusuo are the same as for his wife, however, not even Kuniharu believes that, as he tries to run away to evade it hsfjdlshfks. And even if he does love his son that much, he certainly doesn't show it in any meaningful way, because his literal MIND-READING SON doesn't know that. There are plenty of parents who truly love their kids and still abuse them like hell because they think that's the right thing to do (see Kaido's mom being overly strict because she wants to see him succeed in life), so the love points don't mean much imo.
Kuniharu does dole out a couple of pieces of wisdom (at Kusuo's wrong date birthday party and in the volcano arc) but that really doesn't make up for anything and even his wife thinks he's childish so... 🇫
Kuniharu is definitely funny as a character, and like I said, most of this requires digging into canon a little more, but once you start looking, it becomes clear that Kuniharu is just not a good person, father, or husband.
Like, I totally get that having a genius and a god as your kids would not be easy for any parent, but Kuniharu really doesn't try to make life better for either of his sons, preferring to get into petty squabbles with his wife and play video games/build models the rest of the time. I'm not saying dads can't have hobbies, but the only times we see him spending time with Kusuo is usually when he's begging for a favor, and he also clearly does zero housework whatsoever, so...
Anyways, I think Kurumi deserves a better husband and Kusuo deserves a better parent (or at least a break from being used as a magical favor vending machine lol) so I often joke on here that Kurumi should get a divorce and run polls about who she should marry instead and such!

A/N: RAHHH I'm finally posting a fic after.... uhhh idk but a LONG time. haha... yeah sorry about that. but HEY it's a foolish fic and that's something new. shrimpy here convinced me to start writing for him (it wasn't hard since i cant say no to shrimpy lmao) but yeah, this is a little collab I did with her. so as said in the ask, she wrote part 2 with the actual smut. I loved writing this and working with her honestly. she helped with a couple questions I had and was really patient with me (i took 11 days to finish this lol rip) so would def do again. also my first collab? im so excited for y'all to read this. anyways this is getting long, enjoy and the link for part two is at the end.
You already felt it coming on. The tension building behind your eyes and the strain forming at your temples. But you’d be cruel to deny him when he looked at you with that cute pout. So you walked off, popped an ibuprofen and came back, sitting next to him as you watched him play some Minecraft.
However, the ibuprofen was definitely not enough. Thanks to his bright ass lights, the less than cozy screaming and yelling, and the eye strain from staring at the monitors, your headache began to worsen.
“I thought Minecraft was supposed to be a relaxing game.” You groaned, eyes squinted as you struggled to keep up with the pvp he was doing.
“Maybe it could be, if Richarlyson wasn’t being such a little bITCH!” Foolish screamed, resulting in another wince from you. His fingers darted around, clicking away as he chased after the little pixelated egg.
And then came the barking.
The back and forth, screaming, barking, with the added touch of his way too bright lights and the blue light from the monitors made you groan again. You leaned your head down, your hand covering your eyes, trying to find some relief. He was so excited to show you his progress on the titan, and you promised you’d at least stay long enough to see it, but you weren’t sure how much longer you could take this.
Luckily though, most of the screaming and barking stopped when Richas made a strategic retreat and teleported away. So you were able to look back at the monitor when he called your name.
“Okay, finally. Alright, alright, look.” Foolish grinned as he warped over to his titan build and began to glide over to it. “Now, I’m obviously not completely done but I’m so close, and I only really have- No, no, nO, NO!” He whined as a creeper dropped down next to him and exploded, ruining a part of the hand.
And unfortunately for you, that note struck the wrong cord and the pounding in your head grew past your limit. “Foolish, I’m gonna go lay down, okay?” You whispered, not only because of the throbbing in your head but also so his chat wouldn’t hear. You hurried off screen, heading back into his bedroom and crawling into bed after ensuring all the lights were off. You tossed the blankets over your head and buried your face into the cool pillow, hoping it’d ease the pain.
Meanwhile, as soon as you left, the doozers were all spamming things like “what happened to ___?”, “i dont think they were feeling well”, “they had their head down earlier”, “are they okay?” and so on.
