REGRETEVATOR HEADCANONS BOOOOO SCARY
Pest LOVES taxidermy, especially rouge taxidermy. Its a special interest of theirs and they've even tried some of it themselves. He's pretty good at it!!
Poob also likes taxidermy!! Though the specific process you have to do makes poob very squeamish and sick and icky,, (that being said poob IS NOT a uwu soft enby bean, they could kick ur ass lmao)
Poobians as a whole, are the embodiments of joy, happiness, and FUN!!!!!! They thrive off envoirments with high morale and general good vibes. Their population dwindles when said elements are scarce. If a poobian's mental health is hurt in anyway, that poobian's mental health will directly correspond to their physical health, causing the poobian to fall ill.
If a poobian falls to much into their pit of despair, they can "metamorphize" into a party pooper. Party poopers are the antithesis to poobians, thriving off of despair, sadness, and turmoil. Party poopers aren't inherently evil, but their nihilistic and melancholic nature can cause party pooper communities to be.. Not the healthiest space for anybody to be in.
Party poopers can remorph themselves into a poobian, but that requires extensive mental health intervention for that to happen. Depending on how much despair is in a party pooper, recovery can take as long as years.
To avoid this, poobians are a very social species. Full of many support systems ready to help any poobian! Though unfortunately, toxic positivity has been prevalent in some poobian societies. And there's a silent, but all to painful ableism riddled in poobian society as a whole.
Every poobian smells like their favorite food!
Pest has an EXTREMELY hard time empathizing, thanks to her undiagnosed aspd, npd, and autism. They also have an hard time realizing the concept of consequence and law. (this is pretty much canon expect for the autism part iirc but yeagh)

She didnt tell pilby that she knew they wrote those letters until after pilby confessed their love to them. That made pilby all bright red it was adorable
The confession in question was pilby performing a musical number about all the stored feelings they've been hiding for split all told through song and... It didn't go how pilby wanted to and kind of failed, but split still was genuinely blown away by it. She cheered pilby up when they commented how "bad" it was and kissed them on the forehead....... <33

Gnarpy's form is a facade, like how invader zim has a human disguise. It acts like a shield, keeping gnarpy's (surprisingly frail) true form safe in a non gnarpian envoirment. It's designed to be conventionally "cute" to ward off suspicion, and increase trustworthyness.
Gnarpian govermentals are planning on making upgraded versions of these facades. Making them more unassuming. They're even planning "human" looking facades. It's fucking scary

Kokichi being related to Ishimaru
Apolllo: All the killing games were simulations (though Junko did die. She had it set up that once she was executed, life support would be switched off and a poison would be administrated meaning she didn't have to face them for she knew it would cause despair for them not to get that sort of closure. She made sure her pod was hidden as well).
Kokichi got some of his leadership skills from his cousin, one Kiyotaka Ishimaru. They have different styles sure but he still learnt most of his things from Taka.
He also learnt some from both Byakuya and the Imposter (who's impressed that Kokichi somehow managed to pick up that they weren't all they seemed).
It hurt all three of them though Byakuya is hesitant to admit it to see him in V3 and the way he acted during it. It hit Imposter hard because they were one of the causes behind the tragedy which ended up with Kokichi being captured.

Apollo: He's shielded dw! Kokichi doesn't tell anyone about their connection until he gets into Hope's Peak and one of them (probably Taka) slip up and mention that they're cousins or something

Apollo: Oh it really does. Especially when he gets his acceptance letter. He's tried to be his own person but he now officially has a (somewhat) similar talent to his cousin.
As for the cop uncle, it's sorta awkward because DICE aren't the most…Law abiding citizens out there
Ves: the ishimarus are canonically poor as dirt bc of what happened, but there seems to be a lot of pride in not turning to ~less scrupulous~ ways of earning money. the friction DICE'd cause,,,ouch
Apollo: It's something that annoys the hell out of Kokichi. So what if he's pulling stupid pranks and occasionally petty theft?
If the world finds out he's connected to them, they're gonna expect it so may as well have fun.
Taka's tried to stop him but it hasn't worked. Kokichi's got it in his mind that because Japan basically hates his family, he may as well give them a reason to hate him for more than any connections he has
He almost turns down Hope's Peak but DICE encourage him to go…They regret it when everything happens though

