random mental health recovery tips cause why not
Keeping a diary of ur mood, energy levels etc (whatever it is that you would like to improve) and ALSO looking at how it coincides with ur menstural cycle if you have one, and also any events in ur life THIS WAY you can track patterns of ur mood and notice what helps and what doesnt etc
create/ designate safe spaces if you can- for example if you go to work and need to be alone and safe where will you go? designate spaces eg the toilet or outside. for example at school i have designated this very empty outdoor space for me thats always empty and has fresh air. in my old school I had designated a specific toilet that felt calming to me idk ADDITIONALLY if you have your own room or any spaces that are completely your own then do what you can to make that space feel calming and safe to you- if not find other areas that you can go to when you need a safe space and need to be calm and alone- for me I have a lot of outdoor spaces like isolated parts of parks and whatnot
panic ritual: this one is a random one but it helps me a lot- i have a list of 3-5 activities to do whenever I panic like a little ritual. this deffo doesnt work if ur having a panic attack but if ur just worrying and overthinking and feeling anxious its a good way to get ur mind off of things and get you doing something else. for example for me if i am at home i do some skincare and then i get some fruit or veg and chop them into tiny pieces which calms me down a lot and then i sit down and watch a comfort tv show or movie while I eat the tiny fruits- or I make a hot choc depends what I have in the fridge.
setting small goals in random stuff: for example setting goals in things outside of your paid work or academics- things that you are not at all required to be good at, for example fitness goals (such as run a 5k) or musical instrument goals like learning a new song on guitar or learning a new language for fun of picking up a new hobby like painting or knitting.- this generally increases ur confidence and makes you feel more capable when you achieve these goals but even if you dont achieve them, they dont matter a lot to your career so its not vital that you achieve them
protein- i never eat enough protein or even know how much of it i should eat so after some research you should basically eat your weight in kg multiplies by 0.75 and that should be how many grams you should eat daily- for example if you weigh 50kg you should eat roughly around 37.5g of protein per day. it gives you energy and stuff so its cool i guesss ALTHOUGH IF YOU DONT FEEL COMFY TRACKING THAT PLEASE DONT, THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION ROUGHLY PLS DONT COUNT MACROS IF YOU DONT FEEL COMFY WITH IT
actually communicate with your loved ones and support systems, it can be scary but it is always so so helpful

I done about 1/3 of all work, but, for some reason, this THING crashed, and my save just became 20 kilobytes as nothing but zeroes. Hex editor made my fear even worse. And I probably have an exported .mp3 somewhere just minutes before tracker crashed...