Foolish, however, didn’t even glance at chat as he hurried off of Minecraft. “I think I’m gonna call it a day, guys. Sorry this was a shorter stream than usual.” He apologized for his 3 hour stream before quickly ending.
As soon as he was sure he ended, he rushed over to his room. He frowned at the dark room and the faint outline of your body curled up under the blankets. “Baby?” He called out quietly, climbing onto the bed next to you. He leaned over, propped up on his elbow and gently drew back the blankets. “What’s wrong?”
“Head hurts.” You muttered, eyes still shut tightly, jaw clenched.
“Aw, I’m sorry, honey.” He whispered softly, turning you to face him before rubbing his thumbs over your eyebrows, a silent instruction to relax from your tense position. “Should’ve told me. I wouldn’t have asked you to come on stream if I’d known you weren’t feeling good. Did you take anything to help it?”
“Just ibuprofen but’s not working.” You answered, leaning into his touch with a soft sigh, making him smile.
“Well, here. Why don't we try a bit of this?” Foolish mumbled, pulling you on top of him. “Where does it hurt?” He asked, to which you muttered, “My temples ‘nd behind my eyes,” snuggling into his warmth. He nodded, moving his hands to your head and beginning to massage your temples gently, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
You sighed in relief, relaxing your stiff position even more as he rubbed away all the tension, humming in a soothing, soft tone. You stayed like that for a while, letting Foolish work his magic while you cuddled him close.
After a little while he kissed your head again and moved his hands away, hugging you instead. “Feel any better?”
“Mhm.”
“Good.” He smiled softly. “And I hope you know I’m going to absolutely clowned on by chat tomorrow and it’s all your fault.” He teased with a playful smirk.
“I say it’s worth it. They already get to spend way too much time with you as is. It’s about time I stole you away from them for a little while.” You laughed, lifting your head to look up at him before smirking. “But if you really want me to make it up to you, I have an idea in mind I’m sure you’d like.”
“Oh ho ho ho.” Foolish giggled excitedly, meeting you halfway when you leaned up to kiss him. “Don’t mind if I do…” He smirked into the kiss, flipping you over. “But since my baby was hurting, why don’t you let me take care of you?”

Lasso of...Vulnerability?
"I'm--breaking up--with both of you." Bruce managed to growl through clenched teeth as he desperately tried to hold his laughter at bay. He was sandwiched in-between Clark and Diana, the latter still in her Wonder Woman outfit, having just arrived in the cave.
"Oh please." Clark scoffed, crowding closer as he slipped his hands beneath Bruce's shirt to tease at the tensed muscles of his stomach. "You were practically begging for it."
"That-" Bruce broke off into a gasp when Diana started nuzzling at his neck. "Th-ha-t's victim blaming!" Once that first laugh slipped past his defenses it was like the dam broke, stuttering laughter tumbling out as he tried to slip sideways out of their embrace.
"You can stop with the bravado." Diana wrapped her arms around Bruce's shoulders from behind and slipped a hand beneath the collar of his shirt to gently scratch along Bruce's collarbones, resulting in a muffled shriek. Bruce promptly flushed red as the sound was ripped from him, and it took all of her self-restraint not to coo at the sight. "We all know you love this."
"I-hihihihi really don't!" Bruce protested as he tried to pry Diana's hands out of his shirt. Of course, Clark chose that moment to walk his fingers up his ribs, digging into the spaces between at random. "I ha-haha-te when you tickle my neck." He had one hand wrapped around Diana's wrist, the other around Clark's, and neither were doing him any good.
"That's why we save it for special occasions." Diana whispered into his ear, resulting in another of those muffled screeches that had Bruce turning a deeper red.
"My ears are the-haha-worst!" Bruce protested, surging forward into Clark to try to escape Diana's gentle teasing.
"We know."
"Everywhere el-hehe-else is kind of ni-hihihi-nice though."
As soon as the words processed all three of them froze. Clark and Diana's eyes met above Bruce's head, identical looks of shock on their faces, but Bruce didn't dare move his face away from where it was buried in Clark's shoulder; not until he and Diana both took a half step back and forced his hand.
"...." Bruce's face had gone from flushed to white alarmingly fast, and he looked like he was about five seconds from bolting. "I don't know why I said that."