He is slowly improving his relationship with his cousin and uncle but it's slow
Me: what if the reason Kokichi is shielded from the association with Ishimarus because he's from Taka's mother's side of the family, and his mom (or it could be dad ig, but I imagined mom) was like "I can't believe my sister married a cop" and kept him away for the most part, not fully cutting them off, but they're distant, usually making sure to meet up without the old man there
Apollo: OH HELL YES
Kokichi purposely fucks with the law because
A) It's fun
B) He sees how much the whole distance thing is actually hurting the family
C) He just wants attention from them and what better way than to end up at the station his uncle works at?
Taka tries to reconnect when he realises Kokichi is at Hope's Peak but Ko keeps brushing him off despite knowing he's not to blame for everything
Me: yes, cause, when I said they meet up without the old man, I definitely had them still meeting and playing together as kids, but as they got older they started to sense something is off, and their mothers don't get along as well as they tried to make it seem and instead just tried to still support each other despite their disagreements
Kokichi probably had a lot of hand-me-downs from Taka when they were kids
Apollo: Imagine if that ends up making Kokichi feel worse because yet again, he's connected to the part of the family his mother is lowkey trying to make him hate or something
Me: I just wanted to be silly and have Kokichi's mom say acab and be the one that gave Kokichi his values when this started

Me: She just disapproves, but still loves her sister and they supported each other through rising kids

Hair: Long and curly. She takes great care of it and regularly despair at what Inge does with hers.
Eyes: Brown
Skin: Fair, but tan easily. Considering how much time she spends outside, people tend to assume her skin is darker than it actually is (on this point the screenshots aren't very accurate since they don't show her tan but that'd be a nightmare to represent accurately XD)
Tattoos/scars: No tattoos whatsoever. She's got plenty of scars, most aren't really remarkable, but there are two that are special: one from Zenos' blade when he stabbed her in Rhalgr's Reach (it's not just her ego who got bruised that day, sorry MSQ), and one from her cesarean section while she was on the First. Don't worry: nothing creepy happened while she was unconscious, G'raha just had the worst timing ever.

Parents: Her father lives peacefully in Tural. She has no idea where her mother is, if she's still alive or even who she was since she left when Aïcha was still an infant.
Edmont de Fortemps also counts (haha) as a paternal figure in her life.
Siblings: None by blood. She does consider Alisaie and Alphinaud like her siblings, however. Artoirel and Emmanellain are more like extended family.
Grandparents: Long dead of her father's side. No idea on her mother's.
In-laws and Other: Well, she's in a relationship with Estinien so I suppose Alberic counts as her father in-law. The moment both realized that their respective father would have to meet eventually was glorious, because the dad jokes will be neverending and mostly at their expense.
Officially, they also have a kid together born during her time on the First.
Officially, because Estinien offered to adopt the kid and pretend he was the biological dad. Only three people know who said bio dad truly is, none of them is the man in question, and Aïcha would rather die than say it out loud. It's one thing to make dubious life choices, another one to let the world know about it...
(I haven't decided on the name or gender yet, but we can thank @gatheredfates for the prompt she sent me. It got completely out of hand but I'm having a lot of fun with the idea it gave me.)

Abilities: Excellent shooter, although her mechanical skills don't go much further than what she needed to maintain her guns. She hasn't touched one in years and has no intention to change that.
Excellent dancer given that she's trained since childhood. She dances about as much for the artistry of it as for the self-expression it allows without having to speak her feelings out.
She also went through the GLD/PLD quests in Ul'dah, and that's mainly how she's been fighting since then.
She's also a surprisingly good poet and singer, albeit that's not known to many people.
Hobbies: Writing or reading poetry, singing, dancing and trying out new food (including the kind of food that even the most adventurous people hesitate to put in their mouth). She's pretty receptive to art in general to be honest and will gladly watch plays or go to concerts if she can.

Mount Issuance: Aïcha didn't join any free company. That'd mean taking orders and she's no soldier, so she didn't have a mount until Haurchefant offered her her black chocobo. As you can guess, it's been her mount ever since.
I'm not entirely clear on the timeline in StB yet for her, but if she got her yol, she left it with the Mols.

SF6 Comic Issues #3 thoughts
A bit late with this one since I had no time whatsoever the past few weeks, and I think they’ve wrapped it up now? I’ll have to get to issue #4 separately but it sure feels like it, also holy shit what an ending if so.
Frankly the way things have been going for him I wouldn’t be surprised if Ken actually was just attacked by a random pack of vultures, or that JP would have trained vultures to sicc on him. Also nice bird symbolism with these and his cane in Issue #2 as hints towards him being the real figure behind Amnesia, I guess it wasn’t that surprising but we BETTER get that plague doctor mask as an option for him in-game

