Character Intro: Gymnasia (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- Ma by her son
Nasia by the others
Ms. Stretch by Hermes
The Flexible Miss by the people of Olympius
Age- 48 (immortal)
Location- New Olympus, Olympius (The Royal Palace)
Personality- She's a highly active and optimistic goddess with a strong sense of self, confidence, self-discipline, focus, & motivation. She's currently dating.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess except shapeshifting. Being the goddess of excercise & gymnastics her other powers/abilities include elasticity, sweat manipulation (hidrokinesis), muscle manipulation (myokinesis), gymnastics mastery, adoptive muscle memory, telekinetically controlling excercise equipment, & being able to regulate her breathing, blood pressure, metabolism, and heartbeat.
Nasia is one member of The Horae, an esteemed group of goddesses that primarily preside over the natural portions of time. The Horae is also known for presiding over the revolutions of the heavenly constellations by which the year is measured. They're collectively known as "The Guardians of the Gates", being that their main "job"/responsibility is guarding and overseeing the gates of Mt. Olympus. The Horae also takes turns with leading the group of tourists through the palace when it serves as a museum sometimes. Even though Nasia is grateful & appreciative of her position in the pantheon as well as the opportunities presented to her, she doesn't completely disagree with the statement one goddess made about The Horae being "glorified PA's."
She has one child- a son Agon (god of sports & contests). They have a tight knit relationship and are equally overzealous when it comes to sports. Nasia looks forward to whenever he visits from Olympia. On Agon's most recent visit, they spent the day at Firebolt theme park- riding The Lightning Strike!
Nasia lives in her own suite apartment in the royal palace on Mt. Olympus with her own personal state-of-the-art gym that includes a sauna & heated olympic sized pool. The king even provided Nasia with her own handmaidens (assistants) who are mainly mortal women and oreads.
A go-to drink for her is the vanilla protein shake she makes every morning after her work out, often adding chia seeds & yogurt to it. She also likes aloe vera juice, coconut water, orange juice, cucumber & lime infused water, almond milk, Strengthify ionized water, as well as the occassional glass of white wine. Her usuals from The Roasted Bean is a large iced green tea and a medium decaf iced coffee.
Nasia's relationships with the other members of The Horae is fairly good. They all have their usual squabbles & disagreements, but there's also a deep sense of friendship. She sometimes finds herself closer to Nymphe (goddess of self-care), Anatole (goddess of sunrise), Mesembria (Bria) (goddess of the afternoon), and Arktos (goddess of the night sky & constellations).
She has an athletic fashion style. She doesn't mind dressing up when the occassion calls for it, but her closet is primarily filled with bomber jackets, leather jackets, stylish sneakers, cable knit tops, tees, tank tops, cashmere hoodies, form fitting leggings, sweatsuits, tracksuits, & jeans.
Nasia has currently taken on capoeira and hung gar martial arts lessons as new hobbies!
Her long black hair is almost always pulled away from her face by headbands, a low bun, or low ponytail. She loves using the Hairology 2-in-1 almond & shea butter shampoo/conditioner.
A favorite snack of hers are air fried sweet potato chips!
Aside from her main job/responsibility, Nasia has a few side businesses as well. For starters she's the most sought after sports doctor in all the realms! She's also the head coach for the premier gymnastics team in Olympius as well as being the owner of a sports team- the New Olympus Hippogriffs (basketball). For other work/means of income Nasia is also a contributing writer for Powerpulse (the god Hermes' fitness magazine) as well as endorsing/modeling for Strengthify, Momentum (the goddess Nike's sneaker brand), Vita! (the goddess Nike's athleisure brand), Olive Visibly, & Euryphaessa (the Titaness Theia's jewelry brand).
Her favorite thing to get from The Bread Box is the grilled chicken salad topped with extra ranch dressing.
She loves listening to energetic house music when working out.
Her all time favorite dessert is the peanut butter cake from Hollyhock's Bakery. She sometimes have to stop herself from buying an entire cake, instead settling on a slice for seven drachmas.
A favorite frozen treat for her is cherry sorbet!