Diana went to put her hands on her hips, gasping when one landed on the lasso. "Oh." Bruce slowly turned around, gaze locking onto the glowing rope at her hip, mouth set in a thin line. "I am so sorry." She said, holding the rope away as though Bruce might accidentally come into contact with it again. "I did not mean to use this on you, Bruce. I only meant to tease."
Bruce stared at the rope in silence, the muscle in his jaw jumping and his heart pounding almost painfully against his ribs.
"We...aren't going to make fun of you." Clark said slowly, stepping forward so he was beside Bruce instead of behind him; carefully not touching him. "We can just forget you said it. We know you didn't mean to." He offered, voice carefully neutral. "But we aren't going to make fun of you for it."
"I forgot it was there." Diana added, guilt creeping into her voice. She knew how hard it was for Bruce to trust people, and she was afraid she just lost that trust.
Bruce...was not going to ruin another relationship due to his inability to cope with his own emotions. "I know." He dragged his eyes up to meet Diana's. "It's okay." Diana looked like she was going to protest so Bruce took a deep breath and reached out and grabbed the rope. "I know you wouldn't intentionally use this on me without asking first."
Diana smiled softly, nodding her head without speaking. She didn't want to accidentally prompt Bruce to say anything else when he was still holding the rope.
Bruce let out a low slow breath through his nose before turning his head to meet Clark's eyes, rope still in hand. "And I know you won't make fun of me." The heat was starting to creep back in to his cheeks, but he carried on. "But it's still embarrassing." He held his free hand up to halt Clark's protests.
"I-don't-do-vulnerable." It sounded like it pained him to say it, and his knuckles were white as he gripped the lasso, but he needed to get this out now that the opportunity had presented itself. "I don't do movie nights. I don't do pillow talk. I don't do quiet mornings over coffee, or Saturday afternoon lunch dates on the dock of the lake. But I like--love--doing those things with you." His face was bright red as he looked over at Diana, and it felt like he was being flayed open, his nerves exposed to the elements. "Both of you."
Neither Clark nor Diana said anything while Bruce still held the lasso, though the sappy smiles on both of their faces spoke for them. "And I don't blush." Bruce added, sounding bewildered now. "I haven't since I was a kid. I don't know why that keeps happening around you two." Okay, now he was rambling. The lasso causing truths to spill out of him. "And I really don't like when you tickle my ears. I'm way too sensitive for that." Oh God. Diana was laughing now as she held a hand out for the rope. "But I really like when you tickle my back. It feels really--" Bruce abruptly dropped the lasso, his mouth snapping shut as the tips of his ears burned red.
Clark chose not to comment on that last revelation, even though he couldn't help the surprised laughter that came out when Bruce practically threw the lasso away from himself. "I love doing those things with you, too." He tentatively wrapped an arm around Bruce's shoulders, relaxing when Bruce leaned into the touch.
"As do I." Diana left the lasso where it had landed, stepping around it to slip her arms around Bruce's middle. She pressed a kiss to his temple. "Thank you for telling us that." She whispered into his hair.
"I'm--not great at expressing myself." Clark's small huff of laughter earned him an elbow to the ribs. "I...appreciated the help." A beat. "But keep that thing away from me around other people."
~~~Bonus Scene Later That Night~~~
"Soooo..."
Bruce's shoulders stiffened at Clark's tone, and he pretended to be busy looking for a shirt so he would have an excuse to not turn around. Not that that seemed to matter, since Clark was now draping himself over Bruce's back and walking him backwards away from the dresser. "What was that you said, earlier?"
"Something about your back?" Diana asked, plucking the shirt from Bruce's hands and tossing it carelessly over her shoulder. He wouldn't be needing that.
"Hngh." Since he was shirtless Clark and Diana got to see the flush start on Bruce's cheeks and creep it's way down his chest.
"Lay down." Clark whispered in his ear, snickering at the squeal Bruce wasn't fast enough to muffle.
"Fuck off." Bruce countered, right before he was unceremoniously flung onto the bed. "What happened to 'no powers in bed'?" He asked, no real heat in his voice as he settled into a more comfortable position on his stomach.