A lot of beats I appreciate here like how, in JP’s speech about how their top priority is to defend the citizens of Nayshall and how they are at risk even if the information isn’t true, and how his line about countries having an excuse to intervene is punctuated by focusing on the American paramilitary hearing it (and in the next issue these guys will generally make things worse, with Luke having to yell at them to stand down so they don’t execute Ken within broad daylight with millions watching). Might be reading too much into it but I can’t see this, when American interventionism is relevant to the plot and the next issue will feature a character criticizing it, as a coincidence.
I’m grateful that Luke is stepping in to play the part of “brash idiot cop representing De Law chasing the actual hero while usually being either useless or making things worse”, a massive burden lifted from Chun-Li’s shoulders that she’s always been too good for, but he isn’t. And I particularly love that beat where JP catches Luke having a conscience crisis while moping about his origin story, and gently but firmly knocks him back into the narrative he needs him to play his part in
A little dissappointed that Amnesia was never real but, I knew JP’s mask-off moment was going to be sick. And since this a prequel comic and Ken’s situation has notably not improved much in-game, we knew JP was going to get away with everything. But oh my god this is so good, I’m gonna have to make at least one post on JP and the picture the comic presents of him specifically, he’s so fucking good.
Just how much he’s getting away with is one thing, but that mask off moment being punctuated with not only JP turning into a Metal Gear villain smugly monologuing about his philosophical terrorist plans that lie somewhere between batshit and poignant, but there’s the reveal that he’s placed cellphones modified into exploding triggers for drone bombs across the entire city and strapped Mel to a chair with one of those bombs beneath it, forcing Ken to decide to either let his son die or press the button to detonate all of those bombs on innocents within the city (and thus actually have blood in his hands).
And he says this to Ken while loudly tapping his cane rhythmically to the ticking of the bomb hanging over Mel’s head as if, what, the guy wasn’t psychologically crumbling fast enough for his liking. And he leaves merrily whistling to himself, completely secure.
Next issue begins with a news report stating that multiple bombs were detonated and several buildings were levelled and several civilians injured (with no casualities only because Luke figured it out early and issued a warning), no “the bombs were decoys” fake-out so, yeah, Ken actually did just press a button to kill people there and in the next issue we see how badly this and the whole situation have driven him into despair.
And it seems like a wholly sadistic and pointless cruelty JP’s inflicting on him, but oh no it isn’t, as we’ll see in the next issue. All of JP’s talk about stories and narratives and fictions that people crave at the expense of reality come to a head in, what else, a fight, the only fight in the comic as of yet. Maybe as cynically as this series has ever approached the premise of getting two guys to duke it out for people’s entertainment as a form of storytelling.
A premise that you wouldn’t remotely be able to tell with Ryu or Sakura or Chun-Li and so on, because this is professional street fighting stripped to it’s coldest capitalist reality, a cruel and exploitative distraction run by number-crunching profiteers playing along chumps with their reasons for butchering each other publicly.
Y’know somehow Street Fighter was less dark when druglord dictators and eugenicist cult leaders were in charge of these tournaments.

sorry to ask again, i actually forgot another Dio question i really was curious to see, as you are basically the Dio encyclopedia, lmao. I heard people say Ungalo inhereted Dio's hatred of the world and Diego is a mysanthrope. Do you think main!Dio is one as well? Like i sort of see it and don't? He sees all humans as equally unequal to him. But i don't see outright loathing of mankind.
No I don't think of Dio as a misanthrope like Diego and Ungaro. I saw something yesterday in Ungaro's jojowiki entry and it relates to your ask:
"Inheriting his father's worst traits, Ungalo is a sadistic, violent, and incredibly vulgar individual with a short temper. He holds a grudge against the world for his circumstances, wishing to plunge it into despair and chaos."
It stood out for me then because I don't think of Ungaro as inheriting much of anything from Dio really, like a lot of his actions don't resonate with Dio's own (case in point, Ungaro basically got a small taste of extreme power, lost it almost immediately, and as a result plunged into a despair and lost the will to live, that’s sort of the opposite of how Dio reacts to defeat).
Re: Ungaro's grudge against the world and his wish to see it plunge into despair, that's in line with how Araki will later characterize Diego. But Diego isn't Dio and one of the big differences between them is that Dio's maybe too narcissistic to focus his efforts on causing others despair. You have to care a lot about the rest of society in order make it the focus of your efforts, and Dio seems a lot more self-focused/self-absorbed. And while Diego's driven by trying to prove himself to a society that's devalued him and his mother by ascending its ranks (by marriage and through sport), Dio just discards the idea that participation in that society is a given and instead adopts a sort of 'nature's law' outlook where the strong prey upon the weak.

