The king tapped his foot in impatience. 'there should be no reason as to why he is late-' he thought King Rimbaud placed his hand on Verlaine's arm "Patience dear he is a teenager and it is the morning" he said Verlaine nodded. "Will try my best" he replied.

meanwhile, Prince Chuuya was trying to stay asleep as one of the servants was trying to wake him up. "My Prince if you don't wake up and go to the throne room to meet your parents, king Verlaine will kill me" they said with panic. The redheaded prince let out a groan then sat up. "Fine" he grumbles and gets up, after stretching he gets ready for the day.

meanwhile not that far away was a thief. "I am NOT a pirate! I am a thief!!" yelled the figure with maroon eyes. "..that's the same thing..." said the figure in front of him wearing glasses "Yea Dazai I'm pretty sure they are the same thing.." said the figure with red hair next to the figure wearing glasses. The thief named Dazai had an appalled expression "Odasaku! My most trusted friend! Sides with a geek!" he said overdramatically "If that geek is my boyfriend named Ango certainly" said the figure named Oda. The figure wearing glasses speaks again "I am not a geek" they said Oda shrugs and Dazai nods "You're right Ango you are not a geek..." he starts to trail off and the figure named Ango looks at him septically "You're a nerd!" Dazai states confidently.

The Port Mafia brothers AU

Aka Bsd except Akutugawa and Dazai have a good sibling relationship.

Its so funny because instead of saying 'hey I have an apprentice' or I've been designated the new rookie.

Dazai straight up says "I have a child" and for as smart as he is he doesn't get why that's a bad way to say that.

Odasaku was the first one he told. And poor Oda is just very aware that he is way to sober for this conversation.

Dazai and Oda than proceeded to prank Ango, who had to sit down and can already feel the oncoming migraine.

Dazai told Chuuya after he broke into his kitchen for advice. And Chuuya just screams "The fuck?!" And well now the idea of Dazai reproducing might just be his worst nightmare.

Dazai ends up clearing up the confusion but it's so funny to see him say this and be so confused before rolling his eyes.

Granted the way Dazai was freaking out over being in charge of a child would make you think it was his own.

But nope, child is Akutagawa who's 2 years younger than him. Hears the declaration and facepalms.

And yes everytime Chuuya swears or curses near Akutugawa Dazai's going to gasp dramatically and cover his ears. And scold Chuuya for "swearing infront of the baby."

The baby in question just murdered several people but go off.

I like to think that Oda would let Dazai stay over at his place sometimes back then. (Because Mr. Demon Prodigy didn't have no proper house).

dazai fidgets a bunch, and you can usually tell who he feels close to based on who it is he fidgets . . . with.

he would mess with odasaku and ango's glasses at the bar, grabs kunikida's shoulders and arms and messes with the fabric of his clothes, plays around with atsushi's hair, and messes with just about every bit of chuuya. his hands, his gloves (on more than one occasion he's managed to slip one off and marvel at the ridiculous softness of his skin), his hair, his sleeves, (his face)

the only people to have reciprocated this are oda and chuuya. oda would mess with dazai's hair in the same way the latter now does atsushi's. chuuya would mess with dazai's hands during meetings, sometimes fidgeting as well with the topmost layer of his bandages.

just. dazai not knowing jackshit about normal physical touch and getting his fill in whatever lame ways he can

Going feral over the differences in how Akutagawa and Chuuya remember Dazai during his Port Mafia days.

Neither of them are accurate representations of what Dazai actually looked like, they are two peoples' perceptions of him.

Akutagawa idolizes Dazai, he was strength and power manifested, he was an ideal. He looks more put together than we ever see Dazai. He's looking down on Akutagawa both physically and symbolically. He's in all black, a true Port Mafia Executive from head to toe. His arms are concealed in Mori's coat, he's comfortable there, it fits him, he belongs. Akutagawa never saw him any other way, that's why Dazai leaving was something Akutagawa could never even begin to accept or understand.

But, God, it's such a different story in Chuuya's memory. He's disheveled, he looks so thin. In Chuuya's memory the Port Mafia life is wasting Dazai away. The mafia members behind him are ghastly shades, monsters of Dazai's past. He's wearing his Agency clothes under Mori's coat, whilst he pulls it around himself because it's all he knows. Signifying that Chuuya always knew Dazai's loyalty to Mori was fickle, that he wanted an out. Perhaps showing that Chuuya believes Dazai was always destined to be somewhere other than the mafia, that he knows he was destined for the Agency.

And then if you compare both of those to how Oda saw Dazai

It truly emphasizes just how young Dazai was to Oda. A kid who still had the chance to change, who didn't have to be the monster that mafia made of him.