"We weren't in bed yet." God, Clark was such a little shit sometimes.
"Relax, Bruce." Diana ran her hands up his tense back before taking his arms and gently but firmly dragging them up so Bruce could cushion his head in them. "Let us do this for you."
"Please." Clark said enthusiastically, drawing a quiet laugh out of Bruce as he hid his face in his arms.
Someone was leaving a slow trail of kisses across his lower back, starting at the left side and leisurely making their way across. Bruce jolted when they reached the dimple at the base of his spine, muffling a laugh into the blankets when they nipped at the spot, and giving it the same treatment on the other side.
Soon a pair of hands (thicker fingers, shorter nails, it must be Clark) settled on either side of his spine, just below his shoulder blades. Bruce broke out in goosebumps, jolting with a gasp when they gently dragged out to either side, fingers tracing around his ribs as far as they could go until they were stopped by the mattress. He was mortified by the whimper he let out when those fingers quickly skimmed up his ribs, stopping just short of his underarms and instead dragging across his upper back.
The first real laugh escaped when those lips found their way to the backs of his ribs. Diana gently nibbled on the bone and Bruce shouted into the mattress, body heaving as he let loose and didn't bother to fight the laughter he could feel bubbling up inside. It only get worse better when Clark gently scratched his short nails across his lower back, causing Bruce to start squirming in earnest. From there it was hectic. Fingers, lips, nails, teeth; tickling, kissing, licking, teasing any spot they could reach.
When they finally decided Bruce (who hadn't let out a single protest, besides the involuntary squirming) had had enough, they each lay on either side of him. Bruce stayed where he was, giggling into the mattress for another minute. When he finally rolled over his face chest and stomach were all flushed pink, and he had a soft smile on his face that for once he wasn't trying to hide.

Hektor grew up with the Claydens. Despite his siblings literally thriving in their childhood, Hektor was more laid-back; enjoying life his own secluded way. He is more close to his parents; always listening to whatever they say. And so, when his parents said that he should try getting into St. Shelter’s, Hektor couldn't say no despite his brother literally being there.
Extra: Hektor also traveled a lot with his father.
– since Mr. Clayden's a scientist, he rarely gets time to stay home; having to travel across the world a lot, he often took Hektor with him. And Hektor has had all the fun in his youth spewing chaos at the scientific research centre.
Academy life: He is a freshman majoring in Geography. In spite of his introverted, awkward nature, he makes friends easily. Thus he, MC and Naledi became friends on the first day. He easily makes good results in the examination since he is studious. And he was dragged into the Student Council by William because of obvious reasons.

I love the newest part of chloe's lament!!!
As always, the problem with all of chloe's plans Are that she doesn't think them though, because she doesn't think she needs too. She has it in her head that she has future knowledge, and so operates solely on that.
I am very curious as to which student overhead Chloe and Bustier. Sabrina or Adrien who already knows of Chloe's wish? A classmate with no idea of theyre even being a wish? Maybe marinette herself?
Thank you for writing and Sharin chloe's lament btw it's one of my favorit miraculous aus and I just reread it all when i saw the newest post <33
To be fair, it's not just her future knowledge.
The thing about Chloe (or at least the way I'm doing her), is that she has this perception of how the world works and how it SHOULD work based on the many years where the world DID work that way. For years, Chloe could essentially do whatever she wanted and not only were there no consequences, she was never even suggested that she was wrong or anything she did was wrong.
Look at canon: even in the few instances where Chloe "lost", she didn't really lose anything. At most, someone else "won" and she just didn't get something she wanted. And even when she was revealed to have been cheating or acting dishonestly, nobody really calls her out on it. She still at most doesn't get something she wanted. That the adults seem to ignore her behavior and even the narrative made more of an effort to woobify her didn't help matters.
Chloe in this setup is the prime example of someone who thinks she's the main character and the world is just supposed to make things work out for her. This is combined with her future knowledge to make her think that this is an advantage she can use to benefit herself...not realizing that the entire setup has changed and whatever benefits she had before that protected her from consequences are no longer there.