Time has come to update computer mouse. And, for a long time, I have a powerful mouse. Defender Warhead. It is absolutely true, it works for more than 5 years, and less than 10 years. Let it be about 7-8 years everything works all right. All that happened, in a last time – it is broken mouse wheel. And that’s all the problems. Everything works fines, except wheel. Good mouse. I like it a lot, about how it looks and works.
But, because of middle mouse wheel, I make a decision to change mouse. I search for a different mouse. And this time I choose, Okclick. Okclick Mystery. It is black and pretty heavy by weight. And all the time it shines with different colors. It is pretty big mouse. Middle size, or big size, it will be better check for yourself, it depends on your taste. All these things – about side buttons, and size more or less Dpi also exists. It is done everything comfortable to use.
Buttons with make dpi more or less of the mouse – it is very good solution. Buttons are big and very easy to push. Mouse is gamer mouse type. So, that’s why so many modes of dpi. From small to big.
Left and right mouse buttons – also big. Plastic is very good to touch. Mouse is shining with very interesting colors. Buttons are excellent. Wheel is big. It is also good. Full model Oklick gaming mouse Mystery 708G.
I say, as a single part. That mouse is shining with colors all the time. That is especially cool, if you are gamer, which is a big fan of playing at nights. Mouse is shining, come on man! Plastic is smooth. Mouse itself is black. And it has a backlight. As it has some parts with lighting, which are under the lights. It is lines in a shell. At the borders of the shell. There are some empty parts at the top, near the mouse wheel, and most part that is under the light - it is skull. Skull is at the lights all the time. In darkness of the night, such mouse will shine bright.
I think, that gamers like such things. I remember myself, how I like to play videogames by evening and in the night. To play hard in videogames, you know. So, I remember this tradition, right now. After I become an owner of this mouse. And this is a shining one! So, it is nice to look how it shines in the darkness. Gamer paradise, you know. I think, mouse will be very positive for gamers and pc games fans.
Mouse can change its resolution by buttons at the top part. It has following resolutions -800/1600/2400/3200 dpi. In total, it has 7 buttons. Mouse is with wire. It is connected via usb wire. From website OKLICK you can download universal mouse utility. Oklick Mouse. Today it has version 1.5. Utility can be with Russian or English language. And dark green background color. It has two modes for mouse – for 4 and 6 buttons. And, I guess, left mouse is not taken into account. Because it is for control. And all other buttons you can assign for some action. Macros, there is menu. And, mainly, it is rather simple utility. Easy to understand. Everything is simple and clear. For those who wants to adjust something. Mainly, you can use mouse without this app. It is only for program buttons as you wish, if you want it.
I use this mouse for myself every day. It has a rather big weight. And for games I use this mouse. And for everyday tasks. Internet, programming, different app. Word, for example. Everything is positive! I am happy with this mouse! So, this is such mysterious, well made, mystical mouse!

can I say tv shows? i feel like i should say poetry or epic novels, and i do love so many forms of art for different reasons but... idk
maybe it's just bc i'm rewatching one of my favourite series right now and i can't stop admiring how much i love it, but something about the possibility of telling epic-length stories, being able to take time to care about micro and macro details, being able to engage with a good series casually or from an analytical lense, possible combinations of words and audiovisuals and longform character development and interactions mini episode beats as well as larger season/series beats...... yeah I love tv 🙈

Which is fine but not taking the whole package (and only specific modules) is eventually gonna be a major learning experience for me considering the reason I revamp it all beyond control freak stuff is literally to provide less exclusive / less invasive tools that anyone can learn and customize despite being very... idiosyncratic yk.

My friends mats cat is named Dude, he's one of my favs. But my black mainecoon cat Gideon is my favorite, and I'm his favorite person. He was my emotional support animal when I was going through the second AIDS epidemic on my own. He was so comfortable with me, he let me hold his back paw while cradling him. I did that everyday, most people don't pay attention to their pets like that
I noticed he paid attention to my music sometimes, not all the time. So I whenever he reacted to my music, and I could see it in his face when he was because neurodivergent folk can read animal body language, I added it to a playlist I made for him. When he didn't react for a couple minutes I skipped it. Spent like over an hour doing this cause that's what folk like me do when we ain't gotta work our lives away