re-reading sucker punch, and I had some thots.
"Lestat glances down for a quick moment, and bites at his bottom lip as he smiles." (What I see)
"It’s been so humiliating and yet…
Louis begins to follow after; the enthusiasm in every step Lestat takes drawing him in." Lestat "BITCHES LOVE me for my boundless optimism" De Lioncourt.
“Again,” Louis laughs and shakes his head. “For the third time?” (Once this man managed to make you laugh, you know you have lost. Why you pretending?).
........
“Shall I beg then?” Lestat asks, taking a step closer, then another, and one more. Louis can smell his cologne, musky and expensive. “Would you like me on my knees, Louis?” (LE GASP! THIS WHORE!)
Lestat laughs, claps his hands, and reaches out to grab at Louis’ wrist. He tugs, and Louis is so taken aback by it that he can’t find the words to speak aloud.
......
Lestat is telling him but all Louis can concentrate on is how warm Lestat’s hand is as he keeps a hold on Louis’ wrist. He focuses on the way Lestat’s fingertips press against his pulse point.
Lestat laughs, shaking his head at Louis. “You are very stubborn. Did you know?”
Louis shrugs. “Just pointing out facts,” he says softly. (keep being a tsundere Louis! hot gyal tings! Keep THEM GUESSING! Keep them working for ya favor!)
Louis quirks a brow up at that. “You promise you don’t bite?” (You know damn well you want to him to bite you!)
“I didn’t want to assume, but since you’re French-French,” Louis murmurs. He regrets it only seconds later when he notices the pink tint upon Lestat’s perfectly shaped cheeks.
“French-French,” Lestat repeats. “Is that meant to be an insult? And here I had believed we were beginning to get along well.” (GET HIM LOUIS!)
“You could have fooled me,” Lestat laughs, but none of this is funny. This entire night has been one disaster after the other. “I have been kind, willing to try and make the best of this night. You have pushed against my every attempt.” BITCH love it when you are confrontational always! They love my boy for his tsundere swag!
Daniel huffs about the comment from behind him and turns the sink on to wash his hands. “He’s not a serial killer, damn. That was one time, and the guy was already in prison! We were pen pals, Louis! This is different.” (LMAO We all have that one friend whose taste in men is deadly, but Louis is not in any position to judge,, but now I need to know all about Daniel's love life, like damn).
He is an idiot. He is a jerk. This is why Louis keeps to himself, and why he concentrates on his business and nothing more. He doesn’t need to pull anyone into his personal web of bullshit and despair. (Baby you did nothing wrong! You never do anything wrong! stop accepting accountability. It's everyone else's fault my precious! STOPT THE THE SELF HATE)
Lestat suddenly moans. He moans and Louis’ eyes widen in surprise, while Levi chokes and sputters on his coffee. (WHORE!)
Levi gasps, wipes at his lips with a napkin. ......
Louis reaches out, smacking his brother in law on the back. “You good, man?” (The homosexual activity killing levi!)
A second date. Oh, God above, please don’t let him fall again. Please don’t let him make a total fool of himself again.

Specially for you Alex, I gift you another excerpt from Hope!Hob because I know this is going to wreck you
Dream had seen it, slowly but surely, over the past year. Ever since the pandemic had hit, his husband had been slowly fading. The exhaustion had been first; Hob had never had a problem with sleeping, especially with Dream of the Endless sharing his bed every night, but no amount of sleep had been able to quell the fatigue nor erase the ever-darkening circles under his eyes. Then came the depression. Dream had stormed Despair's realm, demanding that she release Hob, but even Despair had seemed shocked by her brother-in-law’s state; she had had no hand in it, she assured them. Finally, Dream had turned to his elder brother, Destiny.
“The Everlasting are not Endless,” he had said. “They are more powerful than gods, but they operate on belief nevertheless. Hope is a mirror of humanity. The wellbeing of humanity will impact the wellbeing of Hope Everlasting.”
And that had been supremely unhelpful. The world was a year into one of the biggest disease outbreaks since the Black Death itself. Hope was in short supply and Hob, newly ascended, lacked the power to be able to affect much change. So he had endured as best as possible, hunkered down in his flat, confined to video lectures and virtual classes, withering away in front of Dream’s very eyes.
"Oh no, what will happen to Hob?" I say, knowing full well what's going to happen to Hob...
I'm still very early into this wip so there's still a pretty rigorous editing process it'll go through, but I'm very excited to share it! It's definitely just a self-indulgent pet project for now but I'm sure you'll hear me rant and rave about it on discord so much that you'll be sick of it by the end lmao

