More Than Our Scars - Florence Italy

Series Masterlist

It's been a while since I wrote for these two. They're my favorite couple. Murder Boyfriend & his Brave Girl. 💕

The culinary course that Billy enrolled you in is so challenging yet so rewarding. This was your dream and the amazing thing is now you have Billy by your side to share the experience. You thought champions & heroes only belonged in fairytales and comic books, but you found one of your very own. Not only did he save you from The Kingpin, but he also taught you how to love again. He built up your confidence and made you believe in your dreams. He adores you, his brave girl.

Billy found the most charming apartment with views of the Duomo, the 3rd largest church in the world. It's not a luxury apartment like his loft back in Manhattan. It's charming & quaint & old world. Turning into the courtyard, it's a 3 story walk-up that you don't mind at all. Letting yourself into your home, you dump your keys on the entry table. Hanging up your jacket, you make your way to the kitchen, to place your bag on the counter & go in search of Billy. "Billy? I'm home."

"Hey, babe!" Dressed casually in a dark green sweater & jeans, Billy walks out of the room he set up as his remote office. He envelopes you in his arms & drops a kiss on your lips. "How was your day?"

"Good!" Squeezing him around the waist, "better now that i'm home.

Billy walks you backwards to the kitchen, stopping by the bags, "What have you brought me to eat?" Letting you go, he rummages through the bag. Whatever you learned to cook that day, you brought home for Billy's lunch for the following day. He always looks forward to it.

"Cacio e pepe."

"Nice! Thank you." Cracking the lid of the container, he smells it & puts it in the fridge. "That's going to be good." Turning back around to you, "What do you want to do tonight? Want to wander?"

"Sure! Let me get changed." To change into something warmer. March evenings are still chilly in Florence. Matching Billy with a sweater & jeans, you apply some lip gloss & re-braid your hair, you're ready to go.

"All set?" You excitedly nod. Bill helps you on with you jacket & you leave to go exploring. Hand in hand, you make your way out to the cobblestone path. You've visit marketplaces in the neighborhood, grabbing fresh produce, bread, cheese...and an abundance of wine. It's such a great feeling to be out in public. You were kept prisoner by Kingpin for 3 years and spent months in hiding with Billy while he plotted your freedom. You had a small taste of freedom when you and Billy spent a couple days in Beacon, NY after James Wesley's murder. But this. This was amazing! Now you're in Florence strolling through markets, fingers entwined with Billy's, living the life you only dreamed of.

The sky starts to darken on your way back home, as you pass Osteria del Flore, Billy's new favorite restaurant. "Do you want to stop for dinner?"

"Bill, we just bought a bunch of groceries"

Wrapping his arm around your shoulders & leaning down to press kisses into your neck, "But you've been cooking all day. Do you really want to cook again?" Billy already starts steering your towards their doorway, even before you can get an answer out.

"Signore Russo. Signora. Bentornato (welcome back)." The hostess greets you upon arrival & leads you to a table. The food has been incredible since you got to Italy. Billy jokes about the weight you guys will be gaining. It's almost sacrilege to have anything but wine while in Italy, but the beer selection here is excellent. Bill is so American. So New York. He wants his steak & a beer. You can't help but give him a besotted smile. You like seeing him so relaxed and happy. You both suffered so much, you deserved this blissfulness.

Full bellied & a little tipsy, Bill's arm is thrown around your shoulders. Your fingers intertwined with his. Leaning into his side, you make your way back home. "Once your classes end & we return stateside, what do you want to do?

"What do you mean? I'll look for a job. I can't keep mooching off you."

"Shut up!" Curling his arm, bringing you closer so he can kiss the top of your head. "Where do you want to work?"

"I haven't thought that far yet. I'm concentrating on doing well here." Mulling it over, "I guess it depends on whoever hires me, that's where I'll go," you shrug.

"I'll make sure you have a driver available to take you to & from work."

"What?! I can get myself to & from work."

