No cuz I like aos and I absolutely adore strange new worlds, but there is one thing that really pisses me off though and it’s how they try soo hard to make Spock straight. Like it feels soooo forced to me. If you’re too scared to make him the gay icon he already is, then at least just don’t give him any love interest, especially ones that feel so forced. I guess the one good thing I can think of is that all of his female love interests don’t work out and he feels forced to hide his true self, and change the way he presents himself to his lovers, which I think is queer representation in some way, but it still makes me sad. Asking for Kirk and Spock to be official, as bad as I want it, it’s a lot to ask. But doing something so little as just letting Spock be gay or even just not giving him a love interest is not that hard, and us queer trekkies deserve that I think.

while my acc was suspended and i had nothing to do i started going insane abt my special interests again so ive began re-reading chronicles of amber (this time in english which is the language of the original bc earlier ive always read it translated to my first language). already finished the first book and almost half of the second so i gotta say the more i read the less i think of it as a good idea bc 1) i still remember everything bc ive re-read it not long ago 2) the translation isn't worse than the original so i didnt lose anything reading it 3) i am already going insane abt these books again and there are 10 of them which means i will stay insane for a while

Overall thoughts: holy SHIT!!! I genuinely didn't think Dragons Rising would keep my interest like it has. I've watched this fuckass show since I was like 11, and by GOD they're keeping it real. The fight scenes are beautifully animated, they're keeping the characterization as close to normal as possible (of course there will be differences, no one can deny it). The story is enthralling and I really, REALLY love it.

Tactica Impressions Part 6, No Plot Spoilers

Toshiro continues to bring the entire plot down. I need him to stop being here. Please. Please, I'm dying and the only cure is No More Adult Man Party Member In Persona Game.

Erina is a fantastic character and her development is fantastic but it DRAGS that she's so fixated on being nice to Toshiro and sucking up to him and giving him unearned authority over her rebellion and the Phantom Thieves.

They've even co-oped Futaba into buddying up to Toshiro and it sucks so bad. Futaba. Futaba, cyber criminal and prodigal hacker, compares her being autistic and talented to Toshiro's...having experience deescalating cabinet battles. It's SUCH mischaracterization.

Complaining aside. All The Girls (And Ryuji) Love Erina's Flag and I feel like that's very gay of them. Everyone likes the cool girl.

RYUHARU SIDE QUEST with bonus Futaba and Haru sister moments, and Ryuji calls Haru "senpai." It's fucking amazing. Haru fans keep winning.

Even though Yusuke and Makoto are my least fav Thieves on average, I do love how they're animated this game. They both have fantastic poses, and there's even some good bits of characterization, though Makoto gets really robbed by most of the big planning stuff being handed over to Toshiro instead so he can show off. Stolen valor tbh.

There's one random moment where it looks like Haru and Makoto are holding hands. Yay! :)

The marriage fantasy scenes kinda sucked on average? The Makoto and Yusuke scenes were deeply unfunny jokes, the Ann scene felt like it was copy-pasted from Lovers 10, and the Ryuji scene was surprisingly earnest even through the attempt to play it off as a joke. Like...it felt like yet another case where Atlus accidentally wrote them into genuine bi subtext, as opposed to the "my friend is a weirdo" of the Yusuke scene.

The Haru scene almost made me tear up. Yes I'm a Harufan, yes I'm biased towards Shuharu. Don't care, it was so fucking genuine and played into her themes of overcoming romantic/sexual abuse and it was just AGHHGG I LOVE THESE STUPID KIDS.

How does Joker STILL have the grappling hook from Royal, what the fuck. We're playing X-Com over here, you didn't think that would have been useful EARLIER???

Anyway Erina continues to be an absolute badass, it's unreal how cool she is.

