Marvel Rare Pairs Bingo Spring Fling Mini-Event
Hey Everyone! It's that time of year again for us to begin our Spring Fling Mini Event. For information see the posts below under the cut:
Event Rules
Please no character/ship bashing! Also, no kink shaming on other’s work! This is a place where we encourage people to feel safe in their creativity. If you don’t like something someone creates then try to follow the rule “Don’t Like, Don’t Read/Comment/Etc”. We want this to be a friendly zone for everyone to feel included so please keep that in mind. We want you to create and explore, but be sure to be mindful of your other Marvel loving fans because we want everyone to have a good time!
While we understand that everyone has their own thing that inspires them, we ask that your fills do not contain incest, underage (under 18), rape/non-con or any bestiality themes. If you have any questions about this rule, please feel free to contact us so we can clear up anything for you.
Any fan works that you have made are allowed to be in this event. This Bingo is not just limited to writing and drawing, so if you have something else that inspires you, let your mind roam free and create!
When making a fill be sure to label it accordingly. Warnings are important to readers so if you think you might need one please include it!
In this bingo event we want everyone to have fun, but for safety purposes we want this event to be for those 18+. We encourage authors and artists of all ages to keep creating, but for this event we’d like to keep it adults only. Thank you so much for respecting that and we appreciate your interest moving forward! We are operating on an honor system as we can’t check everyone’s age, so please be respectful in moving forward in signing up.
Spring Fling Bingo and Badges
Welcome to the Spring Fling mini event. This event will run through the months of March, April, and May. We intend for it to be a fun, low pressure event where members will be able to use any of the prompts to replace squares on your current card if you would like to do so. Or you can simply do them as an added bonus if you're not actively participating in the bingo or just want to do something beyond your card. The choice is yours! For this event, we have cards that are exclusively NSFW and those that are SFW. You can pick either one, but know that if you pick a SFW card you can fill the prompt with a NSFW story. If you pick a NSFW card, you can also do a SFW fill (although some prompts might be a little challenging in that). It's up to you what you come up with. We want to see how creative you can be so for this event with the cards you can choose from one of the pre-made cards listed below and have fun creating. You can pick ANY of the cards below that inspire you to gain a special Spring Fling badge at the end of the event. As mentioned before you can use any of these prompts on the card you pick to replace any of your current squares if you'd like or if you simply want to do the prompts for the event itself that's okay too. Because these cards are a little different than the normal cards, to get a bingo and be eligible for a bingo/coverall badge, you have to complete the five square prompts. That's it for this one as it is a smaller card meant to be a fun little add on. Anyone who does 1 fill can get a badge of participation.
Also as an added bonus this round if you manage to use all the prompts in one story you can get a special Spring Fever badge as well for completing the bingo in one story, but to do so the story must have a minimum of 1000 words and you can still use the fills here to replace your regular bingo squares if you wish to do so. For those only taking part in this mini-event and not the bingo you can still get badges for this event!
Fills
When you are making fills for the event please be sure to add share them in the special-event-fills channel with others. When making posts on Tumblr be sure to @ us at @marvelrarepairbingo so we can reblog your posts there too. Fills have to be a minimum of 200 words if written and there are no restrictions on art size as we'll let artists use their discretion on it. We invite you to include your works in the Round Two AO3 collection up at mrp_bingo_2023 as well for those who would like to post their works to the event collection in place of other card squares or even as add ons since it is still part of this Round Two we have going on. Just make a note that it's for the Spring Fling Event and which card and prompts you've used. If you have any further questions about the event don't be afraid to reach out and ask us in the ask-a-mod section or to DM @BeachWitchAunTeigh or myself as we're always here to help! Sinthea went out to buy some things when she was on her way back home. She found a small dog trembling and scared. Without hesitation, she took it and decided to take it with her.
When she arrived home, she left the dog in the room she shared with Brock and went to take a shower without imagining the big problem that would begin in the next few minutes and would last several weeks.