Death's Door
Recently, I listened to Band of Skulls’ Himalayan for the first time in a while. Though it’s by no means top tier for me compared with the entire oeuvre of music, I’ve always quite liked it. There’s about three more plodding ballads than I’d prefer, but there’s no denying the groove on songs like the title track or 'Asleep at the Wheel'. What really struck me on that listen, though, was an issue of timing. As I listened, I couldn’t help comparing it to the classic 70’s rock and blues it’s inspired by, and the interesting thing is - it stacks up. I’m fully convinced that if Himalayan dropped in 1971, Band of Skulls would stand among the classic rock pantheon; the riffs, the swagger, the catchy vocal hooks, it’s all there. Play it next to a Cars album, and it hangs. Thing is… the album came out in 2014, so it’s just another drop in the bucket.
All art is inherently tied to the era it’s created and released. Art isn’t made (or viewed) in a vacuum; it’s the summation of all of a creator’s influences & inspirations, and a reaction to the contemporaneous art being made around them. Normally, creators are working within the mold of their peers, with perhaps one solid fresh take or angle to put in, and end up creating work that is Good. The ones that are remembered and referenced decades later, though, are often the works that take a big swing, that take a big leap forward, and are different enough that they not only stay in the public consciousness, but have an outsized influence on the art and artists that come in their wake. We’re talking your Star Wars, your Evangelion.
Due to the constant progression of style and medium, of course, it’s common for one to go back to works like this and be underwhelmed - as TV Tropes puts it, the ‘Seinfeld is Unfunny’ effect. This happens when a work is so influential, and so much other art is derivative of it, that the original itself seems uninspired and doesn’t quite live up to the cultural hype - and, since it was the first of its kind, it’s often rougher around the edges and less refined than the works riffing and iterating on it. I’ve run aground of this many a time when going back to classics, to varying emotional responses: while I take some weird, anti-boomer pleasure in thinking the Stones are boring as fuck, there’s also a part of me that weeps for the deep ambivalence I felt after reading Akira for the first time. I’ve even gotten this feeling when revisiting a work that I loved back when it was fresh: Bastion set the indie world on fire back in 2011, but a revisit in 2022 left me cold.
(as a friend put it, Bastion walked so Hades could run… but going back to that pace is tough.)
The other end of this spectrum, then, is a work that is almost… the endpoint of a certain style, as set in motion by one of those classics. A work created by people that have seen what started the subgenre, that have seen the work that was inspired by it, that have read decades of criticism and know what works and what doesn’t. A work that, conceptually speaking, is playing things about as safe as it possibly can, but is absolutely nailing everything it goes for on the technical level. It shows a deep understanding, even reverence, for what came before, it speaks to a mastery of craft, and to a deep polish and sense of perfectionism. This sort of work isn't attempting to break the mold; they know exactly the type of work they want to emulate, and are just doing it exceptionally well... if about twenty years late. This, to me, is Himalayan, and, as you may have guessed by this point, this is Death’s Door. The unfortunate thing is, where Himalayan’s humble confidence always lands for me, Death’s Door left a lot to be desired.
There should be a lot to love here. The visual design is sharp, with a cool macro lens effect and well-defined shape language. The locations are varied and distinct, while keeping to a consistent palette. The controls are responsive and intuitive. The music is pleasant. The game runs well, and doesn’t have any huge design snags or difficulty spikes that leave it feeling undercooked. It’s just… that’s all there is to it, really. It’s all very polished and well done and dull.