...I wrote most of these points as I experienced them, and now I may need to take a step back. Because the projection room scene in the castle has left me genuinely reeling. I'm not sure what to say beyond...that I am taking another look at Toshiro as a character. Because I might be starting to appreciate him. Metatextually, his role as a pseudo-party member is a fucking nightmare, and his writing is so inconsistent and uncharismatic that the most entertaining parts of his presence so far has been other characters dunking on him. His personality sucks and I don't like WHY Atlus put him in this game. But as a character, as a foil to the Thieves and an individual narrative...I am starting to be compelled. There is absolutely an opportunity for Atlus to absolutely dumpster this good faith they've got from me, but...I said "if they want to make Toshiro compelling, they need to do these things" and like fucking clockwork, they did. So now I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I don't have to LIKE Toshiro, but I will give his arc the benefit of the doubt. (Also if people want to read my specific thoughts on the scene, let me know, I'll definitely write them up if there's interest.)

General Opinion over said character: I totally love Kaiba, I knew he would be my fav before I even got into the manga/show, HOWEVER, he's so fucking over-saturated in everything I'm kind like, "Okay, yeah, can someone else get a piece of the action, please?" It's really interesting to me that he's really eclipsed Bakura, who was the fandom darling in the Old Days. It's very odd. I love him, BUT, I don't love what is sometimes done with him, and I don't love that he overshadows Yugi so much in HIS OWN SHOW.

I think my favs are Filbo and Chandlo but i really like most of the characters, my least fav is Beffica easy. I Do Not Like Her At All.

I am not surprised i like Chandlo so much he is literally the Epitome of the characters im usually drawn to. Hes the stereotypical jock guy, hes nice to ppl and just wants to make friends, hes autistic, hes a himbo, he wants to help whenever he can, hes chill. And then his dynamic with Snorpy, the gay ppl, the codependency, the care you can Feel for each-other, the way they dance around eachother so much. Its The Most Ever, a good part of why i enjoyed BrokenTooth so much.

Filbo is, hes just fun. I couldnt specifically cite a reason why i like him so much hes just, comforting. Hes just this guy he tries so hard all the time over and over again. Hes so nice and wants whats best for everyone and will do whatever he can to make sure people are happy, he doesnt know why Elizabert left him in charge and neither he nor anyone else things he should have been, but he still works so so hard to try and fill her shoes and to be the leader they need him to be. Oh and ofc the frogs hes got his own little froggies and mayo,,,,,,,

Im sorry i know you said Beffica was your favourite but i Hate Her. From the moment i met her i didnt like her and it did not get better. I get the little thing they tried to do with her about her just spreading the truth and getting the blame for things other people did but st the same time like, shes just a shit and i Do Not vibe with her. I dealt with her up until her last sidequest when she had the Nerve to go after my boys Chandlo and Snorpy. Like come on she finds out Chandlo is 100% genuine and immidiately instead tricks Snorpy into confessing about how he feels about Chandlo to her. He still thinks that was Chandlo hes gonna think that Chandlo’s reaction to him confessing was to run away and never address it ever again. Like come on the Least she could was not try to cover her ass and be upfront about it, what reputation is she protecting everyone already doesnt like her. Wished there was a dialogue option where the player Doesnt say theyre her friend i do Not want to be her friend

The rest of the characters i generally like, im kinda indifferent to Wiggle and Cramdo tho. Cramdo i think makes sense he kinda reminds me of spamton but less endearing, dont not like him but dont like him either. For Wiggle i just dont vibe with her much, nothing against her either just dont vibe.

I like Floofty and their whole vibe, particularly the autism and their lack of a moral compass and how it has them interacting with everyone else. I like Triffany and her archeological stuff, and her tendency to distance herself from people when she gets stressed, iits nice to see her contrast everyone else who either desperately wants everyone to stay together or to have absolutely nothing to do with anyone and instead she likes being in the town, but shes conflict avoidant so when one breaks out she’ll just leave, its reasonable. I love Gramble hes such a funky little guy and he loves his bugsnax, plus he just Radiates autism just by looking at him. I love Snorpy, talked about him a bit too when i was talking about Chandlo, hes a fun character on his own with his little conspiracy theories and stuff but to me where he really shines is when he interacts with other people, im sure theres other examples but i Really Really like watching him interact with Chandlo and Floofty, i want to study it under a microscope. I like Wambus his thing with like the gardening and just his overall vibes, not someone i would interact with regularly but i did get a bit excited whenever i had a quest, plus his relationship with Triffany is so wholesome and the cactriffany he made is rlly funny, and ofc Whatever The Fuck is going on with him and Gramble. Shelda had to grow on me a bit, i started off very indifferent she seemed kinda pretentious but she grew on me over her side quests and i did really like her in BrokenTooth, her whole religious experience plotline thing is very interesting to me and has me surprisingly invested for someone whos not and never been religious. Eggabell i… i dont have too much of an opinion on Eggabell, but her motives and the way she treats other people is very interesting, she kinda reminds of Luz in a lot of ways