In her limited defense, at this point her future knowledge is really her only advantage. Through it, she knows things that most other people don't. But not only is she trying to use it for selfish reasons, she's trying to apply it in ways where it simply can't be applicable due to the changes already made by the setup of the world.
Half of the akumas Chloe knows about were created because of her. But Chloe isn't in a position anymore do to as many of them this time around.
Do you really think Princess Fragrance is going to happen? It'd be Marinette whom Rose would ask instead of Chloe, and while Marinette may not be able to personally introduce Rose to Prince Ali, she could still take Rose's letter to him. At the very least, she certainly wouldn't just rip it apart in front of her.
Vanisher? Sabrina and Chloe aren't friends.
Rogercop? Haha no. Chloe doesn't have a golden bracelet.
So yes, while she is acting on future knowledge that may not apply, the bigger problem is this "protagonist centered morality" Chloe has where she is operating under the belief that SHE is the protagonist and that things are just supposed to work out in her favor because she is herself. Because that's how they always did before.
But as a result of the Wish, Chloe gave that up. Not just the money and social status, but also the protection and ambivalence she received not just from the adults around her regarding her behavior. Chloe is getting first hand experience of what Marinette and others had to go through when it came to her, and she hates it. But what Chloe especially hates is that unlike her, people don't resent Marinette for being better off and she fails to see it's because of her actions.
It's easier to just act as if Marinette's manipulating everyone or that they're brainwashed than admit that Chloe caused her own issues.
The worst part is that Chloe could have turned her situation around at any point. Her future knowledge would have helped her do that. But that would require her to accept her position for what it is and more importantly, stop repeating her previous behaviors. And given it's Chloe, that's going to be the hardest thing for her.
As far as your question, I'm not going to reveal just yet which student it is. Though I will go ahead and say it isn't Marinette. She's still at the contest, marveling over the other entries and maybe even giving feedback to some of the contestants if they want it.

I am so fucking interested in Leo DiCaprio’s trajectory when it comes to playing characters in Scorsese movies, hear me out:
Gangs of NY he’s really just a kid confronted with the possibility of violence, who’s tutored under the most violent man in his territory who also has the potential to become a father figure, but he says no, I need to do things my own way and find my own community – this is essentially a coming of age story.
The Departed, to me, is a more streamlined and polished Gangs of NY, albeit set in modern day Boston – Leo’s character is still a young man who has to go undercover and do some horrible things, and he struggles with the guilt of doing those horrible things, but he’s a little older, a little more cynical, a little more mature – though he still flies off the handle, and is still young enough to be seen as a surrogate son by Costello.
By Shutter Island, he’s a full adult, wife and kids (RIP), still struggling with violence and guilt but that’s as a result of having been in war and dealing with untreated PTSD. This is a much more adult story despite its pulpy exterior. He makes the choice to “die as a good man” as opposed to “live as a monster” – he’s taking agency for his actions. In The Departed he doesn’t get that choice (oof to those last 15 minutes.) Basically: he knows he’s done things that are irredeemable. He’s not a kid or kid-adjacent, he needs to take responsibility for his actions like an adult.
And then there’s a shift to Wolf of Wall Street where Jordan Belfort knows he’s a piece of shit and revels in it. There’s no guilt. Crime is fun! When you’re rich enough you’re untouchable! Haha silly goofy sensory overload! We all get to be immature man-children and nobody’s going to stop us!
Makes me wonder what it’s going to be like in Killers of the Flower Moon because he’s going to be playing a piece of shit yet again – but this won’t be silly goofy funtimes, this is going to be greed and colonization and manipulation.

Drumroll‚ please! 🥁
It’s been some time, and I managed to slip on my promised deadline once again (thank you for your patience)... But finally‚ we return to the story of Teresa and Andrea in our Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Randomizer!
A few items of note before we get started (and yeah sorry this is overly detailed and lengthy because idk what it means to be concise, just scroll down if you're not interested):
Please be aware: updates to Team Heavenly’s story will not be as frequent as they were during main. I now work a full-time job in a field where my schedule is somewhat contingent on unanticipated emergencies. And in general‚ I’m just a very busy adult! So I unfortunately can’t give you an exact (or even rough) timeline of when posts will be released— It basically comes down to whenever I have the time to do it. But rest assured‚ the entirety of this tale will be told… eventually!