Playing it just feels like going through the motions. There’s this big world, but despite being a crow, you don’t really have any interesting movement options; you’re just slowly running from place to place, and there is a non-trivial amount of backtracking to do. I put all my points in the game’s upgrade system towards movement, just so I could get from place to place marginally faster. The combat is pretty average; its risk/reward projectile system is reminiscent of Hyper Light Drifter. There’s not many mix-ups or options; you have a sword, a dodge, a projectile. You get new weapons, but they’re more or less stat changes. You have upgrades, but they’re pretty unnoticeable percentage stat boosts. None of the enemy designs are particularly compelling* or difficult, and challenge is largely increased by throwing out a bunch of them at once, or in repeated waves.
*I will give the one exception here to the Urn Witch fight, which was chock-full of interesting patterns and give & take.
There’s not even really puzzles, per se. There’s ways you interact with the environment to proceed, sure, and you get items that let you access new areas, but it’s more like being a rat in a maze than anything else. You enter one of the labyrinthine areas, and the way forward is just to make sure you’ve gone down every corridor, pulled every lever, and used the right projectile for each obstacle. You can usually see everything you’ll need to do when you enter a space, you just have to perform the rote actions necessary to proceed in a way that isn't particularly interesting or satisfying.
One of these moments is the exact point where I mentally checked out of the game, during the Flooded Fortress level. You’re walking along a long series of docks and fortifications, occasionally loosing an arrow at a pink button to open the way, but mostly just ambling down a long, winding pathway.
And then, you come to this gate. You’re coming from the path to the top, and you need to get up those stairs and through the gate, but the gate is closed. See that lever, just below the gate? That lever opens the gate. So you walk around the side of the gate, pull the lever, the gate opens, and you can then walk back and proceed through the gate.
What the fuck? What is this? Is this supposed to be a puzzle? Is this gameplay? What are we doing here?
...
Speaking of labyrinthine areas, hot damn, this game could use a map. The levels are sprawling, and while there’s a lot of visual variety between the different areas, each area itself is sorely lacking in landmarks and waypoints. The cemetery hub was the worst offender; every time I had to go back there I had a sense of dread, despite there being literal signposts littered around. I also felt there was precious little actual worldbuilding for how much the game seems to want to be a tone piece. The levels are certainly themed and attractive, they just feel more like levels from a PS1 platformer, using the theme as set dressing. It’s another context situation: fifteen years ago, this level of polish alone would turn heads, while today, I compare it to Hyper Light Drifter’s fabulous and enigmatic environmental storytelling and feel it coming up short.
Death’s Door has its charm. I love the lil spirit guys that line up and follow you around. They did a great job with the main character’s idle pose, how he just twitches around doing bird shit. I thought the furnace sequence, with the pistons synced to the frenetic music, was a memorable standout. Some of the dialogue and characters are great; shout-out to the crow in the main office that just fucking CAN NOT get enough paperwork, like just could not be happier the more monotonous typing she has to do. Keep thriving, queen.
My favorite idea is how you hold a funeral for each boss after defeating them. I’m sure this ties into some of the game’s ruminations on the role of death as the game goes on (I’ll never know, I quit after the Frog King), but it’s just such a novel thing to do. How many enemies do we slay in any game, how many bosses, how many people with names and backstory and motivations do we cut down, and how rarely does a game take a moment to acknowledge their passing? This is obviously not the first game to explore this idea - look at Shadow of the Colossus, hell, I just played through NieR, and I’m sure this has been done before I was even born. But the simple mundanity of having you and the other NPCs gather around and say a few words about some big fuckin frog you just beat to death lends a fascinating sense of gravity and normalcy to the proceedings.
Well, let me pay my last respects to Death’s Door, then. If you came out ten years ago, you would’ve blown everybody’s fucking mind, I’m sure.

