BNHA Spoilers
You've been warned.
Okay, just read issue 188 and What. The. FUCK?!
You can't kill off Endeavour like that! (If he is actually dead).
Left on a cliffhanger with a broken Endeavour and half his face missing, I would hope that he's just "seriously injured" and will live.
As much as I dislike him, this would be a shitty way to go. Yes, we all know he's a piece of shit but it seemed like his reality was setting in and he was reflecting on what he could do to maybe get back to a time where he wasn't so fixated on passing All Might.
Also, I still a little sold on that Hawks is a villain and could have set all this up. His reason? Can't pin point that right now but my gut tells me he's behind this.
The end of the issue seemed a bit rushed as well and what will happen with Todo-Kun? The boy obviously has daddy issues and this is gonna fuck him up hard.
On an unrelated side note; this event is totally fucking up my idea for my Fan Fic.

i don’t think you understand how excited i am for you to analyze this chapter
I really do have things to say about it, but I just don't know if I'll have the energy to get them all out before the weekend. I guess it'd be nice to be sure we have the full chapter before I post anything anyways. But like, this chapter was a pleasant surprise for me! I almost thought Horikoshi wasn't gonna deliver for a bit there, but things are finally being brought in to make this little arc interesting and relevant! Dare I dream...could we get an AFO+OFA flashback in the next chapter or 2??

Lets Talk About MHA Chapters 370 & 371
Alright let’s take a gander and what went down these last two chapters.
Starting off we moved away from the main battle and into one in which the heroes are trying to defend both the hospital and Kurogiri from a mob of mutants flying under the PLF banner. We’ve always known that there was racism against these quirk types both with just the fans inferring correctly, Shojis info sheet in extras and MHAs version of the KKK being shown throughout the fandom and main storyline.
Here we get even more context with the PLF announcer listing off events that have happened in history which hypes up the crowd even more.
But that’s when we get our first look into what this mob really is when they attack Kouda.
They call him a traitor to his kind, stating and assuming correctly that he must have lived in a big city a comment we’ll expand upon later. The announcer goes on to hype Spinner who has become the face of ‘Mutant Change’ for the PLF. His presence serves to embolden their attack...but Spinner is barely even there.
The man is drooling for christs sake but the people don’t recognize that. They see their symbol there and go to fight for him and his message...but what are they fighting for? The obvious answer is for Mutant rights but what is their plan? What is their goal?
Shoji says it perfectly.
Heroes aren’t perfect. It’s a message we’ve seen and have been told in My Hero Academia multiple times. But at the end if the day heroes do protect people, heroes save lives whether its for money or something else they DO save lives.
These people may see themselves as heroes but what hero attacks a hospital? What hero fights alongside villains?
Whatever message these mutants want to send is going to be thrown out the window not only because they’re fighting with villains but even if they weren’t they’re attacking a hospital.
A HOSPITAL.
More than that as Shoji said they don’t have a concrete plan. All they are is an angry mob lashing out but none of them have a clear plan for after this is over. They call fellow mutants traitors for fighting them but those ‘traitors’ are trying to minimize damage and death that they are willingly condoning and adding too.
And once again they turn to Spinner for guidance because they cant be wrong right? They’ve been persecuted and abused and this is the right way right? Spinner has obviously thought this through and has a plan...
Except...he doesn’t.
Spinner doesn’t care.
Hell even before AFO gave him two extra wuirks and fucked up his head he didn’t even know he had become this symbol for mutants. That he was drawing them in.
No, no all Spinner cares about is his friends. He doesn’t give a damn about this war or the advancement of mutant rights anymore all he wants to do is not lose anymore of his friends.
The PLF announcer tries to spin his words to push these people forward but the seed of doubt has been placed and it gets even worse with Shojis next line.
This line hits me deeply because he is RIGHT.
Yes there is still discrimination and yes the people who attacked them are wrong but the way they’re going about is is wromg too. By doing this they are ACTIVLY making things worse and pushing back progress.
Make no mistake progress has been made, they scorn people like Kouda for growing up in cities but thats proof that things have/are changing. They even alude to it in the chapters, Nedzu being a principal more mutants being heroes and loved as such more mutants in positions of power.
Yes they’re in the cities but that is HUGE progress. Progress that they are all gonna to hinder but possibly make people retract on in the end.
But like I said, Spinner doesn’t care, he doesn’t have a plan for mutant kind and in the end both Shoji and Kouda has to take their stand.

Let’s Talk About: MHA CH310 and Racism
Immediately we see more negative effects of refular people having access to support items and weapons. Unlike police, Heroes or hell even Vigilantes these people don’t have the experience necessary to do a ‘better job’.
They’re normal jobbers and as we’ve now seen said jobbers are prone to acting not only out of fear but out of prejudice as well.
Now the fandom has long since speculated and touched upon mutant racism that’s must be prevalent in the show. In fact before all if this it was lightly touched upon with Tsuyu Asui and her friend Habuko mongoose.
There are extras that reveal that Shoji covers up his face to avoid scaring children as well.
Here we see just how dangerous those outlooks can be as this mutant girl/woman was merely trying to make her way to a Hero School shelter and she was attack due to the atmosphere and her appearance. Who knows how many others this has happened too in the aftermath of the Shigaraki attack and Tartarus escape and not all of them have a Deku to save them.
Even after the situation was resolved there was no apologies, no acknowledgement of overreacting or wrong doing in the end.
“She shouldn’t wander around in the dark looking like that!”
How else is she supposed to walk around? She can’t help the way she looks, she can’t help how she was born. Most police and heroes know this and while I’m sure there are a number of heroes who could possibly be quirkest I’m sure there are just as many who arent.
Either way this interaction is exactly how villains and criminals are created in the first place. Hell this is exactly how Spinner was driven to Villainy.
There’s also this worlds version of the KKK
Who knows what remnants of these guys are doing to take advantage of the chaos during this time. Not something most want to think about.

Let’s Talk About: MHA Chapter 322
The battle between Izuku Midoriya and his family come to a close in the best of ways.
With Minas statement we finally get the boy to stop running from them, his physical exhaustion and his classmates actions hindering him, we see that he’s trying desperately to distance himself from them. Trying to argue back and say that HE is the problem.
Their intentions are good but it’s he who is the burden, at this point something drastic needed to be done and against all my expectations....Bakugou begins to say the one thing I didn’t expect him to.
He begins to apologize.
And as he talks we slowly see the blankeness of Izukus eyes come into focus, his pupils becoming more defined as Katsuki keeps talking. The shock of who this is, their history both horrible and pleasant being brought up and the boy in front of him acknowledging it to Izuku himself for the first time.
We see them go through time, their experiences shaping them into who they were right now in this moment and then...then three simple words Bring Izuku Midoriya crashing down.
Those words coming from Bakugou.
The man who’s actions got Izuku to instinctively cower in his presence, his childhood friend turned bully, his rival...it’s too much to bear.
It brings him back, his actions and words to his classmates catching up to him along with his mental exhaustion as he falls forward into Bakugous arms.
And they understand.
This family that he’s found, his first friends in ten long years...they understand.
ALL of them do...
Unfortunately, there are many others who don’t.
The civillains who block Dekus way are among hem. The boy wants to respect everyones wishes to bring him back to UA, he says so himself...but he knew this would happen.
He was even resigned to it, smiling a little in what I can really only describe as expected defeat. His eyes becoming dull once more.
Luckily for him...his best friend isn’t exactly going to let him leave again now is she?