Batman Annual 14 is really the definitive Two-Face origin in my opinion largely because it does the best job of emphasizing the steady barrage of horrific events and general stressors leading to his complete loss of faith in the efficacy of the law and the judicial system down to the most basic assumption of safety from violent assault as an attorney in a goddamn courtroom and it fleshes out the childhood trauma that parallels him with Bruce not as the REASON for him becoming Two-Face but as just another horrible stressor that is dredged up on top of everything else while his coping mechanism and outlet for it crumbles before his eyes. The circumstances make the acid bath a believable “final straw” (rather than the 1:1 acid made him crazy thing 😭) and it doesn’t portray Two-Face as an “inevitability,” but rather the idea that it was inevitable and he never had a choice is something Harvey himself clings onto to rationalize and distance himself from the guilt of his actions and the perceived “badness” of his anger. The emphasis on the unstoppable force-immovable object conflict between his intense desire to do and be good against his anger and despair and disillusionment tempting him to become the “bad” that he’s always feared he fundamentally is and the immense distress that causes him is very central here and I appreciate that. And most importantly it shows GILDA as someone firmly in his corner all throughout and utterly convinced of his “goodness.”
I can’t speak fully on the Loeb version until I’ve re-read Dark Victory too for the whole story but in general I find some issue with that version of Harvey. The psychological/traumatic aspect of Two-Face is minimized which is fine in theory but there’s also a severe minimization of the factors at play that lead to Harvey’s snapping so as a result he’s portrayed as cynical, pessimistic, and a bit bloodthirsty all throughout the story as sort of his default state, which I’m not a big fan of. The distance between this version of Harvey and Two-Face is not very big, which helps with “believability” I guess, but it’s just not how I prefer to interpret Harvey Dent, District Attorney personally. I want him to fall far because that’s what makes the tragedy imo. There doesn’t seem to be a destruction of faith and an ultimate “snapping” here so much as Harvey taking the burning of his face as an excuse to run off and just do exactly what he’d been itching to do the whole time. However this all clearly works well with the central mystery of finding out who the Holiday killer is, because by the time even Bruce and Gordon are nearly convinced it’s Harvey, it makes sense why they feel that way. Harvey had been dropping red flags throughout the whole story Lmao. BUT in terms of him being suspected of serial killing I have more thoughts in the next one 👇
Two Face: Year One is NOT an ideal version of the story either for a few reasons with its biggest sin being the unforgivable complete and utter omission of Gilda but it also adds/emphasizes some things I really like, such as the friendship between Harvey and Bruce from long before Harvey was DA. The most interesting part of this version to me is that Harvey’s history of mental illness is exposed and that is what is used to cast doubt on him (as opposed to like. his personality lmfao) leading to basically the whole city suspecting that he’s become a serial killer and watching everyone up to and including his good friend Bruce Wayne (and not to mention his dedicated therapist who he considers a father figure😭) seemingly turn on him overnight and expect the worst with genuinely NO evidence other than his imagined instability as a human being which becomes a very tragic and unfair sort of self-fulfilling prophecy moment. But I HATE the fact that it completely skips over his recovery period after the attack and goes straight into Two-Face (which is also sort of true of Long Halloween) bc I think the agonizing depressing recovery is vital in making it clear that. Once again. The acid didn’t make him crazy. But the senseless excruciating pain and physical disfigurement that externalizes the part of him that people are scared of certainly would not have helped things.