"Remember the last time you walked home from work?? You're getting a driver." The last time you walked home, Kingpin's men snatched you off the streets.

You whisper a soft, "thank you."

"What about private chef?"

"Those are long hours. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner? I'll never see you." You hear a low growl, which makes you smile.

"Or maybe I can buy you a restaurant."

"Are you crazy? No, Bill." You stop in the middle of the sidewalk, letting go of Bill's hand. "I'm serious."

Bill laughs, hitching the tote full of wine & groceries over his shoulder. "You can be your own boss. Make your own hours. Have plenty of time to spend with me." He tugs your braid, wrapping it around his fist, pulling you closer to him, to capture your mouth in a kiss. He only stop when he hears a soft whine escape you. "Don't you like the sound of that, sweetheart?"

Burying your face at the base of his throat, inhaling the smell of him, "I know nothing of running my own business. I'm still learning to be a chef."

Wrapping you in his arms and swaying with you in the moonlight, he dances you into the courtyard. The unevenness of the cobblestones makes you clumsy, but Billy doesn't let you fall or falter. "One day when you're ready, I'll help make it happen."

Laughing, "You spoil me."

"Anything for you, my brave girl."

I know the concept of time can be played with and doesn't have to make a lot of sense in a show like OFMD, but I think it's interesting that they took the time to change Izzy's scar between episodes. It's especially noticeable between episode 5 where it's still very red

And episoed 6 where it's already so pink it's almost invisible

This would seem to indicate that between episode 5 and 6 some days have passed, at the very least. So between "can we take it slow" and them actually having sex there was some amount of time, it didn't happen in the span of 24 hours as some people have been saying...

Maybe! But I do have other avenues if I want them :)#It's nice to have options!#For the time being they're just cute little guys of one of my cute little guys! :D In her doggy form and specifically her plush puppy form ♪#I really have been enjoying adding to her physical accessories haha - she's always got her little gold stitch/scar #And then her first accessory being the bracelet - and then her face mask - and now her ribbon! :D It's all very cute she's very cute #She's also good feral practice since I'm still not very good at drawing dogs or cats or the like :'D #I used references for that first one! Wowie!#I'm a fan of how she turned out overall :) I can still see some work I'd like to improve for her back legs but other than that :D #Baring her little teefsies hehe she's so scary ♥#My love of drawing plushies rears its head again - she is added to the list! still losing my mind at the way houses relationship with john would have fucked up the way he sees being an omega. just,,, teen house, young and confused, experiencing these absoloutely brutal heats. not understanding why they are so bad and hard when theyre supposed to be a time where an omega feels good. already feeling broken and wrong, and then having to face john's anger and disappointment over him being an omega

like i can only imagine how it would affect him in heat, a time where he would be less able to think coherently. and constantly remembering how traumatic and horrible his heats as a teen were, the memory making him feel bad and in turn making him feel physically worse. just like,,, a constant feedback loop of remembering and feeling bad -> feeling physically worse in turn -> reminding himself even more of his childhood and feeling worse

i feel like after having to deal with his first few heats without a strong family net to acclimate to the changes, once house is outta there and doing his own thing he tries to never deal with his heats alone. he marks his cycle religiously, makes deals with alphas in med school to help him through them, or even finds street suppressants if he's especially desperate.

man. you just know john has put him outside for some of his heats, too. nothing to nest with, no scent blocking patches, just left him in the yard like a sacrificial lamb. it goes without saying how dangerous that is.

hell, once he's employed i wouldn't be surprised if he stole something from the hospital to bring home in case a heat comes up that he can't deal with, something that'll knock him out for the worst of it.