I’ve gotten my hands on a newer tablet since last year, so my camera quality is much better now! …However. While snapping pics for this post‚ a seemingly unavoidable digital blue glare persisted‚ no matter how I adjusted my screen brightness. When I subsequently ran these photos through the auto function‚ they didn’t really… improve? So I had to do a lot of manual tweaking… Anyway‚ all of that to say if one shot doesn’t look visually consistent with another, it’s because each image got edited a little bit differently.
I will link multiple posts for a single "chapter" (see last bullet) in the same manner as before, with preceding and succeeding parts linked at the beginning and end, respectively. I’ll also update the table of contents in the pinned post for continued ease of navigation.
Also, please note... last year, my older iPad somehow managed to circumvent any sort of (consistent) image limit. But that is not the case this time! There is a strict hard limit of 30 images per post. It's therefore likely that post-game chapters will have more parts than the main-story chapters ever did. (Though whether that actually equates to a "lengthier" chapter is up for debate.)
As the post-game content does not get separated into official chapters‚ I will be partitioning the story based on subject matter! For example, this first act will focus on the guild’s graduation exam, the next will include Sky Peak, and so on. I also intend to use a random number generator to select chapter names from this list. (I mean, c’mon, that's part of the fun of a randomizer!) But for the sake of clarity, I will be including the actual subject matter after the chosen title in (parentheses). Thus‚ this first unofficial post-game chapter is known as…
Chapter 21: Would you like to eat moss?
(AKA: The Guild’s Graduation Exam)
As a result of Teresa and Andrea’s heroic actions… The destruction of time was stopped and peace returned to the world of Pokémon. They went back to Totodile’s Guild and fell back into their daily routine of vigorous training.
One morning‚ several months later…
Pineco: “:/ Hey hey, why can Teresa and Andrea take the graduation exam before we do? We’ve been around a lot longer…”
Tropius: “…They literally saved the world and have proven themselves to be worthy many times over. Also skill issue lol.”
Don’t feel bad for Pineco though; he’s not the only one getting roasted.
Lol rip.
Anyway‚ Andrea asks the very sensible question of what exactly this exam entails…

Are you— are you sending us back to the future‚ Totodile?! WTF??
Oh! That’s easy enough though. I mean‚ compared to scaling a collapsing tower while Time itself crumbled at our feet? Pshaw! This will be a cakewalk!

Does anyone remember that one time when I had the foolish idea to forget Quick Attack in favor of Helping Hand? Yeah, not one of my smartest moves. But I managed to find a TM in this dungeon that does the same thing as Quick Attack but better!

TELL ME MORE ABOUT SELF-DETERMINED DETERMNISM
HAHA YESSSS
so self-determined determinism is my pretentious ass name for the bond between karlach and eden. i like to imagine them having a very deep, very strong friendship, verging at times on familial but neither of them using that term specifically. they say casual platonic "i love yous" frequently and cling to each other, even before karlach is able to touch others without burning each other.
eden will GLADLY let himself get third degree burns if it means he can give his best friend a hug when she clearly needs one. the only thing stopping him is that she won't let him until it's safe. i like thinking about them twining their tails together casually when they're hanging out, which helps ground eden when he's having a bad time and provides the physical comfort karlach craves.
the NAME though... that ties back to the theme with karlach that makes me cry like a bitch: the idea that she's had so many choices ripped away from her, and she's constantly living with the results of others' cruelty towards her. and she's fighting a losing battle against fate: due to the exploitation and brutality of others, karlach is, perhaps, doomed to die and suffer. she believes in justice and helping others, but that doesn't seem to apply to her.
and karlach isn't gonna stop fighting, but it's hard when the deck is stacked against her in so many ways. but eden encourages her to keep fighting, to keep pushing, and more than that, he fights *for* her too. eden isn't the kind of person to give up, even when it seems hopeless. he wants to save karlach, and so she'll be saved. it's as simple as that.
and that gives her hope in a way she hasn't had in a long, long time. maybe her fate is pre-determined, and maybe it isn't, but at the end of the day, she's setting her own path and making her own choices. and her dear friend eden is there to support her every step of the way, reinforcing her right to make her own choices and live her own life, however much of it she has left.