brainstorming sketches for my initial ideas for characters in my parade.
character line-up in macro.

-the banner bearer (jester)
-scarecrow-like hay men (performers)
-crescent moon fairy (ruler)
-fawn on snail back (town crier)

for the banner bearer I was inspired by the descriptions of the banner from 'Johnathan strange and Mr Norrell,' I thought a good idea would be to have a person carrying a banner at the front of the parade. I decided to have a semi-circular banner as it looks less conventional than a square one. I then was inspired by the symmetry of a peacock tale and the banner whilst sketching, and I thought it made an interesting outline which is important for differentiating the characters. i was not so sure how to make the head interesting, so I though about the pagan costumes id found for the mood board and came up with this design.
this design has an air of mystery to it, it covers their face dehumanising them to the viewer. the large Edwardian dress they are waring keeps in line with the semi-circle shape language of the character whilst also evoking the 'Labyrinth' ballroom scene. an interesting detail is that their are no eyeholes to the head peace implying they cant see. it is ironic that a blind character is at the front of the parade, meaning the parade has no exact path it follows. this character is also carrying the burden of the banner. the constant tripping up and carrying of a large banner implies that this character is being punished, and their placement at the front puts this on show . that is why this character fits the description of the fool as they are shown off to be mocked. Fairy punishments are brought up several times in 'Johnathan strange and mister Norrell' and are often strange, for example the gentleman with the thistle down hair remarks that he has turn people into carpets as a form of punishment. however overall I am the most satisfied with this characters appearance and outline as it makes it stand out from the rest. however the symbolism on the banner and peacock esc backpiece I might change based on other characters to tie them together.
the hay men are foppish like performers, with musical instruments who are identical (I felt that 5 characters only made the parade look less impressive) these characters I am less happy with, although they have interesting silhouettes they lake a strong enough link to fairies, however it dose draw inspiration from the pagan costumes.
the crescent moon fairy was the character I wanted to be shown as the ruler of this parade. I tried to show that by using hight so having them flying, this meant that it would be reasonable for them to have horns. I drew inspiration from and earlier drawing I had done.
I decided to follow the expected design of giving them insect wings, more specifically butter fly wings. butterfly's have fake eye spots on their wings and I wanted to run with this and make them human eyes. this informed the pattern for the fools banner as the eye could be the crescent moon fairy's symbol. i was inspired by biblically accurate angels and the angel of death from 'Hell boy'. the latter inspired the head shape of ruler. the upturned eyebrows are a common attribute of a fairy as said in 'Johnathan strange and Mr Norrell,' along with pointed ears.
I also have a book called 'Faeries'(2002) this book was illustrated by Brian Froud , who was the concept artist for the dark crystal and Labyrinth.
there is a specific style of facial shape portrayed in this book for fay. I want to emulate it more with this character. and example of this is a illustration from the book shown below.

the next character is the fawn and the snail. the idea was that there should be a fawn who is caring a heavy horn. to attract people to the carnival. the shape of the horn reminded me of a snail shell, in my initial sketches this developed into a snail.
I then decided to make the snail bigger to contrast the size and shape of the other character.
how ever despite the shape language of this character there's not to much that links them to the parade.
the stolen child
through both 'Johnathan strange and Mr Norrell,' and 'Faeries' and through all traditional fairy stories faeries are reputed to steal people away. they also use enchantments to make then do their bidding, for example 'faeries' describes this as "a faerie kiss or faerie food or drink, can lead to captivity for ever in the world of faeries." this was the inspiration for this character. the most commonly taken people are children, the prevalence of the changeling mythology is a prefect representation of this. changelings are replacement doppelgangers swapped for a human child that has been stolen. the idea of a child taking part in this parade I think gives an interesting contrast to the other character designs.
the rose that's replaced her mouth is directly inspired by Johnathan strange and Mr Norrell,' as a character in that book is stolen away every night. to avoid this going noticed by people around her the fairy places a "muffling spell" on her that when seen by a magician looks like a rose covering her mouth. for my character I decided to take this imagery literally and make the child's mouth a rose. in my initial sketches I drew her holding a bouquet of dead flowers to play off the flower motif in this design. but in later designs i changed the Bouquet to a chest. i did this to make it more obvious that she's working for the fairy than just following the parade.
now i have the initial ideas for the characters i intend to further narrow down my ideas and finalize the designs.

The first time I heard this piece, I was 18 years old. It was 1988. I discovered Geri Allen through her work on Steve Coleman and FIve Elements (an incredible ensemble of musicians that, in addition to Allen and bandleader Steve Coleman (sax), featured DK Dyson, Cassandra Wilson, Kevin Bruce Harris, Graham Haynes, Marvin "Smitty" Smith and Greg Osby) and I quickly discovered that what she was doing was bigger than the M-Base ("macro-basic array of structured extemporization") sound that Coleman was doing, and that she was speaking my musical language.
This entire album opened my eyes in a very real way. I am obsessed with musical articulation. What is the musical piece saying, and is it saying it clearly?
Today would have been Geri Allen's 66th birthday. Maybe someone will hear her music today and have their world changed.