THAT'S what can get feelings hurt #it makes him feel bad but he tries to reassure himself by comparing their heats to house's. they don't understand how bad it is #<- probably the cause of several arguments #wilson trying to get bonnie or julie to understand why he Needs to do this and bristling when they Just Don't Get It #“house didn't break up our marriage but he sure didn't help” etc #mgv

2025 huh🥹

back when d-day was released and i listened to amygdala for the first time, i decided to take my writing in a different direction and tell a story that really mattered to me.

with the tour over and yoongi’s enlistment confirmed, itll be me writing that story endlessly so that when he comes back in 2025, i can also come back with something meaningful💖

Ooh, Ericca! That's easy, More Than Our Scars!

I bit off more than I could chew, it being only my 2nd story to write at the time I started. I had to figure out how to create and heal 2 broken souls and build them stronger, together. ❤ That was my first challenge. Then I now I've got to come up with a believable ending/showdown with The Kingpin. And I've invested so much time already, I don't want to give it a half-ass ending.

It's all a learning experience. Future series won't be so complicated or if they are...i'll plan it out before writing it. Haha. Thank you for such a good question! 😘

Day 1: Moon So as you can see I went a bit off base. It's now more of as solar system au, Virgil is the moon, Roman is the sun, and Janus is supposed to be a gas giant planet. (he looks like the sky but is a gas giant promise) Face close-ups are under the read more! @anaroceitweek

But #Virgil is obviously based around our moon but is also based around the moon Charon(pluto's moon)#Charon is actually bigger than Pluto fun fact! But He's not #Virgil actually has circular scars on him like craters!#and all his jewelry is pearls because i think they're gorgeous and they come in a variety of colors and shapes. most pearls aren't circular #like how most moons are just asteriods that got stuck in orbit #virgils crown is a kokoshnik! because i love them #now roman is actually a red giant star! that means he's fairly old for a star but hush hush #red giant stars are actually really interesting they're density and gravity is dense but they're on the colder end of stars #anyways romans corset and gemstone is loosely based on fire opals #however with how i did it it looks more like garnet or ruby with gold impurities.#the crown he has is called a halo crown #like a halo of light <3 #the corset is based off of the corsets that candy makeup artist makes cause they're so PRETTY #he has sun spots but they're not very noticeable #And FINALLY TIME FOR JANUS #okay sO! janus is mainly based around jupiter my beautiful Wife the prettiest planet out there #also that post that roles around in my brain like a pearl where it compared some of the juno satellite photos to starry night by van gogh #so his design is based off of those #the tiara is based around the lover's knot tiara #the gemstone is the tiger's blue agate #also the hexagon motif is because both jupiter and saturn have hexagonical storms!#i also tried to make the storms the pattern where his scar would be! i really like his honestly.

Micah comparing their wounds and scars to the moon's craters... They used to have so much body insecurities because of the injuries they received, and it's a lot more frustrating when they couldn't remember any of the ones they got in the points of their life before they became a teenager, but after learning about the lunar craters and they found that they have a special connection with the outer space, they would see themself in the moon with their wounds and scars being like the lunar craters, and since then, they have been in most ease with their body, thinking that they can still be beautiful as the moon itself, even with all of the injuries that they get from life. Truly, Micah would think the moon and the stars would admire them just as much as they admire them for existing with so much light and love in themself despite the scars and traumas of them that they have no choice but hold for the rest of their life.

Most of it was done before work this morning. Started working on new TKB 2nd chance chapter. Still waiting for a day to go through the chapter that needs a read-through for any possible edits.

Brain is being mean. I thought 'A Soul's Reality' was going to be the title to TKB 2nd chance, but that Papa Roach lyric (along with the whole song), feels more in-line with the basic idea of the fic (from multiple PoV's).

Titania/Hardy/Randomus/Aya and Sapphira directly seeing him with the team #they should have mentioned st about Fern. like ''being regretful about his choices'' or just..the guy seem different than before #like. MC gone for few months after the champion fights. so sure. of course. we would be confused at Fern's development #but that means other characters must have seen how he changed? like. maybe just slightly #so like. someone like Adrienn could mention that ''hey. that kid Fern also help out. florinia did tell me about the whole Victory stuffs-#as long as he continue to assist us.