As soon as Brock opened his eyes, he looked for Sin with his eyes; however, the first thing he found was the little dog. Brock raised his eyebrows in confusion; he did not remember that they had one.
The dog turned to see him as soon as he noticed the movement. He tried to get closer but stopped when he noticed Brock staring at him.
“Why is there a rat in my room?" Brock mumbled, and that's when the little dog came closer to bite him.
“Leave it alone!" Sin yelled at him, pulling the puppy away from him.
“That rat attacked me," Brock defended himself.
“Sin left the room along with the dog, though Brock could be sure the dog was taunting him.
“He's a rat," Brock muttered, knowing she wouldn't hear him.
As the days went by, the fights between the dog Duke and Brock increased; it seemed that both wanted to have all of Sinthea's attention.
But the fight got bigger the day Brock was going to prepare himself some delicious and juicy steaks. Sin was on a mission.
Brock took out of the refrigerator the steaks he had been marinating for several days, finished seasoning and cooking them, and left them for a moment on the kitchen counter.
When he returned, the only thing he found was a trail that led him directly to the culprit. This fact was the straw that broke the camel's back. The fights started to become more frequent, but Sinthea always came to save Duke.
The next time she went on a mission, something different happened. While Brock was chasing Duke "after he had stolen and destroyed one of his favorite boots" to take his right boot, Duke crashed into a piece of furniture, and Sinthea's favorite vase fell, shattering into pieces.
Hearing the crash, Duke stopped and turned to see the chaos he had caused. Brock was standing there, pale, if Sinthea noticed...
Duke let go of the boot; they both knew they were in trouble. Brock quickly left the house; he had to get another vase any way he could. After scouring about ten stores, he found one exactly like it, so he bought it.
“I'm not doing it for you, rat; I'm doing it for me. I know you'll say I broke it to frame you, when we both know it was an accident, so nothing happened," Brock said when he returned and showed the replacement vase to Duke.
Duke only wagged his tail; a few hours later, he approached Brock and left two cookies nearby. Brock interpreted that gesture as a peace offering and slowly raised his hand and reached out to pet his head.
Sinthea arrived just to see Brock pet him.
“Wow, you're already friends," she commented.
“We understood that we have to live together, so I won't try to kick him out anymore, and Duke will leave my stuff alone," Brock said.

“Spill it out, Sam,” Natasha suggested. “I know you want to say something.”
Sam stopped working and backed off, finding Natasha’s fond look locked on him. [...] “You haven’t replied to my texts. Well, you know that much, but I thought you were ghosting me. And now you are—”
“Bleeding on your kitchen table?” she stopped him, looking at some drops that had just fallen onto the counter.
“Oh shoot!” Sam quickly picked up a cloth he used to swap off the liquid from the surface while with the other one he pressed a gauze to Natasha’s forehead, aiming to stop the bleeding.
“I’m sorry,” she said, taking his hand to guide him in the right direction on her wound while Sam focused on the mess of his table.
“Don’t worry. It’s nothing some chemicals can’t fix, I’ll take care of it tomorrow,” Sam decided. “And since you brought up the elephant in the room and I’ve already shared the issue, it’s fine. Explain it to me only if you want.”
Natasha fell in silence until Sam was back on his seat and the wound gave them a break. “My boss was killed at the beginning of the week,” she explained.

The Valentine’s Viking
At Jen's Galentine's party, Bruce has a close encounter with a Viking stripper.

Warnings: Characters drinking alcohol, fainting
‘Cocktail,’ Jen announces, and a cold glass is pressed into Bruce’s hand. ‘Drink up, it’s good for you.’
Bruce swirls the pink liquid experimentally. Ice cubes and strawberry slices swirl with it. ‘If you’re planning to drown your sorrows, this won’t get you far.’