I havent finished the game yet so i havent met Elizabert but she kinda makes me think of Rose Quartz, makes me think they’re gonna pull something with her at the end. The way everyone hyped her up so much at the start of the game saying all this incredible stuff and they all think shes so great snd then you get further in and some people start talking shit and pointing out her flaws and stuff. Very inch resting

15. ENERGY - What song inspires you most?

It’s a tie between Fire N’ Gold by Bea Miller, Alone Together by Fall Out Boy, Morning In America by Jon Bellion, and Brand New by Ben Rector. Totally coincidentally, all of those songs were used in Batman/Batfamily AMVs and the Batfam was one of first fandoms that I wrote fic for and thus have more than a bit of a nostalgia for to say the least.

Also When Can I See You Again by Owl City, cause I think I remember the movie it was in, Wreck It Ralph during when circumstances were a bit shit, and it cheered me up at the tome, so like, nostalgia attached to the song and all that.

24. GREED - If you could steal a character from any other story, who would you take?

If we’re talking other people’s stuff, none, cause I very quickly start hating most of my own stuff, and I would never wanna ruin my enjoyment of a character or story like that. If we’re talking my own ocs and stories, probably my ex transphobe, ex mean girl, Rachel, who totally didn’t have a whole gay polycule thing going on with her mean girl clique. She’s just an absolute hypocritical looser and I love her.

Also, and Ik i’m contradicting what i said earlier, these couple of characters from a star wars au for a previous fandom where the characters are droids (specifically the dark troopers from mandalorian) who are convinced they’re humans, because they have the memories and conciousness of real humans uploaded into their programming, and they face bigotry for being droids and trying to be treated on the same level as humans.

It was and still is intended as a blatant metaphor for being autistic and/or aspec (also, very important, a metaphor for robots are fucking cool as hell), and the ending would’ve had them still being droids, except they’re in acceptance of that and the people around them aren’t bigots. this month I had the best experience ever. I went to a concert & I happened to be able to help out Eddie. I got to talk to the members of the band, I shared DM's with so many people from the team & the other bands (Port Noir and Novelists, gotta give them credit for being the coolest ever!!).

oh how could I forget? I also had my 5sos concert on the last day of april. it was super special, I made some new friends & actually helped pulling out a girl from the crowd. she had a panic attack and fainted right in front of me so I & her gf helped her and I stayed with them on the side where barely anyone were. we had space to dance, we sang the songs together and I sobbed to Jet black heart & many more songs right there. it was the second best experience in my life, I had so so much fun!!

5. Castaway by 5 Seconds of Summer

fell in love with this song just before the show. I knew it before but it never really excited me much. I've been listening to it for these last couple of weeks, it's the best to hype me up.

actually, I'm more queer than ever this month after watching & reading heartstopper & young royals so yeah. it's alright but I'm getting a bit tired of writing about this song every fucking month, lol.

but what I'm not tired writing of is the mcyt community. I've barely finished my other story (the wilbur soot one) and now I'm writing the most challenging thing: a story about a gay couple from two boys' perspective. it'll be refreshing to get out of the mind of whining girls but I'm a bit terrified as well. wish me luck.

I never had these thoughts before about my sexuality as I am like the teacher from the paris trip, who's figuring shit out at 24, not really knowing what's what yet. I love singing this song, it helped me come to terms with some of the more hidden feelings I have to deal with.

I've watched the show two times now and read the graphic novel & started the other books as well. it's so good, I love the no-drama aspect of the show even though there are things charlie and nick have to concour. it became my absolute fav tv show with the little animations (as my autistic brain can never seem to understand scenes just the right way and this helps so much!)