What are your thoughts on the character writing in Shaman King? I think it's pretty interesting since it doesn't always spell out everything for the reader.
sorry for leaving this for like 87 years I was deliberating my opinions and then I forgot
pinkie promise to not ignore more asks for this long please give me more things to drabble on about
this triggered an unskippable cutscene so I'm adding a read more but if you don't wanna be here for years me complaining is still above the cut (though I recommend being a nerd with me I have a graph)
anyways I have a running bit with myself whenever I'm googling something mankin related (like when capitalism was invented or the average altitude in hokkaido or something about lsd for the fiftieth time) that I do more research than takei did originally writing the damn thing. the exact words I say are usually "I should stop expecting takei to be good at his job when I do this" because takei does suck at his job sometimes. directing you towards him using the entirety of pre-colonial mesoamerica as a grab bag of random traits that results in hell for me googling stuff because ohmygod
I think the character writing is where this happens the least (though there was one point during my flowers reread where I had to step away from my computer because I forgot he did a thing and it was the SINGLE WORST THING HE COULD HAVE WRITTEN for those characters with that plot element but I digress that is a whole other thing that I am not qualified for)
the writing of our main characters (specifically pacing) is funny though one second I have a graph

overall I really like the characters in the shaman king manga, reboot anime, and what I've seen of the 2001 anime. I've already written an entire post about how much I love yoh and hao's writing. hana and alumi are neat and red crimson is an excellent manga but we're no here for sequels
also it's important to note that I have been staring at shaman king for like two years straight, I have no sense of what's obvious knowledge and what's obscure nolifer wisdom ( no idea where I fall on that spectrum basically)
recently I've been in a real x laws appreciation phase, I think lyserg's arc specifically is a neat and complex take on justice and healing. it feels like something that could realistically happen to a person, minus all the supernatural stuff of course
ever since I first watched the 2021 anime the summer it started airing I've also really liked ren. he's got the zuko type redemption arc thing going on, and while that's an age old trope something about the way he was written always gets me. watching 2021 episode 27 for the first time the day it came out (as the first episode I watched weekly btw, rip osorezan arc you're beautiful but the first time I watched you I was so preoccupied) was one of the most memorable media experiences I've ever had. 😲 face the entire time
horo's another fave writing wise, again mostly because I think the ridiculous pacing of his arc is Hilarious, but if you interpret it as takei being good at his job (possible but unlikely) his introduction scene is fantastic at establishing a character without letting you know you're missing something. I for one didn't notice until the narrative pointed it out at which point I freaked out a bit because oh no I ignored my son by accident. the wisdom kings fight still makes me lose it every time I watch it scene of all time as well (voice performance has to be my favourite part of that I don't think it would go half as hard animated without that)
those three are my favourite characters writing wise. I also think jeanne is cool but her entire arc is very similar to both lyserg's and ren's so I shan't elaborate. I will however tell you about the time I was sitting in math class when my teacher mentioned joan d'arc, I had what can only be described as a eureka moment, and spent five minutes frantically googling things until I zoned back in to him talking about the time he almost drowned in quicksand on mont saint michel
there's also some neat stuff with plant and flower symbolism that I haven't looked into in months but is pretty neat (I like the part where weed shows up because I am so very mature)
don't even get me started on the musical leitmotifs and themes (no seriously don't I have no real musical knowledge and no one to fact check my bs) but I did write another post about some of it if you haven't read it
uh in conclusion I don't think takei knows what he's doing sometimes, character writing in shaman king pretty good sometimes me likey, I will make graphs on a whim for basically no reason

Did you mean the fictional drama movie 'What a Wonderful World' aka 奇異旅程之眞心愛生命 ? Or did you mean Lau's live concert, 'Wonderful World 劉德華香港演唱會 2007' ? Because that's at my local library if you want a dvd rip. Though I'm pretty sure it's not that, unless it's a 2008 re-release of the 1996 movie. Online searches are giving me conflicting titles and NO release year info ugh! I'm having no better luck at finding it to rent legitimately.