Truth is the clarity of who you are as spirit and what will be threaded in greater truth; truth is always threaded with greater truth; and thus allows the clarity, colour, sound, resonance will be known; you will be known by your light, light is sound, it is colour, it is what your sensing can determine and then translate - you are all translation vessels and how you interpret any energy is what you have all signed on for; and how to master, navigate, and attune to greater fields of vibratory play; this is evolution and the philosophy to all life; eternal life
The greater self aware and self loving you are, the more attunement to reading Source, colouring, singing with, honouring with, the more fulfilling life will be; consciousness is everything - how you call in wisdoms, knowing, life, and what is interpretation of any field of consciousness before you, within you, without -
Why the sacred texts; know thyself - why a 3D close-minded person, in lack, limitation, following conformity will see nothing that a awakened, open-minded, clear, self loving, self knowing and connected being and entangled with Source, your guides, your highest self;
Refining who I am, vibrationally is key to further study, deeper truth, higher knowing, bringing higher codes to earth and being able to read and interpret and would not be as clear in environments of chaos and darkness and with those that choose to live in closed off, negative, fear-based, fearful, controlling ways; why enlightened ones always will be guided away, to always grow, and be inspired, be activated, and living in greater truth to explore, express freely and divinely unlevelled circumstances; and the experience of a new realm - for what a 5D person feels, knows, expresses is not what a 3D person will - ©
A seer; for example; I went to the river the other day, and I was able to sense the water life - the water ships, the beings that are always with me; as when I was little, I would gaze at life, nature, and see what many simply walk by and turned off to; I see the plasma movement of life between life - there is always more life, there is always greater truth - all is the blessing of all life - and what Source offers to all freely and equally - it is what is within, what is your love, belief, and work within yourself and why refining your vibration, refining what is serving you, the relationships that are drama-filled, toxic, or chaotic leave little room for the relationaship and divinity of you - for the pulling, pushing, manipulation is all false - hard to read through - hard to be fully you - like being suffocated by the mess of not knowing oneself; and all is up to each to recall all your own energy, recall all your own soul fragments, and begin healing -
These are not judgments I speak of, for I have been on every step of the journey times ten; I am merely saying the words in your language that show, tell, allow you to sense, look, mirror and reflect upon your life - these are words you know - this is energy - and how it feels when you are not aligned with your highest self
For the environments, the ones that pushed and pressed hate and spell work on me and how damaging and self serving that such acts are done from; all from the wounding and what I am here to present as so very key to our human evolution and divine inherent gifts that are who we are, what we harmonize to greater realms of multi-dimensional play - we are far more than a bag of bones and old dogma and misguided scripts.
Every health issue, every mental, financial, emotional, physical all is energy first - every disease, ill, imbalance and how we are now allowing the creator into our lives and renew our contracts within - our circle of who we are - you are all in your reality -
All have choice and choice = reality.
If you love yourself, care for your body, mind, spirit; you will create higher vibrational choices - self love is self loving reality - it is all vibrational - I speak and seem to be able to offer such so that being human, moving through trauma, misguidance and illusions, pain, suffering, only a portal to something new and self loving, self harmony - you are meant to feel it all - it is life - and how enjoyable it can be when you Choose to refine, attune, go within, and speak of God within - it is not religion - IT is our birthright of becoming; and this is truth. This may trigger and anger those that simply choose to not see the beauty of this within - and that is ok; I am only here in contract to speak that which is truth; of how, only how the words allow for and know there are codes, offerings, sounds, and light being offered more than such - this is the role of a conduit -

All is the blessing for each to go within and renew the contract with your soul, your spirit, your world, your collective; you are here in contrast of your own past, to see it, love it, honour it and heal it in neutrality and balance and as a contract to your collective - this is the law of oneness and all planets that work in communion with this -
All is purposeful and all is needed; however we are not meant to get stuck in any one path, or version of limitation - we are meant to grow beyond and expand beyond all that was & know how is our own story to offer greater knowing, codes, love, compassion, service to our human family - all are meant to heal and go deeper and more self loving and self forgiving - the nature all life is within - what is truth