‘Oh, we’ll get there.’ She winks, and practically skips back over to the kitchen area. Jen’s living room is bedecked with paper hearts, confetti and pink balloons; she does nothing by halves, and this hastily-planned Galentine’s party is no exception.
On the couch beside him, Helen studies her drink. For once she’s foregone the lab coat in favour of a sequinned black dress, and her hair falls loose and glossy about her shoulders. ‘Is this a mojito?’
‘It’s a strawberry mojito.’ Nikki throws herself down on Bruce’s other side. ‘It’s Galentine’s, it’s gotta be pink!’
‘I see.’ Helen, cautiously picks out a strawberry piece and pops it in her mouth. She usually avoids social gatherings, but when Jen had extended the invitation to Bruce’s “work bestie”, she’d been flattered into agreeing. Bruce has a sneaking suspicion his cousin is trying to play wingman.
‘Okay.’ Jen paces opposite them. ‘We all know why we’re here: Valentine’s Day is stupid and we’re all single, so we’re gonna get drunk and watch movies.’
‘Hell yeah.’ Nikki raises her glass.
‘Bruce is an honorary gal, because he’s also lonely and miserable.’
‘I’m not miserable,’ Bruce protests. ‘Or lonely.’
Nikki pats him on the shoulder. ‘It’s okay Bruce, you’re among friends.’

Blinking, he stared across the counter at a man who appeared to be in somewhere in his forties, if the few pristine white hairs tinseled through his goatee and dark brown hair had anything to say about it. Stephen tucked his phone into his pocket while he just stared, his first thought being that this guy – unless he was the manager – looked entirely out of place in a job meant for teens and early 20-somethings trying to save up for a car or groceries or a trip home for the holidays after their semesters were over for the winter holiday.

Jemma Simmons at first thought she didn't have an exciting life; however, after a few missions, she changed her mind, not to mention the countless dangers she faces sometimes. But the weirdest thing that happened to her was when she had to go on a mission with the STRIKE team, not to mention that she was under Brock's protection.
After that mission, something that seemed completely implausible happened: Brock started visiting her until he asked her on a date, and even more unusually, Jemma fell in love with him.
However, everything changed one day when Jemma discovered something shocking. During a mission where they were investigating a secret Hydra base, Jemma noticed strange behavior in Brock. At first, she thought it was just her imagination, but when she found evidence that Brock was a Skrull, her world fell apart. However, the Skrull never realized that Jemma had discovered it.
Jemma was devastated. Not only had she lost trust in him, but now she also felt vulnerable and distrustful of all other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. She didn't know who else could be a Skrull infiltrator, and that had her constantly on alert, not to mention that she didn't know if the real Brock was involved or not, nor had she obtained any information about the real Brock's information.
He tried to keep his discovery a secret while he investigated more about the Skrulls and their presence in S.H.I.E.L.D. He discovered that there was another agent who was also a Skrull but could not reveal his identity without hard evidence. Meanwhile, Jemma was forced to work alongside Brock, pretending she didn't know the truth and that the supposed relationship they had remained the same; she needed to have proof to unmask what was going on.
As time went on, Jemma realized that her love for Brock was just an illusion. She couldn't trust him anymore, and that gap in their relationship became insurmountable. Although they continued to work together, the love she once felt faded completely.
Finally, Jemma found the evidence she needed to expose the other Skrull agent. She presented the evidence to Nick Fury and Steve Rogers, and together they planned an operation to unmask the infiltrator and protect the organization from future threats.
The mission was a success; all the Skrulls were captured and taken into custody. Jemma could finally breathe a sigh of relief, but she also realized that she could never fully trust her teammates again.
Despite everything, Jemma pressed on. She continued to work for S.H.I.E.L.D., facing dangers and uncovering hidden secrets.
Two months later, Jemma was walking through the corridors of S.H.I.E.L.D. when she saw Brock. For a moment, everything they experienced flashed through her mind. Maybe... perhaps...