the movie though... the movie is hilariously hard to find especially in cantonese for some reason 😭 like there's also a guy in taiwan who's selling that movie on his ebay but that's the mandarin dub, and ive found another mandarin dub on a torrenting site but that's about it 😭 my written cantonese is like. non-existent tho so probably it's also the language barrier holding me back from searching the most likely places to find it lol

It was Halloween,all the Robot Masters were roaming the streets looking for trick or treat.

While the Robot Masters were roaming the streets looking for trick or treats, Cursed Mega Mummy, Cursed Hatsune Mini, Blacky Ghost, Colonel Cat and Demon Sergeant were inside an abandoned building. Doing what you definitely wouldn't do on Halloween...
-I heard a myth that says how to summon the spirits of Halloween, we can try?
-Okay, as long as they don't exist
-Haha, don't be silly, Demon Sergeant! Let's go
Everyone prepared the ritual and followed all the steps and...
-Huh?
-How convenient, it seems that Demon Sergeant was right
Everyone left the building, but what everyone didn't know was that the ritual worked... and the spirits were going to the city. Meanwhile with the other Robot Masters:
-Phew, they arrived in time, let's start the festival!
Yes, there was a costume festival on Halloween!

August stats time!
So: russian's dropped by about three hours or w/e because no more drops (yay!) and polygloss has taken more time because someone kept sending me 5 million things each day. (Its okay though its fun)
Belarusian is...? I guess about the same? Bit of time on polygloss but i keep taking too long to respond..
Ukrainian is still just clozemaster and duolingo, so i feel that's not too interesting to look at? Getting close to having up to checkpoint two on level four, so i should be close to getting all that gold by october! I've looked at it a couple times, and I think the third part is actually a bit shorter? So that may or may not take me less time to get through...
As for marathi: finished language curry's main course! Hoping having done that will help me out haha. Trying to figure out how best to work with the textbook i have still, but in general i think it's gonna take me a couple weeks per...? unit maybe? Idk how it refers to them. Chapters. Whatever.
As for the coming month... well, I think I might decide to stop using clozemaster. Just like, in general. Not that the sentence limit is really putting me too far behind what i was already doing for belarusian, but it's definitely not helping for russian, and. . . Reviews for both of them have started getting too high for me too make much of any progress. Rip clozemaster, you were halfway decent before the sentence limit </3
Oh, on that note though! I've been wanting to have a cloze card on anki that will let me type the answer, but since i hate logging into things and i primarily use my phone, that was essentially impossible. Enter the exact thing i was looking for! (Link) it's basically just a deck with an example card, but it does then make that card type available for use, so i'm glad i found it :3
Since clozemaster is currently accounting for most of the time spent on russian and belarusian, i'll have to think of something else to put there... it would be kind of nice to not have to do anything, but i know my grammar still needs work in both languages!! So i'll figure something out and report back next month with the results :P

I'm an ISTP and a libra girl. I like reading books (i have a never ending tbr list :,)) and trying out new hobbies like playing the piano, gardening, origami, journalling but those only lasts like 3 days and I eventually forget about them. Oh and right now I'm on a quest to complete the bnha mangas that I have (rip wallet </3). Hmmmm its hard to pick a favorite movie :,) but I'll go with Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2, I really like how Gamora and Nebula's relationship as sisters were much more explored. As for songs, I'm not sure what the genre is called but I like Bayonetta's songs especially the Moon River remix. I hate hate HATE insects especially roaches, uncooperative group mates, and people who intentionally cross personal boundaries just for laughs (a classmate of mine was pushing himself close to me which was making me uncomfrtable).
My friends describe me as chaotic, loud, stubborn, overachiever, but sweet and mature when I need to be. They say I kin akutagawa and bakugo and that I have a superiority and inferiority complex D: I'm also a hard worker, I managed to become the top 2 student in the class :D but since I'm busy with school work I forget to eat and take a bath sometimes haha :,) Oh right, my love language is words of affirmation. I will cry if someone compliments me, doesn't matter if it's something simple like "I like your pants!" I WILL tear up and struggle to say thank you.