Outiside The Horae, Nasia's really good friends with Paean (goddess of physicians). She's also friends with Eváeros (goddess of air & the zodiacs), Kéfi (goddess of mirth), Peitharchia (goddess of obedience & discipline), Enyo (goddess of war, destruction, bloodlust, & devastation), Aegle (goddess of good health), Palaestra (goddess of wrestling), Sophrosyne (goddess of moderation, temperance, & restraint), Hysminai (goddess of fighting & combat), Damia (goddess of naturalness), and Epione (goddess of soothing pain).
She currently thinking about signing up for the country's annual gyro competitive eating contest that happens during the Summer Solstice holiday.
Nasia's currently dating a professional body builder- a cyclops named Augustus. They first met briefly at a photoshoot for Powerpulse, but didn't have a real conversation until the most recent Olympic Tournament a few months ago. They're now "Fatestagram" official with plans for them to have dinner with Agon & his girlfriend.
At her most recent birthday, Kéfi gifted her a pair of designer sneakers that were decorated with emeralds!
A guilty pleasure for her are the 20 pc chicken nuggets from Olympic Chef with hot honey dipping sauces.
Paean gifted Nasia the black and gold jeweled basketball clutch from Diamond Ave. for Christmas.
In her free time she enjoys working out, jogging, bike riding, swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball, football (soccer), acupuncture, mountain climbing, going to the spa, gymnastics, archery, playing video games, fencing, weightlifting, baseball, and dancing.
Her all time favorite meal is a rice bowl she makes with white rice, grilled chicken, black beans, tofu, & spicy peanut sauce.
"If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you."

Things I absolutely loved in KH3
MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW!!!! {you’ve been warned}
Many (and I mean many) people who have completed the game have aired their grievances with the story, gameplay, etc. And honestly, for the most part, I share your heartbreak, disappointment, and general uneasiness. But today I wanted to focus on things I absolutely loved about the game instead of the moments that made me roll my eyes or upset me.
Sora - I love this boy. I love him so much and KH3 strengthened my love for him. I love how sassy he is. I love how even though he is still his happy-go-lucky self, he shows a range of emotions and has seemed to mature a bit. I also love that he doesn’t seem as dumb as he was in previous titles (especially DDD). He is so soft and kind and loving and strong and just... KH3 really solidified him as not only my favorite KH character but one of my favorite fictional characters of all time.
The Trio - Sora Donald and Goofy have always been my favorite trio in the series and I felt that this game had some of their best moments together. Like, I’m crying just thinking about how when Sora went off to fight Xehanort in Scala,  Donald and Goofy walk beside him without hesitation.
Having the Disney Characters in your Party - I know it was always an option, but you’d have to sacrifice Donald or Goofy’s spot. I loved being able to have the world characters in my party with my OG trio. It made me feel more connected to each world’s plot.
Fun. Genuinely Fun. - Playing this game is pure joy. Granted, during my first play through, I was rushing to get through the story and didn’t have time to explore the worlds. But I love the camera, lucky emblems, treasure chests, the mini games and all of the parts I’ve yet to explore. After completing the game (and crying my eyes out for a solid hour or so), my first thought was “oh boy, I can’t wait to go back and play the cooking mini game, find all the chests, collect the secret reports, and work on getting the trophies!” I had so much fun playing this game and can’t wait to start my proud mode play through so I can enjoy everything along the way without feeling rushed.
The music - it’s always the best part of every KH game but KH3 really knocked it out of the park and really made the emotional scenes that much better. I was so excited that Destati returned and the use of Friends in My Heart at the end. Also, I loved the Pirate’s music which was epic and (imho) was a better fit than the usual theme.
Dearly Beloved - I know I just mentioned music, but this deserved its own praise. This version fit this game perfectly. The moment it started playing on the title screen, I was overcome with emotion. It sounds like how playing KH3 feels like: exciting, fun, fresh, nostalgic, bittersweet.
Disney Writing and Character Interactions - Generally speaking, the interactions between the characters and the writing in the Disney worlds felt fresh and on point. I loved the interactions between the Trio, Rapunzel, and Eugene in Kingdom of Corona especially. Also, Mt. Olympus was fantastic as well but I may be biased due to my pure excitement about playing the game.