So despairing vacation (DV) was a multi fandom roleplay group that was based on danganronpa. So basically a killing game rp. We ended our last iteration like two-ish weeks ago? Around that time with Despairing Vacation 4.
I joined in Despairing Vacation 1.5, which in the timeline it took place in between the first game and second lmao (though it took place after 2 happened in reality). I brought in Ahn because at the time my ass was obsessed with He is Psychometric and I love Ahn like a son. So naturally I chucked him in there and he got scars around his right wrist and more trauma than he had before the game started. I also uhhh fucked up his canon beyond recognition lol. (I’ll probably post his carrd here later—). Out of the three muses I have played in DV, he’s the only survivor. Because of this he can’t wear bracelets anymore lol. He still has his psychometric powers but it comes at a greater cost for him. He’s also the only kdrama character in despairing vacation lol.
For Sento…I was pretty obsessed with Kamen Rider Build and I related hard to Sento in terms of some of his underlying issues so I played him! I think originally I was going to play Gaon devil judge, Peter Stone law and order, Kiriya exaid, or taiga ex aid but I like Sento :). As to why he died: he was pulled for culprit so the people just scrambled to do smth and it was around the time that he returned to his original identity of Takumi. Sento (as Takumi) killed Shadow the Hedgehog by biting his neck off and as a result Sento (takumi) got executed. Sento basically had to pay for Takumi’s crimes (I’ll link his execution here lmao. Maybe). He a ghost now living in an Eyecon that takeru gave him lol. I miss him :(. I Also fucked up his canon by making the amnesia permanent. I’ll probably post the link to his execution. Maybe. Fun fact: I wrote it during the trial jfnsksnsjsnoasmks
As for Nitoh…I was still torn about who to bring; I think this time I was tempted to bring Gaon (again), Shen Wei, Tokatti toqger, Noel lupat…and then I said to Jason ( @/gameraramen) ‘hey wouldn’t it be funny if I brought in Nitoh wizard and tossed him in as victim?’ Because in Despairing Vacation he and Haruto are married and I thought ‘hey wouldn’t it be funny—‘. The decapitation was gale’s (@/galeforcewings (I think that’s gale’s tumblr)) idea because he wanted decap meanwhile the cannibalism was gonna be there because Jason’s character Chidori persona 3 has kamen rider Amazons’ lore in there. The only thing was that Nitoh’s housemate Mike ensemble stars was also picked to be victim so naturally it was a double murder and ah ha. Nitoh’s death was one of the darkest because you may not see it in the crime scene photo. But he doesn’t rlly have much of his body left + his head was on a serving plate. Tbh it was my only chance to be victim so I said ‘fuck it make it dark’ and at first we weren’t sure if the mods would let us (they came in and said ‘make it worse’). The chapter name in the murder server is called ‘women moments (gone wrong)’ because at the time Chidori was ‘dating’ Eve moonlit evilous and :miku: women moments.

Ranpo Headcanons
Fyodor hates blue cheese with a passion, like he wants to abolish it. He even made a petition for companies to stop selling it.
Fyodor doesn’t cut his nails often because, 1. He bites them. 2. He actually lets them grow out. On the occasions that he doesn’t bite his nails he grows them out, and they’re kept clean and look quite pretty. He doesn’t paint them because he finds it dumb.
Fyodor accidentally started a small war between two countries when he was 16 by hacking into a government officials email. LMAO he literally shat himself when he saw it on the news but also kinda boosted his ego.
Fyodor tried selling Ivan on the black market. He only got one bid and it was from Dazai.
Fyodor lost his ushanka (his hat) one time and stopped everything he was doing to find it. Like he searched for hours. He left it on his desk where he was currently working.
Fyodor is lactose intolerant but still eats dairy like it’s no one’s business. Like he can eat an absurd amount of it in a single sitting.
Fyodor hates socks. He doesn’t like the feeling of them so if he can he’ll be bare footed.
Fyodor has an extensive shower routine but he only showers every three days. LMAO don’t worry he usually just smells like despair and blood.
Fyodor couldn’t figure out how to open a bottle of champagne and instead broke the very top of it off and drank it straight from the bottle.
Fyodor likes the piano music but hates pianist because he can’t play it. How that works idk? Also cello is harder to learn than piano 💀
Fyodor hates bananas, for no reason, he just hates bananas
Fyodor likes butterflies, like he genuinely finds them so pretty and fascinating. He could stare at them for hours.

Genuinely had a breakdown inside of a 7/11 bathroom floor and almost had to re evaluate his entire life’s goals and ambitions. Got so drunk because he genuinely couldn’t stand it. He blacked out and ended up in Venezuela and ended up working for a shady business that sold perception glasses.

The Sandman rewatch - episode 7
So I like to do this thing where, if I didn’t consider a show a complete waste of time and if it does have an actual arc spanning the season, I watch the season twice–once as a binge watch and then once more episode by episode, because it helps me notice things I didn’t notice at first, especially in cases like this where I’m almost entirely unfamiliar with the source material.
Anyway, any and all chronological thoughts and ramblings about episode 6 of The Sandman beneath the cut, because spoilers.
Well, we’re starting this episode off on a lovely note. Rose’s dad can get fucked for all I care.
You know you’re messed up when the anthropomorphic personification of Despair tells you that you’ve gone too far.
Oh, so the whole business with Nada was Desire’s fault too? I guess there’s one in every family…
Rose has guts going straight from “sure, I’ll pay you” to “you’re not hiring by any chance, right?”
It’s nice to see Lucienne actually being wrong about something for a change. Also, I wanna know what’s residing in Abel’s basement. lol