“Where have you been?" Jemma asked him. Brock turned around, raising an eyebrow. He didn't understand why that woman was talking to him.
“And why do you care where I've been? If you need any information, you can address it to my superiors," Brock answered haughtily.
Jemma smiled a little and shook her head. It seemed that this was the real Brock, and everything that happened weeks ago had been a simple illusion, something that only she would know happened and that she wouldn't tell anyone.

“You would love Malibu,” Harley sighs into Peter’s shoulder, legs dangling off of the top of their apartment building in Boston. It is sunny out for once and despite living in the penthouse, thanks to his dad’s expense, Harley can’t help but want to always feel higher, luckily Peter shares the same sentiment.
Peter lays back in the sun, basking in the warm glaze it gives on a Friday afternoon, the semester almost over with only two more exams to go between them. Harley’s final is in Unified Engineering: Thermodynamics and Propulsion, a bore of a class to be in when your whole life you’ve been working out the aerodynamics of a potato gun and Peter’s is in Just Code: The Ethical Lifecycle of Machine Learning, the last subject in his political science major before being able to focus solely on his chemical engineering course.
They are both smiling, happy to just be and sit. “You would soak up the sun like a cat, and you could watch me surf down at the beach while you try to focus on the book you’re reading,” Harley tells Peter, coming up with the best and snarkiest reasons he can think of for why his boyfriend would love Malibu.
If they weren’t sitting on the edge of a building Peter would have hit Harley for the surfing comment, but they are and so he doesn’t. He does have to admit that Harley often makes it hard for him to concentrate on things, but Harley is his boyfriend if Peter wishes to watch and preen he has all the right to.
The will set soon and so Harkye just keeps rattling off reasons before it does, “And you would love dad’s lab, and I have my own small section but I was too young when we lived there permanently to have my own like in New York.” He smiles thinking of both homes, the move to New York, meeting Peter because of the move, and all the other great things New York has offered, “there’s the boardwalk we could go to and ride all the rides, go shopping, just enjoy each others company in a king size bed.” For that Peter does really hit Harley, once he knows it is safe, and Halrey is prepared for it.
Moving further into the roof so they aren’t as dangerously dangling off from it Peter sighs, “Too bad we are stuck here for summer break,” he shrugs off the possibility of going to Malibu rather happy just to soak up the small amount of sun Boston will give them this summer. They should really be focusing on the upcoming exams they have but Peter just couldn’t resist the slither of sun.
“We don’t have to,” Harley takes Peter’s hand maneuvering him to fit into his lap, leaning back onto his chest, “I’m sure Dad wouldn’t mind us crashing, he, Steve and Morgan are all staying at the lakehouse permanently, nobody uses it but I know it’s clean and available.” Harley had already asked his dad about the possibility and while Tony was suspicious Steve thought it was a great idea, letting it slip that it is always prepared for visitors.
Peter smiles at the idea, that it actually might be feasible before he comes back to the reality of Peter Parker, not Harley Stark. Frowning thinking about the bill and the cost, Peter shakes his head in Harley’s chest “There is no way I can afford the flights Harls.” He sighs not moving to face Harley, because he really feels quite bad about ruining the fun of the summer and all the imaginary plans created in their heads.
Harley just laughs, holding on to Peter and kissing his cheek, “But I do, I mean well, Dad does and I know he would love to spend it on you, I would love to spend it on you.” They really care about each other and Harley appreciates Peter’s absence of using Stark money, but Harley doesn’t care, not when it comes to Peter.
“It is all worth it if it makes you smile,” Harley says, turning Peter to face him once again, leaning, matching their foreheads together, “I love you,” he finishes.
And Peter just smiles thinking of all the possibilities, the life ahead of them, the world for them to conquer as they sit up on the highest building, above everyone and everything. They love each other and the summer sun will be nice and they can watch the sunset and sunrises, bright and beautiful, sunshine. Harley makes Peter happy, and he’s in love.
“I know.”