How beautiful everything looked - I don’t think I even have to explain this one. Just look at the game. Everything is so pretty and blows previous games out of the water. During the platform of awakening at the very beginning, I stared at the stained glass for a solid 5 minutes before doing anything else because I was just blown away by how amazing it looked.
Sora saving Aqua - queue tears
Playing as Aqua against Vanitas - This just felt right and I was very excited to play as Aqua again.
Every time Sora shoved his keyblade between and enemy and a friend - He did it between Aqua and Riku. He did it between Axel and Xion. And both times my heart exploded. He may have done this another time, but these moments stuck out to me.
Sora comforting Xion - Um, I broke here completely and was not expecting to. Like, I love Xion and was excited for the SeaSalt Trio’s reunion, but Sora’s words and tone and the fact that he was crying just destroyed me completely. Honestly, it’s my favorite scene in the game. I really love Sora.
Roxas’ return - Props to Jesse McCartney for having two distinctive voices for Roxas and Ven. When Ven returned I was happy and I shed a few tears. But when I heard Roxas’ voice, without even seeing his face, I started sobbing because I missed him so much and was so happy that he was finally there and sassy as ever.
The reunions- I loved the hugging and the crying for Axel, Roxas, and Xion as well as Terra, Aqua, and Ven. It made me feel overcome with relief. Like finally let these people be happy.
Sora talking to Namine in the Last World - it’s a shame that this scene doesn’t appear in Theater Mode once you finish the game because it’s cute and sad and ties up some loose ends between the two characters.
Everyone interacting together on the Play Island and having fun at the end - It’s everything I ever wanted from KH3. All the groups interacting and having fun like they deserve! Let’s just forget the last 5 or so seconds...

Postcards from Snagglepuss: Two Interesting Museums to Tampa
Still working our way along the Tamiami Trail, alias US 41, Crazy Claws and I, in service to the cause of Wisconsin Dells down Florida way ... and last time, we were parked close to the beach in Punta Gorda, front seats structured to become beds and sun roof pulled open to get some of those wonderful gulf breezes. Which may have stoked our appetites to such extent that we didn't quite realise it was morning until the dawn came along shrouded in fog. By which time it was more like 7:45. So what made us doze off all that well?
And doze off so well, in fact, we felt compelled to find ourselves a decent little breakfast place in Punta Gorda by "asking the locals" to point us in the direction of a decent such, no fast food nor anything in the vein of Denny's. Which we were able to find in a shabby corner of downtown near the beach--and boy, were the portions generous, the offerings tasty and even the coffee managed to turn out rather well. So well, in fact, we were able to get some to fill our travel mugs before heading back on the way with advice that, as we were heading towards Tampa, it might not be a bad idea to kill time at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum ... and, once we got to St. Petersburg, at the Dali Museum. As she put it, "Busch Gardens is just as campy as the Orlando Theme Parks, if you ask me."
"As a matter of fact," I added, "we have plans on going to Weeki Wachee as well."
"WEEKI WACHEE?!!" the waitress incredulously thundered. Only to pace herself and remark, "Oh, those mermaids--I once set my heart on trying for that company when I was a little girl back somewheres in Alabama, only I couldn't master a real serious deep dive as is part of the act. So I wound my way down to Punta Gorda and work in this fleabag of a joint ... uh, one more thing--"
"And that is--?"
"When you get to Weeki Wachee, tell the mermaids that Janine from down Punta Gorda way says hi."
"And I certainly will," Crazy Claws replied. "But then again, I don't think Tommy Bartlett would've done well with an underwater show in the artificial waters of Lake Delton, let alone the waterski show. Which, from what I heard, got inspired by the Cypress Gardens such--only now, Cypress Gardens has become LEGOLAND Florida."
"But not before inspiring the Wally Gator title sequence," I added.
"True, true," Crazy Claws shot back. "And I'd take Noah's Ark over Mt. Olympus back in the Dells; the latter's too arrogant, and besides, Noah's wavepools are just this cat's style. Big Kahuna especially."