Lyta and Rose’s banter about the annoyance of getting asked for ID or not XDDD. Relatable.
I remember watching this episode for the first time and being very impressed by the way they had handled setup and payoff in this show, and honestly, I still am. Quick story writing lesson: setup and payoff refers to introducing a plot point/item/character etc. early in a way that doesn’t disturb the plot and immediately scream “hey this is is important—remember this!” in spite of it becoming important later. If done right, the audience will go “oh wait, it’s plot point/item/character X from that earlier scene/episode!” when they get to the important part. This show is excellent with setup and payoff. So many things that may seem like filler/fluff actually make sense later. Good job, writers!
I love how Unity was so worried Rose would just be like “you’re crazy, I’m leaving”, yet the first thing Rose does when finding out that she’s got a great-grandma is hug her. ;_;
Omg the serial killer get-together! I love how this starts out like a totally normal conversation, then they mention the Corinthian and you might think “okay, maybe they’re talking about a different Corinthian or maybe he is like… a super famous chess player or something whenever he’s not murdering people”… and then she pulls out the picture of an eyeless murder victim and calls it exquisite and your brain just screeches to a halt like “what the fuck did I just walk into?”
And I just realize where I remember Rose’s friend Carl from—he was the doppelgänger on The Witcher!

Also, I adore Zelda and Chantal. Fun fact: there were exactly two sub culture groups for girls in my middle/high school (in Germany, we don’t separate those two)--you either went with the fake tan bitches, or the goth rock punks. The latter were infinitely more inclusive.
I genuinely do feel for both Rose and the foster care case worker in this scene. There’s only so much you’re allowed to do by law and it’s just an all around shitty situation for everyone.
That said, the moment she mentioned the money, I knew where this was going.
Gilbert is amazing. And so much of his demeanor makes sense once you know who he really is.
Oh great, the Corinthian has found his people. This cannot end badly for anyone, nope.
Rose just casually strolling into Dream’s throne room and you can tell from the look on his face that he’s going “aw damn, so much for her not being an active threat—I might actually really have to end up killing this girl”.
Yep, Jed’s foster father is a piece of shit. Now we know where those 800/month are going.

oh god rereading brawl's amazing petergwen meta and while 'pastel and primary morticia and gomez' took me the fuck out the first time, this just took me out:

like not only the 'countdown to doom which literally shapes the entire narrative thrust of the universe' of it all (which hELLO millian literally kickstarts all of OUAT). but also yeah, i've def headcanoned that it only makes sense that killian was looking for an emma to break the curse separating him from alice if he'd at first tried to jump around the multiverse trying to find his tl milah to break the curse. but every time he met her it was like he set her fate in motion and whether it was minutes, hours, days [or most painfully longer], he inevitably would watch her die and he eventually, after realising his existence's role in her fate - completely and even more thoroughly traumatised - gives up for the sake of the iterations of her still living, sinks into despair, and when he learns about storyhook's emma jumps at that sliver of a possibility.
(which again - hc that after the realms are united, all the magical bodies of water are linked, damned river souls can be revived, welcome back milah, and oh dip the loophole is that if the person already died then.....)
(which would make a very fun petergwen loophole to play with)
but even aside from the hc, big tick-tick-doom energy with millian
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE
the vigilanteism of it all, the jewel-tone morticia and gomez of it all, the fact that if you were gonna do a personality cognate btw milah and any of the spidey cast it would def be gwen - the drama, the ambition, the hair-trigger temper, the legendary stubbornness, the willingness to bite and kill anyone out for their person, again to reference brawl's meta -- millian is definitely bitch4bitch gOD

So this is inspired by the 2019 horror movie Ready or Not starring Samara Weaving. About this young woman marring into this rich family & after the ceremony, shehas to game of hide & seek with her new family. But things get bloody & twisted as it is an actual front for a heinous demonic ritual.
I'm really not one for horror but I adored this one. Also thought she had amazing chemistry with Adam Brody's bro in law character lol.
So naturally I felt this could be a good gallavich AU lol. But I'm thinking it's Fiona marrying into the Milkovich family but Idk who. So after the wedding the whole Gallagher clan is invited to the Milkoviches to play a game. Anyone who marrys into the family must play one game from a range of normal games but if they're unlucky enough to get hide & seek it become a slaughter hunt.
Ian & Mickey used to be exes who's relationship fell apart bc Ian felt like Mickey made him feel like his dirty little secret. In truth Mickey was trying to protect Ian from his family. Mickey didn't know that it was the Gallaghers as he is estranged from the Milkoviches but has to go for the ritual. Mickey is absolutely devastated & angry seeing Ian again. But the game must be played as they have to kill or be killed.
Mickey wants to try & get Ian & his family out alive but can he with a sicko for a father as Terry & would Ian even trust him. What about Mandy? No really if you watched the end of the movie & I follow that what the heck can I do about Mandy 😭
Thus, cue the melodrama, the emotional despair, the angst & death.
I hope this was coherent haha I tend to ramble & go on tangents. Also commas idk her sorry. 😭 My sister's biggest pet peeve of me is that I use commas sparsely lmao