Which gave the waitress such a laugh as we went on our way ... and I admit that, as we were driving up 41 towards Sarasota, that the laughs couldn't have been as incredible. Still, we had to find our way to the Sarasota Classic Car Museum, which evolved from the old Bellm's Antique Cars and Music of Yesteryear from back in my time on the box ... and though it may have been rather cheesy-looking, I have to admit that such automotive history on display can get to be impressive. Even if we couldn't find any of the Wacky Racers vehicles on display, including Dick Dastardly's 00 or, for that matter, Penelope Pitstop's Compact Pussycat. Or even the Original Banana Buggies of The Banana Splits, though rumour had it that they were in some museum somewhere near Wall Drug devoted to classic film and television autos; on the other hand, you couldn't help but miss John Lennon's psyched-up Rolls Royce ... or even the Mini Cooper of Paul McCartney ... or even the Rolls-Royces of the Ringling circus family, not to mention a Pierce-Arrow as belonged to the Ringling family (after all, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus moved their winter quarters from Baraboo to Sarasota in 1917, as Crazy Claws was quick to point out).
Admittedly, it was still morning, but getting closer to noon as were finishing up our time in Sarasota--but then again, it was getting to be time to do another round of brochure passouts in Beautiful Downtown Sarasota, where the very connexion of the Ringlings to the Dells area was brought up somewhat. As well as pick up a fresh load of brochures for passing out, alerted by a text message ... howbeit at a dodgy Pack-n-Ship-type shop near the dog track, as it turned out. Still, we were able to find our way back to the Tamiami Trail, which wasn't exactly identified as such as we approached the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on I-275 over Tampa Bay. And looking out over Tampa besides, come to think of it; the sight impressive stunning both of us!!
And so we head over into St. Petersburg to our next destination: The Dali Museum. As in Salvador Dali, whose works, I have to admit, are something of a secret passion of mine. Not to mention his somewhat whimsical eccentricity about the world and the universe, as in those melting watches in several of his paintings. Still, you have one particular highlight as would rival the collections on display: That DNA Staircase as extends in a spiral from the cafe area to the Third Level ... and the view of Tampa Bay thus afforded!! What a monument to such eclectic whimsy ... even in the cafe at the base of the stairs, partaking of Spanish tapas and coffee. Which turned out rather well, even if the Serrano ham was somewhat new to me.
Heading out into the Dali's courtyard ... a cool breeze was coming in off Tampa Bay, and we couldn't help but take stock of what exactly was being accomplished. Or close to it; we got a call on my mobile indicating that our efforts were getting modest payoff. Including several as came about thanks to our presence at the Mallory Square Sunset Ceremony in Key West just days before. At least one such enquiry acknowledged that Crazy Claws' humourous repartee won her over. Not to mention a certain Mr. Peebles, perennially peeved about a certain Magilla Gorilla being sold--only to come back within a day or two when customers just couldn't deal with a gorilla for a housepet, as walked our way in the courtyard for a few moments to chat and discuss what was going on with us. And recognising that Wisconsin Dells was where Crazy Claws came from, he was quick to bring up some rather lively details about when Magilla G. came to the Waterpark Capital late in the summer season, munching away on sliders from Monk's Bar and setting something of a record in that regard. Just be thankful that the tourist crowds weren't looking at him rather dumb like, as if he was something of a center of unwelcome attention.
Prompting Peebles to be stunned into learning that Magilla was starting to become fond of sliders after all this time with bananas ("And to just imagine how Magilla could subsist all this time amazes me ...") ... as well as an offer to kill some time that evening at the dog track, hoping to sample some greyhound racing under the lights. Which, as it turned out, ended a bit moestly, winning $25 on an exacta in the sixth race on what Peebles thought was a sure thing--or so he was told at a local hangout for the winter crowd As for the Super Six Pool towards the end of the race, requiring your having to pick six winners running--not much luck there, even if it was worth the hype.
As for the night ... we have ourselves a decent steak dinner thanks to Peebles, and decide to park out close to St. Pete Beach, sleeping in the car. Or attempting to, at any rate, what with police there being rather heavy of late (or so it was heard) because of some bad drug deals....