as for the rebellion thing: Fair lol when it comes to it being closer to 6 foot and whatnot, I just thought it would be funny. especially since iirc Homulilly is slightly taller than Oktavia in that one rebellion scene. Maybe she can be like an inch taller, to annoy Sayaka forever /j
As for whether it would be Sayaka versus Oktavia... probably depends on your ruling a bit, as well as exactly where the line is, and whether the domestic witches timeline just went bad potentially at some point down the road for the kids to be a thing in the rebellion universe instead of things happening like PMMM canon.
Assuming relative PMMM canon but final timeline was something of a domestic witches timeline that didn't end as well, I think she would be... somewhere in between Sayaka and Oktavia. Closer than her rebellion self, but still more degree of separation. Partially because in PMMM canon, hilariously, witches seem to basically be kinda like shadows from Persona. which can lead to some interesting situations when a magical girl is at high corruption or sometimes just with little warning. A hilarious example being that Oriko's witch once basically went 'this is a fucking callout post that you're a moron' canonically.
more importantly than my random tangent is that it would probably mean, given how Nagisa seems to work in Rebellion and Magia Record, how what the Law of Cycles does to them is described as 'separating' them from their despair, and how Oktavia seems to work in this, is that imo she would be close to Oktavia. Would probably still have some issues even, and probably because she can remember being a full witch, but the part of her that's full on Oktavia is a bit further away. SO when that part of her is in a mood, Sayaka is still functional albeit probably moody, although the part of her that's Oktavia is hanging out in the back of her mind/labyrinth and blasting that one song you said she does. im terrible with this series' songs lol
And that is my random word vomit, sorry if this is a bit much lol
Yeah I guess combining domestic witches with Rebellion would defintely require a whole new set of rules, if not outright a brand new system lmao

So first thing first, I just HAD to make Kasumi the protag! Cause, ya know, Ultimate Private Investigator and murder mystery? Yeah :))
Broken Spirits!Kasumi is basically Kasumi in Danganronpa: Crime and Punishment (the name of my fangan). Very sweet and friendly, but has a strong sense of justice. The theme of this game (like how the first one was hope vs despair, v3 was truth vs lies, etc.) this one is justice vs mercy. Kasumi is a very lawful good person, and has high morals. She's a little self righteous cause of this, but she means well. Even if she can get a little naggy when people do little morally questionable things like telling white lies or stealing a pencil from someone. She's also still sleepy cause quirky gal <3
And our favorite antag
Cynical asshole!Daisuke Kurosaki makes his appearance! I changed his last name cause I had no idea it was just literally purple in Japanese, lmao. But anyways, he'll be our antag. But more Togami esc and being closed off and distant rather than straight up unhinged like Komaeda or Kokichi. But he doesn't really understand, or care much, for human life, cause....well, you know 50sod!Daisuke....he's--he's a criminal! The opposite end of Kasumi! (ofc they don't need to know that yet ;))
W-Who is this? Protag support? Eh, not important, next!
While I haven't gotten to making his report card yet, Haruto plays a big role in the story as well! He's still quiet and shy, but polite and fucking smart! He helps out alot in trials and investigations, and he slowly warms up to Kasumi as time goes on (but kinda latches onto her as well, since he's a bby boy and gets attached to nice ppl, abandonment issues)
W-Wait....what's happening? Certainly you aren't important either, right? Eh, wait....ultimate director? I can't....recall any sort of movie or tv show a Sachiko Rizuna made.....*shrugs*
Okay....she doesn't play a big role, but ig she does last a good while and fits a 'space case' character (Ibuki, Angie, Hiro, characters lots in their own world, etc). Akari is a big ball of energy that likes to make people smile, but has a childlike streak. She's kinda loud and doesn't take the killing game seriously, but she really just wants to make people laugh even when the situation is bleak
That's all my tired brain can write about atm, but I can def tell you more later when I have all the other characters more organized in my notes! These are just my favorite blorbos atm :)
I really like this cast so far! Can’t wait to see more!
Akari gives me either Chapter 3 victim or comic relief character that makes it to the end (like Hiro, Kazuichi or Himiko) type of vibes.
Also, I’m getting mastermind vibes from Sachiko. Both from her talent as a director and from the description you gave her.
